Lovely location on the beachfront.

Didn't cater for English guests. Very German orientated. Noone spoke much English at all.

The place is nice by all means but ALL IS IN GERMAN !! Animation for children, signs, language, all, it is like taking the wrong plane and landing in Germany. You HAVE TO advertise this, simply that. Are you german, then good place to go. Are you not german, then do not go.

Die Anlage ist sehr gross und hat viele Angebote. Das Zimmer mit Meerblick ist traumhaft. Ich konnte auf meinem Balkon "sünnele" und nicht genug vom schönenen Meerblick bekommen. Ich habe diese Ruhe sehr genossen. Die Auswahl am Buffet ist riesig und fein allerdings könnte es mehr vegetarische Alternativen geben. Mit Alternativen meine ich nicht nur Gemüse, sondern Tofu oder Vegi Schnitzel etc...

Leider wurde beim Zimmerputzen den Dreck einfach auf den Balkon gewischt. Das Warmwasser war nach 5 Minuten bereits kalt. Beim Buchen war mir nicht bewusst, dass man für viele kleine Dinge extra bezahlen muss (Fitness, Seife?...) Auch für die Getränke am Abend musste ich bezahlen, trotzdem Halbpension, davon hörte ich beim Einchecken zum ersten Mal. Die Küche ist nicht gut ausgestattet für zum selberkochen, war zum Glück nicht notwendig, da das Essen am Buffet fein war.

The hotel is large and we had the 1st floor (2 flights of stairs) room with kitchenette. I think we were the only british speaking holiday makers except for a guest we met from london the day before we left. The room itself was basic but clean. Entertainment, tv and most literature was in German or Spanish!! Food was bland and not much variety for vegans or anyone on a gluten free diet!! Plus side was our balcony was a perfect spot for sunbathing. Staff did not always speak English so communication was challenging. The resort would suit german spanish, dutch holiday makers. We will not be returning!!

It was just nice to get away and get some warm sunshine. We both had a relaxing time.

Disapointed with the beach . We were told that the tide had washed most of the sand away.

Leider nimmt Jahr um Jahr, die Qualität des Essens ab

Die Lage der Apartments war toll, mit Verbindungstür dazwischen und Terrasse direkt am Pool. Für Urlaub mit Kindern unbezahlbar. Zudem haben wir den Pool vor der Terrasse gehabt wo es schön ruhig war, ohne ständige Animation, das mögen wir nämlich alle nicht so. Für den Erholungswert war es unbezahlbar und die Kinder hatten viel Spaß auf dem Spielplatz und im Kids Club.. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen und das Abendbuffet war ebenfalls sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich.

Lage, Zimmer, Hotelanlage

Zdecydowanie na plus było wyżywienie: duży wybór, bardzo smaczne. Wieczory tematyczne np. Wieczór meksykański, włoski, etc. Sklepik na terenie ośrodka również bardzo ok, zarówno jeśli chodzi o asortyment jak i ceny. Basen ok, ale ciężko o wolne leżaki.

Na minus: brak klimatyzacji w pokoju, brak czajnika. Serwis sprzątający przez cały tygodniowy pobyt był tylko 2 razy.

Obiekt dość rozległy i blisko plaży, jednak plaża trochę kamienista ale z 5 minut piechotą jest fajna plaża. Dwa baseny przyzwoitych rozmiarów, leżaki jeżeli nie zarezerwujecie z rana to nie ma co liczyć, dość mocno zużyte i zabrudzone średnia przyjemność na nich leżeć. Z jedzenia korzystaliśmy z śniadań i kolacji. Śniadania codziennie to samo ale każdy coś wybierze dla siebie, kolacje nieco zmieniane, ogólnie z Turcją nie do porównania ale głodni nie będziecie chodzić. Goście to faktycznie głównie Niemcy, ale spokojnie najważniejsze sprawy można załatwić po angielsku.

