Location (quick train ride to central London), price (excellent for London), delicious pub food, staff (did their best to accommodate my needs), quiet nights (pub section closed at 11:00 p.m.) and clean, crisp sheets.

Warning: do not bring heavy bags. No elevator, and staff not readily available to bring up bags to my room on the top floor, so I brought them up myself. Nothing wrong with this except it is not noted in listing and unless one has stayed in pub accommodations before, one might not be aware of this. However, there was a kind staff member who helped bring luggage down for my departure. Also slackness in cleanliness--drinking glass in bathroom had been rinsed out but not properly cleaned--evidence of someone else's toothbrush/toothpaste in my glass, same with teacup in room, rinsed not washed. Either vacuum not working properly or carpet had not been vacuumed before my arrival and certainly not in the gap between the twin beds.

Room not totally blackout as had a street lamp near window. Breakfast was average.

Very clean room, great coffee machine, a fantastic (and practically silent!) Dyson air cooler, and a very comfortable bed. Lovely area, just up the road from Blackheath and Greenwich. Very close to Hither Green train station for speedy access to central London. Everything was perfect, including the full English breakfast. Will certainly stay here again! :)

We have stayed before and it was just as good. Friendly staff, nice unpretentious pub food, the room and decor in keeping with the age and style of the hotel and nice touches like a brownie and large selection of drink sachets in our room and nice toiletries for showering.

Staff were amazing , im a regular guest so I like the hotel and the location , food is good and I like the open plan Resteraunt with natural daylight , the rooms were clean and tidy Defo return

The bed was smaller than advertised by booking.com - the listing refers to a large double bed, which we took to mean king (from prior experience). It was definitely not a large double bed, just a normal double - had we known, we would not have booked as my partner is very tall There was also an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, nothing to do with cleanliness (it was clean) and more plumbing/pipes

Great staff, very helpful and welcoming. Comfortable and clean room. Delicious full English breakfast. Great value for money. Situated 5 mins walk from Hither Green station. I highly recommend!

J’ai été surpris lorsque j’ai eu accès à ma chambre que la serrure était arraché et pas réparé je n’ai pas eu le temps de le signaler car je suis resté qu’une nuit .

Unfortunately boiling hot... could have done with fan/air-con.

The room was very presentable and the hotel is in an ideal location. The selection of snacks and hot drinks in the room was very generous and the brownies on arrival was a great gesture.

We had two issues with our stay. Firstly there was no air con in our room which made sleeping almost impossible. A fan was provided although it was full of dust and spread across the room when switched on. We are aware a heatwave is something that can't be avoided and the fan was great to have, but air con would have made the room a lot more comfortable. Lastly, the hot tap in the room was loose and we managed to soak the floor by accident when turning it on.

Room was lovely, well designed and very comfortable. The pub served us a fantastic evening meal before our stay. Very convenient for the rail station.

A little noisy, but that was because we had to keep the windows open because of the temperature.

Camera moderna e confortevole in una struttura affascinante proprio perchè storica. Hotel pulito e attento alle necessità degli ospiti (ventilatore, acqua, snack di benvenuto...). Il pub di cui fa parte è accogliente e un ottimo punto di riferimento. La vicinanza alla stazione permette di raggiungere il centro di londra con collegamenti frequenti. Quartiere residenziale tranquillo con servizi base nelle vicinanze. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Non adoro la moquette perchè la pulizia non può essere scrupolosa, ma penso che in UK sia inevitabile. Non è ovviamente una struttura pensata per il gran caldo di quest'estate: la finestra si apre in modo limitato e l'aria condizionata è assente. Se si vuol visitare il centro di Londra bisogna considerare il tempo ed il prezzo del treno.

Jättemysigt hotell ovanpå supermysig pub! Perfekt läge om man vill ha lugn och ro men ändå närhet till storstad. Väldigt trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Smakfullt inredda rum, pub och uteterass. Återkommer gärna!

Staff were friendly. Location is close to Hither Green train station and other local shops. The pub on the ground floor is large, open, and provided a really nice breakfast. Our room was on the top floor so we got a nice breeze through the windows and we didn't have any issues with noise.

Three issues: 1) The bed is not a 'large double' as the booking describes... It is a standard UK double bed, which is not the same as a king size double, and this was a disappointment when we arrived. 2) The room looked tired and could use redecorating. Lots of marks on the walls, stains in the carpet etc. 3) Room needs a deeper clean. There were cobwebs around the ceiling and dust on the lamps.

Lovely hotel! We were travelling from Stansted Airport to Crystal Palace Park and stayed at this hotel along the way. What a great choice! The welcome in the restaurant was very friendly, and the check-in was smooth and pleasant as well. The hotel has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, and we immediately felt at home. Definitely a great place to stay when you’re in the area!

Very friendly staff, comfortable bed, great location, good tea and coffee facilities. The room was quite hot so very pleased to have a fan.

The bathroom lighting was quite dim and impractical (I’ve stayed in several different rooms over the years, and they all have this issue). No hand shower attachment. No blind in the bathroom, despite overlooking the pub garden.

