I really like a bench, or a stool, in the bathroom to put clothes on in the bathroom - all this minimalism is not for me! We stayed two nights and would like a clothes horse to hang wet towels on - though we were given enough towels for both nights. The street signage was turned off too early, and we drove past without seeing the driveway.

Amenities bottles didn’t dispense well, so instead of pumping we had to remove lids. Air conditioner was too noisy to sleep with heating on.

I liked having fresh milk for my coffees Bed was extremely comfortable. It was nice to receive a hand written note as a welcome.

It would have been good to have checked in at 2 as I had my elderly Mother with me but that's really the only reason.

Friendly reception upon arrival, warm and clean rooms, close to shops and town. Excellent service.

A superb stay at this motel. The hosts were very friendly, the room was spacious and extremely clean, it took no time to heat with the heat pump and the facilities were all that you needed. It was also very quiet even though it’s near a main road. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Easy to book. Friendly owners and staff. This is our third stay with The Riverstone and it’s the same as our first stay. I will recommend them to friends if ever they are in Rangiora.

The hospitality was friendly and welcoming. It was very clean and surprisingly very quiet in spite of being on a main road Small detail but was grateful for real milk for our cups of tea instead of awful instant. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location for our needs, great coffee and breaky options at mitre 10 and pack and save whithin a quick walk. Super comfy beds, quiet even fully booked out with tradies and exceptionally clean and well equipped. Plenty of extra pillows, blankets and towels. Friendly owners/management

Location was great, very central, Pak n Save right next door. Room was big, and room was absolutely spotless! Mike & Charlotte were so nice and welcoming. Will be back again to explore!

Everything, from check-in to check-out the service and care was incredible. It felt like we were part of the family being welcomed into their home. The cleanliness is like nothing we have ever experienced in a motel, our room had everything we needed. Handy to shops + a great selection of tea and coffee available for the morning. Thank you for having us we really appreciated the level of care we experienced during our stay :)

Let’s not beat about the bush. The Riverstone Motel in Rangiora is one of the best motels in New Zealand. It’s not just its spacious room spotlessly clean and well-appointed with a very comfortable bed that give it this top honor; it’s the people that run it that gives it the edge over most other New Zealand motels. Mike and Charlotte are such wonderful hosts that the minute you meet them, you feel you have been old friend for many years. Nothing it too much trouble for Mike and Charlotte to make sure you stay is perfect. No wonder it is the only motel in Canterbury with a well-earned Qualmark 5-star gold rating for immaculate accommodation and sustainable tourism Having stayed at The Riverstone once, you will make it your Rangiora home for ever.

We felt very welcome, all facilities were exceptionally clean and in working order. Location was perfect for our needs with supermarket next door and cafes and restaurants handy.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. the room was large comfortable and very clean and was more than adequate for our needs. We couldn’t ask for any more from a hotel. There was always plenty of parking and the location was awesome next to a bistro and supermarket. The guest laundry was great and useful for our length of stay. Bed was so comfy and room was quiet aswell. Charlotte and Mike are fantastic hosts And would cater to any guests needs. If I am back in rangiora I would definitely be returning.

The hosts were very accommodating considering we booked in on Xmas day when the office is closed. A very warm welcome was waiting for us. The shower was Awsome.

They need to have a stool in the bathroom to put clothes on.

The attitude of male proprietor when trying to find out information re taxi or uber.. was quite dismissive and not that helpful.. as it turned out not the correct information given to me and lack of knowledge

We were in a 1 bedroom studio apartment upstairs, it was immaculate, lovely furnishings, very comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities and an excellent shower.

The Riverstone is a spotlessly clean new motel run by a charming couple, Charlotte and Mike. The king bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchenette was very well appointed. The owners were very helpful with dinner recommendations, and Mike went above and beyond to help me out with change for the onsite laundry. They couldn’t be more accommodating!

Owners are Super friendly. Can’t do enough to help. They even saw us going out on a cold night and put the heating on for us so that it would be nice and cosy when we got back. We will be staying here every time we visit the area.

I've spent the last 3 months working in Rangiora. That's 12 weeks at The Riverstone Rangiora, and I loved everything about it. Convenient, quiet, and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for super friendly hosts Charlotte and Mike. Every night I'd come back to the curtains drawn and heat pump on, and arrive to a welcome back note every Monday. It was definitely my home away from home. 100% recommendation from me