Największy minus to brak klimatyzacji w pokojach na co nie zwróciliśmy uwagi przed rezerwacją więc jeśli dostaniecie pokój na parterze to współczuję. Mimo rezerwacji pokoju z widokiem na ocean dostaliśmy pokój na parterze w drugiej linii gdzie przy wyjściu na balkon gdzieś w oddali między budynkami można było dostrzec niewielki kawałek oceanu. Całe szczęście po rozmowie w recepcji pokój wymieniono nam na taki w pierwszej linii i widok był ekstra. Łóżka dla dzieci mało wygodne te dla dorosłych ok, ale pościel ma bardzo nieprzyjemny zapach potu.

Nice for a low key relaxing holiday. Activities and food geared towards German tourists but still plenty to do and u had a relaxing time

Das Sotavento ist hervorragend und ich werde wieder kommen und es weiter empfehlen für mich gibt es absolut nichts zu meckern.

8 Tage All-Inclusive mit meinen erwachsenen Kindern Mitte Mai, wir hatten alle Erholung dringend nötig. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, alles sauber und funktional und ansprechend. Kurze Wege zum Sandstrand. Die Zimmer geräumig und mit großen Balkonen ausgestattet, mit hatten wunderschönen seitlichen Meerblick. Ein 2. Pool ohne Animation war für uns der Platz zum entspannen. Herausragend gut das All-In Buffet. Sehr abwechlungsreich und gute Qualität. Das mehrfache Highlight jeden Tages. Zusätzlich IMMER aufmerksames, freundliches und deutschsprachiges Personal. Und auch die Abendunterhaltung und das Sportangebot hat uns gut gefallen. Alles in allem ein ganz toller Urlaub und das Hotel eine klare Empfehlung.

Very beautiful compound, well maintained, beautiful garden and flower arrangement. The playground is in a good condition. The food was fine; but we realized that for us breakfast would have been sufficient; as you don’t experience the canary island food if you eat at the buffet every evening

Customer service was not really present; very rude reception; at check out no one asked if we liked the Stay. Room cleaning is done in 5 mins; bedsheets were not changed and mattress was very dirty. Everything is charged extra (Gym), deposit for towels. The beach in front of the hotel not suitable for kids (you have to walk a bit to reach a stone free beach). No lunch options at the hotel if you’re on Half Board

Very close to ocean, clean room. Nice swimming pool. Lot of activities. Very delicious meals, grate choice even for children.

Extra payment for drinks at dinner (for half board). It wasn't clearly described. Maybe we would choose all inclusive if we knew it.

Great all-inclusive buffet, nice beach location, easy to get to, parking, nice pool and sunbeds.

Most activities were extra and harder to access for the teenagers.

Eine sehr schöne Anlage, die einen gepflegten Eindruck macht. Die Zimmer haben Appartementcharakter mit kleiner Küche, Kühlschrank und einem großen Balkon. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. An der Rezeption gibt es auch deutschsprachige Mitarbeiter.

Hervor zu heben ist das gesamte Sotavento-Team. Immer freundlich, stets motiviert und sehr familienfreundlich. Ein besonderes Lob gilt dem Animationsteam. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Very nice view from the balcony!

I was lucky enough to be given a room overlooking the sea which was beautiful and the balcony was great. The location was good and the hotel was well maintained. The breakfast was also good.

I found it difficult to be comfortable as it was mainly a German hotel and was only catered for people who were German. I couldn't join in with any of the activities and I probably would have chosen somewhere else to stay. There were so many kids at the hotel it was overwhelming and noisy. The room could have provided shower gel at a minimum..

Very good value for money. Nice rooms and facillities. Good location, lots of places to go from here. The Hotel made a special christmas dinner which was really nice.

Good location, nice beach, a generous food offer. Convenient quite area, not far from OASIS wildlife park (on a car).

99% of audience is German, keep this in mind. Though we didn't have any problems because of that, all personal spoke English well with us.

