The stay is in a great location, not far from Old Montreal downtown, whether you drive or take public transit, with the trip taking about 15 minutes. It is also right beside Longueuil Town Centre, where there are plenty of restaurants with different cuisines and local specialties to enjoy. The host was very friendly and took the time to show us around the house and the backyard garden. The antique furniture gave the house a charming, nostalgic atmosphere and reminded us of the beautiful old homes that being read about in storybooks. The shared kitchen was also very convenient for our small family to prepare our own meals during the stay. Last but definitely worth mentioning was the piano in the living room. My daughter loved it very much, she could continue practising while we were travelling and enjoy playing whenever she had some free time. It was an overall comfortable and memorable stay with a lot of character.
None.
Nice area to stay. Short distance to metro with BIXI bikes.
To our surprise there was a dog staying in the house, with the owners what we didn’t expect either. We thought that the whole house would have been private for us during our stay. Maybe our own misunderstanding but nevertheless it was not as relaxing for us what we wanted. Nothing bad to say about the owners however, they were very nice, friendly and helpful people.
Location was great and very easy to walk to their small village center which had plenty of restaurants. Very quiet location. Delightful older house and the hosts were very gracious and spoke excellent English.
There was a small dog that lived at the house that I was not aware of. As someone who has a discomfort with small dogs, I wish I would’ve known this ahead of time Additionally, breakfast was included, but I was never told when breakfast would be. I left at 8:30 in the morning and still nobody was awake and there were no signs as to when breakfast was served so I left hungry. Just a little disappointed in that. Additionally, there was construction, going onto the outside of the house right underneath my bedroom window until 8:30 at night. Making for a weary travel travelers’s ability to get to sleep early impossible.
The host was welcoming and the location was convenient for us to visit Montreal with fair pricing.
A very cosy place with lots of character! Easy access to Montreal city center (takes time, yes, but great public transportation), Longueuil center right there with lots of dining and coffee options, free parking next to the house.
Need to keep in mind that it is not a hotel, it is like staying with someone so you can hear noises from other rooms and areas in the house. We were fine with it because we loved the authenticity of the place, but something to consider anyway.
L'emplacement
Very clean and comfortable house. Absolutely lovely lady in charge. Breakfast was amazing. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Montreal.
Amazing location, easy access by bus and metro to downtown Montreal! Very comfortable room with lovely hosts.
Gute Auswahl an Restaurants in direkter Umgebung.
It's a B&B and I stayed here three nights because I had some work nearby. The hosts were absolutely charming, giving me as much privacy as I needed, while still being friendly and solicitous. The breakfast was delightful, fresh ingredients personally prepared. The room was charming and certainly big enough. Highly recommended. BTW, there is a lively commercial district right there, so there are plenty of options for restaurants and a drug store and supermarket.
I really can't think of anything that should be improved. It's small, or course, and somewhat cozy, but nothing wrong with that if it's what you signed on for (as I did).
Fabulous! So clean, cozy and comfortable. We would love to stay again
Absolutely nothing we didn't like . It was perfect!
Atmosphere
Amazing place, so cozy and the hosts make you feel very welcome. The breakfast was homemade pancakes. So nice!
What a little gem. We felt so welcomed by Louise and Frédéric, and Sweppy, their dog too! We wanted a quiet, peaceful home from home place and this delivered all of that. We stayed for 2 nights in the beautiful ground floor room La Poesie with a view of the garden through the bathroom window. Plenty of hot water, a combined bath and shower, good reception for WiFi and an extremely comfortable bed. Our breakfasts were truly delicious. Thank you Louise, we will never forget you and your wonderful hospitality.
The hostess and the ambiance of the place.
Accueil sympathique.
de familiaire atmosfeer: it felt like coming home.
This is an exceptional place. The host goes out of her way to create a wonderful ambience for meeting your fellow travelers for a delicious home cooked breakfast- don’t miss out! It’s also a short walk to the ferry that goes to Montreal. If you’re visiting Montreal and arrived by car, leaving your car in Longueuil and taking the ferry is a stress free & fun way to do it.
Nothing
Great location - can walk in 15min to the water shuttle to Montreal (every hour, only 6 dollar) - a lovely and cheap way to get downtown Delicious breakfast make with love by the hostess
The room was a bit messy; a mixture of all kind of things - felt very crowded and old fashioned Poor isolation between the room and the living room
I loved the location. Short ferry to downtown Montreal. But longueuil itself is so charming I loved evenings here also. The hosts are really nice. And the breakfasts were amazing. It felt very homely and I'd defo come back! The resident dog is very cute ❤️
Nothing.
Louise was a lovely host and served the best breakfasts! The location was fantastic with restaurants just across the street and an easy walk to the ferry to Old Montreal.
