B&B du Village - BBV

Very quaint bnb in the heart of the village a private oasis full of beautiful plants. Very convenient to metro. Owners are lovely and breakfast was very good.

The cottage I rented was so close to the lively atmosphere of the village - restaurants,bars etc yet it was quiet at night - what a beatiful apartment too - so cute , clean and modern My friends that are local want to use this for their out of town guests in future Would highly recommend !

If I am not staying here again, I am not going to Montreal. I love everything about this space but mostly the owners. It’s clean, the common areas are awesome(and sooo many flowers, so beautiful) and breakfast was amazing. Location is amazing and you can walk anywhere pretty much. If you are looking for a place to stay, or if you’ve already booked but looking for an alternative cancel that and book this one.

BBV is very well managed by Philippe & team in terms of taking care of the guests, offering a sumptuous breakfast, clean accommodations, and friendly ambience. We recommend wholeheartedly.

The check-in process was easy and instructions were clear. My room was super clean and it still had a pleasant smell of cleaning products when I entered my room. Housekeeping was done daily. Breakfast experience at the dinning room is unparalleled to anything I’ve experienced before. They offer delicious homemade breakfast and hosts were super nice and attentive. The only thing I did not enjoy was the construction next door which started at 7 each morning not allowing me to sleep-in on my vacation. Overall, more positives than negatives!!!

We had a wonderful day with Sylvain and Phillipe. The B&B is in a convenient and very walkable neighborhood and is very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed chatting with other guests at the breakfast table. Our hosts were kind and helpful and we we would definitely stay here again!

Highlight of our short trip to Montreal. Fast and easy check in. Bed very comfortable. Owners made you feel very welcome and provided lots of local information. Breakfast over the top with most ingredients locally sourced. Great location for people watching with lots of nearby restaurants. Looking forward to returning.

I was blown away just how much fun I had staying here. The other tenants were great, but one of the owners, Philip, did a great job at making us feel comfortable. On top of that, the place was clean, quaint, comfortable, and conveniently located in the Village. I loved it here, and I can’t wait to stay here again.

We had a fabulous long weekend in Montréal in large part to the stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Phillipe made us delicious breakfasts that kept us going until dinner. The room and bed were very nicely appointed, comfortable and clean. The other guests were fun to talk with over breakfast. Location was excellent. Great place to stay.

Breakfast both tasty, ample and convivial. Our suite’s terrasse was very spacious and comfortable. I cannot imagine having anything but a satisfying experience here regardless of the season.

Great place to stay in the epicenter of the Gay Village. One block from the train station. The room was perfect. Comfortable bed, pillows and very clean. The delicious breakfast every morning was a nice plus. Philip and his partner were very nice. Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic stay. The hosts were extremely nice, informative, and accommodating. The B&B was beautiful. I could not find anything in the building that needed to be fixed or improved. The neighborhood was nice. I highly recommend staying at the B&B du Village and my wife and I would stay there if we visit Montreal again.

Great property, great hosts, and very close to two main subway lines and an express bus to the airport. Very quiet, but only a few steps away from lots of restaurants and bars.

This space had everything we needed for a two-day stay in Montreal. The cottage was clean and modern, with a full kitchen in case we wanted to cook or heat leftovers. There was onsite parking hidden from the street for a small fee. Staff was very helpful in explaining local amenities and attractions. The location was excellent-on a quiet street one block away from a main walking strip with many options for eating, drinking, shopping, and entertainment. The Metro was a couple blocks away. We did not drive at all during our stay! Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance or near a Metro station. We would definitely stay here again!

After many years of visiting Montreal, this was by far our favorite stay. Sylvain and Darren are such wonderful and helpful hosts - excellent communication from the start and throughout our stay. The breakfast was superb (we cancelled our Sunday brunch rez in order to have one more breakfast here!). Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Many great restaurants and shops right around the corner and walking distance to festivals - including Old Montreal and the Old Port area. The metro is also close by and very easy to use. We can't say enough - BBV is truly a gem!

