Just a bit noisey with the cleaning seemingly starting quite early (7am?), however also means check-in's a bit earlier wasn't an issue.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026Great location easy walking distance to all main shopping in George Street plus the Octagon, Dunedin Railway Station University etc. The bedrooms & bathroom were spotlessly clean & heating made the rooms warm & cosy. Lovely views and very quiet. Parking easy and convenient.
Not being advised that the suite was up 3/4 flights of steep steps ...no lift available for luggage. We came off International flights this would have been very difficult had I been travelling on my own to access. We arrived in the dark it was cold & raining quite heavily at the time. Room remained very cold until heating warmed it up in 3-4 hrs. Kettle provided was leaking but nice little kitchen to make a cuppa and have a quick breakfast before setting out to explore.

The staff aren’t there at night, there was really noisy people in the room with no way to contact anyone. I was in motel on my own on the second night, but weird unstaffed. Forgot milk , I had to ask in morning, and didn’t restock the consumables in kitchen on second day .. seemed a bit slack when hardly any guests I got a gym key with no instructions and really hard to find at the stadium, I wasted ages looking for it

The grumpy man when we checked in. Our booking.com said in one place heck in open till 8.30, in another 9pm. we were late got there at 9.04 and the guy have is a big telling off. He apparently closes at 7 on Fridays and Saturday.
