Das Hotel im Ortsteil Blackheath liegt nur 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt, um in die City zu fahren. Es bietet kostenlose Parkplätze direkt am Hotel, allerdings ohne Möglichkeit zu reservieren (wir hatten Glück). Unser Dreibettzimmer war ausreichend groß und sehr gut ausgestattet, zum Glück nach hinten raus und daher sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück mit großem Buffet ist sehr vielseitig und sehr gut.

Das war unsere teuerste Unterkunft während unser 2,5 Wochen in England. Ich habe aber keinen Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in London, da ich das Hotel auf Empfehlung einer Freundin direkt gebucht hatte.

Kamers zijn redelijk gehorig, wat storend is met luidruchtige buren. Er is geen airco. Stalen ramen met enkele beglazing filteren geluid van buiten niet voldoende.

Too hot everywhere in hotel. I know it's warm weather but even so, there was no air in corridors or rooms. No Aircon just old fashioned noisy fans The hotel looks worn and tired and needs a refresh Front rooms on the road, constant noise all night as it's a very busy road. We had to move room (117) as we had no sleep but the manager dealt with it straight away.

An authentic English hotel in a lovely location. The view from the front is magnificent; you look out over a park, and the skyline features recognizable London landmarks. Breakfast is good (especially the English breakfast). Very friendly staff; service with a smile.

It's pity that it was extremely warm these days and with a room on south-west is challenging. No airco so until deep in the night warm/hot in the room.

Prima hotel, goed gelegen qua het Greenwich Park, en Blackheath station, de kamer was schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het engelse ontbijtbuffet was ruim opgezet, en lekker vers. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

There were quite a few problems. The phone did not work so I could not order room service and the aerial had been removed so I could not watch TV. The bed springs were also quite uncomfortable.

The staff were extremely obliging and very helpful. Not happy with the bed, the springs had collapsed and you almost sink into the bed. Though I booked for room with disable facilities, I was given a room with no walk in shower or a toilet with grab rails. I took my own toilet seat riser or it would have been very difficult for me to use the toilet. As I am recovering from a knee replacement surgery, I am not able to get in and out of a bath too.

The room was very hot, the only fan in the room was far from adequate, you could not adjust it. We had to have the window open and was woken up to a pigeon in our room. Very disappointed from the previous stay I had there.

Great location near the O2. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Having parking outside is a real bonus and why I have stayed here a number of times. Breakfast is always lovely too.

There was a big event on that night we weren’t aware of and that made it quite busy and slightly chaotic.

Die Lage und Nähe zu Greenwich ist fantastisch. Mit der Bahn ist auch London Zentrum sehr einfach und schnell zu erreichen.

Die Zimmerausstattung ist etwas veraltet. Parkplätze am Hotel sind rar und stehen nicht unbedingt zur Verfügung.

Very nice room, even though it was for a single person I still had a lot of space to put away my clothes and toiletries. Amazing breakfast with a lot of options and very accommodating staff.

My room was next to where I assume they get their deliveries and the gate would beep quite loudly whenever a car drove in. The room would get really hot whenever I showered and I woke up quite a lot due to the floors creaking whenever someone walked in the hallway.

Every member of staff were helpful, happy and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Perfect location . Breakfast 100% perfect experience .

Wir sind zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel. Schon bei unserem ersten Besuch hat es uns so gut gefallen, dass wir es jetzt wieder gebucht haben. Diesmal hatten wir die Familiensuite mit zwei Zimmern gebucht, um für uns und unsere beiden erwachsenen Kinder mehr Platz zu haben. Eine Bushaltestellt ist direkt vor dem Hotel und zum Bahnhof Blackheath sind es 5 Minuten Fußweg. Das Zimmermobiliar ist zwar schon etwas älter, aber wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt und alles war sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Unser Highlight war der nette singende Mitarbeiter beim Frühstücksbuffet. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit allem.

Das Bad ist leider sehr klein. Mit vier Erwachsenen mussten wir da schon logistisch vorgehen.

