Dunrovin Motel

Nice outdoor area and staff

The best motel we have stayed in. Room was great. . Gardens were beautiful. Would stay again happily.

Refurbished

Room service had to be asked for towels

Having a kitchen was great. We walked to town shopped and walked back. Little long for 80+years old but very doable for younger people. There are taxis available.

There is no plug that lets a hairdryer get plugged in that's near a mirror.

I liked how spacious and clean it was

Location was good.

Lack of space to leave 2 suitcases open. Most places have that problem these days as modern suitcases tend to have 2 halves with clothes, therefore take up more room.

It was very clean and and seemed recently renovated kitchen and bathroom. I was in u it 1 and originally thought it would be noisy as it faced the road but no, it was absolutely fine. I also thought, because it is tiny bit off the center of the town , that I made a wrong decision to stay but again no, it was just a few mi it's walk to the centre where all the cafes and restaurants are. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had great basics . I even extended my stay to an extra day. I would gladly stay there again

There was nothing to dislike. The only thing I would improve is to have a washing machine at the motel

Parking at door

Bed small, soft and uncomfortable. Small room and very little space in bedroom to walk around bed.

Clean and lovely staff.

We were a bit put off by how small the room was, it felt pokey and somewhat squeezed in around the corner. However, everything was clean and obviously pretty new plus once we warmed up it was all okay. Thank you.

The accomodation I stayed at in Taupo. Will book again

Very easy check in. The room was clean and the bathroom had a heated floor!

Good location close to main centre of Taupo. Quiet. Easy self check-in. Good size room. Nice shower.

Double bed was a bit firm for me, but that's just personal preference. Otherwise great.

Very cozy place. We'll renovated, tidy and clean. Kitchen has what you need for fast meals and bathroom is very nice. Shower has great water pressure and relaxing hot water. Easy to do the check in. Staff replies quickly. Good location.

Bed is very soft and make it harder to sleep well. Pillows are new and very good though.

We got an upgrade to a bigger unit which was great.Friebdly staff.Warm clean and comy bed.Very large bathroom.Great kitchenette.

Very clean and comfortable. No stress checking in and out.

The aircon heater stopped working during the night but there was an electric blanket provided that countered it, and staff responded well the next morning.

Staff are very warm and welcoming, and friendly. The room was very cozy and very clean. Beds were super comfy and warm. The price is good. I would definitely recommend

I liked everything

Ample facilities

The room had been refurbished quite recently and was modern, clean, and very comfortable. Although it was on the smaller side, it was thoughtfully designed and made excellent use of the available space. It included a well-equipped kitchenette, a comfortable bedroom, and a modern bathroom. One feature we particularly appreciated was the underfloor heating in the bathroom, which was a real luxury during the cold Taupō weather. The room also had an efficient air conditioner that kept it warm and cosy throughout our stay. Despite the chilly temperatures outside, we were always comfortable indoors. Overall, it was a well-planned, comfortable, and enjoyable place to stay.

The only minor drawback was that the parking spaces were a little tight, particularly if you drive a larger vehicle. Fortunately, the motel wasn't fully booked during our stay, so parking wasn't a problem.

Clean, friendly staff

Our room was needing heat pump change during our stay, they only told us on the same day the installation was happening.

Cleanliness and availability of all requirements

All was good

It was clean and tidy and quiet

Exceptionally clean spacious room in close proximity to the town centre and lakefront. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Really good value for money, would definitely stay here again.

An excellent place to stay! The room was clean, tidy, and well maintained. The location is great, just a short walk from the lake. The facilities are modern, and the Wi-Fi was fast. It offers great value for money, and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They kindly arranged our self check-in at short notice and even turned on the heating before we arrived, so the room was warm and welcoming when we got there. We really appreciated their thoughtful service.

Good location, very close to town centre

Very clean and cosy

We were up graded the man said but it didn’t feel like it for the price our bedroom was quite small lucky to get around the bed

Clean compact warm

The room was very comfortable, loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and room was warm and clean, with great facilities. Close to town

Great location and customer service. Comfortable bed and all the amenities needed.