This was an amazing stay, with some great hosts who made stay even better. Their breakfasts were fantastic with several homemade items like croissants, yoghurt and granola. They also brought to the table incredible foods from local suppliers. Location was fantastic and you could walk to any of the key areas of Montreal. I would definitely go again and stay with them as their hospitality is amongst the best I’ve seen

The apartment was larger than I was expecting and the proprietors we so friendly and helpful. That is not to mention the incredible breakfast they prepared each morning. The B&B du Village is located in a great neighborhood for restaurants, parks, and the Metro. I can't wait to come back to B&B du Village.

We spent 3 wonderful nights and enjoyed everything! Our hosts were gracious and knowledgeable. The breakfasts featured home-baked croissants, wonderful bread pudding, made-on-site yogurt, maple syrup, and eggs-to-order. We felt like family and couldn’t have wishes for more!

We had a very comfortable stay in the cottage, and we appreciated the excellent communication and friendly welcome from our hosts. We slept well in a our clean, quiet "home" with a comfy bed. We didn't cook (food & drink being such a part of the Montreal experience) but the cottage seemed well equipped for it. Ste. Catherine area is downtown and feels like it (not so much a neighbourhood and not our favourite of the city) but we were close to 2 of the metro lines and minutes to the venue for a concert we were attending. We definitely recommend the B&B, and during the months when Ste. C becomes a pedestrian street, no doubt the Village shines!

My stay at B&B du Village was perfect. The room was so clean with many thoughtful details through out. The breakfast was so delicious, homemade yogurt was a star and of course croissants every day! Phillipe and Nicholas went out of their way to be helpful about everything from recommendations to sending me on my way to the airport with breakfast to go and even calling me a taxi. And the location was perfect.

While eating breakfast in the kitchen area, I had a sizable amount of money stolen from my purse which was locked in my "Cottage" room. Six people had the door code to my room (all 4 owners and 2 maids). The B&B had no camera for the back entrance which was the main entrance to my room. Owners responded to my loss by emailing me a useless form to fill out to report this incident to the police. The internet form said to call the police in response to checking "entered room without permission"). When I finally was able to talk with police, they asked for a camera.

Wonderful B&B in the heart of the Gay Village. The guest room was spacious, beautifully designed, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hosts provide a very ample homemade breakfast and there are several lovely common areas. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. One of the nicest B&Bs we stayed at.

Central location was great for exploring Montreal. I enjoyed the full breakfast each morning and the pleasant balcony for reading. Mattresses were quite comfortable, too.

Awesome host! Phillippe was very gracious. Very clean and we were provided a great introduction on sites to see. The section of town is not the closest to Old Montreal but well within a reasonable walking distance. The demographic in the Village is friendly and distinct. Since we were staying in the cottage, not the B&B proper, we had inadvertently failed to opt for breakfast, but Phillippe fed us nonetheless. Merci Beaucoup!!

A very nice stay. Breakfast is highly enjoyable. Very fresh and they provide a quality homemade breakfast. The breakfast items were not full of sugar and they were not store bought. Excellent homemade yogurt. The rooms are very nice and extremely quiet. You are able to come and go without feeling like you are being watched. I enjoyed chatting with the international guests. This located conveniently to the metro stop and easily walkable to the old port city. The advanced email was very helpful. They provide an outstanding balance between hotel and private home. Well done and I would highly recommend staying here.

