Great location to be able to grab groceries and jump on the bus.

Pebble stones paths to cabins are a nightmare especially at night. Rooms are alright except have to contend with faulty door although a better room was offered.

Owners available for consultation; Great location; Comfortable and clean. Suited me perfectly.

Stayed previously but much preferred the accommodation I had this time. Private unit, nice outlook, helpful owners.

Loved the bed we had the best sleep, nice linen. Washing machine and dryer onsite free of charge.The owners were super friendly and allowed us to check in a hour earlier. Walking distance to the supermarket and other shops in the area.

Stayed at the Waiheke Motel for a few nights and was really impressed for the price. It’s one of the more affordable options on the island, but you don’t feel like you’re missing out. The location is excellent — super easy access to the beaches and a short drive to everything else.The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely quiet, which made it perfect for a proper rest. Everything felt well looked after and no fuss.Would definitely recommend it for anyone on a budget who still wants to enjoy Waiheke’s vibe, or if you’re coming over for work and just need a clean, comfortable place to crash. Great value!

Lovely place! Stayed here with the fam whilst visiting for a wedding and was exactly what we needed. Super convenient location in the middle of island and reasonably priced. Right across the road from the famous waiheke Saturday market too!

Kelly is a fantastic host and made the stay very welcoming. The location is excellent, with a bus stop and supermarket just a 3-minute walk away. It’s a lovely, quiet, and clean setting—perfect for relaxing. A great place to chill, and an ideal base for travelling around the island

From the moment we arrived at the motel, we were welcomed with warm smiles and outstanding service from the professional and friendly staff. Their genuine hospitality immediately made us feel at home. Our room was spotless and exceptionally well-presented, with everything we needed for a comfortable and effortless stay. The attention to detail was evident throughout, and all facilities were maintained to a very high standard. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a warm and restful night's sleep. It was clear that guest comfort is a priority, and this contributed greatly to our overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this motel to others. We look forward to returning in the future.

Pleasantly surprised at how great this place was. After reading a few reviews I had low expectations but this motel was clean, spacious and handy - especially as we didn’t have a car. If you want a base to explore the island that doesn’t break the bank (like the rest of waiheke!) I highly recommend.

This little secret hidden among the multi-million dollar mansions on Waiheke Island and a hop-skip and a jump from the beach is sublime. Kitsch and Kwerky in all respects these motel units pay homage to mid-century Palm Springs feels, Kiwi styles. The wife and I wanting to sneak a weekend away from the hustle n bustle of Auckland (and the teen sons) we secured a last minute cancellation. I dont think the owner Kelly does this as a service but realising from our phone call what ferry we were arriving on organised a trip to the shops for himself to also pick us up. Happy to stop enroute to the motels to grab ourselves some wine, beers from the Bott'lo and snacks from the 4Square this guy said 'yes, sure' to every request and we hadnt even arrived at our digs. We got a run down on all the best restaurants enroute and after checking us in and meeting other weekend escapees from the big smoke we discovered they too got the 5 star welcome (Kelly) experience. The rooms were clean and a good size, enough for our weekend escape sized bags. Big and comfy beds and the kitchen was clean and inviting enough for the wife to prepare cheese n salmon platters and sit outside with a wine and continue to meet our neighbours. My only annoyance with the service was both my teen boys turned up one with his girlfriend the next morning (the wifes geo-location was on) and instead of telling them "No I havent heard of your mum and dad" when they called - we are awoken to Kelly and my sons organising us into a 3 bed cottage!!! So while hearing there was no food in the fridge at home I'm same time glaring at Kelly WTF!!!! So while the digs and location and Kellys service are fantastic, book in under a false name if you're trying to escape the kids.

Enjoyed the property as it was very spacious (too many beds and wardrobes) and complete kitchen, enjoyed my birthday stay. We loved the trampoline outside! Great view, near the Farmer’s Market.

The pool and spa was dirty so we didn’t had the chance to use them.

The fact we arrived and no receptionist or keys for us to get into our room after waiting 2 hrs no email nothing to advise how to get in the room. And had an after hours number to ring then ring back two hours later and made out tgere no problem after explaining. No refund option or apologies or discount. And to top it off half a roll of toilet paper

The location was good, close to bus stops and the supermarket and takeaways. The fridge was clean.

The room was dirty and rundown. Stains galore over the carpet, a window in the kitchen with a broken latch that wouldn't close (got eaten alive by mozzies), cobwebs on the windows in the lounge, grime on the kitchen windowsill, it just felt very icky and unsafe.

I liked that it was close to shops and supermarket and the market on Saturday was amazing

Didn't like the shower was hard to get warm water then it would change from hot to cold in a heartbeat plug wasn't attached to shower floor Hated that the only power plug was over toilet so had to dry hair over it Room didn't get serviced didn't mind it to much but had to go to supermarket to buy coffee as 5 pk wasn't enough Smokes in the outside container on deck

It was in a lovely spot, close to the supermarket and local bus service which was very helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the telly didn't lack channels. The pool was nice tho the spa is in need of a clean out and refill.

