Kleines Hotel, Lage direkt am Strand (steinig), direkter Zugang zum Meer, äußerst freundliches + aufmerksames Personal. Sehr engagierte Hotelchefin, die sich täglich um das Wohl der Gäste sorgt. Etliche Restaurants am Meer fußläufig in der Nähe. Altstadt + Hafen von Rethymno 20...25 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

Frühstücksbuffet "überschaubar", zwar mit leckeren Salaten und Eiern, aber Wurst, Käse, Marmelade sehr einfach.

The room was decent but the bathroom was very small, the shower was half open, it was impossible not to wet the floor. The sink was extremely small. It is probably a good option for 1-2 nights max.

Small rooms, not enough space to store anything. Lots of stairs for you to carry your luggage. Parking is a bit difficult, not easy to stop in front of the hotel. It is just on a busy street.

Der late check-in war sehr gut. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt und ich würde bei einem erneuten Besuch auf Kreta schauen, ob ich hier ein Zimmer bekomme. Alle waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lecker und frisch und die nähe zum Meer, unschlagbar.

The hotel is located at the first line with direct access to the sea (+great surrounding area with swimming pool). Wide shallow sea part for the kids. Room facilities (kettle and coffee/tea) are included. Top service - Eva, general manager, and the team are doing a great job altogether (starting from welcoming and informative messages before the arrival till cleaning services and support during the stay). They create a magical cosy and relaxing atmosphere and maintain the facilities in good condition. Amazing sea view, free parking nearby, free shuttle bus to Rethymno City Center. Home made breakfast is excellent.

WiFi may be weak sometimes (but it may relate to my devices as the mobile network wasn't stable either). The bathroom is relatively small, the building is not new but well maintained.

De verwelkoming door de manager was heel vriendelijk! Het ontbijt was uitstekend, heel uitgebreid met verse producten. De kamer was ruim, iets verouderd maar dat was geen probleem. Het zicht was fantastisch, direct aan zee. Ook de ligging is top, vlakbij het centrum. We gingen altijd te voet, 15 a 20 minuten.

Niets. Misschien de trappen voor mensen die wat moeilijker te been zijn.

Hotel pequeño y familiar, de instalaciones básicas y algo antiguas, aunque el personal fue muy agradable y atento. El desayuno estaba bueno y, además, se podía disfrutar de unas bonitas vistas mientras desayunabas. También tiene la ventaja de contar con acceso a la playa desde el propio hotel. La ubicación es buena, ya que está relativamente cerca de Rethymno y permite llegar fácilmente a la ciudad sin estar en pleno centro. En general, lo recomendaría especialmente para una estancia corta o como alojamiento de paso. Es una opción sencilla y agradable si buscas un alojamiento sin grandes lujos, cerca de Rethymno y con acceso a la playa.

Lo único que encontramos realmente negativo fue el baño, que era muy pequeño, especialmente la ducha y el lavabo, y resultaba un poco incómodo.

Lovely homemade breakfast, beautiful sea views with sun loungers along the section of the beach, nice shaded pool area, also with a separate small pool area in the sun. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very quiet at night. There are lots of restaurants nearby along the coast for dinner.

Pas de parking privatif mais heureusement un grand parking public gratuit à 500 mètres et un service public de navette gratuite pour se rendre au centre-ville de Réthymnon, sinon 40 minutes à pied...

La posizione e la struttura, gentilissima Eva e la sua collaboratrice.

Camera leggermente piccola per due persone e anche il bagno. Un po' dì manutenzione da fare ma nel complesso molto bene.

