Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Plenty of room in the main part of our unit. Comfy couches. Kitchen with all essentials. Quiet location away from town.
Sadly next time we are in Ohakune I may not be able to manage the steep stairs to the upstairs bedrooms - not the fault of Qzzies but my own ageing problem.
Had everything needed for a 1 night and 1 day on the slopes, nice to arrive late and find the room warm and milk in the fridge.
Thought from the description that the sofa downstairs was a bed, turned out wasn't but took one of the mattresses downstairs
Friendly reception.
Extremely outdated accommodation. Creaking from anyone walking upstairs was super loud. Noise from neighbouring apartments also comes straight through. The kitchen window doesn't have the ability to block out, so able to see in at all times from outside. TV super old also.
The warmth and coziness
Nothing, it slayed
Nice and tidy and clean
Great place for a family visit to the mountain - has everything you need without being fancy - good value would stay again.
Town water being turned off without anyone knowing - but that's the councils fault not the motels
Amazing value for money
Warm dry and
La vue magnifique sur le mont Rapehu Les patrons adorables je recommande vivement Très bien situé
Motel was very clean & staff were great. Rooms are dated though & beds a bit soft but was a great option for one night. Location was great to town & for the Carrot Park!
Great place to stay lots of sleeping area Nice and warm
I like how comfortable we are during our stay, and I like the staff
Heat pump was awesome cause it was pretty cold at nights outside. We were toasty inside. All the basic things you need in the kitchen. Bed was comfortable.
The floors are quite creaky upstairs!
Spacious, warm
Nothing
Super cute wooden log style chalet, very comfortable and good valet for money. Lovely staff. Great views of the mountain.
No coffee, and apparently it doesn’t snow in Ohakune like the photos suggest.
It’s central, it’s clean
Upstairs floors are super squeaky, and mattresses can do with a update.
The staff is wonderful ,very friendly and helpful. I even feel bad to make a bad review , but it isn't about the staff. Very clean place. The shower is very good and warm.
Need seriously an update, toilet is very small, the bunk beds are very uncomfortable, and the main bed isn't too bad, but kind feels like a water mattress because moves every time u turn on the bed, shower needs toiletries, cutlery need new ones, the floor is very noise , this place isn't good for kids, it's more for whom wants to have a safe place to stay but isn't looking for luxury or things to do at night. So make sure u bring some of your own entertainment .
We had an amazing stay at Ossies Motels and Chalets. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived. The motel was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We came with our two boys, and they absolutely loved staying here. My husband and I also had a wonderful time. The peaceful atmosphere and great facilities made our family trip even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ohakune. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!
Everything was good 🙂
Cabin is pretty spacious and comfortable
Water pressure was low for the shower/hot water
Nice and quiet excellent location
It is so cute - this was a very last minute booking and we absolutely loved it - it gives the wooden cabin vibe to the Chalets and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying there
Wished we could have stayed longer
地理位置不错
We had a two bedroom apartment which had a very spacious living room. It wad clean and the full kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of parking and the communal laundry was free. The non-ski season price was a bargain. Would definitely stay there again.
The two storey apartment meant having to negotiate steps to get to the bedrooms and downstairs to get to the only bathroom and toilet. The bedrooms are small meaning we had to keep our bags on the ground floor. A little away from the centre of town so a car is required.
Cozy ski cabin, warm and quiet
nothing really
lovely accommodating staff very clean compact chalets with everything you need and one of the best views in the country
we had to leave
Pleasant ,cosy
, very creeky stairs up to bedrooms, but a drawback of Lockwood builds.
Very clean and tidy
Met our needs, quite spacious and good facilities but the shower had low presure.
Only the shower presure.
Kutchen well equipped. Plenty of room. Good air conditioning.
The water pressure in the shower was poor. Stairs where steep.
Clean, comfy, quiet, reasonable, friendly, no fuss, easiest weekend away!
The stairs! I’m a klutz, not their fault!
