Ashbrook Motel Taupo

Warm room with electric blanket and very friendly receptionist

Heat pump was noisey

Large, clean and comfy unit. Short walk to shops, restaurants and cbd.

Nothing.

Lovely welcome from reception. The unit was comfortable and very clean in a quiet location handy to town

The unit felt a little cramped but absolutely fine for our overnight stay

Spacious and clean

Ashbrook Motel Taupō was fantastic. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the room was clean, inviting and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

Incredibly clean. Very comfortable and friendly welcome. Close to shops. Highly recommend.

Everything Excellent all round especially the reasonable tariff

Nothing at all

Awesome hosts, very comfortable rooms.

Spacious, clean, plenty of toweling - nothing worse than only being given 2 towels and having to go ask for more or expected to hang them for next day, it’s disgusting.

Everything was fab

Spacious room and tastefully decorated. Awesome value for money. Amazing staff. Made to feel so welcome . Recommend to anyone

Very easy access and well presented

Very clean and tidy. Small and convenient for a couple. Glad it had cooking facilities and the spa bath (even though it was small) it packed some powerful jets and we were just overall satisfied with our stay and would definitely come back again. Customer service amazing and thank you for letting us use your freezer to store our ice cream

That we didn’t stay long enough!

Everything, the cleanliness/hygiene of the room stood out - you could tell as soon as you walked in that they care for the rooms, even the beds were so clean and very warm , but overall it was very lovely from the moment we booked , to the customer service - the kindness staff and they acknowledged our children (they thank you for the lollipops, they were so happy), to the comfortable stay, to us leaving. Thanks again.

Nothing

Very clean huge room with spa bathtub.

Lovely welcome and given choice of room when we arrived. The place was nice and warm, clean and comfortable. i will definatly be back and would recommend to anyone with a short stop in Taupo.

nothing

A great unit. It had everything we needed, was comfortable and everything worked exactly as it should.

Very clean and comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable and had electric blankets which was an added treat! It was warm, and staff were extrefriendly and obliging.

Kitchenette wasn't really set up for cooking- no pots, pans or cooking implements. Reception gave us a pan when we asked but it would be nice to have it in the room (we just wanted to fry up some halloumi cheese, not cook a whole meal).

It smelt so clean and fresh when we first walked in. Nice new carpet and everything was well maintained. A very spacious unit. Good wifi. Easy carparking outside.

Nothing, was a great stay and I would stay there again if I'm back in Taupo.

Was a great stay staff friendly helpful room was clean comfy highly recommended.

Clean and comfortable near town and sports grounds

The man at reception was very efficient and friendly. The bed was super comfortable.

The heat pump was so noisy we couldn't use it.

Alloggio ampio. Bagno ampio, letto comodo

The room has everything that one needs. We used the washing machine and tumble dryer facilities which is handy. The staff were great. The room had everything one needs for a few nights stay

Love the location and it’s a nicely set out little apartment. Good kitchen facilities. Lovely staff.

We made the same comment last year - the condensation was so bad the walls were wet above the window frames and condensation was pouring off the glass. The response was “that’s winter in Taupō” but I don’t think that’s acceptable these days. Either double glaze, replace the aluminium frames and/or provide a Karcher window vac so people can keep the windows dry. For asthmatics this is a non-negotiable, we won’t stay again unless this issue is resolved. The heat pump also needs servicing.

Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Friendly staff. Only had the one night here as a stop between Rotorua and Napier but was comfortable and decent value. Short walk to centre of town and the lake.

Our room had a strange blind/curtain setup on either side of the door which did not provide much privacy if anyone was walking past our room. We managed to rig a solution with a blanket to improve the privacy, but might be something they could look at.

Close parking directly outside unit.

Clean & comfy Close to town centre Friendly happy staff member

Location is several streets back from lakefront

Very clean and spacious. A short walk away to the lake and centre of town.

Bathroom amenities were a bit limited.

Warm welcome and the room was very comfortable.

It was so big, way to big for me alone.

The fitting on the shower hose was hexagonal. For this reason the shower head did not fit snugly into its holder. So, when you turned on the water, the water pressure was too great causing the shower head to flop around uncontrolled. Also there was an intermittent light fault with the lighting, which caused the light to turn off whilst showering. These were small things in comparison to the rest of the motel room.

Loved the price location suited for this trip nice clean an wuite

staff very helpful and friendly. room was clean and tidy.

only one pot for cooking. could of done with a frypan or better still a electric frypan.

Comfy bed and great shower. Everything needed in kitchenette. Good amount of space and easy parking. Modern and comfortable. Great hostess.

At times, the shower temperature wasn't consistent.

This motel was so lovely and clean, super quiet, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Have already recommended this place to others, we really enjoyed our stay!

Very clean and tidy. No wired smell. Quiet street and very close to lake taupo centre.

Room very clean and tidy, well decorated, location is close to the lake, shower pressure and temp are superb. Host and staff are very friendly.

None

The room is compact but extremely clean. The staff were amazing, particularly the lovely lady in reception. Great location with a very short walk to all ammenities.

The host is very welcoming and the parking is right infront of the room which very convenient and also close to town centre and supermarkets. Overall it’s great stay.

נקי, נוח, הצוות היה מקסים. מיקום מרכזי ונוח

10/10! Highly recommended! The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless, modern, quiet, spacious, and beautifully presented with great attention to detail. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back!非常棒的住宿体验，房间比较新的装修，很干净，不在主路晚上很安静，但走路到湖边又非常的近，老板经理都很热情周到，强烈推荐。

Super clean and warm. Staff were very friendly.

Comfortable beds with good lighting and great spa bath

Lovely and clean and the bed was super comfy.

Nice thank you

Clean lovely

A modern, very clean and well appointed property. It was warm (even without using the heat pump!) and was thoughtfully laid out with a great kitchenette. The welcome was warm and friendly. It was quiet and convenient location. We will be rebooking on our next trip!

Nothing. It was excellent.

No negative experience at all so cannot comment about this.

Emplacement, propreté