Wir sind erst um Mitternacht im Filoxenia beach hotel angekommen,herrlich unproblematisches Einchecken.... als wir in unser Zimmer kamen,welches alles bietet was man braucht,sehr gutes Bett und alles äußerst sauber, bin ich auf den Balkon und ein Glücksgefühl wie auch Freiheitsgefühl hat sich bei mir vom Kopf bis in die Zehenspitzen verbreitet......die ganze Nacht habe ich mit dem Rauschen der Wellen ein und ausgeatmet..... Herrlich ausgeschlafen durften wir dann direkt beim Meer ein vorzügliches Frühstück, sogar mit selbst gebackenen Kuchen, frischem Obst wie auch Schinken und Käse,sogar ein phantastisches Omelette wurde uns von der so hilfsbereiten und lieben Charo an den Tisch gebracht,auch dafür nochmal vielen Dank...... Wir haben nur einen Fehler gemacht,nämlich jenen,dass wir im vorhinein nur 2 Nächte dort gebucht haben, da wir uns erstmals im Westen ein Haus gemietet haben,doch....und das hätten wir nicht gemacht,wenn wir uns nicht soooooo wohlgefühlt hätten...wir verlassen das Haus im Westen nun 2 Tage früher als gebucht und werden noch 2 Tage,die letzten unseres heurigen Urlaubs, in "unserem" Hotel Filoxenia in vollen Zügen genießen Maria und "Co"🫠........ Großes Kompliment an die zauberhafte Eva, Chefin des Hotels......sie führt das Haus mit Leib und SEELE...und genau DAS spürt man während des ganzen Aufenthaltes❣️WIR FREUEN UNS,bis bald Michaela und Andreas

I really appreciated that the hotel is located on the quieter side of the city, away from the usual tourist crowds and noise. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had everything needed for a pleasant stay: a refrigerator, air conditioning, a kettle, cups, coffee and tea, fresh bed linen, towels, and a balcony with a drying rack, table, and chairs. Although the hotel is situated on the main road, there was almost no traffic noise. Instead, we could enjoy the soothing sound of the sea, complete peace and quiet, and a beautiful sea view. The beach is literally just a few steps from the hotel's terrace. The breakfast was delicious and of excellent quality. There was a great selection of vegetables, fruit, hot and cold dishes. For such a small hotel, the variety and abundance of food pleasantly exceeded our expectations. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help.

The shower enclosure could use some updating, and the bathroom is quite small. Howerer, neither of these things affected our stay, and we didnt mind them at all.

Pas de parking. Il faut se garer à 400m dans un parking public gratuit qui fait peur. Piscine sale et à l’ombre. Plage très très sale, remplie de plastique !! 2 tables seulement à l’ombre pour le petit déjeuner. Baignoire d’un autre temps. Minuscule avec une marche pour s’asseoir. Je fais 1,78m et ma tête touche le plafond.

Nur wer gerne in einem Pool ist wo es keine Sonne gibt ist es da ideal.Gibt hier keine Sonne da es unter dem Hotel und direkt neben der Straße ist. Direkt neben der Hauptstraße. Pool ziemlich alt Salzwasser. Dusche am Strand Salzwasser. Das Meer ist schmutzig .. Das Hotel ist einfach komplett in die Jahre gekommen. Parkplatz ca.300 m öffentlich. Sind immer mit dem Auto nach Rethymo am Abend zum Essen. Waren nur zur durchreise 2 Tage zum Glück in diesem Hotel. Da der Pool und Meer nicht unseren Vorstellungen entspricht.

What a wonderful 4 nights we had at Filoxenia Beach. Maria and the staff are amazing and so helpful. They even carried our suitcases up to our room while we were parking the car. Breakfast was a very good spread every morning and was varied every day. We thoroughly enjoyed eating out on the terrace overlooking the beach and waves rolling in. The only room available when we booked was 203, which is the small room on the second floor. I was a bit apprehensive due to comments from other people who stayed in this room, but it was really pretty and we managed perfectly. It has the largest balcony (with a great view of the fortress) and we left the door to the balcony open at night so that we could hear the waves. The room had aircon if you needed and you could hardly hear the traffic from the road if the window was closed. A bit of a walk to the parking (5 mins) but it is definitely manageable, just watch the pavements! The beach is pebbly, so bring rubber shoes with, otherwise the hotel have a few pairs that you can borrow. Shower is a bit small, but then we were on holiday and managed. Rooms cleaned and refreshed every day except Sundays. We had a lovely time there and would definitely return again.

