Quiet location that is pet friendly

Lovely rural spot and only 5 minutes from town and supplies. The room was warm and well-appointed. Loved the shower. Great pressure and hot. Good wifi. Lovely grounds and view, and we were there on a very quiet weekend. I can see it being a great option for families and groups. The only comment I would make is that the bed was two singles pushed together which made for a slight hump in the middle, not conducive for morning snuggles, but that is a very minor observation.

A self contained room with a lovely outlook, well thought out and comfortable. The accomodation was positioned well for getting around Dunedin without the stress of traffic. It was a room for relaxing and unwinding after a busy day. Friendly and unobtrusive staff made us feel welcome;

Property has easy access both to Mosgiel, Dunedin and Dunedin airport, yet gives that lovely country feeling.

Loved our stay at the Longbourne Lodge! It felt very quaint and peaceful. We enjoyed our breakfast on the outdoor patio, and it's just a quick drive to Dunedin!

Very clean & had whatever we needef

Last minute stay and had we more time I would have liked to extend our visit. The owners are meticulous about their cabins and property. Have thought about every little detail to make your stay as safe and comfortable as possible. Stunning views of the mountains and countryside. The lawns and gardens are beautiful and we loved watching the little rabbits bobbing around. It is definitely a labour of love and the owners should be commended. Pat and Hugh C.

This is a stunning property, has lots of great conveniences, is well appointed, and the owner was lovely.

A little out of town but that suited me perfectly for the reason I was there. The setting and gardens are beautiful and the rooms are lovely. Quiet, clean and well equipped. If traveling with a dog there is a specified, fenced, off lead area which is just fantastic. This was my third stay and I will definitely stay again.

This is a unique rural property, in a nice setting. It had lots of space, clean and the roses were off the hook. We had a nice meal in town, at a place the proprietor recommended.

Great for traveling with the dogs. Exercise area, lots of grassy space and a clean quiet area to stay. The dogs loved it.

Our cabin was so very nice and quiet. Was very surprised with the full size oven and 4 burner stove top. The peace and quiet was delightful. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for being very welcoming and helping us with the flat on our rental car.

I have stayed at Longbourne multiple times before. Enjoy coming back each it. Love the rural setting the peace and quiet. The owners are lovely, friendly and accommodating. Tehe units are modern, warm and functional. Unfortunately after days and days of rain the grounds were sodden on this occasion and I didnt explore the gardens and grounds this trip. Will be back. Thanks

Great quiet out of the way family accommodation

very clean and tidy with excellent facilities!

A lovely setting, great views and warm and cosy. The lighting outside the door was not very good though. It was a bit tricky locking and unlocking in the dark. Cute little lights down the path though. Overall a great place to stay and I would recommend to friends and family.

Longbourne lodge was in such a peaceful setting. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our accommodation where everything was fantastic. The kitchen is well equiped and the lodge had everything we needed. Great stay, well run and I would absolutely stay here again!

Great place - a hidden gem and so good to be able to have fur babies stay with you too. Wonderful units with everything you need and more. Close to town although far enough away that you feel like you’re in the country.

A great place to get rest before flying out of Otago. Lots of room for the kids to run around and stretch their legs.

This is the second time we have stayed and generally, we were not disappointed. The studio unit was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom could do with a deep clean to the floor and surfaces but this is a busy time if year, so that maybe the issue.

A wonderful rural property that is only a short drive to the shops in Mosgiel. So appreciative that they allow dogs and they went out of their way to make sure we were all set up for a comfortable stay.

Out of hot water when we need to shower. Not suit for 3 persons stay as the sofa bed is discomfort. Anyway staff is helpful

Good location, well keep grounds, lovely clean and spacious unit

everything was fine.Only comment is would have been good if coffee/milk was renewed,and towels replaced after first night.Otherwise,highly recommend Longbourne Lodge

Fast and easy check-in, with a wonderful visit from Mr. Darcy (the owner’s friendly pooch). Very comfy bed, very clean and well appointed room. Private with a perfect outside deck to enjoy morning coffee. So pleased we stayed here!

We loved its setting and how well it is set up to accommodate dogs with the dog fenced area and a large area to walk around the perimeter.

Just a peaceful place to relax

We had a great little cottage, very comfortable. The location was not too far out of Dunedin. The premises was clean, tidy and warm. Lots of room for the 5 of us.

We enjoyed staying for 2 nights , very warm welcome ,it’s a private and quite location , warm and spacious unit . Full kitchen facilities . We are recommending this place for families who like to enjoy a holiday in such a lovely place . The owners are so kind and cooperative.

This is a beautiful rural property just a few minutes out of Mosgiel. Our one bedroom unit was tidy, clean and well presented. We were very comfortable here.

This place was quite and very relaxing. We jad a wedding just a few minutes away amd this spot was perfect.

Kitchen could be a little better stocked. Dish drainer rack would have been nice. A little surprised for $5 charge for the washer and for the dryer.

Quite and nice setting with horses and sheep's in the view. We arrived late and Peter was very nice to wait for us and show us around the unit. Room is great and relaxing, and we really enjoyed our stay here.

The owners were very helpful and accommodating. The room we had was huge and we used the bbq outside the unit for dinner and breakfast. Also huge lawn for kids to run around in.

Warm, welcoming and accommodating hosts!!!! Beautiful suites and the peace and quiet was unsurpassed!!!! While it is a short distance from the centre of Dunedin the traffic is minimal and the roads excellent and it can be covered in about 15 minutes. If you want a quiet location, combined with superb accommodations, and don’t mind a wee bit of driving, this is the place for you!!!!!

Fantastic property just outside of Dunedin in the countryside! Close and convenient and yet wonderful to be looking onto farmlands with sheep, horses and bunnies all around! Very nice host who was very helpful with late airport pick up when the rental car agency was closed.
