Reviewed Sep 14, 2026We got there early and room was ready which was very much appreciated after a long flight from Australia. The staff were excellent. There is a set of stairs before you get to the lift level but the staff were more than happy to help with luggage. The are a number of excellent restaurants within a 2 minute walk for meals and a number of supermarkets. Beds were comfy and shower was good. Location was excellent.
The only downside was we got one of the rooms where the bed is in a smaller alcove, this made in difficult to get to the room safe which was beside the bed. This did not impact on our overall enjoyment.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Excellent Location, Spacious Family Room & Outstanding Staff I had a fantastic stay at Tribu Malasaña and honestly couldn’t have made a better last-minute choice. I booked the hotel at short notice and had no regrets whatsoever. The location is excellent — it’s within easy walking distance of many of Madrid’s main tourist attractions, restaurants, shops and landmarks, making it a great base for exploring the city without constantly relying on taxis or public transport. We stayed in a family room, which was very spacious and comfortable. The room was equipped with everything we needed, especially for a longer stay — a microwave, coffee machine, kettle, fridge and cutlery, which made it feel much more like a home away from home. Above all, the staff were exceptional. Everyone we encountered was extremely helpful, courteous and friendly, and they always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and looked after. A special mention to Roxana and Sandra, who were both incredibly helpful, welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Their service really made a difference and deserves recognition. Overall, Tribu Malasaña exceeded my expectations, especially considering it was a last-minute booking. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Madrid and would happily recommend it to families and anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel with genuinely great staff. Definitely a hotel of choice for my next Madrid visit!

- •Spacious rooms with comfortable beds
- •Well-equipped kitchenette and in-room amenities
- •Complimentary welcome gestures (bottle of wine)
- •Quiet and well-maintained property for most guests
Areas to consider
- •Occasional external noise through windows; glazing could be thicker
- •Isolated service lapses (deactivated key, missed housekeeping items)
- •Small wardrobe/storage for two people in some rooms
- •Accessibility: stairs before lift may challenge mobility-impaired guests
- •Missing small kitchen utensils (large knife, scissors) reported
- •Occasional TV malfunctions reported
Cleanliness
9.6/10Multiple reviews explicitly praise cleanliness and daily cleaning; isolated report of a forgotten cleaning cloth and an accidental left bin but overall rooms described as very clean.
Service
9/10Staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful and attentive (24h reception mentioned), but a guest reported repeated key deactivations and missed housekeeping items, so service is strong overall with some notable lapses.
Location
9.9/10Location is repeatedly highlighted as excellent — central, within walking distance of major sights, close to metro and shops — a major positive across reviews.
Room Quality
9.3/10Rooms frequently noted as spacious, comfortable beds and well-equipped (kitchenette, fridge, coffee maker); minor negatives include small wardrobe for two and occasional TV issues.
Amenities
9.2/10Room amenities (kitchenette, coffee machine, microwave, toiletries, AC) are appreciated; some guests missed specific utensils (large knife, scissors) and one report of TV malfunction.
Value for Money
9.5/10Guests consistently report satisfaction and willingness to return or recommend, indicating strong perceived value.
Food and Beverage
9/10Very limited F&B comments aside from a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival; no on-site restaurant feedback — positive but sparse mentions.
Overall Experience
9.7/10Overall sentiment is highly positive: many 'excellent', 'amazing', and 'would return' comments. Small, isolated issues (noise, minor service errors, limited wardrobe) did not heavily detract from guests' stays.
