Stayed before, good location to get in the to main town. Lake views are amazing.

The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful even moving to a more accessable room at no extra charge. The food was simple but excellent with room service if required. The spa treatments were really good, even with the therapist off sick they sent another from a sister hotel so my bookings were not cancelled. I would definately book again.

There were 7 floors from top to bottom but they did not have a lift which was a issue for me as I have a problem with my legs.

Hairs/stains on bed cushions (thicker cushions not bed pillows) visible when we first arrived. Rust in shower. Unclean room made me uncomfortable. Too expensive for what was on offer as refurbishment construction was an eyesore also.

Nice too see the hotel has been refurbished since my last visit very smart ! The food was excellent as was the staff . All said I can not fault our stay. Certainly recommend to our friends.

The position on the lake and the view from our room was really good. The breakfast was great too and the spa was well done.

Our room, especially the bathroom, was tired and in need of an upgrade. It was also quite stuffy, even though we had the patio door open. What was disappointing was their policy to only clean the room every other day. Nothing wrong in that I suppose, seeing as we’re not untidy people, but when they didn’t do it after three days we were running out of things like toilet roll and teabags and we had to ask. That wasn’t impressive.

The interior of the property was extremely well maintained, and both the rooms and public areas were very pleasant. The lake view from the restaurant and room was breathtaking, and both the reception area and spa were lovely. The staff were absolutely brilliant from start to finish.

It’s a shame that there is still construction work going on at the rear of the property that might dampen the mood for some. However, noise was minimal and as long as you didn’t keep looking for it within your view and stayed away from the rear parking lot you could ignore it altogether.

Lovely hotel with amazing views. Clean and very comfortable. The staff were lovely. Particular mention for the 2 young guys behind the bar and managing food service, who were welcoming and so helpful. They made it seem like nothing was a bother.

There are a lot of stairs and no lift. While we were there work was being done on the spa, although this was dealt with very well.

I stayed here for my partners 40th, I wanted somewhere with excellent views and a nice room and in a good location and this place did not disappoint. The staff were all so so friendly and helpful, the views were beautiful and my room was fantastic and clean. The facilities were top and we also stayed for the breakfast which was one of the best I have had absolutely worth getting for sure! Both myself and my partner said we would absolutely return here.

We was in room 19 - which was located next to the car park, with the stair and exit to the car park outside the room. This noise woke us up early and keep us awake at night. This room would be better as a storage room as to stop the noise distribution g guests.

Lakeside view was not good from our room which was a bit disappointing. Parking signage not very clear Room wasn’t cleaned between days stayed. So no new towels

It is very clean and modern in most areas, the view is beautiful and the staff are all so friendly. The spa is lovely and the breakfast was delicious with a good range of choices.

The spa would have been nice to go to a bit later on an evening if it was open later.

Had a very enjoyable stay. Although there was ongoing building work it didn't impact our stay at all. Staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was good, with plenty of options. We were told on arrival we had got a free upgrade to a room with a lake view which was fantastic.

Sadly, the bed cover and robe had stains on which let it down a little bit.

Upgrade is good. Swimming pool 1st class. Friendly staff but need better training if they want this hotel to be above the rest.

I felt the manager needed to be accountable for bringing this hotel up to standard. The rules that apply, ie dress code, are not adhered to. No dressing room in the pool area, so wet clients are walking through the dining room while dinner service is happening. No internet for days, while office internet is functioning. Just a matter of knowing how to fix their modem. .Manager was off-hand and didn't seem to care. The ladies in the office were super 👌. I hope the owner is aware.

The mattress was very soft so struggled to sleep.

The position of the room (looking down on the lake) and it's large size. The breakfast was always a very good one and we were lucky(?) that it was never too busy where you collect your food. The bar balcony had an even better view.

Breakfast serving area is restricted in size. The large car park was always quite full in the evenings and we only just got a space on a few occasions. We couldn't get down to the hotel's beach or garden because of spa construction ......and you cannot safely walk anywhere because of a lack of pavements on the main road.

The view to the lake was incredible and had an amazing sunset. The room I stayed in was amazing, wish I could’ve stayed longer. Had dinner there once and the salmon dish was one of the best I ever had. Breakfast was ok, but I think I was expecting more.

