The location, had what i needed, jug toaster ect

Even though my stay was paid for they wanted my credit card. They told me they would give me their best room it was very tired with holes patches very badly. They smell of chemicals was very strong when I opened the door.

We did not stay due to it being very dirty and not ready when we arrived.

Beds were not made, kfc left on the table, dirty towels in the bath and shower.

When we first opened the door, you were hit with an intense curry smell that did not leave throughout the duration of our stay. Heating was off before we arrived however was fixed that day. The reception is not on sight you have to walk to another motel and when you arrive the receptionist is never there, you have to waste call time to reach her for anything. The place it self would be nice if more effort was put into cleaning. One of the single beds looked like it was just slept in and the bedding pulled up. Black crumbs were found between the sheets. When opened the fridge, raw meat fell out. There are absolutely no laundry facilities. Cleaning arrived at like 430, with an attitude. We wondered why the milk tasted funny, it sits in the cleaner trolley all day uncovered. It was sunny that day. Alot of food was burnt, the oven settings are backward bake is grill and vice versa. The place has potential unfortunately its lacking in alot of areas. This lodge and 2 others along the same street is owned and cleaned by the same people, time and priority is not focused on one place what a shame. They also have a safety hazard of a tramp i would hate for kids to get hurt by this.

No staff or reception on site, driving to another motel to collect key. Faulty sliding door.. Wall panel heater was inefficient to heat the room. Broken double bed. Overpowering musky smell due to leaking shower, which leaked into bathroom and main living/bed area. Carpet was soaked. Mould in the shower cubicle. Insufficient linen. *The photos on Booking.com are years out of date.

Location as the best redeeming feature of the stay

The room was very tired. TV remote hard to work. No staff on site to assist. Bathroom very old fashioned.

Noise next to road, smelly, not clean, windows broken, locks for door dodgey, muttering broken, laundry locked, no TV stations. Website photos do not represent the standard of the property.

Nothing It was dark the room was cold, the single bed was tiny, the smoke alarm was beeping, was told to remove the battery. I had to walk down the dark road in the cold to collect key from another accommodation place. Second accommodation provided by receptionist Upstairs Electric blankets did not work faulty toilet seat. Was unstable

Walk to Jackson St, restaurants , bars , parking near door .

Tv remote bit worn out , struggled to work at times , not many power points in main room area .

Room was not as shown on the website. It was tired, not particularly clean. Heater not working, toilet was noisy and the dishes were dirty in the cupboard and one drawer front was missing (found in another drawer). Valance on the main bed was stained badly

Location was ideal for us

Smell hit us as soon as we entered the doorway. Cleanliness was an issue, we had a purchase more bedding - our daughter broke out in a rash after the first night, and we were bitten after sleeping in the beds! Whilst the linen "looked clean" there were unseen issues. Had to buy a sleeping bag to sleep in. Insufficient cutlery, 1 teaspoon, 1 knives, and 3 random spoons for our family of 3, bent forks etc, no dish cloths for dishes or wiping down benches, dishwashing soap in a powerade bottle. We weent and purchased our own washing gear and washed everything before using it. Door/ranchslider difficult to open or shut or lock - window latches were either broken or loose, and there was no ventilation fan or heating in bathroom. We requested some additional blankets but got no response - staff were unresponsive and not very helpful.

This establishment stole money from us. Several hours after I checked out, they called me and accused me of stealing a microwave and kettle without providing any proof whatsoever, just the word of one of their "supervisors". They then proceeded to charge our credit card for over $300 without notifying us. When I phoned them to try and get our money back, they were very unprofessional and refused to provide us with any proof even though they claim have CCTV cameras. I would not trust this place with my credit card information. You never know what they might end up charging you for (without your permission). The place itself is also very run-down and poorly maintained. My room window had a large crack in it so it was quite draughty. Avoid at all costs!