Lovely establishment, the staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than check in but could use the car park once we registered it with reception which was really helpful. Room was large, clean and quite. The breakfast was fantastic, I'd recommend using it if you can.

Breakfast was great, but they could do with finding some better plant based sausages - the ones they had were rather mushy and didn’t really taste of anything!

The breakfast was delicious, lots of choice. The staff were efficient and attentive. The room was lovely and clean. Reception staff helpful and greeted us with a smile. What a lovely stay!

Our room was great, spacious and clean. Breakfast was exceptional; good variety and the staff took pride in their job. Did not need to use our car once we arrived at the hotel because the station and bus stop were easily accessible for traveling into central London. Although the hotel is on a main road, the noise level was not bad and there weren't sirens going late into the night.

We were lucky to get a car park space. Parking was made more difficult by vans/ cars parking in non marked spaces, so restricting movement.

Dated decor needs updating and more amenities

Hôtel bien situé, avec un accès facile aux transports, notamment pour rejoindre l’O2 Arena et le centre de Londres. Le personnel était très agréable et accueillant. La chambre était propre, le linge de bain impeccable et les serviettes changées chaque jour. Nous avions deux oreillers chacune, très confortables. Globalement, tout ce qui concernait la propreté et le service était vraiment très bien.

Plusieurs points ont toutefois été décevants. Une partie de l’hôtel n’est pas desservie par l’ascenseur, ce que je n’avais pas remarqué lors de la réservation. Avec des difficultés pour monter les escaliers, cela a été assez pénible, surtout le soir après une journée de visite. La chambre était assez basique et les rangements vraiment limités pour deux personnes sur quatre nuits : une petite armoire à une porte, donc nous avons laissé la plupart de nos vêtements dans les valises. L’un des deux matelas s’enfonçait beaucoup, alors que l’autre était correct. La salle de bain était très exiguë. La porte passait tout juste à côté des toilettes et, avec l’abattant à fermeture lente, il fallait parfois attendre qu’il soit complètement rabattu pour pouvoir fermer correctement la porte. La chasse d’eau n’était pas très pratique et nécessitait parfois plusieurs essais. Le système de douche, avec deux sorties, n’était pas très intuitif non plus. La porte d’entrée de la chambre se refermait très lentement à cause du système de fermeture, ce qui devenait vite agaçant. Il n’y avait pas de climatisation, seulement un ventilateur. Comme il faisait chaud, nous avons souvent dû laisser la fenêtre ouverte, mais le simple vitrage et le bruit extérieur rendaient les nuits moins confortables. Enfin, le petit-déjeuner était assez décevant pour un buffet annoncé comme continental. Il y avait plusieurs produits sucrés, mais les viennoiseries étaient très petites et très sucrées. J’aurais apprécié davantage de choix classique, comme des croissants ou pains au chocolat, du pain frais ou de la baguette, ainsi que du fromage en tranches et davantage de choix salé.

The reception staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were comfy and the buffet breakfast was lovely too with attentive staff. Close to eating places and railway. We like coming here.

The rooms are a bit dated but clean the doors slam when shutting. no aircon but did have a fan the shower was a bit weak we moved rooms as we were above the function room and there was a wedding reception so loud music but the ataff found us another room no bother at all. Need to get there early as not much parking

This hotel does a very good breakfast and is well located. The staff are always kind, cheerful, helpful. The beds are reasonably comfortable - pretty good really.

The WI-FI in room 378, even with a corporate password was dire. The hot water was tepid. The UHT milk tasted ‘off’. The car parking situation ridiculously bad with no arrangement with the local council for discounted on street parking. There is no, nearby car park. Oh- the toaster in the restaurant is an interesting experience.

Such a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. You can park there for a small charge. There is a fantastic curry house right near 2 mins walk away. "Taste of Raj" It's a MUST! You can walk to Greenwich through the park and over the heath it's a lovely walk.

Bfast was hectic and seemed to run out of things well before the end time on both days I was there. I know it's busy but if you left it too late some things ran out. It was very hot while I was there so remember no air con but they do supply fans that worked well. Maybe some rooms have but mine did not.

