Raňajky boli veľmi slabé, stále to isté a slabý výber. Bolo písané, že je tam pláž. Síce more bolo blizko, ale v Istanbule sa nedá kúpať

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They tried their best. Also, the sea view from the terrace is super nice. Breakfast was nice and fresh but limited options and instant coffee

However there are some questionable points: - My room was recently renovated but of very poor quality. This makes for the weird situation of having a mold on the shower and a broken shower panel but also cove lighting and floor heating in the shower - the payment situation is not the biggest Hussle but concerning. They accept only cash (no card even if it is stated here) but they have no cash register. The owner carries the change on herself. If she is not present oftentimes there is no change. Sometimes she also has no change. Also cleaning in general is okay but not more.

Lokalizacja była świetna, pokój był przestronny z balkonem, mogliśmy zaparkować samochód pod naszym oknem, restauracja była z widokiem na morze, jedzenie było smaczne i w wystarczającej ilości, personel był niezwykle pomocny we wszystkim, wieczorem w restauracji mogliśmy podziwiać taniec brzucha. Rodzinna atmosfera tego miejsca powoduje, że chce się tam wracać.

I don't like any single thing

Good location loads of good food spots nearby , Supermarket over the road . Great service from all the staff they’re all very lovely it’s a very social place with activities to do there they host and organise. If you’re English speaking I’d recommend 10/10. Big up and special thanks to Efir , Irfan , Niad , Aman and Haram . The loveliest and most accommodating staff you could wish for at a hostel. Also the boss man was born in London so you can’t get better than that 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I spent 7 days here, and everything was perfect. The bed was comfortable, and the food was also great. But the most important thing was the boss, Elif. She was very sweet, kind, and optimistic. Also, Haram was very helpful, and I truly enjoyed her company. Special thanks to Nihat,Hammatand Irfan as well. I really appreciated everyone’s kindness and hospitality.

Certain membres du personnel qui paraissaient extrêmement gênés de la situation, il étaient compatissants.

Pendant 2 nuits sur 3 nous n'avons pas eu la chambre que nous avions réservée qui été la plus chère un haut de gamme suite pour 4 personnes soit 2 chambres avec sauna bain à remous terrasse sur le Bosphore etc... . Au lieu de ca nous avons donc du patienter dans une chambre trés exigu de 10m2 pour 4 personnes et dans un mauvais état pour 145€ la nuit, pas de ménage fait, vidage poubelle , nettoyage etc... et aucun rangements possible, obligé de mettre toutes nos affaires par terre au pieds des lits. Ce n'est seulement que le dernier jour que nous avons pu l'intégrer la chambre que nous avions réservée car qu'elle n'était pas disponible pour travaux à réaliser ou surbooking (mais cela on ne le saura pas). Quel déception. Le petit déjeuner était une horreur trés peu de choses proposé, ce qui fait que nous avons du aller à l'extérieur pour nous restaurer le matin. Franchement nous avons payé bien trop cher pour le prestation qui nous à été délivrée. J'en ai informé Booking qui n'a pas pu nous changer d'hôtel . Booking c'est contenté après de multiples appels qui nous on coûté la somme de 90€ car appels en Angleterre hors forfait de nous faire une avoir de 93€ , donc à l'arrivé zéro dépannage . 93€ c'est dérisoire par rapport à ce que nous avions payé et de plus cet avoir n'est même pas remboursable, mais uniquement déductible sur un prochain voyage. Prochain voyage que je ne ferai plus avec Booking, car j'ai perdu confiance en eux quant à la possibilité de nous protéger de ce genre de situation. C'était pourtant la raison majeur pour laquelle je ne passais que par Booking pour mes réservations d'hébergements. Aujourd'hui je n'y trouve plus mon compte avec Booking, je passerais donc par d'autre Bookers, comme Airbnb et autre. Booking c'est fini pour nous après plus de 15 ans de collaboration dont j'était client maximal Génius (foutaise) .

Leider müssen wir von einer Buchung in dieser Unterkunft dringend abraten, insbesondere für Familien.Wir hatten ein Zimmer für 4 Personen reserviert und uns noch einen Tag vor der Anreise telefonisch rückversichert, dass die Buchung wie geplant besteht. Bei unserer Ankunft um 22:00 Uhr wurde uns vom Rezeptionisten jedoch mitgeteilt, dass das Zimmer aufgrund eines Schadens nicht verfügbar sei. Eine Besichtigung des Zimmers wurde uns trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage verweigert, was den Verdacht einer Überbuchung nahelegt.Nach einer zweistündigen Diskussion bis Mitternacht – während unsere Kinder bereits erschöpft im Auto schliefen – wurde uns ein Ersatzpflicht-Zimmer angeboten. Dieses war jedoch nur für 2 Personen ausgelegt und somit für uns als 4-köpfige Familie ungeeignet und unzumutbar. Da keine adäquate Lösung vor Ort gefunden wurde, waren wir gezwungen, uns mitten in der Nacht selbstständig eine neue Unterkunft im Nachbarhotel zu suchen.Durch diesen Vorfall entstanden uns erhebliche Unannehmlichkeiten sowie zusätzliche Mehrkosten für die kurzfristige Eigenbuchung. Das Hotel hat die ursprüngliche Buchung inzwischen zwar storniert, die finale Bestätigung und Abwicklung über den Kundenservice von Booking.com stehen jedoch noch aus. Ein solches Vorgehen und der Mangel an adäquatem Ersatz sind absolut unprofessionell.