During our stay we observed issues including cobwebs, mould in the shower area, sticky and dirty flooring, holes in the walls, and several other maintenance and cleanliness concerns. We took photographs of these issues as we found them quite concerning from both a comfort and hygiene perspective. I believe feedback is important so that future guests can make informed decisions and so that management has the opportunity to improve the standard of cleanliness, maintenance, communication and customer service across the property. Our experience did not reflect the level of hospitality we had hoped for, and unfortunately we would not choose to stay here again.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received during and after my stay. I contacted the hotel regarding a black hat that I accidentally left in Room 8. The item has significant sentimental value to me, yet despite following up, I have not received a proper response. On Saturday, I spoke with a lady who told me that the hat was already at reception and could be picked up at any time. Based on that information, on Sunday, I asked a favour of one of my colleagues from my company in Wellington to collect it, as I live in Christchurch and did not want to inconvenience anyone unnecessarily. However, when I rang about 20 minutes before the pickup, I was told that they could not find the hat at reception. This was very disappointing and reflects a clear lack of communication. I understand that staff can be busy, but acknowledging a guest’s inquiry is a basic expectation of good customer service. The lack of communication made me feel that my concern was not important. During my travels throughout New Zealand and after many years of booking accommodations through Booking.com, I have never experienced such poor customer service. The staff did not make me feel welcomed, and the lack of responsiveness after my stay only reinforced that impression. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional customer service training to ensure guests are treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. Even when there is no immediate solution, clear and timely communication can make a significant difference to a guest’s experience. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a very negative impression of the accommodation.

Great shower head

No internet. We got locked in as it had a dodgy lock. Had a strong chemical smell on arrival. Not cleaned very well. Very tired property.

Cleanliness

Shabby and very dated needs renovating

Not meeting health standards or motel accommodation cleanliness standards at all. And certainly not a 4 star grade. Please note the following maintenance and cleaning needs to be done - shower drainage needs to be looked at - the water is not draining well. The shower door needs replacing, many areas need more detailed cleaning with black mould appearing. The carpet needs cleaning and the carpet upstairs is torn and has a lot of paint spills over it. The area around the front door frames is very filthy and must be cleaned. The stove has 2 elements not working and a light above the downstairs bed is flickering. Water drives in the front door and the carpet was sodden.

Stingy with basics (one teaspoon). Very old mattresses. Paint peeling. Very old kitchen/bathroom. Asked for a hairdryer, was told they would provide. They never did.

What breakfast? The location was great . No real complains as it was the only available room at such short notice!

The shower was nasty, not sure who the cleaner is but they should be fired. Black slimmy, moldy soap scum around door handles and the other metal areas in shower.

The bed was comfortable. The room was warm.

No dish cloth to dry the sink. We asked the cleaner but her English was so poor she couldn't understand. Only one teaspoon. Didn't make the bed. Only one pillow each...no spares.

Very handy to the railway station which was important for me. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable. There was good lighting and the shower water pressure was great.

No staff at the site. I had to collect my key from another location down the road. I didn't feel particularly welcomed when I arrived. That office was open but unmanned when I returned the key.

It was good and local, very warm at night. Comfortable and clean.

The curtains could have been cleaned up a bit to make it look more presentable on first sight. Also the smell of the rooms when we first arrived took a day to get used to.

I did realise reception was at another motel a block away. I arrived at midnight, it was very dark with no lights left on to help see where I was entering the unit. The smell was really bad inside the unit. And look like it needed a really good clean.

The price is good but the place could be a lot cheaper. 1 coffee cup no teaspoons. I actually take my own tea sugar and milk as the stuff supplied is awful

My stay was cancelled. When rung up to give my card details the person was not contactable and I was unable to leave a message. When I said to person I was driving to get there she was a dick about her response that I wouldnt be driving that far and could call back. I said it was my job... Later she said I could call by 7pm to confirm my booking and arrival. I rang before 6pm and she said my booking was cancelled. I wont be recommending them

Extremely rundown and untidy inside and out. Not clean at all. Lots of botch repairs in the unit. Didn't expect the Ritz but there has to be some level of standard.

Our bed was broken only had two bed legs. It would be a nicer place to stay if everything was deep cleaned and outside was washed.

Beds very comfortable

The lighting over the sink was not working. There was no kitchen sink plug. Someone had left frozen chips in the fridge freezer. The door to the fridge show be changed to open the other way this is easy to do.

I have been staying here for a long time, and most of my friends also choose to stay here whenever they come to Wellington. The parking here is very spacious and convenient. Also, the girl working at the reception has a very pleasant attitude and speaks in a very polite and professional manner

Firstly, there has been no hot water available since yesterday, which has caused significant inconvenience. Secondly, the overall cleanliness of the unit upon arrival was below an acceptable standard. Additionally, despite clearly requesting not to be disturbed over the weekend, this request was not respected. These concerns have made the stay uncomfortable and not in line with the standard of service expected. As a result, I believe a full refund is justified due to the poor service and failure to meet basic accommodation requirements.

Our bedside lamp wasnt working and nor was the light over the mirror in the bathroom. The wardrobe was just a cupboard with no rail to hang clothes. It was not insulated - so much condensation. The whole place needed TLC. We left a day early.