Schöne auf Familien ausgerichtete große Ferienanlage auf höhenmäßig mehreren Ebenen. Dadurch viele Treppen oder Rampen zu überwinden um die verschiedenen Einrichtungen zu erreichen. Die meisten Apartements sind in 3 geschossigen Gebäuden. Wir hatten ein Erdgeschossapartement mit Terasse ca 15m vom Pool ohne Animation. (Perfekt für mich als Person die schlecht läuft) Da wir uns nicht selbst verpflegt haben kann ich über die Ausstattung der Küche nicht viel sagen da wir nur den Kühlschrank und die Kaffeemaschine benutzt haben. Beides hat perfekt funktioniert. Die Matratzen waren für uns etwas hart, aber wir haben gut darauf geschlafen. Die Verpflegung (Büffet) ist gut und die Auswahl enorm. Wir hatten Halbpension. Das Restaurant "Bar Teide" etwas oberhalb vom Pool mit Animation bietet sehr gute Qualität bei wie ich meine sehr günstigen Preisen. Die zweite Bar am oberen Pool haben wir nicht besucht. Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und ich glaube alle sprechen mindestens drei Sprachen. (deutsch, englisch und spanisch fließend) Das gilt auch für alle anderen Mitarbeiter die wir während unserem Aufenthalt kontaktiert haben. Für mich und meine Frau ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Tolles Hotel zum entspannen.

This has to be one of my best holidays magaluf is amazing but the sotavente hotel was amazing the staff were the receptionists were amazing the rooms were immaculate and the pool area is immaculate I took my two sons and their friends they are young and I'm 61 but I felt like a 21 year old thanks to the way I was treated by the pool staff I wS gob smacked .Antonio is so funny he kept calling me shaggy and made us feel special what a credit to tourism and amillia and naza are the two most beautiful and friendly bar/witnesses I have ever met absolutely beyond expectations I advise any young or older people to go to this resort if they go to magaluf all my sincerity Stuart manchester I have included some photos

The beach was just a few minutes walking

It was not very inclusive. All was in German. Menus, tv, animation. I understand that it is targeting the German market but not even the local language. We are English and Spanish speakers and we did struggle to communicate. I found that not great especially if you are in Spain.

Tasty food with good choice every day, we liked the national flavors and welcome drinks

The noisy neighboring building is an absolute disaster. Seems like their ventilation box on the roof is not properly sound isolated and they simply do not care (or no one cared to ask to fix it). They switch off the noisy engine on the roof at night at least, but during the day every day is a source of disappointment about the whole area. Please approach them to demand a noise reduction fixture and report back. This is the neighbor building to the right if you look to the sea (its facing the sea), but you should notice the constant noise from the Sotavento rooms on the right.

Very good quality and location next to the beach. Excellent value for money. Very friendly staff. Excellent food, both breakfast and dinner. Good, spacious apartments.

Well, if I want to be picky, I’d say that lack of parking on site is a minus, but that’s hard to fix given the location and there’s no problem in parking on the street (at least in January). Also, it’s be good to be informed upon check in on which days the room is not cleaned (including Sundays), so that you can plan in advance with the towels, etc.

No complaints up until the incident at dinner. I tried to make a cup of tea to eat with a desert, when a member of stuff grabbed a cup from my hands and another member shouted that tea is only for breakfast. When asked to speak to manager I was ignored. I then went to reception to ask for the general manager, however I was told they cant contact him/her. In general, everyone at the restaurant was very aggressive in the way they talked and how they tried to enforce the rules like no tea drinking at the dinner, even though tea and hot water was on the display at the buffet , and no signs were there to inform that it is only reserved for breakfast. Similarly often quite aggressive in how they enforce partial closures of the restaurant before the official restaurant closing time when staff decides they want to start cleaning the area early. As a result, last hour of dinner and breakfast, half of the restaurant is closed and is being loudly cleaned which makes you feel as if you are already sitting past the working hours even though that is not remotely the case. This is a shame, given how friendly the reception stuff is most of the time and the location of the hotel is very good.

