The Gallery At Koh Chang

Hygiene en elke dag schone handdoeken

zwembad was goed maar geen ligbedden

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Das Personal super zuvorkommend.

Kein Frühstück verfügbar, Restaurant seit Monaten geschlossen. Aufzug ausser Betrieb.

Warm water douche was erg matig. En de wifi deed het niet.

Ik heb hier geen gebruik van gemaakt.

Geen klachten.

Very clean great help from the staff

Very helpful staff, been a bit of a mix up with my booking but the staff soon got it sorted.

Clean and in a great location

Nice size room.

Not the first time I have stayed at the Gallery, the last time was before ''Covid''. It is very noticeable the difference in the standards between then and now. It use to be spotless with helpful staff. Unfortunately this isn't the case now.

Amazing people who clean the room

Everything fine

Rats in the ceiling were very annoying

It’s location to shops restaurants and the beach.

It needs a good bit of maintenance in all areas.

the beds were very comfy and it is a good location, we did stay during songkran so we got soaked as soon as we left but it is close to everything

it is very dated and needs some renovation, below the pool area has a lot of maintenance around and could’ve dangerous for children. the breakfast wasn’t a buffet and was very limited.

We stayed one night and this hotel suits well for this purpose. It is clean and they even have a small pool. The staff is nice and ready to help. There is a strange smell in the rooms, but again for one night it's OK.

We stayed one night in this hotel upon arrival to the island. When we checked in to the room there was no toilet paper and the toilet also had a mechanical disfunction so that was our first impression. Breakfast pretty much basic. After this first night in Koh Chang we moved and things soon improved a lot.

We have just returned from a lovely week in Koh Chang. The Gallery@Koh Chang was a lovely clean hotel. The staff were all so lovely, and special thanks to Pafhan the general manager who organised some flowers for our room on arrival as it was our honeymoon. Hotel very convenient for a 5 min walk to the beach, breakfast was very very nice, hotel very clean. Thank you for a lovely stay, would definitely return.

everything is poorer than expected, from toiletry (not even a toothbrush) to the furniture (pretty outdated). Breakfast so so and limited in choice. All rooms faces the main road of the island, which means noise.

there are better places for the money for sure hotel itself isn't terrible but everything is mediocre at best they gave me their best price for a week then I got it £100 cheaper on hotel.com the breakfast is terrible yesterday's leftovers with some. very cold fried eggs cold sausage and ham with some fruit juice from what looks like a box. all in all better value elsewhere koh Chang looks empty with what looks like failing businesses to many locals chasing to few tourists

Nice rooms, clean and modern with small balcony for smoking. Get have a cool roof terrace you can see lit up with multicolour lights from afar. Located at the bottom of Klong Prao village, about halfway between White Sands and Lonley beach. Could be a cool spot for pre drinks in a stylish setting before parting the night away at lonely beach. They have a rooftop pool.

The general design of this relatively new hotel is modern and the location is quite good, though not on the beach. HOWEVER, there is much to criticize. The worst thing for us was that there is a musty, mold-like smell in several of the rooms (we tried 3 rooms on 2 floors). I think this may come from the air conditioning units, since there is less smell when they are not operating (but you need A/C in Ko Chang’s weather). Also, there is insufficient and poorly designed lighting in the rooms. Note that the option of using the Cove’s pool and facilities is no longer available for Gallery guests, though they provide a shuttle service to a public beach. It should be noted that the staff work hard to please guests, but management should be doing a better job in organizing their work and training them. In spite of these shortcomings, we still had a good 1-week stay at The Gallery.

Manchmal lärmig in der Nacht, konnte trotzdem gut schlafen.

Hotel was clean, functional and in a great location for our diving needs. The main town is only 10-15mins up the road on the baht bus (50baht). My room was on the 1st floor next to the road and it can get quite noisy, but I sleep with earplugs so no difference to me. Few tiny niggles, but overall a comfy bed and no issues brining back a guest. I'll no doubt stay here again. (There's a great little street cafe next door for cheap but excellent food, laundry etc...)