Lovely clean hotel. Wonderful staff! Very helpful Great view over the sea. A little bit of a walk into town but doable. Breakfast every morning was lovely and great to have a bar on the few days that we did stay nearby.

Nothing really . It was a good experience. Probably a bit too far out of town but we did know this in advance. Our bad! The shower was a really tight squeeze jammed in behind the door and a struggle for a tall man!

Eva, our host was a delight. She was friendly, helpful, and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with fresh food every morning. The location on the beach with a pool for back up & sun lounge’s & umbrellas made for a great stay. So much quieter than the eastern side of old town. Easy 15min walk to bus station & fortress/old town. Plenty of good restaurants close by & a supermarket 3mins walk away. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in all trip. Good on you Eva for making guests feel like they are at home!

Absolutely nothing!

Prior to arrival Eva was great with communication to arrange taxis to the hotel and back to the airport. Our flight was delayed and there were no complaints from the waiting driver. Arriving very late our room key was left waiting for us. From the off during check-in on our first morning, Eva was so welcoming. This place is filled with the soul of someone that owns a hotel and loves being there, to offer guests a warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and appreciative welcome each time you pass by her desk, in the entrance to the dining area. The breakfast buffet (08:00-11:00) that we met each morning was just fantastic. Endless coffee (Greek/espresso), tea's, juice, toast, fresh bread buns, continental fare with a greek twist, omelettes, savoury pastries, including of course, greek salad. Also Greek yoghurt and dried fruits, plus freshly baked cakes every day. One morning I just happened to mention that the omelette had ham in it (I'm vegetarian) and immediately eggs were out and a fresh set was made to order. It set us up for the whole day, let alone morning. The sun terrace was lovely for breakfast, overlooking the beach and the few sun loungers were always enough for the staying guests. This is a small 10 room hotel that never seems crowded. The beach is lovely and although there are pebbles just as you enter the water, these quickly clear to a sandy base. Unlike Rethymnon beach that has literally thousands of sunbeds, this beach is quiet and was never busy. I don't remember seeing more than 10 people in the water at.amy one time. A lifeguard is on duty around 50m down the beach and is always on the lookout for anyone staying too far into the water, when the red flag is flying (windy days with choppy waves). The hotel is located around 20 minutes walk into Rethymnon and although taxis are readily available for 7€, the walk along the road is pleasant and we walked in every day.

This isn't a criticism, it's a review of the environment. The hotel has no lifts to the rooms (not a problem for us). The shower was located in a bathtub which had a high side to step in (again. Not a problem for us, but wouldn't have been ok for someone with mobility problems)

Ruime kamer met balkon direct aan het kiezelstrand met ligbedjes. Ruime eetgelegenheden nabij. Voortreffelijk zelfgemaakt ontbijt. Aardige hostess.

Дуже далеко від міста. Камянистий пляж-без спеціального взуття робити нема чого. Басейн завжди в тіні-вода холодна. Продуктовий магазин далеко, без машини здобути продукти важко. На другому поверсі душно.

Right on the beach. Lovely lovely breakfast. All homemade. Delicious cakes and pies and homemade bread. It’s a family run little hotel. Not too fancy, right on the beach. Friendly friendly staff and owners. Perfect base for exploring Crete, lots of helpful tips on where to eat and visit.

L'emplacement sur la plage On avait une chambre avec Mezzanine, à notre âge un peu hard pour y monter et descendre + la baignoire difficile d'accès et glissante. Sans que l'on ait rien demandé le lendemain on nous a proposé très gentiment une autre chambre de plein pied . Notre séjour est redevenu excellent .

Parking gratuit à 300m direction centre ville sur la droite. Chambre correcte avec vue sur la Mer. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié.