Lovely staff, good location and great breakfast. For a couple nights stay it was perfect. Wish I'd had more time to hang about the pub. Would book again for sure.

Room could use a little sprucing up. My bathroom was a bit grubby and smelt like bad drains, so much so I thought someone had left evidence behind in the loo! The set up for the tea and fans etc was lovely and thoughtful but with only one plug socket in that area it was difficult to use them as I'd have to get under the table to change plugs, something I'm unable to do as I have an impairment in my knees. Shame because I'd have liked to have had a cuppa in the evening.

Nähe zur Bahn und viele Geschäfte drumherum und natürlich der Pub darunter! Sehr bequemes Bett und eine tolle Dusche in einem großzügigen Bad. Das super freundliche Personal wo sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend waren!

Natürlich wusste ich vorher das ein Pub darunter ist, aber waren doch zeitweise sehr laute Aussengeräusche. Und die Fenster konnten nicht sehr weit geöffnet werden zum lüften.

Ho avuto due prelievi sulla carta senza avere nessuna spiegazione nonostante i numerosi solleciti sia alla struttura che al centro assistenza booking. Manca l'aria condizionata, pulizia generale inesistente

The location was perfect for getting in to London easily and for visiting my son.

I would have preferred to have been on the first floor. It was very hot and I had a very heavy case. However, on arrival, a very nice member of staff carried my case to my room. It was very much appreciated.

Die Option Frühstück zu bekommen mit diesem preis fand ich ziemlich gut. Das Bett war sehr weich und angenehm noch dazu haben SIe ein Ventilator in das Zimmer reingestellt was den ganzen aufenthalt besser machte

Third time staying and will stay again! We were going to a concert at Wembley this time and the Station Hotel is ideal! Love the location. Staff great-food-which we have had in the past-great. I never requested a quiet room as booking.com state...just a room not on the top floor which was accommodated-thank you. The beds are extremely comfy The shower was wonderful The little extras are a nice touch. All in all a lovely place to stay

All good except it was stiflingly hot and windows would only partially open. Height of Summer-but hotter than usual as we all know! We asked for a fan...and Harry... a lovely lad...thankfully brought one to our room...but no remote...which staff looked for but couldn't find... so it would not oscillate...but another one was given to us...again by Harry...so we each had a chance to sleep It would have been horrendous otherwise.

Room was extremely small and room was ridiculously hot, no airflow due to window only opening a few inches. A fan was supplied but made no difference, as a consequence I had the worst nights sleep ever. I booked a two night stay but cancelled the second night, let’s see if Andrew the G/M refunds money as he offered.

Great location. Our room was on the second floor, so a few flights of stairs. Loved that there a bar/restaurant and really nice beer garden all in one spot.

Lovely pub with good beers, food and an excellent breakfast. Nice comfortable room. Free parking on the street.

Very small room tiny bed. I left two nights before my booking finished they promised and got signature on the paper that they will refund one night. But so far they never did.

localisation sympathique, avec un beau bâtiment. Le manager côté hôtel était très sympathique et la chambre était propre et agréable.

Le seul bémol était le manque de climatisation dans les chambres. Mais un ventilateur était à disposition.

One unruly very drunk customer constantly swearing loudly during Switzerland v Bosnia & H world cup game and staff did nothing about it. Had to move to other side of pub to get away. Also lighting was too dim in the bathroom.

Great location for access into City with Hithergreen Station just across the road. Staff were very friendly and helpful and food was good with varied menu.

Only issue we had was a problem with the shower in that the shower tray didn’t drain away quickly enough and if you stayed in shower for more than a minute there was a danger it would flood the bathroom. Hotel were aware of the problem and workmen were in the hotel trying to sort issue out but wasn’t sorted out before we left.

Struttura accogliente recentemente ristrutturato con pub caratteristico e colazione super buonissima ed abbondante.

Das Zimmer (Doppelzimmer Superior) war ausreichend groß und das Hotel ist nahe der railway gelegen sodass man schnell in der Stadt ist. Das Frühstück (inbegriffen) ist sehr gut und üppig, besonders das typisch Englische -man kann aus einer Karte wählen. Im Zimmer gab es einen Kaffeeautomaten mit Kapseln die aufgefüllt wurden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Stimmung und das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und authentisch. Von der Livemusik haben wir im Zimmer (2. Stock) nichts gehört. In der Umgebung sind Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Leider sah der Teppich im Zimmer ungesaugt und schmutzig aus, die beiden Betten waren leider auch fleckig und im Bad gab es Schimmelflecken in der Dusche - hinzu kam, dass wir nicht das Gefühl hatten, dass das Zimmer während unseres Aufenthaltes gereinigt wurde. Der Holzgriff der Schublade ist lose, die Taste der Toilettenspülung war nicht mehr vorhanden und die Fernbedienung für den Ventilator hat nicht funktioniert - natürlich kann man alles noch benutzen, es macht aber irgendwie keinen guten Gesamteindruck und liese sich schnell und ohne viel Aufwand reparieren. Das Toilettenpapier wurde leider nicht aufgefüllt sodass ich zweimal nachfragen musste - einmal spät am Abend im Pub bei vollem Betrieb. Leider wurden die Saft- & Wasserkaraffen beim Frühstück erst auf Nachfrage aufgefüllt, was auch nicht sonderlich schlimm ist, jedoch unaufmerksam und es war nicht viel los.