We stayed at the Gallery, paying £56 for one night. Certainly the Hotels.com pictures made it APPEAR to be slightly superior and probably better value for money than other hotels, particularly the K.B. Resort where we had stayed the previous night. How wrong we were! Unusually, rather than write a long review, I'm simply going to publish ten pictures. I'm not simply trying to highlights the poor here, as the first two pictures show the best possible shot one can take of the rooms (a difficult task). However, maintenance is a serious issue at the hotel. Shower trays are badly sealed and dirty, ceilings and walls are stained with from water leaks, cupboard doors are falling off, hallways are strewn with dirty linen and trash until very late in the day and frankly, the 'jewel in their crown' - the "Only Skybar in Koh Chang" is NOT the kind of place anyone would choose to be. Staff were disorganized - we actually had to check in a second time after the first check-in was 'lost' and keys couldn't be supplied. (They found it again later). I think the general state of the hotel speaks volumes about the attitude of the cleaning staff, the maintenance staff and the management who oversee them. Or don't, rather.

Ok, but breakfast should be better

We stayed at The Gallery Hotel for a week in December 2017. The hotel is in a good location although we found it was not sign posted clearly. The room we had was on the 3rd foor and was very spacious . A special mention to the young lady who cleaned our room every day. She always did a brilliant job and was very friendly. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly. The managress and front of house staff were very helpful. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and always remembered our breakfast requirements , e.g. made sure my husband had his money and I was given an extra tea bag as I like a very strong cup of tea. The hotel had a shuttle service to the beach and also to the Klong plu waterfalls. There was a tiny gym on the ground floor which could do with a refurb but it was sufficient for our needs. The beach on Klong Prao was within walking distance .. which we discovered on the 3rd day. If there was one criticism it was that the shower in the bathroom did not work properly - the water was either too hot or too cold. We mentioned this to the reception staff but because of a lack of English and our lack of Thai they did not understand or rectify the problem. Although the Gallery markets it'self as a 4 star hotel , it is really only a three star hotel. The best thing about the hotel was it's location and the very friendly staff.

We stayed 6 nights at The Gallery and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the beach or offers a free shuttle to go. The beach is nice, relatively quite with multiple restaurants options at night. They have a swimming pool and fitness room. But we didn't use them as they have a partnership with the Emerald Cove (5 stars) hotel and we could use their facilities. The pool was just amazing and we could also use their sunbeds and beach. The rooms are cleaned everyday and well arranged with a huge and comfortable bed. There was a kettle and a minibar. Free bottles of water were offered every day. We didn't really used the balcony as there are no chairs and the wooden cladding blocks the view. The rooftop bar was not open yet, and that was probably a chance as might be quite noisy in the rooms when disco opens there. They have an onsite restaurant (Japanese/Asian) that we didn't try. Breakfast was also good even if quite boring after 6 days. The staff was also very friendly and professionnal. The only negative points were the wifi that didn't work very well in our rooms and other guests that make noise, but that's not the hotel's fault. I would recommend The Gallery Hotel without hesitation for a stay at Ko Chang.

Interesting 90s decor! But hey, you're on Koh Chang so doesn't matter. This hotel is in a very good location at one end of the main road with restaurants etc at the Hat Khlong Phrao stretch of beach. It's a ten minute walk to the beach itself and several others nearby.

Helpful staff great private beach at the another hotel it connected to I'll be staying there next year

We've just left the gallery at Koh Chang after 15 nights and our stay couldn't have been better .the staff were all very courteous and polite and couldn't have done more for us.The rooms were spotless clean, and the bed was very comfortable and massive.the breakfast was fine, the pool was quiet with comfortable sun beds, and only a short walk from a beautiful beach. A shuttle bus was available to take you to their sister hotel the Emerald Cove ,where you could use all their facilities, but that would have spoiled a beautiful stroll. We would definitely return here we would give the hotel and its staff 10 out of 10.

