Lovely rooftop pool and good location just by Fort Kochi

It is strange to have a kitchen and dining room set up but absolutely no plates, bowls, cutlery, cups etc or cloth to clean the table/dustpan and brush for the floor. Over the days we stayed we were provided with bowls, plates, cutlery, cups and a kettle and we bought washing up liquid and a dishcloth ourselves. But if these things were just provided from the beginning it would make the stay so much more comfortable and practical! And if they don’t want to provide everything in every room they could leave a list of items available that guests could take down to reception when they arrive and ask for what they need. It really would make all the difference.

Il ne propose pas de petit déjeuner ni de restaurant mais le Cozy spoon juste à côté est délicieux !

Sehr großes und top sauberes Zimmer, das Bad war ebenfalls sehr sauber, sehr gute Lage (zentral in Fort Kochi und trotzdem ruhig), sehr freundliches und gut englisch sprechendes Personal (einer sprach sogar auch etwas Deutsch)

החדר המשפחתי ענק ממש כמו דירת 3 חדרים שמכילה שני חדרי שינה עם שירותים ומקלחת צמודים לכל אחד. מיקום המלון מצוין, המים במקלחת היו חמים והמזגנים עבדו מעולה. אנשי הצוות היו מאוד שירותיים ונעימים. הילדים נהנו מהבריכה וביקשו להכנס אליה בכל יום.

חבל שהמסעדה במלון לא עובדת, היינו מעדיפים לאכול ארוחת בוקר במלון ולהזמין בה שתיה/אוכל כשהילדים בבריכה. כמו כן, יש כביכול מטבח בחדר אבל אין שום כלים ולא ניתן להכין שם כלום.

Clean facility, kind and courteous staff. Great location

I liked everything about this place. Comfortable, homely feel. The staff are exceptional, friendly, helpful, welcoming and the most kindest people I have met, so far. I miscounted my cash for the driver who drove me to the airport, I sent a request to the hotel if I could make a transaction through them to pay the remaining money to the driver, I received a message back to say that they had taken care of the issue and wished me safe travels and were only concerned about me in my travels. All I can say is Thank you and I will definitely be back to stay in the future. 🙏🏽❤️👌🏼

Cerraban la terraza y la piscina muy pronto.

la homestay est très bien placée, proche des petits restaurants et de la zone "touristique". La chambre était confortable et plutôt atypique dans sa configuration :)

La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas, nous avons pu uniquement utiliser les ventilateurs ce qui n'était pas suffisant vu la chaleur ! Cela a fortement impacté notre nuit à tous les 4.

Die Lage ist super und die Zimmer sind speziell wenn man als Familie oder wie wir als 2 Pärchen reist sehr gut (2 Zimmer mit 2 Badezimmern bilden dann fast eine kleine Wohnung). Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Kein Frühstück obwohl es eigentlich eine überdachte Dachterrasse gab. Pool auf dem Dach ohne Sonnenschutz.

Mooi ruim en schoon appartement. Leuke restaurants en de waterkant binnen 5 min. lopen.

המטבח לא מאובזר בכלל בכלל אז אין באמת אפשרות לבשל או להכין משהו.

Lovely entrance and open spaces especially the atrium. Well maintained and very comfortable. The roof top pool is fabulous and comfortable. Great location for Fort Kochi shopping, sights and restaurants. Staff very nice.

Accueil très sympathique, piscine sur le toit, possibilité de commander un diner en livraison et de diner dans un salon en dehors de la chambre, situation géographique parfaite pour visiter Fort Cochin.

Hotel de petite taille (14 chambres), agréable parfaitement situé , dans une petite rue très calme à proximité de la cathédrale, idéal pour visiter Fort Kochi à pied.La piscine permet de se rafraîchir, frigidaire et ventilateur dans les chambres, je n’ai pas eu besoin d’utiliser la AC. Le personnel y est accueillant, présent 24h/24,et si vous réservez 2 chambres, vous disposez d’un espace commun privatif !

Pas de petit déjeuner sur place mais il y a restaurants peu éloignés qui en proposent … Hôtel moderne, de bonne facture qui n’a pas un charme fou mais efficace et facile à vivre

Great location for exploring Kochi! Rooms are very spacious. AC and fan function very well.

