Les horaires du petit-déjeuner : le servir jusqu’à 9h30 est beaucoup trop tôt (10h30 dans la plupart des autres hôtels, parfois 11h). Nous en avons compris la raison : les employés de l’hôtel doivent enchaîner au restaurant qui appartient aux mêmes propriétaires. Ceux-ci, pour économiser sur la masse salariale (et manifestement imposer des horaires extensifs à leurs employés) dégradent le service à leurs clients. Sachant que les prix des chambres en saison sont très loins d’être raisonnables…

Colazione strepitosa, una delle migliori mai fatte, varia e con prodotti genuini e buonissimi. Struttura molto bella e pulita, posizione ottima. La proprietaria è stata gentile e disponibile.

La nostra camera nr 5 era un po' angusta, stretta, anche se la terrazza (in comune con altre camere) aveva una vista stupenda su Stromboli e Panarea. Per il prezzo pagato ci saremmo aspettati un po' più di spazio (probabilmente il prezzo è un problema comune a tutta l'isola e non solo di questa struttura ma si fa comunque fatica a pagare certe cifre per poi avere una camera stretta). Qualche problema con lo staff: alle 8 di mattina siamo stati svegliati da un caos pazzesco perché stavano pulendo la camera accanto (sbattendo ovunque); sono dovuto uscire per chiedere di rimandare o di fare con un minimo di accortezza. Policy sulla colazione: l'orario 8 - 9.30 è a nostro avviso troppo stretto, soprattutto perché alle 9.29 lo staff sbaracca tutto alla velocità della luce, davanti al cliente che sta ancora gustandosi la colazione. Non molto carino e, francamente, ti toglie il bello di un momento rilassante come quello della colazione. Inoltre, una mattina già alle 8.40 (!!!) erano finiti pancakes e bacon: lo staff ha provato a cassare il problema facendo spallucce ("eh sono arrivate tre camere che hanno mangiato tantissimo", cit.) ed abbiamo dovuto puntare i piedi perché venissero portati di nuovo: non dobbiamo scontare noi il fatto che quelli che ci precedono si abbuffino e gli altri restino a bocca asciutta. In una struttura con prezzi di questo livello, devi assicurare e garantire la colazione sino al termine della fascia oraria (dato che sono molto fiscali con gli orari, che lo siano anche su questo almeno). Per fortuna, la proprietaria ha saputo compensare portandoci quanto mancava ma, in generale, il servizio andrebbe davvero migliorato. L'acqua fredda non c'era, era sempre calda sia della doccia sia del lavandino (e in un'estate come questa è stato tremendo).

Un emplacement exceptionnel avec une vue mer magnifique. Le petit déjeuner était excellent avec beaucoup de produits faits maison. Les conseils de notre hôtesse pour organiser notre séjour.

Posizione incantevole, struttura curata in ogni dettaglio; colazione eccellente, con ottima frutta fresca e secca, marmellate, pane e dolci fatti in casa, ottimo miele e molto altro. Giuliana gentilissima ci ha dato le indicazioni giuste per rendere il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile. Consigliatissimo.

The property was really well located in beautiful Malfa, very close to beach and town centre. The team at A’Alera were very helpful with all our questions. We also loved the breakfasts and home baking whilst overlooking Stromboli.

A Alera is the best place to stay on Salina. malfa is the perfect base. Guiliana and the team do a great job from homemade treats at brekky to sparkling clean rooms with Sohel. The location is easy walk to restaurants and the beach, only a short drive to Santa Maria and Pollara for sunsets. We had a large shared terrace with stunning views also to the cliffs and mountains. Can highly recommend a stay here, it's stunning!

Just need to be conscious in your room of passing guests outside, ceiling fans would be great over aircon. Neither detracted from our stay. 4 nights not long enough on this island!!

Csalódás volt a szállás, mert ugyan a képeken láttam, hogy a szoba ablaka nagyon kicsi, de arra számítottam, hogy lesz egy szép nagy teraszunk. De a terasz sajnos nem privát terasz volt, az üveges ajtót zárva kellett tartani, és így az apartman egy kicsi sötét, nyomasztó helység lett.

The host went above and beyond to help make arrangements to accommodate us with ferries, scooter rentals, restaurants, etc.

Beautiful view of the island and the sea with Stomboli and Panarea in the distance. Quiet, relaxing, clean, perfect location. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to the beautiful Scario beach and the quant town of Malfa

The terrace where breakfast is served is situated right beside a bedroom and the private terrace of that room, the lack of privacy can feel a little bit uncomfortable.

The location is perfect, view from hotel is spectacular. We are specially enjoyed to see the sunrise just from the deck of hotel. Also hotel is very close to restaurants, bars and cute shops in the center of the town . Breakfast which served on the terrace was excellent. We spent 4 nights there and wished to stay longer.