After a very bad experience with a previews hotel ... I have to say that come here have been a real pleasure : the staff is lovely always smiling and polite ! The room with mountain view is really quite ... Everything is clean and the breakfast is ok ! Thank you to all of you for your kindness !

Great service, staff were very friendly and accommodating, nice and clean room, serviced everyday. Location was not great but we had a scooter which allowed us to travel to where we needed to go. The bar across the street had a band playing every night, quite loud and singers were not in tune. A bit annoying when we chose to stay in for the night. Overall a nice hotel with great service. Just not the greatest location.

I expected less than i recieved which is allways nice, i had a loose tap in my room it was fixed within a half hour . the maids made a excellent job of cleaning and replenishing water toiletries and even dusted the fixed balcony louvers . The room was clean with a wide choice of channels on the T.V. And the bed was comfortable , a reason i left the Bhuvarin that day. The shower was warm not hot and as stated else where a little lacking in power but better than the Bhuvarin which was awful and cost more. So all in all i an happy with the gallery the break fast is bad best get there early to have warm eggs n hot dogs and after 8 no croissants will be left ,the staff in the breakfat area where also very happy and helpfull. The gallery is on the main road and has avery noisy live music bar just across the road . In your room the bass without the high notes is torture ..so dont come back to early and all will be fine. the design of the glass around the lift areas is a bad idea as people in and out of lifts see right to you bed in room near the lift despite the slats on the out side of the building..

Great hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful pool area and the sky lounge has a really nice relaxing atmosphere to unwind at the end of your day. Close to the airport, elephant tours and other tourist attractions. Will be coming back again

Stayed for three nights. Upon arrival we had to change pillows since they smelled terrible. Additionally, one of the lights didn't work in the room (a problem that hasn't been solved during our stay). The owners had the splendid idea to install a bar in the same corridor as some rooms. So, be aware for some loud music until 1pm. Breakfast is there, but no great deal. In general: friendly helpfull staff, but the hotel isn't worth it's price.

Was met with excellent service from reception, very friendly and service orientated - sweet, young but efficient staff. Standard of common areas inside and outside was excellent, rooms were spacious and brand new with balconies and interesting views, swimming pool very nice and outside restaurant very nice, too - with very kind and charming staff (they even found music exactly to fit out desires - local music from Kazakhstan as we had Kazakhs with us :) :) Ok parking and main street just outside but guard for car park and fairly quiet. Excellent position for travelling both North and South on the island (daytrips - or just for an hour or so with all those good and cheap 125 cc scooters for rent close by).

I did read some of the review here at trip adviser before give it a try. And my experience i will had to said that it pretty decent by compare the price and type of room that i got (and i seen worst one) Room was clean, Breakfast was ok (not that great but it acceptable) compare to a lot of hotel that i had been visit through the year. I did had a good staff response even though some of them can't really speak perfect English, i did see that they really want to help. Japanese restaurant (the cube) food was on par, it really surprise me that the owner decide to have a japanese food here. Cause it really difficult to find a good chef out here. May be because these hotel just open over a year. I will said the food here is not bad, but it could be better. Just give them time. I will be back again soon to see an improvement. So far, i think these hotel is a good small hotel that got a little bit of everything and i like it here 😊😊😊 If they had to improve on anything that gonna be an Internet connection is really weak. it's only comment that i strongly recommend to improve

Very bad hotel. We read the positive reviews on tripadvisor and had good expectations for our stay. None of our expectations were fullfilled. Smelly rooms, like a sewer. Poor breakfast, very few choices. Staff don't speak english at all, not even basic english. So very hard and time consuming way of letting know our complaints. Very annoying. Slowest wifi we had during our holiday. (Even in cheap hostels it is much better). There is no view from balcony because of wooden bars blocking the view. For a 4 star hotel the rooms are very simple/cheap decorated and not worth the stars (and money). At this moment we are still in the hotel but are seriously thinking of going to an other hotel and accept the fact that we already paid the full amount. Our advise, ignore the positive reviews and choose something else. It will save you a lot of frustrations.

