Perfect location for visiting all the local shops and restaurants. Everything is within easy walking distance.

The location

Felt like being in someone's home. Very comfortable and comforting. Everyone else staying was also very respectful about keeping their noise and sounds to a minimum during the quiet hours. Loved trying out your favourite coffee bean recommendation in the morning. It's a beautiful house inside and out. Loved the floribund garden.

The walls are very thin inside the house. Noise travels easily.

You couldn't ask for a better location: a half minute walk to the street with virtually all the wonderful shops and restaurants of Nelson on it!

The floors were a bit creaky, and sou d proofing wasn't great, which didn't really bother us, but if you are a really light sleeper it could be.

I really liked the room. It was quiet and spacious and perfect for a longer stay.

I thought the property was lovely. There wasn’t anything I really didn’t like about it. I was really impressed with the products that they provide to use good quality and plenty of them.

Felt like home after travelling on the road for the past few months. Great location, comfortable with sunshine pouring in ☀️

Spacious with character

Great quiet location close to the town centre with easy access. Great parking and lovely facilities. The room was super comfortable and we will definitely be re-booking if we come back to Nelson!

This is an older renovated Victorian home. Great care was taken to make the unit comfortable. The unit felt very classic, but was very up to date. The kitchen had all the amenities you would want. The bedroom / living room was very spacious. The location, only a block away from main Baker St, was superb. The heating was very effective.

Spacious Victorian suite, right downtown. Extremely clean, super comfy bed & well executed . Many thoughtful touches.

Comfortable location to stay at. Quiet area, easy walk to restaurants, Main Street, etc. Damage to the outside fire escape stairs from a vehicle “not making the corner”, which made them unusable, was a bit concerning. The grout between the tile above the shower was rather stained, and could use a good cleaning. Otherwise, an enjoyable, quiet, good location place to stay.

The Verandah Suite had everything we needed to spend a beautiful 3 day escape to Nelson. A lovely little town. I would definitely stay here again when back in Nelson.

Room had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. Ate at home a few times because we had a kitchen, ate out because we were close to Baker Street. Helpful owner. Convenient to downtown. Noisy with commuters during working day due to traffic from off-ramp and highway, however that calmed down as the night went on.

Staff was not on-site, but we're quick to arrive to solve a minor issue

Myself and my 3 teenage daughters had a delightful stay at the Victoria Falls Inn, the access to downtown shops and service was fantastic, and the ability to cook lovely meals with our locally purchased food was the icing on the cake. Cathy-Ann was also full of great tips on great swimming and recreation spots for the family, including our dog! We’ll be back!

I love vintage homes that are in impeccable shape!  The beds are extremely comfortable, the bathroom is huge, spotless and well supplied with amenities. Kitchen had everything we needed plus extra treats from local businesses.  The air-conditioner worked well on the +30 days - closing the excellent blinds in the hottest hours made a huge difference. The location cannot be beat - easy to get to, ample parking, and right downtown, so close to everything.  Our favourite stay in Nelson - would book it again in a heartbeat. Big thank you to the excellent hosts! 

There's truly nothing not to like.

Right at the beginning of Baker street this was a perfect and accessible spot to stay. The suites are beautiful and extra touches inside make you feel well taken care of, the included laundry was a big help while travelling with a baby, and the staff are easy to reach, helpful and sweet.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Nelson.

Location was right in town off the Main Street. We were able to walk to the lake and to restaurants with ease.

The mattress wasn’t on a box spring which made it uncomfortable to sleep on. The mattress itself was comfortable but it was on a wooden bed frame without slats.

Lovely quaint accommodations. Central, clean and overall fantastic!

Comfortable room located just off Baker street so everything we needed was withing walking distance. We arrived on motorcycles and were delighted to find parking on site for both bikes.

Cathy-Ann was a very attentive and caring host. Our suite was well equipped with AC and appliances. Used the laundry on site as well. Will definitely come back!

The bed had a large dip/hole on one side which was difficult to sleep on. Otherwise the place was amazing!

This is a beautiful historic property renovated into several units. It's welcoming the second you reach the gate as you walk under an arbor covered in flowers. The lawn and gardens are well maintained. Inside they have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Dishes, soaps, extra toilet paper, hair dryers and even a fan are provided. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Nelson on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

We did really enjoy everything . Because we were three people the kitchen counter was a bit small for us . However lots of storage in the fridge,in the cabinets , very well equipped kitchen and nice plates , bowls and glasses

We love how clean and cozy it is. Our 2 kids loved the bunkbeds and the view from the bedrooms with the mountain backdrop is just incredible. The location is prime, just 10min walk from Cottonwood Falls and 5min walk from any restaurants or shops. Highly recommend this place!