Quite basic rooms, bed is fairly uncomfortable, struggled to get hot water working. Felt a little expensive for the price given these elements. Overall it’s great if you’re planning on being busy and exploring Kochi.

We stayed at Fort Abode for 3 weeks during the Biennale in Fort Kochi. We booked a single room at a very reasonable price. The hotel was in a prime location for easy access to town. Although the hotel does not provide food, there is a vast array of cafes and restaurants very nearby. The hotel rooms were kept extremely clean, water was provided daily with tea making facilities and a fridge on request. The swimming pool was a great bonus with a view of the Basilica. The hotel felt very safe and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Taxis to and from the airport were arranged through the hotel as were some of the day trips we went on.

Very basic and budget apartment hotel.

I liked the friendliness of the staff, and the ease of booking in when we arrived. The staff came out to help withy our bags and to our room. I also like the roof top pool.

Some food and beverage facilities would have been better, as there is nowhere on site (even a vending machine for cold drinks and snacks). The restaurant is not open.

The room and location were excellent and staff was helpful too. Only draw back is there isn't any breakfast. At the least they should provide tea (chai) in the room on request. It will make a big difference to the stay.

The room wasn’t that large. There was a sort of dining room attached (shared with another room) but we weren’t sure if we could use it.

The location is excellent: it’s quiet and yet nearby the centre of Fort Kochi

Location is brilliant- right in the middle of Fort Kochi. Minutes walk from great restaurants, art cafes, Karthakali etc Staff lovely and accommodating- arranged us a taxi from the airport. Rooms super clean and comfortable- we had a family suite with 2 rooms together and living space- all rooms with tv which was great when 2 of our party weren’t feeling well and just wanted to chill. Even a swimming pool on the roof!

Cleanliness location and hospitality is top notch

Great all rounder. Good location 10 minutes walk from the beach and Chinese fishing nets. The rooms are simple and spotless and have all you need, beds comfy. Kindly provide water. The pool on the roof is lovely to cool off and relax with the sounds of the city. Most of all the staff are fantastic. They will help at every turn. They arranged an airport transfer for us and the taxi was waiting when we were through immigration. The 1.5hour trip cost us around £22! Recommend this service. They also helped arrange our onward trip on a stunning Houseboat from Kumarakom around the backwaters and transport to get there. If you pay cash and book through Abode you’ll get a better rate than anything you see online. Highly recommend a couple nights stay here to get your bearings.

Amazing location (walk able from local attractions) and friendly staff, rooms and bathrooms were clean and well furnished

Full of mosquitos, no fridge, very minimal toilet paper (fully aware these are culture fricitions i know). Just a big double window on the "main corridor", so no privacy if you keep the curtains open entrance a bit hidden on a small street, difficult to access for taxis noisy at night, don't know what kind of constructions were going on at night

An apartment hotel with basic amenities but super clean , huge apartments AC and simple clean toilets. Location is best. No restaurant / food but everything is walkable

It was good value for money. This was all I wanted. A comfortable bedroom with an En-suite that was well located and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is not a hotel per se, no dining facilities but it had everything you need. My flight was 3 hours late but the staff waited until 1.15AM to check me in, with a smiling face to greet me. Gold!

La situation est idéale. Mais vraiment le prix n est pas justifié pour ce prix on doit avoir un service exemplaire. Malheureusement j ai du demander une bouilloire car j avais une suite avec une cuisine qui en fait est une pièces avec un frigo c est la tv ne fonctionnait pas et le ventilateur ne marchait que au maximum autant dire que il faisait carrément froid mais sans c est trop chaud et humide

Je m attendais pour le prix a bien mieux !

Beautiful building and staff

הצוות מאוד אדיב ונחמד, עזר לנו עם החלפת כסף, טיול בעיר ועם נהג ליעד הבא. החדר מאוד גדול, שני חדרים נפרדים וסלון ענק באמצע. המיקום של המלון במרחק הליכה מהנמל ומהמסעדות.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Beds were great.The location was perfect for taking walks and convenient to shops restaurants and places of interest. The pool was wonderful when needing some relaxing downtime. Cannot praise the staff enough, they were very polite and helpful. Organized a tuk tuk for us and helped my husband with his immobility. And the lift is worth a mention too, made me happy everytime I used it. A must stay if we return to Fort Kochi. Thank you Fort Abode for an amazing stay. It has had an upgrade in the foyer since marketing photos, but looks so much nicer!!