The breakfast was good and beautifully served on the terrace over looking the ocean. We were upgraded to a better room which was nice as it turned out only 1 other guest was staying at the property as it was only a few days to the season closing on the island. The views were beautiful with a terrace with deck chairs outside our room. There were delicious home made goodies available all day in the reception/breakfast area

On our last day there ie the day before we left - the whole place was basically dismantled. Goodies removed from the kitchen, chairs, tables and lovely curtains all taken away so the whole place became bleak and unwelcoming. This was done because it was the last day of the season the following day & we were leaving early ie at 5.45 am. It was not good as it completely spoiled our last day in the property. I am not sure why they couldn't have waited until 6.00 am the following day to do it all so we could enjoy everything we had paid for up to that point.

The view from the room - junior room. was breathtaking from the shared terrace ( share with 2 other rooms on the same Level) . Bit far from the little fishing port for a swim or beach( very rocky, so bring beach shoes) Hired a motorbike from rent speedy Jack, he was so helpful Breakfast was great, loads of choice with homemade cakes!

La posizione e la vista davvero spettacolare. Colazione molto ma molto buona. Camera spaziosa (tripla con due letti matrimoniali di cui uno divanoletto). Ottimo prezzo

Parcheggio in strada limitato a quattro posti auto precisi, non comodissimo. Avevamo un passeggino ed è stato faticoso portarlo su e giù dalle scale che collegano la strada alla camera.

It’s a peaceful little hideaway on a very special island!

Our host was amazing, so helpful. Every morning the home baked goods are ready for breakfast, the baked sourdough, the cakes and the best Coffee we’ve had in Italy so far.

Great location between the town and the beach. The staff were lovely and we were very comfortable in our room. There was plenty of space to sit outside but it was a bit hot for that while we were there!

Lovely stay after being in the zoo of Taormina. Quiet and comfortable. Excellent bed with wonderful A/C - slept so well. Delicious breakfast buffet with lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs and granola. Coffee made to order. Vince winery proximity to village and beach. Bring your beach shoes very stony but private and natural!!!

Guiliana went out of her way to be helpful, even offering to drive us to a function as I found walking difficult. She's an absolute treasure. Breakfast was very good.

I couldn't think of a more perfect location. Sipping Aperol spritz on the balcony watching Stromboli puffing away. The accommodation was perfectly located between town and the beach. Our hosts were amazing and breakfast was superb.

We loved our stay in Malfa! Our host was wonderful and super helpful with recommendations.

We were absolutely thrilled with the beautiful room and the graciousness and generosity of our host, Giuliana. From pre-trip planning to on-site assistance (taxi service, recommendations, etc.,) her attention to detail and the care she and her staff showed us was exceptional. The property itself is simply gorgeous and we will not soon forget the incredible opportunity to watch Stromboli's nighttime activity from our window. Breakfast was delicious with the most mouthwatering fruit and baked goods. Our time in Salina and A Alera was the highlight of our trip.

Spectacular setting with panoramic views from every window in the deluxe room upstairs (Room 4). Serene, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast, perfect hosts. Giuliana is so kind and helpful. She even provided breakfast for an early departure, which was much appreciated and delicious!

After confirming the reservation, we received a detailed e-mail from the accommodation. These information were delicate services that no hotel had The accommodation has a terrace with a burst ocean view, so we can see Panarea and Stromboli. Our room is very clean as a suit room, and furniture and bedding are arranged making the most of the space. As soon as we arrived, the owner was served a self baked cake and coffee, and we received meticulous service. With her help, we were able to use a rental car to visit the nearby Pollara. We were also able to enjoy a wealth of breakfast, including homemade bread and fresh juice. I want to rate it as the best accommodation for this trip. Once again, we would like to thank Giuliana, the owner of the accommodation.

Absolutely wonderful. Guilana the hostess was so warm, friendly, and helpful. She greeted me with a cup of coffee and answered all my questions about the Aeolians and was there if i needed anything else. I booked the deluxe room and it was clean, light, airy and incredibly comfortable. The views from the room--and from the terraces--were a dream. Not to mention eating breakfast over looking the Med with Stromboli rising on the horizon. Breakfast consisted of breads, home made jams and pastries, meats, cheeses, etc.I had a wonderful stay and will be coming back. Highly recommended!

Stunning view,beautiful bedroom and great breakfast. Salina is like heaven on earth. We came from Taormina which is over populated and oppressive. Malfa was such a contrast. The restaurants are great in Malfa. I think a Alera has the best views around. The staff were super nice. I loved it all!!!

The property is beautiful, very clean and the room is very modern but with a wonderful traditional touch. We stayed in a room which opened onto the shared terrance which has absolutely stunning views, where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. There is also a lower terrace next to the breakfast area with lots of seating and can be enjoyed by all. The room has many windows and was great to wake up to stunning views in the morning. The room has a mini bar which is restocked daily which was great also. Breakfast was very nice and served on the lower terrance which was a fantastic way to start your day. Location wise, the property is within 5 minutes walk to the Spaiggia cello Scario beach and around 10 to the town centre of Malfa. You can also easily walk to the small port, which is handy is you are doing a day boat trip to the other other islands as some of the tour companies do stop her. Overall I would highly recommend.