Excellent breakfasts in the garden. Good location for the ferry across to Quebec City. Pleasant helpful host
Nothing
Cosy atmosphere, delicious breakfast served in the garden, and a cute dog! We had a wonderful, comfortable stay. As we travelled without a car, we also appreciated the proximity of the ferry, which takes you right across to Montreal Old Town. I hugely recommend it!
Lovely quaint property. Great breakfast with fresh pastries and fruit, also eggs as a choice. Easy access to Montréal via bus and rail. Lots going on locally in easy walking distance.
The room is very comfortable, and the surrounding environment is quiet. The hosts are extremely warm and friendly, and prepare delicious breakfasts every day.
Our host's home was very comfortable, in a safe neighborhood where you could walk around even at nights and close to the bus and the river boat. Host lady was very lovely, always available, ready to help in any way and she made really good breakfast too that we ate in her garden. Overall, I would revisit and stay here again.
Nothing.
Quaint cottage.location was fantastic. Walking distance to the ferry shuttle to old Montreal. Marie was a lovely host. Breakfast was excellent.
A charming and characterful place that's conveniently located for the bars and restaurants of Longueuil. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and provides great coffee and beautiful breakfasts.
Louise, our host, was lovely! She was so attentive with our needs and the breakfasts were delicious! Our room was clean, had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The house is very charming and decorated by Louise with love and care. We already miss you and Sweppy! When we return to Montreal we will definitely book again! Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable!
Lovely historical home full of lots of charm.
LOVED my stay here. I’d choose this place over any fancy hotel any day. Louise (spelling?) was so nice and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious. Again, Louise made sure there were options for my 2 year old. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. We look forward to visiting again in the future!
Lovely
It's cozy, stylish, delicate, also very clean. The tiny squirrel garden is lovely.
IDEAL POUR VISITER MONTREAL PARKING PRIVE GRATUIT DANS LA RUE PAS BESOIN DE PRENDRE LA VOITURE NAVETTE FLUVIALE A 15 MINUTES PAS TRES CHERE PARFAIT
Quiet neighborhood and the host was so warm and welcoming
It’s not always easy to share a bathroom but it was always manageable
Very friendly hosts good continental breakfast and good location with relaxing garden
Personally it was fine for me quaint and olde worlde with character rooms may not be for everyone
Louise was very attentive and helpful, she provided excellent breakfasts. The room was so cozy and everything was very clean. The garden was also a highlight, absolutely recommendable B&B
The host was lovely and so friendly. Close to the ferry and all that Montreal offers.
Very accommodating hosts. Wonderful backyard patio with continental breakfast served every morning. We were free to make our own coffee and serve ourselves. It was excellent, the food and the lovely garden. The room had everything in it that we needed.
TV is limited with no streaming access. Room and house are quite dark and lighting could be improved.
Great location, nearby restaurants, grocery shop, bus stop. Great hosts, tasty breakfast served.
So clean and comfortable and close to metro for downtown.
Lovely cottage in a great neighborhood outside of Montreal. The staff were really kind and we loved coming back home every day during our trip. There is a small garden area out back that we enjoyed sitting in and eating meals. The shared bathroom worked great for us. The main street nearby has a number of great restaurants, bars, supermarket, etc. We hope to come again!
Charming old stone storybook house, sweet and friendly proprietors. It has the feel of a youth hostel, with a little outside garden, piano, shared bath and kitchen access. You get to old town via a walk and metro ride, and it's just fine if you are not in a rush. The vieux neigborhood surrounding the 'refuge' is interesting and there's a walking path nearby where you can see all the people who live here walking their dogs and so on....delightful!
Host was very nice and place was super clean. Very dog friendly and all dogs well behaved. About a mile walk to the nearest metro line and near to excellent places to eat and a good supermarket. Parking included and lots of great homey amenities
None
Design of the room, arts, tranquility, and home-like atmosphere of the room. It was a pleasure to stay there.
Such a great stay in an adorable little house. Nice area, quite central, not far from downtown Montreal. There is lots to see and do walking distance from the hotel. The staff are wonderful. The place is quiet and clean. Couldn't ask for more for the value.
This is a really charming place with a very kind and nice host. The place is steps away to nice restaurants, walking and cycling area. Some downsides of an old house are that rooms are small (at least mine was), with tiny fridge and tiny table, no ventilation in the room or in the shared bathroom (so it can only be controlled by opening/closing windows), water drainage in the sink and the bathroom could be improved as well.
Nice easy to reach location, welcoming host and room was offering anything a traveler may require
Strange smell (odor of cleaning or air refresher)
Very French
Could be better lighting
Best base to have between Montreal (metro Longueuil) and the south shore. Beautiful old house with all conveniences walking distance. Owner is super helpful and easygoing. Highly recommended if you need a spot on the south shore…