Das Personal war äußerst zuvorkommend und ausgesprochen freundlich. Der Check-in war problemlos und ohne großen Aufwand. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und sehr sauber. Der Pool war gepflegt und wir haben ihn gern in unseren Pausen vom Sightseeing genutzt. Die Lage ist exzellent.

L'appartement était spacieux et propre.

Attention plusieurs informations fausses sur Booking et je vous conseille de refuser de payer avant d'avoir pu visiter les chambres et tester l'eau chaude et la climatisation. Il n'y a qu'une seule piscine et elle est bien extérieur comme on le voit sur les photos et non intérieur comme indiqué sur la page équipements. La "kitchenette" est plus une salle à manger et n'est pas équipée du tout. Il y a juste un frigo (nous en avions 2 mais un seul fonctionnait). Pas de plaques de cuissons, de micro-onde ni même d'ustensiles de cuisine. Ils nous ont juste emmené une assiette par personne et idem pour les couverts. Nous avons aussi eu le droit à une bouilloire mais la seule prise disponible pour la brancher était loin de toutes les surfaces, nous avons dû déplacer une table de chevet. D'ailleurs toutes les pièces manquaient cruellement de prises électriques, nous avons dû débrancher la télé dans les chambres pour charger nos portables. Ils annoncent aussi une navette gratuite depuis l'aéroport avant la réservation mais cela n'est plus visible une fois la réservation faite, et pour cause ils n'ont pas de service de navette. Mais surtout nous n'avions de l'eau chaude que dans une seule des salles de bain et avons donc dû nous partager cette salle de bain à 4 l'autre étant inutilisable (nous avions pris la chambre familiale avec deux chambres, deux salles de bains et un espace commun salon/salle à manger). Ils ont refusé de nous changer de chambre en prétextant qu'ils étaient complets alors que tout le dernier étage était disponible et qu'il y avait deux chambres familiales notées comme disponibles sur Booking pour nos dates. Il y avait des chambres identiques à la nôtre à l'étage supérieur qui sont restées disponibles pendant tout notre séjour (nous ne demandions pas à être surclassé mais seulement à avoir ce pour quoi nous avions payé).

I had a delightful stay at Fort Abode, Fort Kochi on 12th September. The location is perfect – right in the heart of Fort Kochi, close to charming sights, cafes, art galleries, and the Chinese fishing nets. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and cozy with elegant decor. What impressed me most was the warm, friendly staff who made me feel safe and went the extra mile with helpful local tips. A truly memorable and comfortable stay – highly recommended!

The only thing I felt was missing during my stay was food availability at the hotel, especially authentic Kochi dishes. I would highly recommend having a small cafeteria offering memorable Kochi seafood specialties – it would make the experience even more complete.

The rooms were very clean and the place was very close to the main attraction. A swimming pool on the terrace was a bonus. The staff was also very polite and friendly. A very nice vegetarian restaurant " Ananad bhavan " was like 1 minute walk away. The staff arranged an all exclusive taxi service for us.

I loved everything. I was travelling with kids so the one thing which would have made it even better was an option of re-heating food and some kettle/ cutlery. There was a fridge to store food but there was nothing to heat it back.

The laundry service was convenient but very expensive.

La verdad es que fue todo fantástico! Muy buena ubicación, andando de todo pero en una calle muy tranquila. El personal SÚPER AMABLE. La cama cómoda. TV con smart TV. Tienen piscina aunque no la utilice. Las habitaciones tienen un espacio compartido con mesa y unos asientos

Las hamacas de la piscina son de cemento, no muy cómodas. La zona compartida entre habitaciones si te tocan vecinos poco respetuoso con el ruido, puede ser un poco molesto. Yo no tuve problema pero es algo a tener en cuenta.

La ubicación es inmejorable hay muchos restaurantes alrededor. Las habitaciones están muy limpias y la cama es muy cómoda.

No nos dejaron pagar con tarjeta y nos cobraron una barbaridad por lavarnos la ropa. 25 euros por lavar una simple bolsa de ropa.