Mobilier foarte vechi, micul dejun din care nu ai ce sa alegi, gen ou fier, castraveți, roșii care nici alea nu erau proaspete

The people who ran this place were kind and lovely.

We had a disaster at this location which may be more to do with the age of the place rather than anything else. The second night of our 4 night stay the fuse to our room kept blowing even though it had coped absolutely fine the first night with devices charging alongside the air conditioner. We needed to be up very early in the morning for a bus trip to Gallipoli. Without any power in our room we showered by candlelight gifted to us by another traveller (internal bathroom no lights). We couldn’t charge devices and had to wait for an electrician to come and check the situation out. He came around 10:45pm disconnected the aircon and left. We slept in a hot room ~29oC shared by our family of four. Insects devoured us in the night since we left a window open for air. Another room had been offered but it could only accommodate 3 of us and I wasn’t leaving my 14 year old alone in a room on his second night in Istanbul (he had crashed after sightseeing). The third night 3 of us stayed in Çannukkale leaving our daughter to wait all day until 9:30pm for the electrician to come back and fix the electricity. He left at 11pm leaving his electrical debris distributed across the 3 beds in the room. This situation caused a serious problem for our daughter who has suffered a major head injury and requires lots of sleep after a long flight,(the reason she stayed in Istanbul while we toured Gallipoli and Troy). I accept that this situation was beyond the host’s control and being summer they may not have had the scope to offer an alternative solution. However, they were happy enough to leave us in a sub-standard situation instead of offering a refund or a relocation nearby. They also felt that it was fine enough to stand beside the switch board and reset the circuit breaker every time it tripped while we were trying to shower. We had nothing plugged-in inside our room and the circuit was still being tripped??!! The risk of fire concerned us.

They don’t accept card payments. And wouldn’t recommend the food.

the room was 30 eur per night. our first room was the budget single room, at night SLUGS crawled out of the holes where the pipes are. the room was also on the basement floor, with very poor ventilation. We complained to the staff about the slugs and demanded a room change, they only agreed to change the room if we pay a fee of 120 eur. Despite the receiptionist saying "yes that is completely unacceptable" they did nothing about the room other than cleaning, and other guests in the hotel were put into that room the day after. The second room wasnt as bad, but despite being on a higher floor it still had very poor ventilation and the ac was stinky, the bathroom always got very steamy and the drainage didnt work well so there was always puddles of water in the bathroom. There weren't even any towel hangers in the room, we had to just put the towels somewhere. Not to mention the hotel was heavily understaffed, the poor cleaning lady was doing everything alone and of course because of the lack of staff some days room cleaning had to be skipped (despite us requesting it) Overall, the management is extremely careless in this hotel. i wouldn't recommend ANYONE to stay here for long especially not in the budget room. Please dont make the mistake we made, we thought its a decent option because of the starting low price but clearly it is not. Avoid this hotel, there are so many better options at this price.

Guys at the reception are adorable, Ege, Nihad and Attila will really make your stay unforgettable ! The location of the hostel is ideal, you're only a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosquee, the Topkapi Palace and Ayasofia, the view on the Marmara sea is refreshing in the morning while sipping your tea on the balcony, and there's always a fun game or interesting animation in the evening. I highly recommend the place, and would come back with great pleasure, thanks for everything !

The staff. They were amazing. Shoutout to Nihad and Ege, great lads, very friendly and supportive. They provide you free guidance on basically everything during your stay. Super helpful if you're trying not get scammed in Istanbul. The nightly events. They organize an event every night at the restaurant of the hotel. Bar hopping, beer pong, family dinner. The atmosphere is amazing. If you're traveling solo and want to meet new people, you can't find a better place in Sultanahmet area.

El comedor no da abasto para todos los pasajeros, en la noche es un restobar, lo que no permite ir a disfrutar de algo teanquilo,habia tv pero no señal,no lo solucionaron incluso nos entregaron un cobtrol remoto con pilas malas, el primer dia no nos hicieron aseo y el segundo dia no limpiaron el baño, pagamos 4 dias y solo nos quedamos dos, solicitamos el reembolso y nos negaron ibdicando que lo debiamos solicitar a booking..

I liked how they organised the night club parties and dinner. It was lots of fun to meet strangers and had an amazing experience.