The place was lovely and pleasantly surprising how last minute I could book it. Very beautiful layout with amazing patio’s and very clean amenities. Not to mention the delicious breakfast with freshly baked croissants and sandwiches prepared right in front of you. Communication ahead of our arrival was excellent, as we arrived they opened the garage door for us. Off street parking was an awesome touch! Tastefully decorated property, CLEAN, and welcoming. We were given a full tour of the amenities upon arrival. The homemade yogurt at breakfast was great. The owners were helpful at every opportunity from assisting with travel to our concert, to finding a coffee the next morning. They provided privacy when appropriate and we’re helpful likewise. We enjoyed the nearby pedestrian mall and rode the metro from the nearby station with ease. My girlfriend and I had lost faith years ago in B&B’s - BBV has restored our faith in one brilliant visit. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, friendly service. Parking was easy and guaranteed (not to mention more affordable than most places!). Very clean and cozy for a quick weekend trip to Montreal. The location was also great - close by UQAM metro stop which intersects with all the lines! As long as you don’t mind sharing a shower and toilet with other guests, I would absolutely recommend this bnb!

It was quaint and old fashioned which I love - hardwood floors, old French doors, big windows (that open!), yet also had modern amenities like a smart TV on the wall. I really enjoyed the feel of this place. And SUPER clean!

A massive thank you to Philippe and Nicolas for a wonderful stay. My partner and I really enjoyed the incredible breakfast and the room had more than everything we needed. Old town was a short 15-20min walk, and this time of year it was a perfect start to the day. I would definitely recommend staying here.

First stay in a B&B so didn’t know what to expect but it worked out great. At breakfast met people from all over the world and had fun conversations. Otherwise it was quiet and peaceful even though it is only 20 meters to restaurants. Short walk to the metro for easy access to the rest of the city, the bus to and from airport is also close by. Owners were very helpful and friendly so it was a great experience.

Very comfortable and quiet well appointed room on the first floor with Apple TV. Nice bathroom with roomy hot shower. Gracious and friendly owners who provide delicious breakfast with warm croissants, homemade yogurt and granola, made to order bacon and eggs along with French toast, bacon and homemade sweet breads.. Location is a very short walk to Metro and also a comfortable walk to Chinatown and the Old City. Loved it and hope to return.

We spent 3 nights and would go back. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the location very convenient, and breakfast was lovely. The owner greeted us upon arrival and spent some time orienting us on a map and recommending places to see and eat - they are very welcoming and know how to do hospitality. Breakfast is in their friendly kitchen and a nice way to start the day. We walked all over the city from the hotel, and also found good restaurants nearby. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great location just a half block away from St Catherine St., which is kinda like Montreal's version of Bourbon St. Also close to Old Montreal for more great restaurants. Having their own parking was a real bonus in downtown Montreal. Breakfast was great for the food but even better was the interaction with other guests from around the world. The hosts where fantastic and very welcoming. We will definitely come back when in Montreal.

Traveled with a friend and stayed in room 22/the room with 2 beds and shared bath. We had no problems with waits for the bathroom. Breakfast was amazing. The dog was good, and also trained to not bother anyone during breakfast. They have wine glasses and regular glasses available if you want to bring a bottle of something back and sit on the patio or in the lounge and drink it. The hosts gave us very useful suggestions on activities/things going on, and had friendly conversation with us during breakfast. I'll definitely try to stay here again in the future. The 2 shared bathrooms had locking solid wood doors and were very clean.

My girlfriend and I had a perfect weekend getaway to Montreal and the BBV Bed & Breakfast was a perfect place to base our weekend out of. Phillipe, his husband, and the assistant staff they have were perfect ambassadors for the city and everything you could hope for in a perfect host. Will look to book with them every trip to Montreal. Location in the village is a 2 min walk from the metro Beaudry as well as a 2 minute walk from a Bixi bike station, providing metro or city bike rental for easy transportation.

I was staying for a few days prior to going to New York for Thanksgiving. So a few days in Montreal was a treat. Met Philippe who was very friendly and showed me around the Bed and Breakfast. I got my key and electronic entry code. My room was the one with the included attached bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were better than home. At breakfast I met other friendly guests, some from Boston, Paris and Toronto. Breakfast was wonderful with coffee, amazing homemade bread pudding, croissants, homemade jam, eggs made to order. This was perfect since I was travelling alone and this made me feel at home.
