I have stayed here 4 different times, love the location love that I can park in front of the room, there's normally a table and chair outside the rooms for smoking, it's a nice set up.

The last time I stayed here, it was pretty dirty, I thought we just got unlucky. This time it was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in! The walls were covered in smudges and drips of unknown substances... literally mud still on the floor that didn't get mopped off. They definitely sprayed a lot of air freshener in the room and that's about it, we had to leave the door open for the first ten minutes so we could just breathe in the room the air freshener was so thick! One bed was decent, the other one was terrible. Definitely the last time I will be staying here. I have to wonder if this motel changed ownership, that's what it seems like since it was much better cared for the first time I stayed here years ago, it was a nice place to stay back then.

Proximity to attractions, excellent food, price of rooms, and great service. The menu has a wide variety of flavours, and who doesn’t like all day breakfast. The beds were new, comfortable. Restaurant and dining area are fun, especially for kids, and could be added to in the way of more cool, eccentric decorations, just to keep it fresh. Just continue to add odd antiquities, that tie into the region.

It’s an old building, and the rooms are showing their age. The rooms could use renovation, and not just a fix whatever breaks approach, which has left them rough around the edges. Even if it was done on a room by room basis, to keep expenses down. The A/C hadn’t been cleaned in some time, and wasn’t cycling. I gave the filter a rinse with hot water, and it solved the issue. The room had a coffee maker and all the accoutrement, but no coffee. I’m sure they would have provided some if I asked, but I just had coffee with my breakfast at the restaurant anyway.

Superb location for exploring the dinosaur attractions in the area. Breakfast at the restaurant was fun and good, totally recommend that. We had two queen beds in our room and they were good. We loved the view on the badlands.

Our room needs a bit of renovation (bathroom facilities + ventilator/airco) and paint. But was good enough for now.

The room was ok with 3 beds, and the beds were clean and comfortable. It could’ve been a little cleaner in the corners for sure but all in all it was a good night sleep and good value.

They dont offer breakfast but the restaurant adjacent to the motel it's amazing, delicious and has the best waiters, Liz in special.

A bit outdated, some dirt here and there. But for the price I guess that's what you get.

It was right in town the museum was 5 minute drive 2 minutes drive to worlds largest dinasor parks spray park. Staff were super friendly and the restaurant was good and very reasonably priced.

Beds could of been more comfortable and could of used a freezer in the room.

We were very happy with our accommodations. Location and value were both great. Showers were hot with plenty of hot water. Beds were comfy enough for our stay and bedding was clean. Staff were excellent and accommodating. The meal next door was amazing! Fantastic breakfast at a very reasonable price. Thank you for our stay!

One minor thing I would suggest would be cleaning the floors. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay!

Classico motel, con la sua struttura tipica. Offre un piccolo frigorifero, un microonde e una macchina per il caffè. Quello che più abbiamo apprezzato è la posizione, a ridosso delle spettacolari badlands; fuori hanno anche posizionato tavoli e panche di legno colorati dove si può consumare un pasto in posizione panoramica (la strada che passa a pochi metri è veramente pochissimo trafficata). Altra cosa apprezzabile sono i letti, molto comodi.

Couldn't reach management after 10pm to get extra towels. The AC system was noisy.

Location, friendly staff, clean towels and linen. New shower head and taps, new toilet. Looks like they tried to renovate but didn’t go deep enough. Windows opened easily.

We turned the fridge lower to prevent freezing our food and ended up with a large brown puddle on the floor. Floor sloped badly. First impression was strong air freshener that hurt the lungs, we aired it and then could smell a strong musty mouldy smell. This was the biggest problem. The shower stall was wobbly and the sink tap came off in my hand and I’m one who has trouble opening containers.

The bed in the living-room was really hard and there was a hole in the ceiling above the bed maybe cover that up..

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly

The beds are too soft, it hurt to sleep on them. The window screen in the bedroom was broken so I had to keep the windows closed and was too hot to sleep. There was something wrong with the plumbing and it made very loud noises. The fridge door wouldn't stay closed and the fridge itself didn't seem to work properly.

We have stayed here multiple times and really enjoy staying here. The rooms are clean and a good size and good value for our money. It is in a great location and we liked that there was a restaurant right on site.

Das Motel ist alt, manches müsste erneuert werden, aber da ich die Atmosphäre von run-down Unterkünften mag, hatte ich wenig auszusetzen.

Das im Zimmer verwendete antibakterielle Reinigungsmittel (nach Auskunft der Motelleitung von der Gesundheitsbehörde empfohlen) roch extrem stark und andauernd.

