We liked the ease of booking, check in, and convenience for our requirements.

The sofa could be improved.

I liked the location, the bed was comfy but that was about all that I liked about the place. The staff were friendly though and tried to help with heating but one knew it was broken and should have gotten it repaired.

Heatpump did not work so we were given extra floor heaters - one of which did not work either. Heater in bathroom did not work either. Cold air coming all the windows - could feel cold draft everywhere. Dirty - food in sink, toilet not properly cleaned, floor not well vacuumed and overall bathroom not clean. Kitchen had minimum in way of plates, bowls, one little pot, few cutlery, etc... I don't mind things being outdated but this is in major need of overhaul. Stains on furniture. I booked here as had 4 out of 5 stars - no way this is a 4 star place. I froze and felt uncomfortable our two nights. They couldn't move us rooms as fully booked.

The comfiest beds! It was 2 rooms which was lovely and spacious.. very good location and lovely helpful hosts.

I don’t like a shower that isn’t a walk in or has a door…I seem to make too much mess with a shower curtain ..!

The room was very affordable, the room and bathroom was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable.

Overall the property is quite old and it shows in the bathroom particularly and traffic noise.

I didn't like any thing, it was worst booking.com I've ever had, and makes me actually reconsider using them, there ad said, including bath, we got to room with no bath

Zero communication, I literally called 30 times in there business hours and no one answered, I was trying to confirm late check in, luckily they called back after an hour and realised the room was booked or would have gotten to hotel to an empty reception, Worst experience with booking.com I've ever had, also I booked room with bath 🛁 and we got no bath 🙃 infuriating

Cheap and cosy place to stay in Invercargill. Rooms are large, warm and comfortable. Seperate kitchen and lounge area, heat pump, great shower pressure. Parking right outside room. Lovely, polite owners and easy check in. Thank you :-)

it is close to my son and his family...there is no room for me to stay at their place!

Bathroom light (probably) needs new bulb, not working. TV in lounge area too small and FAR too technological for this grey haired old technophobe. No instructions found, used one in the bedroom to watch. There was water on toilet floor, suspect from toilet brush container leaking, container was very dirty! Also found lack of electrical outlets in living area & bedroom a problem,trying to plug in heater etc for warmth, then I needed to plug in Hearing Aids for recharging overnight, plus phone.

Couch needing a new ones u cannot even sit in it as the springs are uncomfortable

Everything was all that was needed. Yes the accommodation was older, but it was all that we wanted. It was easily accessed, quiet and not "over the top" as motels tend to be to day. It also just happened to be around the corner from our first home that we had built in 1963 so it was a bit of a homecoming as well! Would we stay there again - hell yes and as a first choice!

Heat pump didn't work, room was so cold and had radiator heaters that took so long to warm the room. Reception was not manned and had to come back an hour later to check in, even after arranging a time to check in. Will not stay here again

I was cold on arrival and would have been nice to come to a warm unit rather than all the windows open and heaters turned off in the middle of winter. But no drama that it wasn't. It didn't take long to warm up

no electric blanket or cord to plug on one bed, one portable heater did not work, only one teaspoon, only free TV stations, very cold unit unit to walk into (7-9 degrees outside) would expect some pre heater when booked and time of arrival notified), only one chocolate drink available, kichen cupboard door did not fit, only closed with excess force.

Dirty plates and cutlery. The curtains were dirty, cobwebs in the bedroom and just generally unclean.

It was clean, warm, comfortable and extremely good value for money.

I arrived after 6. The heater was on in the unit.very cosy. The heated towel rail had also been turn on. A real treat.

The location was good.

The unit was incredibly dated. Paint peeling off walls. Shower floor was on a slope, and pretty spongy. Barely any plugs, the only ones in lounge were used for TV, not able to charge phone, had to have it in kitchen. The price was cheap, but for very good reason. Also (and there is nothing the motel can do about this, so not a criticism) this is on a very busy road, so can be noisy.

My unit was next to the street. I was concerned about the security of my bike.

I liked the fact it was well equipped for cooking your own meals which saved having to buy takeout all the time

It could do with a bit of an update. It was a little run down but comfortable enough.

Good heating in very cool weather!

The pillows. Quite noisy with heavy traffic on the main highway to Queenstown.

As advertised. Friendly man at the reception. We had issue with the room key and toilet. It was fixed quickly. Close to supermarket and other stores.

Wifi was not working most of the time. Or really weak. While it was like the pictures, it could be renovated. Furnitures are outdated. Carpet and sofa had stains.

I have never stayed in such a spotlessly clean room. It shone. Very comfortable with plenty of food options within very short walking distance. The Bach restaurant across the road excellent.

There were separate areas for the two of us to sleep.

Everything it's really uncomfortable and it's not a lot of hygiene their were rats and cockroachs crawling around and the bed sheets weren't even clean

Room was clean with a great comfortable bed / great shower, everything I needed.

Facilities are a little dated, but this is not really a complaint.

Stay there in other rooms. Quite good value for money. This time room 15 was shabby. Heater didn't work. Might have been made for wheelchair everything was low. Will stay again just not room 15.

Booking online, the photos showed the motel in great condition, like new and the flower beds were beautiful and lush. Entering the car park, which we couldn't access at first due to road works, was the 1st issue. Seeing the motel for what it was, I could see this was not how it presented in the photos. It looked run down and old uninviting. The office staff where polite but the office was and untidy & dirty, the carpet not vacuumed. I knew what to expect the moment I walked into the office. Our accommodation was awful. Old, run down and the decor tasteless, it just felt unclean and unappealing. It did not meet our expectations at all. The bathroom and toilet were horrible, and the bed looked old and rickety and uncomfortable. I cancelled the night's stay because I knew my husband & I would not be comfortable for 65+ year olds. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Towels didn’t get changed even when left on ground,One of the heaters didn’t work,broken couch so sat on the bed,had to slam door for it to shut,rubbish pile up a lot before cleaners remove it.

We had a disability unit. Not needed, but it seemed well set up for those who did. Spacious.

Although a bit tired we were very impressed by the size of the rooms. Having a separate bedroom and large bathroom was excellent