Stayed 2 nights and the only let down the room didn’t get cleaned or any fresh towels given for a hotel like this I think is pretty poor! I think the rooms should be done daily and beds made. Other than that it’s absolutely beautiful and bar area and views are great

I wish overall it looked better in terms of cleanliness...shower had mold marks but think its more of a renovation or retouch needed and not necessarily that is wasn't cleaned. Wish the room had a fridge and at least water.

Staff where amazing and very helpful and welcoming. The spa facilities were very clean and a great sized, specially the pool and hot tub's. The food was very well done, the breakfast tasted perfect near on, very happy that side. Location is what does make this place, thou view from our room was just OK, but head up for breakfast and the restaurant was the wow factor that made the stay.

The room was a lot smaller than photo's, the bath and sink had not been cleaned to well with some kind of black tar dots in them :( We booked the hot tub room but ended up not using it due to it not being to well cleaned, the wife noticed some scum on the edges which put us off using it. We should have reported the above but felt as only there a couple of days we did not wish to create any issues. We were also told someone order a Jack and Coke on our room tab which we did not order :( (This was corrected thou after we did comment). Photo are of the negative side, again we did enjoy our stay but not value for money on the room side.

The first room they give us the balcony was disgusting. Wooden frame was rotted and walls full of damp black mould. Burn marks on the carpet floor.

- Refurbishment of the hotel is very successful. I can spot differences. It is much more elegant and modern now. - swimming pool is nice.

- 4 stairs to reach spa! - Taking luggage down through stairs. Outdoor - outdoor spa is closed which was the main reason I knew this hotel. This is my 4th time in this hotel. - no change room in the swimming pool which is inconvenient. (Changing in toilet is not comfortable)

Views, size of the room

Staff was not very helpful, room didnt even gave drinking water for a 4 stars hotel. After booking and paying I received a message saying the spa was under renovation. For my whole stay, there was no WiFi and no TV, and they didnt even explain or help with that. When leaving I asked for a taxi to take me to the station, they didnt order and I missed my train and had to buy a new ticket. For the money I paid, I would say this ruin it for me.

The view was wonderful looking our over the lake, from the restaurant and from our room, we were so lucky to have that view. Even though the hotel is under going renovations at the moment the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We could not use the outside facilities which was fine as the indoor spa facilities were great. I would just like to mention the bar/restaurant staff Kieran, Matt and Ewan who were working the night we stayed. The were very helpful, chatty and professional.

The large bedroom has a beautiful view that you can’t get bored from. Rooms are spacious and well designed. Parking is very easy and accessible. Staff were very polite and professional.

One of our rooms was on the ground floor right under the lobby. We could hear and feel every step above us and the wooden nature of parts of the place made it quite noisy. We didn’t have a good sleep at all. Maybe consider alerting the customers of this fact in case they have sleeping issues so a quieter room is offered.

The staff provided an excellent service. Communication and information were spot on and prompt. The food was lovely, the room was spacious, and the views are fantastic

The only thing missing is air conditioning in the bedrooms. The summers are becoming warmer, so it will definately make a positive difference. Apart from that, everything else is great.

Fabulous beautiful location with a great bar and terrace with glorious views of Lake Windemere

Unfortunately they are having some refurbishments which will enhance the hotel but timing of when they did this in August 2026 was unfortunate and at times annoying

The hotel was lovely. The room we booked had a hot tub on our balcony. The bar & lobby area was set out well and the food was good. We used the spa, it was very relaxing and facilities were good.

The bathroom needed modernising.

A lovely stay with beautiful lake views. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the staff were very kind and attentive to every little detail. They even provided fans to make our sleep more comfortable.

The only thing to note is the 11-minute walk to the bus stop, which can be a little inconvenient without a car.

Loved the location, food was wonderful, a beautiful hotel, modern and comfortable and clean with stunning scenery.

