Quiet. Very clean Very friendly host Nice breakfast
Renee and her niece were an absolute joy and took care of all of our needs. The sitting room allowed us to visit with a friend while not disturbing other guests. We had a delicious 4 course breakfast and were full by the end. It consisted of baked goods, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, bacon (turkey), sausage, pickled tomato/cucumber, juice, and coffee.
I enjoyed hearing about the history from Renee. The place was charming and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely stay there again!
The house is old, I get it. Coming down stairs is so loud because of the oldness in the house! All in all, a fantastic stay!
It was conveniently located in Windsor
The property is not up to the standard of other bed and breakfast inns I have stayed at.
Overall, just an incredible gem in small town Windsor. Couldn't be happier with the stay here: from the healthy, extreamly generous breakfast, to the well-maintained rooms. Also, loved the little decor and ammenity touches throghout that made this b&b feel extra, cozy and welcoming. The staff here is very friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to accomodate dietary restrictions and overall comfort. Cannot reccomend staying here enough!
Immaculate, decoration with lots of character, super comfy beds, the most elegant breakfast I’ve EVER had and super friendly thoughtful staff
There is nothing not to like
We've come 4 years in a row for the fireworks. We have loved it every time.
Nothing!
Great staff and location. Breakfasts are substantial and a great value.
Location and value Love eating breakfast with other guests
Location close to the train station excellent breakfast
Shower water was not hot
Breakfast was great!
Delicious and so much food!
?
Charming and super convenient location. Lovely neighbourhood and very walkable.
We liked the communal table setup for breakfast - it was great to meet and talk with other guests. Appreciate the host staying up late to meet us, then getting up early to make breakfast. Overall our stay was very pleasant, if brief.
Nothing
Rita was friendly and very helpful!
Cherries in yogurt!!
Breakfast a little bit later? Please.
Delicious breakfast, and they agreed to provide it a bit early.
There was a bit of noise from creaking stairs.
Greeted when we arrived and staff provided little extras we requested.
Nothing
Renee and family were very helpful and provided a huge breakfast that included muffins, juice, yogurt and fruit, eggs with sausage and bacon and fresh vegetables and one day we even had dessert. The courses kept coming. After the first day we asked her to eliminate some of the food. But the fresh fruit was great. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.
Nothing but a word to those who have issues with stairs- the king suite is up two flights of stairs and the other rooms are up one flight.
Breakfast was very good and the location was excellent
Nothing comes to mind
Amazingly good breakfast. The best I have experienced in a B&B
The carpet
Very comfortable room-thanks for the upgrade. Rene was very thoughtful and charming. Highly recommend this B & B!
Can’t think of anything.
A very nice place to stay, very clean bathroom floors, great owners and staff
Very nice location with a bed and breakfast feel. Rooms are nice and spacious and parking was easy. Enjoyed the building and sounding areas! Recommend to anyone looking to have a traditional bed and breakfast type location with a touch of old school architecture.
Love the Walkerville area! The accommodations were comfortable and convenient but could be updated a bit. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the hostesses very gracious.
We never had breakfast as it was being served at 8 am. We had to leave earlier than that to catch our train. It was very close to the train station.
Hair dryer was old , it stopped while I was using it.
Stayed one night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Breakfast was amazing.
The property is located in a quiet area of town. It's about a 20 min walk from the train station. The place has a rustic charm; paint is a little chipped here and there. But the hosts keep it very clean. From what I understand, each room is a bit different. Mine came with a private bathroom, TV, and a little fridge. I didn't try the breakfast, so I'm not sure what it's like. Wifi and air conditioning worked very well.
Nothing to complain about. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful old house with lovely furniture on a quiet street.
Nice and convenient to the train station.
friendly staff..great location
Lovely old building, fantastic breakfast.
Way better than a hotel, seriously. My wife's knee is messed up, and she actually teared up when she saw the place I booked. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and the neighborhood isn't the best. But after a good night's sleep and a fresh breakfast, she was already talking about coming back. The staff is awesome, and you'll be staying somewhere with some real personality.
Heads up, parking's on the street. The waterfront's like, 5k away. Basically, if you're not driving, you're stuck. So, you know, plan for that.
The breakfast was huge.
Stayed during a heat wave so unfortunately the room was a little warm at night. Could have used a fan in the room.
The breakfast was incredible. Hot, delicious and filling. Fruit, yogurt, sausage, bacon, English muffin, eggs, orange juice and delicious coffee. Our bed was very comfortable.
The upper suite had a window air-conditioner. It was loud, and for that reason, I didn't get a restful sleep. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise.
It is quaint and comfortable. Parking is easy and close.
I like everything!
The older home setting, cozy room, wrap around porch, and fabulous breakfast. Friendly staff.