- Staff very professional, friendly , welcoming and helpful. - Hospitality at its best and our conversation with staff was meaningful and comfortable. - Parking was excellent. - We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and every meal was absolutely delicious. - Staff worked hard to make costumer service a priority. - The location was convenient. - When we return to Drumheller we definitely will book to stay at the Badlands Motel.

- We understood from bookings.com we had 2 separate bedrooms. The united did not as indicated. We chatted with the manager and saw the word issue and it will be changed. - Note: We understood and adjusted to our space. - Although the coffee pot, kettle and toaster worked well there was nothing to cook with. Given the unit had a full stove and fridge. - Again we adjusted. - To be honest we felt right at home in your restaurant. So Likely would not have used the stove.

Location is great near museum and town. People are great everyone very accommodating.

Rooms need some cosmetic work done. Beds could be a little more comfortable.

Smelled very strongly of Lysol. Our room didn’t have GFCI outlets near the sink or tub. The handle broke off the cold water in the tub. Our AC was marginal. Black mold around tub. We asked to modify our stay prior to check in prior to knowing what our room was like and the staff were not responsive. Booking.com attempted to contact them to cancel our second night stay but they didn’t respond to booking.com and didn’t provide any help to us in person.

Totally fine for the price!! You have all you need, and the employees where very friendly. Also the restaurants food was awesome! :)

Awesome staff, they were really accomodating and genuinely nice people, beds were really comfotable and nice pillows, everything was nice and clean. The location is great, it is away from the business of town. Will stay here again.

The toilet was in an akward spot and no fan in the bathroom, but that is pretty minor.

This motel was in a good location

This motel was dirty, the room was not up to standard. I first noticed that the a/c unit was held in with duct tape, then when we walked into the room the closet had drywall mud fixing a hole that was never completed. I went to the sink in the bathroom to fill up water bottles and the darn faucet handle came off in my hand. My son and I had just ridden 6 hours on our motorcycles to get here and we didn't even stay. We booked another hotel and left. Since they had me pre-pay I didn't even get my money back. I would not return or recommend Badlands at any point in time.

The pics were different from what we got , the price was super cheap I guess u get what u pay for , the room was dirty on the walls and curtains base boards were dirty and the door bathroom had mold beds were squeaky and lumpy !!!

The location was amazing. We had booked it specifically to go to the Royal Tyrrell Museum the next morning. It was very close by. The staff was friendly at check in and check out! There was a restaurant but we did not try it. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Drumheller. There was also a kitchenette that I didn't know was there, but was very pleased to find. I would keep it in mind for another trip here!

The motel is very close to some attractions in Drumheller and the restaurant serves a great breakfast, while you watch some modeling trains pass by tracks attached to the ceiling.

Just the air conditioning in the room is the wall type and it is kind of noise, so I could not sleep so well, as it kept waking me up. The rest was fine.

Everything looked well worn but still very functional

I didnt like that upon arrival, there was 5 or 6 dirty diapers in our garbage, and the fan in the bathroom looked like it hadnt been cleaned in 10 yrs. My son got a chicken burger and fries from the restaurant and it tasted like the oil hadnt been changed in quite awhile. I will not stay here again and will tell friends the same

So we stayed in suite which has separate room but there is no air conditioner in that room, summer going to be brutal if you opt for that

Location -close to where friends we staying at the Dino RV. Also close to the start for the Gran Fondo we rode. Being beside the restaurant was very handy!

We just needed a place to sleep for one night. The beds were clean and comfortable. And the price was cheap. So if you’re looking for a quick stay and you don’t need anything fancy this is a good deal.

This property is old and rundown. If you’re expecting any type of luxury, you’re not gonna get it. But everything was functional and clean. It did advertise a full kitchenette and had a picture on the advertisement. However, there was no kitchenette only a microwave and a refrigerator. The building that our room was in had a noticeable slant. Structural issues? It didn’t affect our stay, but it was odd.

The staff was excellent! There's a restaurant attached that was also a popular dining spot for locals (we were surprised by how busy it was in the morning!). Great and central location.

The property is old and they've done their best with it. Everything is very basic. For our room, they used a cleaner with a strong smell that we did not like. Otherwise, it's what's expected for a motel.

The location of the motel is great and it is located by the best restaurant in Drumheller.

We stayed in a newer room that was very awkward. The toilet was located within inches of the new shower so made moving around the large washroom very difficult. The new shower had no shelf for soap or shampoo so had to place these on the floor. The bedside lamp was not working...

Badlands Motel is a classic old-school motel experience with updated comfortable beds and a great location. The restaurant is very convenient and the model trail running around the ceiling is fun.

Need bedside lamps.