Great location. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Had a couple of issues with amenities but this was sorted quickly by staff who were very helpful.

Great location

All good,

Easy to find. Check in system different but good. The unit had everything we needed, and was easy to warm. Beds comfortable. Shower good. Heat pump worked well, except heat didn't reach bathroom.

Bathroom was very cold with no heater. Temperature was 0C degrees that night, so a heater in the bathroom would have been good. This is a older motel well modernised, but small by today's standards. The price reflects this.

Clean. Lovely staff. Shelley was there immediately you sort out a situation. Exceptional service.

Nice and clean

During our stay, there was a group of teenagers holding a party, and unfortunately the noise was quite disruptive throughout the night.”

Clean, warm and comfortable. Compact but had everything needed.

Only "two" of everything in kitchen. Have to keep washing cups/plates/glasses so can use again. Too wasteful to run dishwasher all the time.

Proximity to town and the other facilities we needed access to in the area was good. The kitchenette and bathroom were nicely stocked, everything you would need for a short stay. Unit was well heated and extra blankets etc were there for those that might want them. Great shower (pressure).

Unfortunately we got the unit closest to the road, so the road noise was consistent when we were trying to sleep. Don’t think that would be an issue for any units further back on the property. The unit smelled a little musty on first entry.

Location was conveniently close to town

Nothing, very happy

I requested a room upgrade which they were happy to do. The managers/owners were very friendly, I had a lovely long chat with Jazmine as I was leaving. I will definitely return

Cleanliness. I would say everything in this unit was brand new but quirky. We liked the heated bathroom floor and the well equipped kitchenette. The bed was very comfy and cosy and warm. Wonderful hot shower with good pressure.

The difficult front door locking system. No blind on the kitchen window, though it had lovely greenage outside, which we couldn't see when we arrived after dark. The bedroom was a bit small. I booked on booking.com and the deal was different to what we were told by the management. It didn't matter to us as we were leaving early but when one buys a deal that is what they should get.

The motel was walking distance to town and our room was very comfortable.

The bathroom was cold and could maybe have had a heat fan.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Local tranquilo. Bem localizado. Cama confortável. Estacionamento.

Lovely and clean and tidy great little home away from home

Perfect stay. I was greated upon arrival, the staff were so kind. I also loved the room and everything was clean and tidy. I requested for a parking space near my room and the motel so kindly carried out my request. Definitely recommend and will be staying here again in the future!

Nothing

The host was lovely. Place was clean. Walking distance to town or the lake.

Nil

We had a budget studio which was very good value. We especially appreciated the cleanliness

Very small niggle that the unit was not fully soundproof and our neighbours were fortunately quite quiet and went to sleep at a reasonable hour. However, their voices came through our wall loud enough to be a bit distracting. Would have been irritating if we had a noisy, late group.

Nice little cottage style unit, well appointed and comfortable, very clean with everything needed. Seamless mobile check in and very peaceful despite the central location. Exactly what I was hoping for - exceeded expectations.

Cosy stay close to the centre of Taupō, comfy bed and the heater was great! Had everything you needed to have food at the accommodation:)

Soap bars were appreciated but some shower gel would have been handy :)

Very friendly staff, very clean room and bathroom

Clean, warm and cozy room.

We had a very short stay, unfortunately. The unit was lovely and clean with everything you need. I can see us staying here again.

Great location and comfortable beds. Quick and easy access.

We had a situation with the bathroom flooding but it didn't ruin our stay.

Good location

No personal contact

Unit is clean, well lit, well equipped and surrounded by plants which make it pleasant to look out of the window. Walkable distance to the beach / restaurants. Friendly and welcoming staff. We were only there for one night but I could see ourselves staying longer under different circumstances.

The chairs at the table could be more robust. It felt like they might brake if you leaned in with too much weight.

很不错的地方，地理位置靠近陶波湖，停车方便，住宿舒服，自己烹调也设施齐全，很不错。来第二次了