Tykkäsin hotellin sijainnista upeilla merinäköala maisemilla. Perjaatteessa kävely matkan päässä Rethymnon vanhastakaupungista, toki itse valitsimme taksilla liikkumisen, koska matkassa mukana lapsi. Henkilökunta oli oikein ystävällistä ja auttavaista. Hotellin pitäjä kertoi useamman hyvän paikan missä vierailla ja ohjeita läheisistä rannoista lapsi huomioiden.

Ainoa miinus huoneen sänkyjen kovuudesta ja koosta. En tosin tarkasti muista, millä spekseillä huone oli varattavissa sänkyjen suhteen.

Ich habe mich im Filoxenia Beach Hotel vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag wohlgefühlt. Besonders bedanken möchte ich mich bei Eva. Sie hat mich jeden Morgen freundlich begrüßt, hatte immer einen Tipp parat und war bei Fragen sofort zur Stelle. Als sie mich zum Abschied sogar umarmt hat, musste ich lächeln. Man merkt einfach, dass hier Menschen arbeiten, die ihren Gästen wirklich das Gefühl geben, willkommen zu sein. Das Frühstück war für mich ein echtes Highlight. Viele der warmen Speisen und die verschiedenen Kuchen waren hausgemacht und sehr lecker. Die Brötchen waren jeden Morgen frisch. Wer ein riesiges Buffet mit zwanzig Sorten Wurst und Käse erwartet, wird vielleicht etwas anderes suchen. Wer Wert auf frische und mit Liebe zubereitete Speisen legt, ist hier genau richtig. Mein Zimmer war sauber und das Bett unglaublich bequem. Geschlafen habe ich hervorragend. Die Lage direkt am Meer ist wunderschön. Der Strand ist allerdings recht steinig, deshalb würde ich Badeschuhe empfehlen. Mir haben sie jedenfalls gute Dienste geleistet. Ein kleiner Hinweis für zukünftige Gäste: Die Altstadt von Rethymno ist deutlich weiter entfernt als die oft genannten fünf Minuten. Zu Fuß sollte man eher 35 bis 40 Minuten einplanen. Für mich war das kein Problem, man sollte es nur vorher wissen. Ja, die Straße vor dem Hotel ist hörbar. Öffnet man die Balkontür, hört man aber oft genauso das Meer rauschen. Und ganz ehrlich: Das Meer gewinnt. 😊 Vielen Dank an Eva und das gesamte Team für die schöne Zeit.

Tolle Lage am Strand, sehr niedliches Hotel, besonders ruhig und entspannt.

Die Zimmer sind sauber, mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht (Kühlschrank, Klima, WLAN) und werden täglich gereinigt. Das Personal ist super freundlich und die Lage perfekt. Vom Balkon aus hat man einen direkten Blick auf das Meer, welchen man auch beim sehr leckeren Frühstück genießen kann. Zudem gibt es kostenfreie Strandtücher und einen hoteleigenen Strandabschnitt (Stein/Sand) mit Liegen. Eigentlich waren wir nur auf der Durchreise, aber es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir noch eine Nacht länger geblieben sind😊

Die Zimmer sind hellhörig und das Bad sehr klein

Badkamer super basic. Niet meer van deze tijd.

Les petits déjeuners incroyables d’Eva. La vue mer et vue sur la forteresse. Coucher et lever du soleil de la chambre. Une excellente literie et un ménage bien fait. La sympathie du personnel.

Moins aimé : le parking public non surveillé et la route passante mais tout ça est vite oublié grâce à tous les points positifs listés plus haut.

L'emplacement tout proche de La Canée mais face à la mer : se réveiller avec le bruit des vagues et déjeuner en terrasse sur la plage est vraiment génial. Le petit déjeuner était exceptionnel avec des produits maison et frais . La gentillesse de l'accueil.

L'accueil du personnel, Eva est une personne sérieuse, souriante, très gentille, donne des conseils pour les visites, elle prépare de très bons petits déjeuners très copieux, Très bon accueil. Établissement propre et bien placé avec sa terrasse qui donne sur la plage. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la plage en avril mais l'été cela doit être fort appréciable.

Un peu loin du centre mais nous y sommes allés à pied et cela se fait très bien.