Quiet at night, value for money, comfortable beds. Restaurant next door was very good. Motel was full but very quiet, respectful neighbours.

This place is in a great location, close to downtown and the museum. Rooms were very clean and all the staff super friendly. By far the best value in Drumheller.

For one night the room was totally fine. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great.

The motel was comfortable and conveniently located near the Tyrell museum. So, you woke up right in front of the badlands.

Some things needed an upgrade or better layout; for example the table was small and not well placed; a kettle for heating water could be good.

Quite a convenient location if you're visiting Drumheller; the attached restaurant is actually pretty solid too! But also, if you're in the mood for other food, it's a few minutes shy of a few food spots elsewhere in town. Easy checkin, easy checkout, wonderful ultimately!

The tv was a bit... reluctant to connect and function- my friend managed to get it to work after some fiddling but not sure why it didn't initially. Further, coffee maker was making some very weird sounds- possibly user error, unsure. But they offered coffee at the restaurant too which was appreciated!

We loved the location, it was convenient and had a beautiful view. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and everything was in working order. The hosts were helpful and friendly, and the accomidations were affordable. The motel restaurant was charming and well decorated. We will stay here again!

To AVOID absolutely! No staff at the hotel reception, they didn't answer to my two cancellation requests online so they used my credit card number on Booking to steal my money! No hotel staff on site, voicebox is full, staff at the restaurant doesn't have access to the emailbox or do anything for the hotel clients. No service at all, but they take your money! The restaurant staff even raised her voice on me, that's the worst experience I've had in my life. Owner is a liar and say he'll look into that (cancellation request) but NEVER DID! He looked into taking my money though!

Our room had the grossest unwashed floor. I spilled some water and cleaned it up, the paper towel was black with filth. There was a former guests hair caked all over the shower.

The room was not ready when we arrived at 4 o'clock. Had to wait for it to be cleaned. Then he smell of the cleaning products were so overwhelming.

This motel had a restauran,t It was really convenient and really good homemade food.The rooms are really clean too.

The floor was a little spongy in room 20 in the back of the room from the tub to the wall with the table but it was warm and comfy and a delightful respite.

It is a quiet. quaint. clean and basic little motel. steps away from the pancake house. stayed here a number of times and an affordable place to lay your head.

Hot water in shower was a dribble. Shower head old and plugged up. Non-smoking rooms but smokers encouraged to smoke just outside their units so neighbouring units can’t open their windows without getting smoked out. Nice hosts, convenient location, full size fridge. We will stay elsewhere though next trip.

Badlands motel is a pet-friendly motel right on North Dinosaur Trail which is the way to the Royal Tyrell Museum and which showcases the hoodoos of drumeller.

Nice layout

Very nice motel at perfect location for the trips round Drumheller. The view on the hoodoo landscape was very nice. Eating at the restaurant was good, the location is nicely decorated. It's not in the city center, but therefore it's more calm and you can walk (15 min) or bike easily to the city which is more relaxing than with the car because the bridge was under construction at that time. Very nice staff. Big room with 2 windows.

If the breakfast were included in the price it would be perfect.

They have been upgraded a bit, but the kitchenette blinds are past the need for replacement, and some fresh paint would be good. The light fixtures outside the units are nice but need spiders and webs cleaned off.

Do not reserve a room here. It's not possible to cancel it. I've tried calling and leaving messages. Used their website contact form. No response and the owner who is a real estate agent in BC will not answer the phone numbers available and does not return messages. Total scam. Today I see the charges on my credit card.

Room decor was dated. Microwave placed on top of fridge, unplugged. Milk crates used for plastic plant stands.

The pictures on site did not meet the reality of room 28. Onopening the door there was a musty smell. The carpets were full of stain. Not all windows opened, the air conditioner was very loud. Had coffee fixings but no coffee pot. No toilet paper on the holder. However bed sheets were clean. We could not wait to get out of there. Will not stay again!

The restaurant was fabulous, the food and staff exceptional.

The room was not very clean. The carpet was disgustingly filthy. You had to wear your shoes if you were on the room for sanitary reasons. Stayed there three nights and had absolutely no maid service of any kind. Would NEVER stay there again. The restaurant attached to the motel had good food and great staff. Go figure?

Great restaurant with home cooked meals.

It’s old - the floors squeak, the carpets need replacing, the bathrooms need serious upgrades.

We walk and it smells of cleaning products,which we were okay with, check the sheets which were clean so we were very happy to see. We left and when we got back, the bugs came out. Place needs a deep clean, bathroom fan is disgusting, only one towel/cloth per person, carpet needs to be replaced, no hair dryer as advertised. Was a decent price but was not impressed and will not be back