The lack of coffee... 2 sachets for a full weekend and a hot chocolate in the plunger.... A few things just need a touch up or a tighten the barn style door to the bathroom felt loose and the curtain on the main door didn't fit.

Easy to find, reasonable rate's, easy instructions to follow to check in. Comfy bed with clean linen. well appointed kitchenette.

En-suite door needed repairing as it didn't open properly, TV need's upgrading as it kept cutting out and had no controller. No air conditioning.

The carpets were dirty and the bathroom.

Very convenient, easy to find, close to bus routes, generally quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and accommodating for a very late arrival and ability o leave a little later too. Not fancy, but did the trick.

It was dirty, with filthy windows and spiderwebs. There was a big spiderweb with resident spider right above the bed I slept in, the bed under the window, so only inches from my face! the blinds were dusty, the shower was broken and door was off tracks and couldn't be shut so had to shower with it open. the 'view' to the sea that was advertised on website was in fact just straight out into scrappy bushes, and the 'pool and spa' was a disgusting green with leaves and dirt on the surface. absolutely NOT what it appeared on the website. The carpet was stained and felt dirty and damp underfoot. The room had a damp musty smell, and only 1 chair for 2 people. very disappointing, and expensive for what we got, will not be coming back. There was no one in reception to check in or out and we were within business hours both times, just a key in a box - which was fine but I expected to see someone at least the next morning. Interesting that the photos on the website are all of seemingly nicer rooms, there is no pics like the room we stayed in and definitely not the same pool - FALSE ADVERTISING!

Old, zero capital Investment in c25 years, no staff encounters at all. Not present at checkin or check out or during stay.

Price reasonable accommodation option and the quality just corresponds. Location is great. Kids enjoyed a large trampoline. Staff was nice and helpful.

The motel was quite run down and not what we expected. Our accomodation was really spacious but old and not as clean as it could have been. No air conditioning and it was very hot, the fans provided were old, rusting and one wouldn’t stand up. The curtains were dirty, old and let a lot of light in. It also smelt weird when we first arrived so some diffusers would be ideal. The spa pool water was bright green. It has the potential to be amazing accomodation, especially as it is in a good location and is a good size. With a bit of effort put into the decor, furniture and cleaning it could be an awesome stay that people would be more than happy to return too.

No fly screens on windows so at night you have to choose to either be stifling hot with all the windows shut or be eaten by mosquitos

Actually really loved our stay here as a family of four. Good value for money for such a huge room and in such a great location. Kids loved the trampoline, swimming pool and spa and we loved our back door opened up to these facilities so kids could come and go as they pleased. Beautiful view of the water from the living room. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Quick walk to supermarket, eateries and the bus stop! Would 100% stay again.

Yes it’s run down but you get what you pay for. The location and size of the rooms def makes up for that in my opinion.

Had everything stated but the property had started to date. The photos didn’t reflect the room we ended up with. It was clean and tidy and was adequate for what we needed. Only interaction with staff was at the end when they had started to clean the room before we had actually checked out (we had gone for breakfast).

What a brilliant place and price for our stay on Waiheke. Place was bigger then we anticipated and was fantastic all round. Kitchen, bathroom, dining and lounge area plus 2 seperate bedrooms. We had a fantastic time. Beds were comfy and place very clean. Will be visiting again!!

Location was odd - must be the worst street on Waiheke. Very close to neighbours - children and dogs running around, so no real privacy. This isn't a 'professional' type of accommodation, it's a run-down older style bach, without the facilities or decor i'd expect from a Motel provider. If I wanted to rent someone's bach I would have gone to bookabach or an Air BnB.

Large room. Easy to access with note left for us. Trampoline for my daughter to bounce on.

Seemed more of a place a tradesman would stay than for a tourist/ things needed a revamp as seemed old such as the yellow toilet seat. The pool wasn’t open and looked tired and old.

-10 out of 5. Paid $250 US. ,440nz. I saw Kelly in town and told him a few things needed. Such as replacing a broken can opener. TP. He says, request coming. Well it never came. We were later told that those items will not be provided. Hum. Ok. Is he scamming his guests? I left a note saying there were safety issues, would Kelly like me to review them. No response. I left a note because the office is never open. I stayed there in December for 15 nights. Saw Kelly for a few minutes the whole time. Smoke alarm had to be reset. Which little 5 foot me, had to climb on a chair and whack it with a broom. Fridge door wouldn't shut because the freezer was caked in ice. Toilet wouldn't stop running. I'm not a complainer. But this was over the top terrible. I have family in waiheke. They told me to not ever stay there again. There are many other options.

Bad mouldy smell as soon as we opened the door, said in the book rooms would be serviced daily, we stayed for 3 nights and not once was the room serviced. Our bin was overflowing with rubbish. Child safety door was coming off the hinges. I tightened it everyday but kept coming loose again. Place needs a major overhaul. Maybe some will say it's not expensive but only in NZ would close to $300 per night not be classed as expensive for this place. Location was great.

Poor customer service and communication and not clean at all. A friend booked for us and paid the first night, then when we checked out and wanted to pay the second night no one was at the desk or answering the phone… also found cockroaches in the bathroom cabinet and cobwebs all over the place. Not worth the price at all
