Great location, easy walk to town.

Bathroom sink was slightly blocked which water was slowly going down. Some Cutlery items weren’t clean and spare pillow in wardrobe had flea blood marks on it however everything else was okay

Size of the room was good. Washing facilities in the room was convenient. The bed was comfortable and the heat pump was very efficient

Hot water pressure variation in the shower was bad. TV did not work as described in guest information, didn’t connect to the server.

Rooms were spacious , awesome to have a dryer and washing machine in our room although we didn’t use it but will definitely be back when we plan a longer trip.

Very central location, rooms were lovely and warm and the heat pump was on and had warmed up the room when we arrived.

Unfortunately we could hear lots of footsteps upstairs constantly. Didn’t mind at night as they stopped by 9:30pm but started again at 7am. We also needed to ask for the body wash in the shower to be filled up.

Better quality bed linen with a fitted sheet rather than a flat bottom sheet. The condensation on the inside of the windows was awful. Very unhealthy. Toilet sistern button was stuck - water running constantly. (We did fix this) Narrow gap between hand basin and wall very dirty. Found a filthy teacup in the cupboard.

Got the last carpark on one night of my stay so might be a bit tight at times.

The motel looks lovely from the outside and is in a great location.

I booked a 2-bedroom apartment, but what I got was not a 2-bedroom apartment, but 2 rooms next to each other, but not even an adjoining door. They were completely different rooms, both with kitchens, etc. One of the rooms smelled so bad that we could not sleep in it anyway if we had wanted to. It seriously smelt like something, or someone had gone off in there. We were met by the manager/owner who said oh your here for your key, here handed it over, pointed in the direction, and off he went. I had requested a park in the app and was told I would have one, but there were none left. There was no milk in the fridge, and the soap in the shower was empty. I was very disappointed. This is the first bad review I have given on this site, and I have been on it for years.

Great to have an oven, and washing machine and dryer. Super quiet. And bed was comfortable.

The room had so many amenities. The full sized fridge was a plus. Very clean and tidy facility. A great room with a comfy bed. We will be back.

Reception on the weekend was open till 4pm. This wasn't communicated with us. It was a fluke that we came across a staff member off duty who let us in. An email or text to tell us reception was closed and how to get our key would have made all the difference.

Nice recently built motel. Spacious room with cooking and washing facilities. Short stroll to all the shops, cafes and restaurants and lake front.

Maybe restrict the volume on the TV as they back on to the beds in next room. Consider a sky sport subscription and remind people upstairs that their noise can travel through the floor to downstairs.

The quest signage should be illuminated- drove past it 3 times before I found the place - at 11pm at night it’s quite dark on those side streets and if name was lit up on side of building we wills have found easier

We arrived in Taupō late and the reception was already closed. After ringing the doorbell, we were told our reservation couldn’t be found. Booking.com showed it as confirmed and paid, but their system had it cancelled — apparently because we cancelled one room, it somehow wiped the entire booking. The onsite manager came down, checked everything, and got straight into action. Even though we were initially told the place was fully booked, he made a few calls and managed to sort us a room for the night. The real win was what happened next — the team reassured us they’d “look after us,” and they actually delivered on that. By the next day, everything was sorted and we didn’t have to move at all. Huge relief, especially over Easter Friday when finding last-minute accommodation would’ve been a nightmare. Aside from that hiccup, the stay itself was great — clean, well-maintained, and comfortable beds. Big credit to the staff for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience.

I liked how the room had all the appliances (dishwasher, washing machine) I liked how large the shower was, and I liked how there were movies that were free to watch. I liked how the curtains were so good I didnt realise it was light out.

Spacious room with great facilities. Staff super friendly and had everything we needed. Would 100% stay again. The washing machine and dryer in the rooms were such a treat after travelling without for 2 weeks.

Bathroom wasn't very clean, the sink in the bathroom was a bit blocked took a awhile for the water to drain. Pillows were very thin

Parking was great - on-site, free and enough for all the rooms. Room and bed was comfortable. Hair dryer, washer and dryer all worked great. Laundry detergent was provided. For anyone planning to do the Tongariro Crossing and taking the shuttle from Taupo, there is a pick up at the hostel across the street which made the 5am pick up easy.

There was no dish detergent.

On previous stays the accommodation was great but this stay the room was pokey, bed very uncomfortable and the heat pump wouldn’t warm the room even though it was March the room was icy and the bed felt damp. The staff were nice.

As stated above room pokey, icy cold as heat pump wouldn’t heat the room and bed felt damp. I have stayed in other Quest Apartments around NZ and this is the worst.

we were placed in the disabled room 101 on the left of the reception it was really a huge problem as the front door never stops banging when people enter and leave this went on through the night, also there is a loud keypad that is deafening in the still of the night this happened a lot between 2 am and 5 am and needs to be addressed as its really impossible to get any sleep in this room.

On arrival we were made to feel welcome, and we even had our luggage carried to our room. Thank you.

Perhaps some fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee making.