Loved the atmosphere and the people here. The hosts are really nice and i felt really safe which is very important.

I had a very disappointing experience with this property. I selected the “pay at the property” option while booking, but the hotel still charged my card a few days before arrival, which was already concerning. The biggest issue happened when I arrived around 11 PM with my family. The hotel informed us that they were fully booked and could not provide the room we had already reserved and paid for. Instead, they shifted us to another hotel, claiming it was similar. While the alternative hotel itself was decent, it was located about 1 km away from the original property in a much less convenient area, far from the main location we had specifically chosen. This completely defeated the purpose of our booking. Given the late hour and the fact that I was traveling with family, we had no choice but to accept the situation. The staff showed little effort to properly resolve the issue and simply said nothing could be done. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this property due to poor management and lack of reliability in honoring bookings.

L’hostel est très bien placé avec vu sur le Bosphore. Le petit déjeuner compris est excellent. Et le personnel très accueillant.

So so good, staff super friendly and really helpful, let us store bags as long as we needed and were really useful giving us tips/helping us with transport! Tatiana especially was lovely and made sure we were having fun!

I’ve stayed at a lot of places, but Cheers Lighthouse Hostel really stands out! The rooms are excellent and the washrooms are kept impressively clean. The social vibe here is fantastic; it’s so easy to meet people, especially during their fun night activities. One of the absolute highlights is the terrace/balcony—the view is incredible and it's the perfect spot to hang out. The staff are beyond accommodating and really make you feel welcome. A special thanks to Ege, Nihat, and Tatiana! They were all so friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had a great experience. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Overall, this stay was disappointing considering the price of over €780. While the staff were friendly, the location was convenient, and the sea view was beautiful, the hotel did not meet expectations.

The biggest issue was the noise. The windows were poorly insulated, and the walls were extremely thin — we could hear everything, from outside traffic and the tram to conversations, doors, and even bathroom noises from neighboring rooms. There were also loud events in the hotel almost every evening, often until after midnight. The rooms were in poor condition, outdated, and not clean. We stayed for a week, and during the last three days, the room was not cleaned at all. Housekeeping did not come, and we were not provided with fresh towels, which was very disappointing. The bathroom was very small, the TV and Wi-Fi did not work properly, and the sauna was not functioning as expected. Breakfast was basic but okay, although the breakfast area was very small. Overall, not worth the price, and I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made.

Ich musste das Hotel schon am ersten Tag verlassen und mir ein neues Hotel suchen weil es unzumutbar war dort zu schlafen. Man hat mir den Check In verweigert und mir gesagt ich solle 6 Stunden warten und noch darauf war es das dreckigste Hotel Zimmer was ich je gesehen habe. Aufjedenfall nicht empfehlenswert!

Pity to skip the belly dance show this time)) The rooms look neat and renovated, the blanket is warm (it's important!), convenient beds. You can rent a towel.

No curtains of the beds. Light and noise, a little more than in some other hostels. Needs to be prepared. Doors creaking, night ninjas landed on the floor with such noise as if they jumped from the second tier without a ladder. XD

The family rooms in the upper floor have water leaks and they need serious improvement. The location and price are great. The guy at the reception was very nice and helpful. He gave us local tips and helped us arranging transfers from/to the airport. The breakfast buffet was great.

Our family stayed one night at Cheers Lighthouse in March 2026. Our stay coincided with two days of heavy rain, and our room (a family room in the upper floor in the building next to the hostel) had serious water leaks above the bed. We were changed to the room in front our original room, but the new room also showed water leaks, this time coming under the floor panels next to the balcony. There was also water damage in the bathroom ceiling. See the photos.

Incredible location, perfectly functional and comfortable private room, and exceptional staff/customer service. Breakfast was wonderful, check-in/out easy, and staff so accommodating. Would absolutely stay here again.

La chambre attribuée était sale ne fermait pas et la lumière etait en panne... Nous avons donc changé pour un peu mieux en propreté, mais la rue devait passer dans la chambre. (sans bouchons d'oreilles pas de sommeil) . En 5 jours ils n'ont fait qu'une fois la chambre, et pas de savon et shampoing al'arrivee. Cherchez l'erreur Je déconseille fortement. Ah ! Oui pour changer de chambre il a fallut payer un supplément.

Private rooms are in a different building than the hostel itself, and they don't let you know that in advance, until when I arrived I was taken to another building 10 min away walking from the hostel, and this builing does not have any front desk so there is nobody around in case you need something like an extra blanket for everythin u need to go to the hostel

Doručak- sraman. Vrata koja nemaju prigušivač, a sobe su odvojene od hotela, tako da svi lupaju i ulaze i jako loše iskustvo. Sobe nemaju kuvalo, čaše, daljinski za klimu, ofinger ili nešto što bi poslužilo za kačenje stvari.