We come to this restaurant because its the only japanese we found in the island , we order, sashimi, sushi , maki , the plates where Just terrible , never seen mayo in japanese food , the cut of the fish was not well done and it was really difficult to eat , it was complétely different from the pictures from the menú , they didnt have avocado so they put onion , the prize was very expensive , and really poor service , would not even recommend this place to my enemies, is not japanese food , is some crap this people created .

I went to have dinner with friend at Japanese restaurant because of friend needed to try. Even there's only one table & only 2 persons but we had to wait foods so long time(buffet style but served by ordered) NOT recommended!!!

Brand new hotel. Good breakfast and pricey but nice bar on roof. Maids broke a bottle of whiskey in my room and it was promptly replaced with a new bottle. I would definitely stay again!

A new hotel, situated in a good place for getting to the local bars & restaurants. The staff speak very good English but they are all fairly young, so when I complained about noisy guests in the room above (feet banging on the floor from about 6o'clock every morning) they didn't do anything about it. So I had to make my feelings known directly to the guests which then caused friction. The breakfast was always cold. The tea was like water and undrinkable. I eventually complained and was able to get a teabag for my tea and ordered scrambled eggs which did come down hot. The bread was left out and uncovered so was often rock hard. The good thing is that the hotel has a bar on the top floor & plays music from about 9o'clock every evening so you can sit and chill. It also has a sister hotel that you can use the beach and swimming pools there (only 10 minute walk).

It was great

I will stay there again next time!! Better than Hyatt hotel. Nice restaurant. Swimming pool. Rooftop bar. Autobike rent opposite side. Kind staff. Clean.

Top modern hotel, best building materials used, cool design, but completed by surprisingly low-skulled workers. Best, full breakfast, top cleanliness, great outside swimming pool and bar area, very friendly and helpfull staff doing their absolute best.

It is clean and comfort to stay. The cost in staying in Kohchang island is relatively expensive.

The hotel is a building site on the roof, drill hammer from 7 in the morning til 10 in the night. No letter from the staff, no excuse, of the trouble on the rouf = no respekt for the geust, and because og christmas they where charching 90 % for the last 4 dayes. That somhow does not fit reality.

It's a very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I'd really recommend this hotel for families.

Good value for money as you can use Emerald coves facilities and beach for free, mini van pick up service etc. The Gallery also has a very cheap Japanese buffet if your into sushi and all that.

Staff very friendly and hotel modern and clean. Beach is some distant away but free shuttle bus to sister hotel in the day time.

I stayed at The Gallery for 4 nights. I originally booked for 3, but enjoyed the island so much that I extended my stay. The Gallery is a brand new hotel so the facilities are sparkling. The staff are all very kind and accommodating. They helped me plan some day trips snorkeling and trekking. The pool area is very nice, although underused. They've even got a happy hour deal! Because The Gallery doesn't have direct access to a beach, they run a free shuttle (although you could easily walk) to their sister hotel Emerald Cove. Fabulous!!

Newly built hotel with comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff and really nice pool. The area is not much to see, but it's only a few minutes walk (or a short ride with complimentary minibus) from the beach at the sister hotel. Would stay again.

Lovely brand new hotel. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Nicw quiet chilled pool which serves nice cocktails. Only downside was had to walk a little distance to the beach although there is a shuttle bus to take you to the sister hotel to Emerald Cove very nice beach. Also balcony was to small and bars blocked the views. Would recommend this hotel as the pros out weighed the cons. Also beds very comfortable :)

this hotel is brand new hotel in 2015. small hotel which is not good for Resort area but their maintenance, room cleaning and facility are really great.. with about $20, you can enjoy new hotel facility and breakfast but when I was here the elevator was out of order so I have to move my huge carrier by myself if they ask me first to carry the luggage before I check out it would be much much better and if you stay this hotel you can use emerald Cove hotel swimming pool and beach for free the Emerald Cove hotel is fantastic, I spent all day at Emerald Cove

WONDERFUL just wonderful Great staff great location Brilliant value for money should be 4 star
