The motel was in a great location, very easy to walk into the CBD. It had parking as well and accommodated our pet dog.

The hot water service is amazing. Showers excellent. We were there over extremely chilly weather so the shower was our savior. .The bed was comfy and warm.

The heater is too small for the room size imo. With such a lovely high stud the small fan didn't work well. We wrapped ourselves in the blanket to watch TV (rugby) I should have requested a ground floor unit as the stairs were a little steep for me.

Location is okay accessible to the city centre

No towels were provided during check-in, and there was no extra toilet paper in the room. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the bedding had cigarette marks on it, which made it seem like the sheets may not have been properly changed or cleaned. The TV was very small and not a smart TV, so there was no access to YouTube or Netflix. There was also no air conditioning — only a fan was available.

Enjoyed my stay, and was close to everything I need. The owners were friendly. Was quiet and relaxing stay.

The unit was spacious with sufficient bench space in the kitchen, decent sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Parking was good and the unit I had was at the back thereby reducing any traffic noise from what I know is a busy main road.

The lighting in the lounge-sleeping area of the motel could perhaps have been better. There was a light above the sofa on the wall which did not turn on when the opposite one did so. I would have mentioned this to the motelier but there was no-one around when I left. Also the fridge door sometimes came open of its own volition, which I would not be aware of until I looked. This caused the ice tray to ice up. The ice tray part was loose, so putting anything of weight in there, like a slicker pad, would cause the tray to move forward and push the fridge door open. I had to make sure it was as far back into the fridge before closing the door.

Loved to walkin to a happy gentlemen and his doggy at the front counter quick and easy handover the keys, greeted every morning

Very helpful and pleasant host. I messed up my dates and she was able to accommodate me. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice outdoor area with a swimming pool. Traffic was a bit noisy in the early evening but settled down and did not bother me overnight.

The accomodation was in a close location to everything, however it's on the main road and we went during the busy period so the traffic was heavy and noisy at times. The beds were comfortable and kitchen utensils and facilities were good.

We went to open up couch sofa to watch a movie but it was very dirty with mouldy food in it.

The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, kitchenette well stocked had even a coffee plunger and sky Tv. Our kid loved the swimming pool n the room. Parking on site and location was great

Nothing it was a good stay

We were travelling with our dog, so needed to find somewhere that was pet friendly. 299 on Devon West was very welcoming for dogs, and just asked for a $10 surcharge. The motel was clean, tidy and comfortable. There is a patch of grass at the back of the carpark suitable for dogs to have a sniff around and do their business, it is also easy to walk down the driveway and onto the footpath for a longer walk if needed. We have stayed in some terrible pet friendly places before (threadbare carpet and really run down), but this location is easily as nice as any other motel and offers the flexibility for people to bring their pets.

One of the three beds had a mattress that was a little uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. Typical for a motel I guess, but could do with replacement.

In need for refurbishment, old sofa should be replaced. Not enough cutlery. We had room with spa which we didn’t use

The lady at the front desk was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The linen on the beds were fresh and clean.

The rooms are in need of a makeover. The carpet was worn and I kept standing on the nail where it was exposed from wear and tear. A bit more attention to detail with the cleaning wouldn’t go amiss.

The two seater couch needs to be replaced as it’s uncomfortable and mould on curtains and bathroom removed.

Location is pretty central. staff was kind.

Fan wasn’t working well as its summer it was very hot in the room. Shower was a bit uncomfortable. Very old building. Ok to just come and sleep for the night. Not a place to cherish. Tv was placed too high. No use!

Size of the room was nice

Upon arrival, the person receiving us at reception was not very friendly( she mentioned she was looking after the place while owners are away) The place was incredibly noisy. You can hear traffic even with all doors closed. Unfortunately the fan also made a noise and this meant no sleep for us. The bed was so soft that when one person moved, it felt like you were lying on a water bed. The top comforter had quite a few stains on it ( so we immediately removed it) and parts of the apartment looked like it had not been vacuumed for a while. It felt like it needed some love, to be honest. We had booked for 2 nights but left before checkout the next day and communicated this to the lady at reception. We were not offered any refund for the second day ( as yet) even though we did not stay. We would not stay here again likely.

I loved the fact the cat came to say hello! Was so thankful to have somewhere to stay as I was away for brass band last minute the exit was scary as I’m still learning my car but staff were super friendly!!

Maybe needs another step going into door area into pool area was bit hard large step to go up down. Maybe hand rails to get in out of pool. Especially for older people.