Nagyon szép szobák, tisztaság, a személyzet kedvessége. A reggel szuper volt, igazi angol reggeli és finom avokádós toast.

El staff super atentos y simpáticos, incluso fue posible adelantar el checkin. Millones de gracias! El tamaño de la habitación también cabe destacarlo ya que otras veces que nos hemos alojado la habitación era muy pequeña. Esta habitación es un palacio en comparación!!! Y por ultimo, el capuchino super super rico!!

Poca variedad de desayuno incluido, sirve para coger un poquito de fuerza para empezar la mañana

It had food available.

The staff were not friendly at all. Made no effort to talk. Used the coffee pods in the rooms and were not replaced. We had to wait 50 mins one morning for breakfast. 3 pastries Juices not refilled.

The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The food is reasonably priced and very tasty!! The staff were incredibly friendly almost making you feel like you’re one of the locals.

The rooms could have done with an air conditioner as the temperature was in the mid to high thirties Celsius but the pedestal fans supplied in the rooms helped take the edge off the heat.

Great friendly helpful staff. Room was exactly what we booked & very clean. Great food in the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms were not clean. Bathroom floor was filthy with a big gap of missing floor. Mould in the shower. Toilet was stained brown inside. Big stain on the carpet. Lots of cobwebs and dust.

No hubo nada por decir algo quizás el desayuno que es muy limitado solo tostadas yogures fruta cereales leche zumo de naranja y mermeladas si querías algo más en plato lo tenías que pagar aparte y era caro

Der Stil, das dazugehörige Restaurant hat eine unglaublich tolle Stimmung, die Lage ist direkt vor einem Bahnhof in einer sehr gemütlichen Umgebung

Die Fenster lassen jedes Geräusch herein, zum Glück steht es sehr ruhig.

Sólo hablan ingles y no hacen esfuerzos para entenderte. Pedimos un plato para cenar y nos trajeron otro mucho mas caro. Tuvimos la impresión que nos tomaron el pelo.

Fab location. Staff are lovely. Pub is lovely and rooms are modern and clean.

Bar closes when the pub does so residents can’t had a late drink. Room was a little cold.

Room was spacious and comfortable, with excellent shower, toiletries and towels. There was a wide range of choice for breakfast. I ate with a party of 5 and we all enjoyed what we had. The staff were all very professional, friendly, helpful and attentive.

This is a tiny complaint, but the room had an enormous window, covered by one, equally enormous curtain. I found this quite hard to open and close, and would recommend two separate curtains when you next re-fit the rooms.

Otele vardigimizda.. otelin kapısi kilitli idi. Cam kapidan resepsiyon gorunuyordu ama kimse yoktu..yarım saat yol yorgunluğu üzerlmizde bekledik. Sinerlerimiz bozuldu. Yarım saat sonra gelen ve otel muduru oldugunu soyleyen kişi, aksıklık için özür dilemedi. Aksine begenmiyorsanız başka otele gidin dedi. Aksam saat 17 00 olmasa giderdik ama mecbur giriş yaptık

Nice bright rooms, great helpful staff, good location for public transport, shower hot and plentiful, good quality linens the pub is very lively but you couldn't hear noise in the rooms, the immediate area is quiet at night

be warned - on booking.com the double rooms say they are large beds but they are standard UK double size. we found the beds a bit firm coffee machines and pods not compatible some of the exterior of the building is lit all night so it's bright in the rooms at night despite the blackout blinds

Liked the room especially the view. It was warm and comfortable.

It’s close proximity to the station but you didn’t hear the trains while there. Had a warm welcome upon arrival and could book in on line before hand so only had to sign in and pick up the key card. Booking out was as easy as there was a post box in the small reception to leave the cards without finding staff as they also run the pub downstairs

It’s stairs only to the rooms which could be a problem if you have difficulty going upstairs and carrying your luggage but we managed okay. The shower was very powerful which was great but the shower tray filled up very quickly as it didn’t drain very easily.

Staff very welcoming and friendly, greeted with a smile! Lovely, clean room, nicely decorated and cosy with thick,fluffy towels! Food was really nice and well presented. The room was quiet even though the pub itself was extremely busy.

I think the room and bathroom could have been a bit warmer on arrival, although there was a room heater to adjust, there was only the towel heater in the bathroom. I found the light on the radiator was quite bright during the night.

everything was very good. Bed is a little small. Option of a twin room would be good I think they used to offer this.

Great location opposite the train station and the pub is buzzing with friendly locals. Big and comfy pub with lots of food offerings with little pizzeria across the road. The room was beautiful really cosy and clean with a super comfy bed. Great bathroom, pristine clean, excellent drink making and snack facilities. Free home made cake in my room nice touch. Excellent all round.

Can’t say anything negative about the station house, if I was being picky I would say that the tea cups are too wide and tea goes cold very quickly so maybe some different tea cups !
