SpringHill Suites by Marriott Tuscaloosa

Breakfast was great and the staff was nice. I used to never be charged for parking. Why did that start now?

Rates could be lower especially for repeat customers.

The location was great, the room was very comfortable and quiet.

The only thing that was a little annoying was the water temperature. The water would be a comfortable temperature and it would fade away to cold, stay there for about a minute and go back to the original temperature.

The breakfast was amazing.

The location of the property was perfect!

The awful smell on the 4th floor was almost unbearable.

Location was good.

Friendly staff

Evening staff was amazing. Jarbaris was welcoming and worked the entire hotel; ice machine, hot cookies, popcorn, check-in, bonvoy membership. Room was large. Beds were comfy. The workout facility is very large.

Perhaps some lounge chairs at the pool. The pool is small so there needs to something to spruce it up.

I have no complaints, I didn’t expect to see a closet in our room the space was amazing, the people were friendly, breakfast was good, the pool area was amazing and just overall a wonderful trip and stay. I will be back again.

Breakfast was great! And my family had a great time at the pool

Room wasn’t ready when it was checked in time

The location was great and the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.

Very clean and location was perfect

Nothing

Location

We were put in a room by highway. We didn’t get a good night’s sleep due to the road noise

Location and breakfast

All good

Was very clean and comfortable.

We were greeted by the friendly night staff upon arrival. We were told about the free snacks in the lobby. The cookies were good. The room size was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner cooled the room perfectly and wasn't too loud. The shower was pretty and worked well. Great water pressure! I liked having the shampoo/conditioner/body wash already in there. Having a makeup remover wipe on the counter was a nice touch.

I don't think the sofa was vacuumed after the last guest and their pet left. There was a good bit of hair on the cushion. The bathroom door is glass and faced the bed. It made it difficult to use the restroom during the night without being disturbing to my husband. There was no small night light to help you see the toilet.

The location and the staff were friendly and welcoming. They even have great riddles of the day to solve and ponder

I liked that the staff who was at the front desk on May 13th when I check in after 6pm was very nice. He was very friendly. While assisting the person before us he still made sure he greeted us. He was very professional. I loved that the rooms were very clean and comfy. Very nice hotel, and was located where there was plenty stores in that area and variety of restaurants to choose from. It was in a great location and very quiet. It wasn't far from the coliseum that we visited and attended for my nephew high school graduation. I recommend this hotel stay if you happen to visit Tuscaloosa. Lobby was very clean as well. Next time I visit Tuscaloosa I will be returning to this location.

There was nothing I didn't like

The hotel was nice

My reservation was not found and we were unable to stay there.

We never got our room. Got there with family and they told us they couldn't find our reservation in the system and they were completely booked. It was 10PM at night and we had 3 small children with us. We had to drive 45 minutes away to find a hotel that had rooms. Very disappointing.

Great, friendly service and great hospitality

There is nothing that I disliked about it

Staff location and cleanliness

No juice for breakfast no water

Friendly staff, room size

It was modern.

Our handicap room was kinda “worn” down and could have been cleaned better.

Clean, comfortable, and very accommodating staff.

Clean

The bed was hard

Great location, friendly staff, nice rooms, great breakfast and loved the popcorn and cookies for late night snacks!

Very friendly staff

Everything was nice, clean and we will be back

Mrs. Kim was great!!

It was cold but it was much better food than average Hotel breakfasts.

Keurig coffee in the room was all decaf.

It was in Tuscaloosa. We had just drove from Manchester, New Hampshire and we were exhausted. I was worried we wouldn’t find anything there.

Can’t think of anything.

Very nice, clean, receptionist very sweet, breakfast was good

It was nice

Always clean and the rooms are very large

The breakfast convenience and cookies and popcorn in the evenings.

The water in our room had to heat up and even then never made it past warm.

Free popcorn and cookies. Very nice and helpful staff!

Breakfast was just ok.

Very comfortable

Nothing

First time visiting the city and the location of the hotel was perfect.

Room was very nice and comfortable

Only one high chair doesn’t support twin familes well!

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean and bed was really comfortable. Great location right off the interstate with lots of dining options. Breakfast buffet was a little short staffed and we had to wait on food and utensils but the food itself was good.

Unfortunately the 2 major things we didn't like about the room have to do with the design so they can't be "fixed." First, the bathroom had a sliding door with a frosted glass panel that looked super cool BUT-- the bed was positioned facing the door so if someone had to use the restroom in the night or early morning the lights would blast you in the face. Second, the AC unit was positioned right near the bed so when it was on the air would blow right on you.

Very comfortable beds. Good location. Professional staff.

Nothing

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was clean and the location was convenient.

The room layout was awful. There was a mirror on the wall but NO outlets were remotely close. Also, the bathroom door had frosted glass so when anyone was in the bathroom, the entire room was lit up. So the first person up in the morning woke everyone else up. God forbid anyone go to the bathroom during the night!!

Very clean staff was amazing

Nice staff, great breakfast, great location, and very clean!

There wasn't anything that I didn't like about the hotel!

It was nice and quiet

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like

Large room.

Breakfast eggs.

Clean room

The staff was incredible.

The odd bathroom placement in our room. A broken sliding door that didn’t lock, directly in front of the beds. Everything else was great!

Friendly staff

We had a great stay!

Staff was exceptionally friendly! Room was clean & fine; best pillows we’ve had at hotels in a long time! Comfy

Very happy when we stay here. This is our go to hotel in Tuscaloosa when we visit our son. I feel safe, the room is clean, the staff is extremely friendly and they offer a nice continental breakfast. Zero complaints.

I’m meeting my family in Birmingham today. I got on the road earlier than them so I stayed the night here. Everything is great. Love the hot breakfast and the staff were very personable. I couldn’t get a couple of plugs in the room to work. Maybe I should have turned on a switch?

This was our 4th stay at SpringHill Suites Tuscaloosa. We have continued to come back because the property is clean, conveniently located, quiet and the staff is great. The rooms are very spacious for the price and the complimentary warm cookies and popcorn are a nice touch. We love now close the property is to the main thoroughfare, near the highway, shopping, restaurants and other amenities. We will continue to book SprngHill for future stays when we visit Tuscaloosa.