I love the proximity to historic Baker street, private off-street parking, beautiful old heritage home with a fenced yard and pet friendly! This is a perfect place to stay while visiting our college student attending Selkirk.

The property is fantastic—centrally located, with charming historical features. The MOD was welcoming and friendly, making my stay enjoyable. However, my departure experience was disappointing. I realized I left my ergonomic pillow behind, which is essential for medical reasons. Unable to retrieve it personally, I asked if it had been found. After a day and follow-ups, they confirmed it and agreed to ship it if I sent a label. A few days later, there was confusion over a delayed charge for my stay, which I mistakenly denied but quickly resolved. In the same email, I sent the shipping label for the pillow. I was told the pillow would be shipped the next day but received no updates. After two days, I followed up, offering to schedule a postal pickup to ease their burden. Despite my efforts, communication stalled. When I reached out to the MOD for an update, I received a scolding email asking me not to contact the MOD again and accusing me of being angry and unsympathetic to the owner's personal hardships—an accusation that felt unwarranted as I remained professional throughout. The situation is frustrating. My medical condition requires proper spinal support, yet the pillow remains packed with no shipment date or pickup address provided. While sympathetic to the owner's circumstances, I hoped for mutual understanding of my needs. Now, I face either buying a replacement pillow I can’t afford or continuing doctor visits indefinitely—all due to poor communication.

The property manager Debbie is excellent in customer care. She sent me a message prior to my arrival informing me of her role. When I contacted her for a kettle during my stay, she responded and took care of my ask in a timely fashion. My experience of staying in this lovely nostalgia house was cosy and comfortable.

Location was incredible. We walked 5 minutes or less to every restaurant we wanted to check out.

Noise bleed from the other rooms was pretty bad. We could hear everything going on in the other rooms and I was kept up one night because I could hear someone snoring in a different room.

Very cute place! Super cozy and close to the downtown area. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The property manager was incredibly attentive and helpful.

Really nice and cozy place. We stayed in the Baker suite. Comfortable and large place. Has all amenities required for making your own food. They even gave us pasta, sauce, and local coffee beens that we used with the French press provided! It's really easy to find and get into through the self checkin procedure. Parking is available and free. Really enjoyed the stay while skiing at Whitewater Ski Resort. Location is central and walkable distance to everything...

Loved the old character of the beautiful charming house. Very walkable to amazing restaurants. The only thing to note, it is not quiet as it’s right next to a highway off ramp/busy road, also can easily hear guests is other rooms and above with the creeky floors but guests did a good job during quiet hours. Host was very helpful with local info and exploring nearby ski areas.

The lights around the patio are nice but also invasive in the bedroom. If u replace the missing blind on the east side of the building so the lights don’t shine in it would be very nice👍

Pretty much my home away from home the past few months. It is always nice to have a full kitchen. Great as always.

Excellent location. It was an easy walk to restaurants and town.

Rather than part of the house, the room gave the impression it was not connected to anything. Access was via a laneway. Furnishings were basic and there was no television. I' sure we could have done better for the money.

Wonderful place to stay in Nelson

The property was nice. In a great location for dining and shopping. The kitchen was furnished with the necessities and had complimentary coffee and tea. Loved the deck with the suite. Lots of stairs to our suite so not good if mobility challenged.

Hmm 24 steep stairs were a bit difficult when bringing our luggage and cooler into the suite. But we knew this when booking.

Amazing location. So central to downtown Nelson and a beautiful porch. We loved the charm of the old house with all the amenities for cooking dinner.

What a wonderful guest house stay we had! Booked the upper Falls suite room. There is not one negative thing I can say. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Private entrance. Easy check-in process. Walking distance to Anything you’d like to experience in Nelson. I am absolutely pleased!

Nice place. Great location.

I bit of maintenance was needed. Ceiling fan not working or at least I couldn’t get it to work. Not a huge deal as there was AC. The floor was a little squeaky. The hood fan light was broken.

Location is great, parking is great, and the kindness we were given with our request for an early check in was amazing which is hard to find these days. Will definitely stay here again.
