AAA Marlin Motel

The Motel was easy to find, and well-placed for driving to the ferry the next morning. It was warm and cosy, and well-equipped.

We would have preferred to be able to wash up our dishes, but there was nothing provided for this.

Great service, given the weather conditions, the staff had got the room sorted with the heater on to warm the room with complimentary milk for tea and coffee. Enjoyed it and always try to stay there when in Picton

The room was excellent, everything you need and nothing you don't. It didn't have that awful motel smell that lots of others same to have which was a bonus. Larger than expected and lots of facilities. Great parking outside of room and friendly staff.

Was perfect for the price. No issues with the motel at all.

Very accommodating when we needed urgent xtra night stay (night prior to already booked date)due to road closures causing disruption in our journey

The heater was on when I arrived. The bed was comfortable.

The shower had no pressure. A little shabby for the money spent.

Staff were a great help when I arrived very wet. They allowed me to dry my motorcycle gear in their industrial dryer.

Always love my budget room here. Clean, warm, basic and quintessentially a kiwi motel. I especially love the history and authenticity of the branded crown Lynn crockery!

Theres nothing to complain about, everything works and everything is clean.

Clean and tidy, comfortable bed and very nice pillows, great parking for my motorbike.

Our studio unit was a bit dated but it had everything we needed, was clean and warm. The bed was comfy and we really liked the monogrammed crockery. Excellent value for money and the office staff are friendly and helpful.

Warm welcome, small cosy unit, ideal for overnight to catch the ferry. Only a couple of blocks from ferry terminal, easy 5 min walk into town centre. Very comfy bed, nice linen.

Bathroom could do with a fan or heatlamp/fan combination.

Great location,an elder lady at reception was amazingly kind, friendly and polite.

Motel a bit old, door couldn’t lock properly have to try to push it and turn the knob to make sure it locked. (Maybe just our room) towels provided was a bit old and one of them had stain on it. Bathroom door hard to shut and have to push it very hard which made a loud bang when shut bathroom door.

Was greeted by lovely , friendly lady. Good value for money. Old motel, but clean, tidy, and priced accordingly.

Ideal for ferry connection, secure off road parking.

delightfully retro

Compared to another motel I booked with, their email correspondence was quick and informative. The room was cosy and the bed was warm. After a day of travel, it was just what I needed. Also parking was in front of my room so it was easy to transfer bags.

TV didn't work and aerial issue. I used my iPad and WiFi was good

+ sehr freundlicher Empfang trotz deutlich verfrühter Anreise + geräumiges und pragmatisch eingerichtetes Zimmer, sehr sauber + großes Bad, ebenfalls sehr sauber + trotz Motelcharakter eher sehr ruhig + Stellplatz direkt vor der Tür der Wohneinheit + Innenstadt mit vielen Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten 10 min zu Fuß entfernt + Fährterminals in etwa 3 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen + stabiles und schnelles WLAN + sehr schöne Kurzwanderungen in der Umgebung möglich

Alors pour moi déjà une réception a l'ancienne avec un accueil comme Jai connu en nouvelle Zélande il y a des années en arrière avec la petite bouteille de lait frais pour accueil et le sourire. les chambre ancienne mais très propre est tout époque j'adore.

Une chose parfaite c'est emplacement a deux minutes du ferry pour embarquer le matin. Et pour la balade du soir aussi pour le repas a pied jusqu'à la rue piétonne du centre c'est super. Les petits restaurants du coin c'est super bon aussi.

A very good quiet location for a one night stay on our way south off the ferry. Appreciated ease of check in with a late night arrival.

Staff were very helpful, we had to call them during the week about the ferry sailing, lucky the sailing went ahead. Also we got in on the late sailing and were happy for us to turn up at midnight.

Very comfortable bed. Mini kitchen and microwave. Walking distance to town. Parking outside room and undercover.

Shower head was too low although pressure was OK.