Value for money
Place is pretty dated and not really what we expected
Very easy check in process, room good size and staff were friendly, great to have access to laundry facilities
Sauna was closed during our stay
Good location, clean, comfortable
The stairs to the upstairs are a bit noisy
Whole chalet with unique wooden and countryside style. John and Sue are very friendly and feel like family. Car park in front of room is very easy to load/unload.
Simple and not well equipped for holiday stay. No shampoo & bath gel. Shower water pressure is not strong.
Price, bed confortable, had cooking facilities, parking at front, great location to explore the surrounding tourist area if you have a car.
Stairs to the bedroom were a bit noise when used
Comfortable, clean,
Dated .Ski lodge vibe a bit too basic for our tastes. No contact or interaction with any staff. When there was an opportunity virtually ignored.
Les escaliers trop bruyants. Les fenêtres laissent passer le vent. Les lits sous les combles sont limites pour se lever ou se coucher.
Good locality
Stairs to reach the bedroom.
It was comfortable.
a lovely chalet.
Bedroom very small and very poor water pressure
No one was at reception but we were greeted with a welcoming letter explaining everything we needed to know. The chalet is spacious with a kitchen a living room, and a table in the kitchen . There was a heat pump to keep us warm. The bed was very cosy. The place was very quiet.
The stairs to go up in the bedrooms as they were wooden and a bit narrow. No light above or near the bed.
Very comfortable warm bed. Well insulated unit with very efficient heat pump. Contained all the facilities one needed for a short stay at least. The place naturally, given the location, is geared towards skiers in the winter season, and would be excellent for that.
Beds were all upstairs but that was clear from the website photos and recognised before booking. However, the stairs were very steep and individual steps were not even of a depth that could take one's whole foot. Therefore, extreme care needs to be taken, especially when going down, and especially at night (bathroom & toilet facilities being on the ground floor).
Great location and great room. Close to town and the host heated the room for us as we arrived in the evening
Very quiet . Washing facilities were a bonus
Stairs were a bit narrow
Excellent stay. Everything needed for cooking in the kitchen. Comfortable beds great shower, plenty of space to move around, very easy access. Laundry only had one washer and dryer, but it was free! Had no problem accessing it when needed . Responsive host.
Everything was perfect
Decent size, relatively cheap and in a good location.
Felt a little run down, seemed like there was or has been damp on the ceiling. Nobody there to check us in.
Good location, very clean.
Nothing.
The customer service was so helpful.
Clean room, comfortable bed, away from traffic, ideal for our one night stay.
Good location, easily found
Big kitchen and full size fridge. Netflix available. Free washing machine and tumble drier - was great as we arrived very wet and muddy.
Mattresses were soft and a bit uncomfortable. Unable to lock door - needed instructions.
We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom chalet which was a perfect layout for us. Nice spacious lounge area. It looked as though the kitchen and bathroom were brand new! Chalet was much warmer than expected.
Upstairs was a bit creaky.
Plenty of beds and bedding, plenty of parking, clean tidy chalet with good facilities,I would stay here again good value for Money spent
Mattress was a thinner foam which i found unacomfortable as I am a larger lady. No Oven in the kitchen.
Petit chalet individuel très mignon avec sa terrasse, très grand pour 3 personnes. Nous n'avons vu personne mais pas de soucis pour le check in
Voiture nécessaire pour aller au centre ville
Quiet, comfortable and roomy. A well equipped kitchen with a fridge freezer. We appreciated the milk, tea and coffee provided. The location was convenient for the walking we did.
The cold tap in the bathroom needs a new washer.
I don’t think I would come back again
Very small bed so had to use the single bed on floor which was very uncomfortable, and the upstairs floor was VERY squeaky floor boards
Nice quiet location. Kids made friends with the neighbours. Had everything we needed.
My only suggestion would be black out curtains. Trying to get kids to sleep in summer was tricky when it was so light in the room!
Quiet area, spacious chalet, very friendly host.
Had a late night scare before the morning of our Tongariro Alpine crossing hike that we could t find our car keys! But we found them
Great location, cute cabin with a well equipped kitchen . Clean and tidy with lots of space
The double bed was uncomfortable with roll together and very springy . Shame as we really liked the place and would have given a high score