Fantastic location ! Great views from the Balcony/. A great selection of dishes for breakfast and dinner and the Christmas special dinner was amazing. The rooms are nice and clean and comfortable for three. Lots of free parking space outside the premises.

Spacious apartment with an excellent balcony.

The building has no sound isolation. The hair drier was in a very dangerous condition.

The location is good since it is very close to the beach. The view of the sea was very nice.

*There was essential information which was not conveyed to us at reception or anywhere else e.g. dress code on certain on Christmas day for dinner, the need to keep a certain piece of paper for the restaurant, confusing information about the laundry arrangements. *The kitchen is tired and only minimal. Not even a microwave is provided. *The shower hot water was barely enough for two quick showers definitely not for a family even of three... *The shower room smells of sewage. *Lack of privacy there is a resort walking path in front of the rooms. *Restaurant - food was not impressive at all. Tap water for drinking not provided. *Information centre hours of operations are quite limited.

This resort caters only for German and Spanish speaking guests, very few of the employees, especially the servers can speak or understand English. No one was able to explain how things work and lead to us being treated in a humiliating way on several occasions

Big fat Zero. Looked at booking flights home after first day. Food is well below par. Apartments are old tatty and smell. You are charged for water with your meal on halfboard. Staff do not speak English.all signs and information in Spanish or German only. Absolute kip stay clear.

Very good resort, excellent location, nice accommodation, amazing dinner but average breakfast(always same things). The resort is very nice and also all the apartments are good. The dinner has a good choice, with the majority of dishes very good and some also excellent, but the breakfast is quite boring, with few things being good, all the pastry is very poor, same for ham, sausages and eggs. The beach is nice with good hikes on your doorstep. Most of the guests are Germans and overall is a good and safe environment.

This hotel is nice and clean. Food is amazing, plenty of choice and freshly prepared. Even some good glutenfree options! There are two pools with enough sunbeds, and there is also direct access to the beach. Staff is friendly and fluent in Spanish and German, probably English too. Animation team is very active and working hard to make it a lovely stay for all guests. When we were there, mostly German and Dutch guests. We booked a room with sea view, which is absolutely worth the extra cost as the view is really nice, but you really cannot go wrong if you book one of the other rooms as it is so close to the beach anyway. Rooms were nice, although the furniture could use an update. Sofabed was really uncomfortable and would be the only negative comment that I would make to an otherwise lovely holiday!

I was at the hotel for wingfoil lessons on the beach. The walk to instructors and rentals was under 5 minutes. Hotel was clean, orderly and well-maintained. Staff were all personable.

Great hotel with great service and friendly staff. Antonio has been a massive help throughout the holiday, answering any questions we need and helping us with anything that we needed. Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Have been here a number of times and have loved every single stay. The location is perfect. The rooms are large and well furnished. Each room has a well equipped kitchenette and balconies are large with every one of them having a great view, wether the beach or the large pool areas. Lots of food options at all meals. I’m pescatarian and there’s always plenty of choice. This trip was for just me and my partner but I’m bringing my daughters here again this summer. Costa Calma has unlimited perfect beaches that are never crowded. A constant breeze means you rarely overheat and is perfect for kitesurfing, windsurfing, etc.

Nothing. - It’s worth noting that this hotel is set up for German travellers so all entertainment is in German. I don’t speak German and have never had a problem with this. I love the vibe and culture of here.

1. So strange: Exceptional buffet but no real fruit juice. Only fake stuff - sugar water or water with sweetener. Please keep it neutral - why safe on these essentials? 2. A bit cheap: In house gym- which is small but ok - you have to pay 5€ for use. Dear hotel: an in house gym is supposed to be few for your paying guests.

I love the layout of the hotel. every room gets a view, either pool or the sea. It has a great little gym and two lovely pools. The rooms large and well laid out.

