It’s not really a great property so stay here if you absolutely have to. Also if you are not a motel person you will not like it. Barebones facilities. Possibly ok for overnight stay. Anything beyond, choose a different place

le lit n'était pas du tout confortable, on pouvait sentir chaque ressort. Nous n'avons pas fait fonctionner l'air climatisée parce qu'une odeur forte d'urine s'en dégageait lorsqu'elle fonctionnait. Je déconseille fortement.

They changed out towels, emptied garbage, etc but did not change or make the bed overall a good stay.

L’emplacement parfait pour une nuit. Propreté des lieux quoique les chambres soient vieillottes. Lits confortables. Stationnement devant la porte de la chambre.

Notre chambre n’était pas prête à 16:45, malgré la confirmation de notre arrivée pour 16:00. Une chance que les filles de la réception nous ont offert une autre chambre prête.

The linens were clean and you have the ability to adjust your room temperature. Also, a big win to me, the windows actually open if you like fresh air. The property is also walking distance to a few food options as well as a gas station.

The bathroom is quite small, while very clean. The bath faucet and shower head hose all leaked water while the shower ran.

It was close to the highway

Having to check in at the same counter at the same time as the customers picking up their St. Hubert takeout orders. It was hectic, no instruction and in French only

Cleanliness . The lady working in the front desk very helpful and accommodating.

The room space is very small, hard to navigate in the room. The washroom is even tiny. Wifi not great. The refrigerator in the room not working.

The bathroom had no grab bars, the tub was very slippery with no anti slip strips on the tub floor.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and parking is right outside your door so very convenient. We spent 2 nights and used the restaurant attached to the hotel and the one over the road and both were excellent and value for money.

We had booked 2 nights because we wanted to go whale watching but there are not trips from Riviere-du-Loup even though they are still advertised online. Obviously this is not the fault of the hotel.

Price was a Big determinant, but staff and service were great.

Perfect location by the highway and gas station with a St. Hubert chicken attached! The staff were very friendly. The room was extremely clean and the bathroom appeared to have new floors. The air conditioning was easy to control. The three beds were situated nicely — this room had everything we needed while staying the night on the road trip. There were chairs available to sit outside your little door. The town is also quite lovely. We spent some time at a waterfall close by while.

Nothing to report — everything met expectations. This is going out on a major limb but some picnic tables and a small playground would be an awesome addition in the back.

We had initally booked two rooms because thats what was available, but the motel gave us a suite when they realized we were a family of 5. Everyone got their own bed in ine place instead of having to share in two separate roomz. Appreciated that they took the time to propose an option that accommodated us better

First, I have stayed at the motel Cartier several times. Therefore, my observation is from a past customer view. I had the option on our out east trip to stay at another location on our way down and at the Cartier on our way home. The Hotel which we stayed at on our way out east. When comparing the two location the other hotel won on all fronts. The rooms was updated and modern along with quite a bit more spacious for a $20 increase in price. The Cartier requires updating which would justify a price point increase. Unless the Cartier wanted to stay at price that keeps them at the lower end of the hotel/ motel competition level. I like the price but would be willing to pay a $20 increase if the motel was updated. I also liked that there was a St Hubert adjacent to the Motel which makes our meal choice quite easy and simple.

The room requirements for updating is quite evident.

Horrible motel probably the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Check-in is at the St. Hubert barbecue. So they serve barbecue chicken, takeout orders, and check you in. The young lady who checked us in couldn’t even make a second room key and didn’t know if we were entitled to one. Nothing in the room looks nothing like the photos on the site. The carpets are probably 50 years old. The walls were particleboard or stucco or something. The smell was horrible. The air-conditioning was rattling all night and the toilet would do the same if you flushed it. Sofa bed is not a sofa bed as there is no mattress so it is hard as a rock. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. I believe the photos on the website are a misrepresentation.

La douche ne fonctionnait pas alors j’ai dû prendre un bain, lors de mon départ.la toilette faisait beaucoup de bruit lorsqu’on tirait la chasse d’eau.

Lits confortables, chambre spacieuse, télévision intelligente (Netflix, YouTube) pratique avec un enfant. Bien situés avec un dépanneur dans le même stationnement.

Ventilation très bruyante mais tout de même appréciée. Et on a trouvé 3 poils dans le bain.. ahah..

The bed was very comfortable and I didn't have to go outside to a restaurant.

Two weeks ago for the same amount of money I stayed in a much newer hotel which had an excellent restaurant. I didn't lose my balance getting out of the shower due to the floor not being level. There was no hole in the wall by the door, tiles weren't cracked in the bathroom, the furniture wasn't worn out, the guest maid didn't leave an old, worn out envelope for her tip and the toilet wasn't so low I could only use it standing up. I have stayed in your motel several times before when it didn't seem to be in such need of refurbishment. I will not be back.