I use this place frequently. The staff are always so friendly and helpful: the location is perfect, on the heath, with Greenwich, London and Charlton Athletic easily accessible. Food good. Also in a lovely part of London with a plethora of good eateries and pubs on the doorstep.

The rumour it will be closing next year.

If you are going to a concert at the o2 it’s an amazing location and Blackheath gives a small town feeling in London.

Stayed here for a concert at the o2 arena. Very handy location to get the 108 bus that stops very close to the arena. The local area is nice village. Breakfast is decent. Good variety of choice. We also had a variety of evening meals which were all tasty too. Staff very happy and friendly. We would stay again.

We have stayed her many times. Always top quality for service, room very clean. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast is always superb, plenty to eat and drink.

Nie spodobały mi sie śniadania. Pierwsze jak najbardziej ale przez kolejne trzy dni wszystko to samo, nawet w tych samych miejscach poustawiane - to trochę słabe. Coz to byłby za koszt dla hotelu zmienić smak jogurtu? Coz to byliby za koszt ugotować dla gości parówkę/ kiełbaskę? Jaki to koszt dołożyć jakies warzywa do całości? A tak w kazdy dzien sniadanie wyglądało identycznie. Słabiutko.

Super Lage, guter Anschluß zum Bahnhof und der Greenwich Park ist gleich vor der Nase. Nettes Personal und ein leckeres Frühstück. Sie waren auch sehr hundefreundlich. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Leider gibt keine Klimaanlage. Es war im ganzen Hotel sehr warm und vorallem in den Zimmern. Es gab nur einen kleinen Ventilator und die Fenster konnten nicht richtig geöffnet werden.

Our event was for family and friends and we booked the Regency Suite. We were very impressed by the quality of the function room, services, food, staff and also bedroom. We would absolutely recommend the Clarendon and staff without reservation.

Had a lovely meal here with friends and was really impressed with the food. Everything was delicious and full of flavour! We all really enjoyed our meals A special mention has to go to Samantha behind the bar. She was amazing! quick, friendly, and really welcoming throughout our visit. Her great service really added to the experience. She was also helping the rest of the staff clear the tables and food. She really went above and beyond We had a brilliant time and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic event courtesy of the Clarendon. The arrangements were carried out perfectly and the staff were attentive, friendly and professional. I fully recommend the Clarendon if you are considering a celebration event.

i had the pleasure of attending the clarendon on Sunday the 23rd of Aug all staff members were very accommodating with all the requested that our larger group of 12 needed and every thing was done with ease. Wifi was super traag, maar hield ons plezier met elkaar niet tegen

Kousek od parku, cca 5-10min pěšky do kopce od vlaku. Byli jsme zde v době, kdy byly v Londýně hodně vedra, takže klimatizace na pokoji citelně chyběla, větrák zcela nedostačující. Snídaně nám zde moc nevyhovaly - velmi málo/ téměř žádná čerstvá zelenina, pečivo jen toustový chleba. Ale celkový pobyt byl v pořádku, přijemná přilehlá zahrada s posezením.

I had my wedding at the Clarendon Hotel in August 2026. Julie and the entire events team were amazing to work with and were able to answer all of my questions leading up to the big day. Both the Regency Suite and Meridian Restaurant are lovely spaces for hosting a wedding and the staff worked so hard making everything just right. We also received many compliments from our guests about the food provided - another great touch to a special day ☺️

I recently (7-8/08) had a great short stay at The Clarendon and have to say that the standard of hospitality that I received was exemplary which made my stay so enjoyable. It's obvious that the front of house staff work very hard to accomodate guests with whatever needed which is a real help when travelling. This is my second visit and each time the rooms have been very clean, bright and comfortable and the restaurant and room service excellent. Will be back soon! Margaret

I visited The Clarendon Hotel restaurant today with my mum and church friends. The service we received was amazing. I had a roast dinner - beef, pork and lamb which was the perfect size. Isabel paid extra attention to our large table and made us feel perfectly welcome. Samantha was also very happy to help us and had great service.