The very creeky steps walking upstairs Lol!
I will definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly, the room was lovely and everything was easy and without stress. The breakfast was generous and they even had a Keurig so I could get my first coffee before breakfast.
Breakfast and greeter/host were excellent.
Not much to write here, but leaving a light on at the entrance for night time coming in would be safer and more convenient, as would a hook to hang up clothes/robe in bathroom. Also, re the street lights coming in the window at night, a pull-down blind to the AC unit would help block out some of this light.
The location was great, right in Walkerville with great restaurants and shops. Minutes from the US border and close to the river where you can catch of glimpse of Lake St. Clair to the right and downtown Detroit and Windsor to the left. The bed was exactly as described and we greeted warmly upon arrival by Rita. We definitely would stay there again when hotel rates are around $200/night. Thank you for a nice weekend getaway!!
Noisy staircase where you can everyone going up and down. Water pressure in the shower was on the weak side too.
Wonderful historic property, warm welcome, comfortable stay, generous breakfasts. Definitely recommended!
The b&b is in a nice house outfitted in a comfortable and homey way. The host was friendly and breakfast was very good. Conversation with other guests in the morning was enjoyable.
Nothing!
Beautiful old building that is well maintained in a quiet and pretty part of Windsor, only 15 min walk to the train station.
Very Unique House, charming Hostess
Lots if extension cords running everywhere. Tv didn’t work. Loud and poorly functioning air conditioner
The hosts were gracious and helpful. The bedding was clean. But. This place needs a major renovation. A few licks of paint would really help. Take down out of date signs. Fix the lock on the front door. Pull a few weeds. I felt depressed staying here. See the pictures.
Beautiful building, comfy clean room with exceptional hosts. Definitely staying again
Breakfast was well prepared and the other guests were interesting to chat with.
Location is awesome. Host was very helpful and friendly.
The staff are amazing here. We felt very welcomed and “at home”, which is weird to say! The breakfast did not disappoint either! It was very delicious!
The property is very centrally located. Our host was very accommodating. The breakfast was great and the quantity was a lot as well. Our stay was very comfortable.
Breakfast was very nice
Great hostess
Wonderful home away from home
Renee greeted us friendily and made sure we had what we need. Would stay again.
Great amenities and friendly staff
Na
Location excellent! Safe and quiet yet near dt and riverside dr!! Amazing breakfast. Awesome beds and pillows, loved the modern yet retro room!! Renée is hostess with the mostess!! When I go to Ann Arbor I’ll stay here!! Thanks Renée 🤩
That I didn’t stay longer. Regrets.
Location was ok but on our first visit a couple of years earlier we had the top floor so this time it was kind of a disappointment being in room #3 but it was comfortable and we sleep well!
TV was only a BC network and we couldn’t watch the sports we wanted to see!
Did not have breakfasst. the Staff was terrific
My wife has difficulty with climbing stairs.
The suite was amazing and the porch was aswell
That we had to leave that early
The breakfast was exceptional!
It would have been nice to have a usb somewhere in the room to plug my phone in
Great place. Awesome breakfast.
The stairs are a concern for elderly. Everything creaks loudly. The single beds were ok. I would have liked room darkening curtains for street lights. The blow dryer wasn't working. There was zero traffic unlike a hotel. It was quiet once I settled in. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Parking was right outside the door and communication was timely.
A very lovely room with large airjet bath A good bed but the sofas were very poor and uncomfortable - springs sticking into you or sinking so low it was hard to get out of. Its location is great - close to city centre, river, parks and good resturants. Except for the sofa well worth the money. I would return there when visiting Windsor.
Fantastic place to stay, so friendly and accommodating. The building is beautiful and has lots of character, the breakfast is fantastic.
Very quaint home with good sized bedrooms. The host was very pleasant and very helpful about shopping and crossing over the boarder.
Nothing bad and everything was amazing!!!!! We will definitely be back!!!
Location was perfect - a short walk from the VIA rail train station. Warm, welcoming reception when I checked in. Room was very comfortable, with a private bathroom. Lovely breakfast - will definitely stay here again!
The staff was super friendly! I appreciated the smooth check in and parking instructions.
Charging for breakfast separately was an unpleasant surprise, since it's a BNB and all. The amenities were very basic (tiny TV), and I heard sounds constantly during the night. It sounded like the furnace was running constantly and I was always worried the TV was audible to my neighbors. It was very hard to sleep.
Renee is wonderful host, helpful and generous.
Great breakfast
A lovely bed and breakfast! Nice decor and very close to a street with lots of restaurants and bars. Wonderful hospitality and the biggest breakfast we’ve ever had at a B&B!
Excellent room and house. Superb breakfast.