Grate food, good selection. Amazing view from the apartment. Nice clean big apartment. Excellent terrace. A lot of free activities for the kids and adults (mini golf, tennis, sandboxes, soccer and more ...)

Poorly equipped kitchen, there should be at least basic cleaning equipment, so that you can wash the dishes. WiFi was on and off.

Lovely place to stay with family.Everything very clean. Lots activities for kids nice new area. Food is good lots of choices. Two heated pools which was amazing in December. Definitely will be back.

This hotel I liked. I had an apartment. Very clean. A cool bedroom, slept well, needed no air-condition. A well equipped kitchenette, living-room a stair-step down with comfortable sofa and a TV (with also German and English channels, not only Spanish). A large balcony with chairs, table and sun lounger. One reason that I chosed this hotel was for the activities, for example fitness classes, which were even better than I expected. The gym was small, but had enough equipment to make me satisfied. I booked breakfast and dinner, which both were buffet, with a lot to chose from. Great. The staff was nice! The complex was situated right at the beach. I also liked that the two pools were in different places, one pool was reserved for relaxation, no playing or other disturbing noise there. Good value for money.

The gentleman at the reception desk during check-in could be nicer and at least a little smiling. The rest of the hotel team is wonderful!

Internet access in our room was very patchy, rarely lasting for more than a few seconds, so we had to go to the reception area to obtain a reliable signal.

Wij verbleven hier met kerst en oud jaar. Het is een gezellig familie resort. Het appartement was schoon, netjes en de bedden waren prima. Eten was zowel bij ontbijt als diner genoeg keuze. Ook aan verse groente. Heerlijk weer gehad. Wij komen zeker terug!!

We loved our trip to Fuertenventura. The hotel was as expected and our view was beautiful. Our only complaint about the hotel was the food. It was not fresh food. We wish we had just gotten the breakfast plan or no plan at all. The apartment has a kitchen and there is at least one restaurant close by. We did eat at the bar one time for lunch and it was very nice. In general the island is not so pretty but the beach and ocean were lovely. We enjoyed our two boat trips from Morro Jable. Both companies picked up close to our hotel. The drive over to the west coast is only 15 minutes and has some amazing beaches. But if you want a lush green island, look elsewhere!

Zimmer waren ok, jedoch nicht sauber. all inclusive Angebote waren mässig.

Wieder eine sehr toller Aufenthalt. Diesmal nach mehr als 10 Jahre Pause ohne Kinder. Die Wünsche zur Unterkunft, die von uns bei der Buchung angegeben wurden waren alle erfüllt.

Beautiful structure but with unwelcoming staff, perhaps a little for our Italian origin. Good buffet breakfast and dinner.

La descripción en hoteles.com no coincide con lo que el hotel ofrecía. El desayuno Bufé gratis no está incluido ( gratuito según hoteles.com) si no se reserva media pensión o pensión completa. Recomiendo indiquen también que el gimnasio es de pago también si solo se elige alojamiento. Por lo demás, todo bien. Me permitieron hacer checkout mas tarde

Wir haben uns sofort wie zuhause gefühlt! Das Essen könnte etwas besser sein!

Fijne combinatie van de voorzieningen van een hotel op een appartementencomplex, zeker een aanrader. Vrijwel alle gasten zijn Duits, maar wat mij betreft niet storend. Gasten waren rustig en sociaal. Wel zou het hotel meer in het Engels kunnen communiceren (naast Duits en Spaans), zoals de bordjes bij het buffet. Ontbijt meer dan prima, diner soms wat weinig keus, maar kwalitatief goed. Appartement was ruim en schoon. Douche is de enige tegenvaller; warm water raakt snel op. Locatie aan het strand is mooi, maar (vrijwel) geen leuke restaurantjes op loopafstand. Wij hadden een huurauto om het eiland te verkennen, waardoor dat geen groot probleem was.
