Waikanae Beach Motel

It was clean & tidy. Very good location Very good value as we only required a place to sleep for 3 nights.

We were able to make a hot drink & cook toast. There was a microwave but it did not have a full kitchen but that was ok as we were not needing to eat where we were staying. Other units do have kitchens.

The receptionist gave us a free upgrade because we were travelling with a baby, so instead of having a room on the second level she gave us a ground level room, thank you so much 😊

The Bedroom was very small and hard to walk around the bed. You can hear upstairs guests walking around.

Our 3rd stay at Waikanae Beach Motel and it is consistently excellent. Lovely staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, superb location at a reasonable price.

Great location, near town, just across from the beach, and with a refreshed Waikanae Cafe up the road doing a decent coffee in the morning. I appreciated the aircon keeping me warm on a chilly evening.

Receptionist was so kind, had an elderly friend who may have found the stairs difficult.. we were upgraded at no extra charge.. much appreciated!

No complaints… just one wine glass that hadn’t been washed properly..probably overlooked as it was on a high shelf..

the shower kept going hot and cold 😂 it didnt bother me but my 3 year old wasnt to happy when it went cold 😂

We liked the location, we liked the price, we liked the bathroom and all the facilities. We liked the staff - very professional and friendly. The unit was very clean and we liked that.

My husband would have liked a comfy chair to sit in to read the paper. There would be room for one (or possibly two, smallish arm chairs inside the door by the bench unit. We also thought the bed needed updating as we both ended up in the middle - Must have had some big bodies in there weakening the springs. Also the exterior of the place could do with a bit of a spruce up e.g. painting etc.

Older unit but clean, tidy, roomy (for 2 people) & very comfortable. Also nice & private with nice garden outlook. Location - handy to everything. Walk to beach, very short drive to town & restaurants. Will stay again.

Carpark is tight for a big ute :-) But there's plenty of on road parking.

Great place and exceptional value for the price

Lovely staff, so friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in, Room 12 was equipped magnificently. Air fryer, BBQ, pedestal fan etc. Some parts are a little outdated (kitchen cupboards, bathroom) but that didn't detract at all from our stay. Very comfortable and homely. Thank you !

It was tide, clean and close to the beach, good communication from staff.

Parking was a little tight

Clean, bright and lovely staff. Fresh milk in a glass jar is AWESOME, such a nice touch. I’ve stay a few times and love the place, parking tight but as long as you can drive then parking won’t be so bad. Wifi real good, beach is like 50 steps away, Cafe up the road on the beach. BEDS, SHEETS and PILLOWS , so clean and fresh. If you want GREAT VALUE and good service then book here.