I had a gloriously fantastic time with my fellow Christian sisters at The Clarendon Hotel. The moment we got there the Manager Isabel was very, very accommodating. And so were the other staff members, Bella, Samantha and Jagriti. They were patient, friendly, polite and helpful. It was indeed a pleasure to be served by these people. I do hope they are recognised for their service and I do hope this review gets read. Thank you very much ladies. The food was also absolutely delicious. I had the soup of the day which was Cream of mushroom and I give it a Solid 10. The roast menu was delicious as well. The gravy was a solid 10. All in all, a solid experience. Thank you.

The hotel is situated on a hill only minutes from a train station. Several buses stop on front of the building. It is a short bus ride to the O2 arena. The interior looks historic with carpets and wallpaper. It’s maintained with care and spotlessly cleaned. There is an elevator. The staff is very kind and accommodating. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant on site. Breakfast is until 9.30 during the week, which can be a bit of a challenge for night owls like us, but food items (e.g. eggs) were restocked until the very end of the time window. That’s not always the case elsewhere and therefore was greatly appreciated. We slept comfortably. The room was warm. There was a window that could be opened for fresh air.

Due to the proximity of the city airport there is some noise of airplanes passing overhead. We didn’t mind. The wifi was sometimes slow or went off, for whom this is of importance.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel in Blackheath. Bus vor der Tür und zum Zug nur 6 Minuten, dann 20 Minuten in die Stadt. Kleiner und netter Ort mit für uns guter Infrastruktur. Außerhalb Londons, ruhig und doch mitten drin. Sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück sehr gut und auch abends hatten wir auf der Speisekarte etwas gefunden. Es war sehr ruhig - lag auch daran, dass wir Sonntag bis Donnerstag dort waren.

Keine Klimaanlage und nur Ventilator. Es war einfach zu warm.

La zona es tranquila y la habitación es bastante amplia. Está a 20 minutos caminando del mirador de Greenwich y a 8 mins andando de una estación de tren.

Bastante alejado del centro (40’ aprox en tren con transbordos) pero ya lo sabíamos cuando lo reservamos.

My friends and I attended an afternoon tea at the Clarendon hotel, we was blown away by the exceptional service. We were served by a lovely member of staff called Amy, she was incredibly patient as my friend has a lot of diary requirements, she let us take our time and made us feel very valued, the service was quick and the food was delicious, we will definitely be returning!

I came for a meal with my family and the experience was made even better by a lady called Amy. She made sure that we had great service, nothing was too much trouble and she was warm and welcoming and made us all feel welcome. She looked after us really well. Nothing was too much trouble.

Awful! Have posted a review directly on their site. Staff singing in the restaurant and having super loud personal convos in the adjacent bar. Do not try it out. Have stayed in the rooms (once) in the past and they are just as mediocre/outdated. It’s like the Fawlty Towers of Blackheath.

This characterful hotel is located facing Blackheath Common and a very short walk away from Blackheath itself. Our room was overlooking the Common, was spacious, well decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptionally good and in a lovely room which overlooks the rear garden. The rate we paid was very competitive, especially when compared to alternative hotels

There is a lack of Air-conditioning which normally I’m sure wouldn’t be any problem…but our stay coincided with a heatwave! However, there was a fan in the room and this enabled us to sleep quite comfortably. We were saddened to hear that the hotel is due to be turned into a Nursing Home….so get there while you can!

Het was verzengend heet deze zomer in Londen maar onze kamer, zonder airco, was heerlijk koel en zeer aangenaam. De bedden sliepen prinsheerlijk en het personeel was superaardig en behulpzaam. Het treinstation ligt op 5 minuten lopen van het hotel en brengt je binnen 25 minuten naar hartje Londen terwijl je je auto gratis parkeert bij het hotel. Met een Heerlijk Engels ontbijt, de volgende dag, hadden we een fantastisch verblijf.

De prijs was wat aan de hoge kant en de Wifi viel steeds weg.

It is always nice to visit this place. The attention and details are always on point. At the restaurant, Faye made a great job as our server. In the bar, we had some nice beers and cocktails. The experience is always marvelous as a way to escape the big city.