The price vs the experience in the particular room I was in. I booked a cosy room with a hot tub for me and my partner. Whilst it was wonderful to have a hot tub it seemed to be on a filtering cycle throughout the night and even with the door and windows closed this was loud and disruptive enough to keep me up all night sadly. There were no instructions on how to use the hot tub let alone turn it off so we just had to tolerate it till morning. The room was also advertised as including a room service menu - not included and the phone system went down too but I did appreciate a timely text about this facility defect at the time. The indoor spa is also complimentary for all atm bc of outdoor works ongoing which is fine but because of the size is a bit busy for our liking so we didnt get to really fully enjoy it whilst there. The breakfast options were also pretty limited. Basically one hot food menu item (full English veggie/not veggie) and then essentially juice toast granola Yoghurt and a small amount of cheese and meat slices on offer. No veg/vegan milk alternative options, no fruit. I would've appreciated more options personally. The bathroom whilst modern was also a little scruffy round the edges - some marks left by cleaners and grout and rubber seals yellowing.

Not the hotels fault at all; but our neighbours had us up most of the night playing loud music and doing drugs on there balcony. Ruined the experience for us as we wanted a quiet night away we had to cut our hot tub time short and go inside the room.

The view was really nice and it was very quiet. I had a massage done by Megan and she was incredible and gave me some great advice at the end of a very peaceful and relaxing massage.

We got upgraded rooms which was so nice for us but there was a lot of construction and we couldn’t use the balcony but it was still better than the room we had booked.

The views were exceptional, the food was amazing, the bed was the most comfortable that I've experienced in any hotel I've stayed in the lake district, and that is a lot of hotels

The hotel is lovely and the staff were amazing and very helpful, from planning the trip to being there. We had a massage by Megan who was fantastic!! She was so amazing and also gave recommendations for places to eat. Would highly recommend a massage by Megan!! We had a room with a hot tub which was ready to use as soon as we checked it

Only one small niggle which was I paid for balloons package for a birthday and also rose petals. The petals were missed off however I was reimbursed.

Having never visited the lakes before, I originally only booked a single night. On arrival, I knew that wouldn't be enough. The views from the hotel are stunning; the bar and restaurant overlook the lake, and we had a room with a lakeside view, which was amazing. The Spa and swimming pool were great also, but what really made our stay were the staff; they helped us settle in, upgraded our room, organised another night, jiggling things around for us, helped with planning walks and sightseeing, Ghost and monster stories, plane spotting (you get the odd fighter jet using the lake a run and this made my sons eyes light up) and helped when my son when he cut his foot - as he hates the sight of blood - so I want to thank each and everyone - Morgan, Daluis Ewan, Kieron, Adam, Matt. Michelle, Carl, Adam, Katie Meg and Saddie - thank you all so much you turned a great holiday into something magical

The entrance and exit into the car park are something to be aware of - it's steep, and you don't get much visibility for turning out - but such is life on the lakes.

Poor facilities, no ice in the bar at the spa, not enough seats in the spa area for the guests that were using, the balcony over looking the lake was not finished, tools and materials left out, card only which wasn’t stated when booking, tiny rooms with a shower close to the bed. The lounge area needs a good clean, dirty side tables.

Banyoda el sabunu yoktu. Akşam servisi bar kısmındaki personel Hiç güler yüzlü değildi, akşam yemeği için 35 dakika beklememize rağmen geç kaldığı için özür dilemek yerine hala saçma sapan bahaneler sunmaya çalıştı. Üstüne bir de söylediğimiz yemekten farklı bir şey getirmişlerdi. Yeterince aç ve mutfak da kapanmak üzere olduğu için konuyu uzatmadık ama tavırları çok ukalaydı ve hiç misafirperver değillerdi.Lokasyonu ve manzarası sebebiyle bu otelde uzatmayı düşündüğümüz tatilimizi bir gece ile sınırlandırıp yakınlarda başka bir otele geçtik.

The shower trays, were water runs down at was blocked up with hair and moldy housekeeping must not clean them out so I had to pick it up with my hands so the bathroom didn’t flood that’s my only recommendation overall very nice stay.

Very little to dislike but a few “specials” at dinner would be nice. Privacy divisions in the garden outside the superior rooms would be better than allowing anyone to walk by your window. A small fridge would be useful.

The hotel was amazing, rooms with the amazing view. We stayed for two days and had full English breakfast which was delicious and had spa which was fantastic. Staff was amazing, polite and helpful. Would love too stay again here
