Town & Country Motel

From a general point of view, basic, but excellent for a pet friendly motel in it's class. Clean, excellent water pressure, individually controlled AC/heat, mini fridge, coffee machine, easy parking, basic, but adequate breakfast in lobby (we always bring our own coffee and food, but it was still a nice touch). Convenient, ground level entrance and parking off of unit, room darkening drapes and opening back windows overlooking a bit of greenspace below made for a peaceful, safe feeling nights sleep to cricket song.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Town & Country Motel. The room was clean and spacious, and had a comfortable king-size bed. A good continental breakfast was included, and coffee and cookies were available throughout the day in the office. The staff were extremely pleasant. We can recommend this motel and will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

L'emplacement, tout près d'un restaurant qui ouvrait tôt, car le déjeûner sur place , on n'en parle pas . Situé dans le tout petit lobby , un distributeur à céréales, une cafetière , et fallait retourner à notre chambre pour manger. C'est écrit déjeûner inclus , mais en réalité , on oubli ça !

Pas de gel douche aucuns, seulement une petite barre de savon à main ! Ouf c'est vraiment déplorable pour le prix payé. Aussi drain du lavabo bloqué .

Comfortable and clean

Very simple, not a big selection for breakfast.

I spent one night at this conveniently located, well maintained motel a short distance to downtown Parry Sound. My room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, mini fridge, microwave, wall mounted TV and plenty of storage space. There is ample parking available and I was able to park right in front of my room. Motel staff were courteous and professional. It was quiet overnight so I had a good night’s sleep. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Parry Sound.

Was not available until at least 8am. Anyway all on offer was one cereal, toast and banana. Very disappointing considering we paid for a breakfast.

No hairdryer. Bathroom very old. Location across from a building site which created lots and lots of dust! Also not in a dream part of town, very depressed area.

The property was close to downtown.

The room is dirty. The floor seem never clean. It said breakfast included, but no info for that. Not recommended.

The breakfast consisted of a jar of cereal kept on a crowded shelf in the office. Who knows how long the cereal had been there. The place was not tidy.

Everything. The place was a dump. Piles of garbage at the end of the parking lot. Rundown appearance. Dead gardens. No resemblance to pictures on line.

No place to sit for breakfast, had to take a tray back to the room. Not a big issue, as most motels don't have a breakfast selection at all. Saved us time going to a cafe. The room was clean and comfortable.

Poor WIFI. Had to sit by the window to get any usable signal. By today's standards, not really acceptable anymore.

Old run down. A stretch for sure.

For an inexpensive motel, I was surprised by how clean the room and the grounds are. The fellow in the office was friendly and helpful. There was almost no traffic on the road outside so it was very quiet.

Difficult to understand person at check in. English limited. Had to speak on pho e with her son to understand. Room was clean, basic furnishings, only a hardback chair to sit on in room. Good bed. Grassed area for pup to do her business. Can walk dog on city sidewalk. At door parking. Did not partake of breakfast. Economical choice for an overnight stay while passing through tge area.

Sheets were stained and did not fit the bed properly - went and asked if they could be changed and the gentleman did so happily, however new sheets were just as stained. The area was not at all what I was expecting (my fault for not investigating more). Chair cushion was stained, coffee maker dirty. I did not stay for breakfast - but was not made aware of times for this - and to be honest the ‘breakfast area’ was a shelf in the main check area which was also old, dingy, extremely cramped and dirty. Very disappointed considering the price - next time would drive slightly further and stays at any of the many other gorgeous towns with cheaper but nicer accommodation. Cannot recommend - in my three week touring round Ontario this was the worst accommodation…and considering I camped at a couple of provincial parks - that’s saying something!

Fine for one night

very poorly maintained motel. Horrible beds, crappy continental breakfast. I could say a lot of other things about it but I'll keep those thoughts to myself.

Wifi didn’t work and neither did tv… good place just to stop sleep and shower. Close to lots of parks, shopping and eating but also too close to train track which blares horns far too late at night.

Look that they investing to make it better

Location was the only thing I liked.

Dated furniture, Wifi didn't work well, shoes scattered in front of office door, cigarette buckets in front of almost every room, breakfast was the most troubling - no individual containers for butter, jam and peanut butter. They put open jars on the counter and "help yourself". Bananas were bruised. Butter did not look fresh with lot of knife marks from previous guests or family.

The room appeared clean but was not. The room smelled musty. The toilet seat was broken, and the towels were very cheap and thin. I will not be returning, especially when I paid over $200/night to stay there!

Parking

I had to cancel our reservation due to a medical emergency on the morning of check-in. I called the motel and received no compassion. I had to pay full price. This cancellation was on a holiday weekend with lots of time to rent this room.

The room was clean but very dated.

Very basic motel, panelled walls painted, rustic furniture. One lounge chair was dirty and torn. Shoes scattered outside the office door. Breakfast - no individual containers for butter, jam, peanut butter - one jar of peanut butter and jam left out and butter was in a dish that looked like it has been worked away at for weeks.

The room was very clean.

Beds were so hard and uncomfortable we couldn't get a decent sleep. The pillows were also hard.

Hardest bed ever. TV didn't work, WIFI didn't work. Didn't feel secure (no additional locking mechanism inside the door). Parts of the room were not clean.

Great place

The location is perfect. Within minutes you have Tim Hortons, gas station, convenience store, the beach and lots of restaurants to choose from. Any concerns we had, they were all addressed right away without any problems. The owner is very understanding and extremely catering. He was so patient with our unexpected late arrival. Workers are so polite. The price you can’t complain. It’s really a decent price you’re paying for all that you are getting. Parking is available in front your room door. They have a patio that’s available to the guest along with being able to BBQ. Everything was in working order in our room.

I would just suggest checking the water temperature for the shower. The water kept going hot to cold.

Really needs some cleaning

Location was ok, near restaurants and gas stations and close to highway !

The breakfast looked so bad we didn’t even try it, beds were uncomfortable and the room itself was dated and in dire need of refurbishing. Tv was hard to get working . Tub didn’t have non slip so couldn’t shower . All in all it was so overpriced for what there was $227 for 1 room with 3 adults and a dog .

It is a run down area and motel but the rooms are clean and the staff kind.

The bed comfort quilt is very bad, the room is not clean and is not well maintain

Very dirty hotel.Needs lots of updates and deep cleaning.Very loud all night .People were talking very loud or arguing 5 metre from our room door almost to the morning time.The Air condition was working but was making lots of noise.

My overall stay was enjoyable; however, the breakfast did not meet my expectations.

This was a very basic stay. The beds were pretty uncomfortable, but other than that it was fine. Nothing special, not overly clean, but I wouldn’t call it dirty either. Older property.

My expectations were not high but this place was in need of some care. Quite tired, run down. Minimal comfort in furniture- bed was ok. Towels seemed very old.

I was very uncomfortable. I saw bugs. People were coming and going all night. I ended up sleeping in my car because I was afraid my car would get broken into

Good value for the money, nonetheless it could be improved overall. Floors, windows, nets and shades have not been cleaned properly in months.

One of the only issues was with the continental breakfast. I wish it opened earlier. It is supposed to start at 8 am but it should say 8ish. Other than that it is clesn, acceptable motel.

It was a pleasant stay but a bit pricey for a basic room.

It was clean and good for a overnight but I don’t think it was necessary to charge for a pet and the mattresses need to be changed as there was big dips in the mattress not comfortable

Outdated duty building. The breakfast is in an old smelly dark office and it consist of Expired cookies, cold coffee and non refrigerated yogurt.
