We just got back from a mother-daughter trip to the Viceroy Cabo for my birthday, and it was one of the best trips we’ve ever taken. Since I own an apparel design firm that works with 5-star hotels, my standards for luxury service and amenities are extremely high, but the Viceroy completely blew me away. The modern architecture of the hotel is stunning, and our spacious 1-bedroom ocean-view suite was just gorgeous. Our butlers, Jacob and Victor, were absolute rockstars. They handled everything from our airport transfers to spa bookings and dinner reservations before we even arrived, they nailed every single detail. When we walked into our room, Jacob had it decked out with birthday balloons and treats, which was such a wonderful touch. We were constantly texting them with last-minute requests and changes throughout the trip, and this "dynamic duo" was on it every single time. We probably sent over 100 texts, and they responded to every single one within minutes. They really made us feel like VIP guests. The rest of the team was just as incredible. Fernanda, the restaurant manager, worked from morning to night at Casero, Awacate, and Cielomar, always making sure we had a memorable dining experience. Mark at Nido was so personable and gave us an omakase recommendation that actually rivaled our experience at Mandarin Oriental and Ritz Carlton in Tokyo. Gabriel at Nidito always make sure our shaded daybed was ready and our food and drinks always timely. Ana and Scarlett provided exceptional facial and massages, and the spa “grotto” design is simply relaxing and stunning. Emilio, the manager on duty, even helped us secure another suite during a brief power outage. The whole staff just works together so seamlessly. Whether we were grabbing breakfast at Casero, relaxing on the beach at Nidito, or enjoying dinner with those incredible views at Nido and Cielomar, we felt so taken care of. The food everywhere was top-tier. Cabo has no shortage of luxury resorts, but the Viceroy is on another level because of the staff. My daughter and I left with so many great memories, and we’re already planning to come back with the rest of the family—as long as we can have Jacob and Victor taking care of us again! 😊

We were at the Viceroy in Cabo for a wedding and couldn’t be more pleased with the atmosphere and service. From the minute we arrived we were awestruck by the beauty of the resort and the welcoming atmosphere. Mariana & Victoria were our Butler team and they were superb. They were attentive to every detail and ensured we were having the best time and that all details for the wedding were perfect. We highly recommend this location and Mariana & Victoria. We will definitely go back.

My wife, our daughter, our son, and I stayed at Viceroy Los Cabos from July 21 through July 25 in Villa 12. We were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary and our daughter’s 23rd birthday, and the resort helped make both occasions incredibly special. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, although very hot, and the resort itself was beautiful. One of the things we enjoyed most was that it felt intimate enough to become familiar with the staff throughout our stay. By the end of the trip, the breakfast, lunch, and dinner teams knew who we were, remembered our preferences, and often had our favorite table available. A huge thank-you to Victor and Jacob, our butler team. They went above and beyond throughout our stay. For our anniversary, they arranged sparkling wine, chocolate-covered strawberries, and chocolate truffles. For our daughter’s birthday, they coordinated a beautifully decorated room filled with balloons and flowers, along with two cake tarts. Their attention to detail helped make both celebrations truly memorable. Victor and Jacob also arranged a private tequila tasting for our family with Hector, the bar manager, and Mikey. It was educational, entertaining, and one of the highlights of our trip. We learned a lot, had plenty of laughs, and would highly recommend the experience. We stayed on the Deluxe All-Inclusive Meal Plan, and it was fabulous. This option does not seem to be widely promoted, but it is absolutely worth considering, particularly for a family or group. We appreciated being able to pay in advance and know the total cost of our meals and drinks before the trip. It also made the experience much more relaxing. We could enjoy bottled water, specialty coffees, cocktails, meals, snacks, and poolside service throughout the day without thinking about the accumulating cost each time we ordered. At the end of each meal, the check showed what the food and drinks would normally have cost, followed by a zero balance aside from gratuity. For us, the convenience, flexibility, and predictability made the plan well worth it. The food quality throughout the resort was very good. The rooftop restaurant was excellent, and the presentation of the New York strip was especially impressive. We also loved the tuna tartare, oysters, artichoke cheese bread, and truffle pizza. Breakfast was another highlight. The eggs Benedict were among the best I have had at a resort, although the crab cake version was not personally my favorite. The avocado toast, açaí bowls, omelets, fruit with yogurt, and hot and iced coffees were all delicious. The Japanese restaurant had an incredible atmosphere, and the omakase experience was wonderful. The food quality was exceptional, and we enjoyed hearing the story and inspiration behind each dish. The staff made the entire evening feel special. The pool experience was also excellent. Most days, the pools felt surprisingly quiet and uncrowded. One tip is to visit the rooftop pool for beautiful views, comfortable seating areas, and excellent photo opportunities. Bring a few drinks with you and enjoy the scenery. Another tip is to try to secure the four chairs near the upper pool area. It almost feels like having your own private section and pool. The servers were fantastic and checked on us frequently, bringing buckets of iced water, beer, Aperol spritzes, Hugo spritzes, and lunch directly to our chairs. Special recognition should also go to Jesus and Luis, who made our family feel especially welcome during meals. Abraham, the bartender at the rooftop restaurant, and Luis, the manager, were also terrific. Throughout the resort, the staff and servers genuinely seemed committed to making our experience exceptional. We also enjoyed two hydrotherapy sessions at the spa, followed by 60-minute massages. Everything was top-notch. Alberto guided our entire family through the hydrotherapy experience and was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and passionate about his work. He thoughtfully prepared towels, cucumbers for our eyes, cool cloths, rosemary scrubs, and several different drinks throughout the experience. The massages were among the best resort massages we have ever received. There are a few areas of the property that feel dated and could use updating. We were told that the resort would be temporarily closing shortly after our visit to complete some needed renovations, which should make an already beautiful property even better. During our stay, we also visited Acre off property. The landscaping and atmosphere there are truly special. We loved the craft cocktails and creative food options. It is definitely a destination for anyone who enjoys unique dining experiences. Overall, this was an amazing family trip filled with wonderful memories. What truly sets Viceroy Los Cabos apart is the quality of the accommodations for families and groups, the food and drink offerings, and, most importantly, the exceptional service. We thoroughly enjoyed the Viceroy experience and now have our eyes set on visiting the Viceroy in St. Lucia.

Great location. Love the atmosphere. Our room was beautiful with a great view. Our Butlers/Hosts Jennifer & Alexis were attentive to our needs, very accessible and personable. They were thoughtful and made my husband feel special & recognized for his birthday. The dining staff was extremely friendly and caring, especially at making sure all my selected meals were indeed dairy free.

We went to celebrate our anniversary and Viceroy exceeded our expectations. From the amazing suite with the breathtaking ocean view to the zero edge swimming pools, exceptional gym and modern looking architecture making you feel the place is fully floating over water. And above all the amazing friendly services, servers by the pool and especially the private butlers assigned to us from the moment we arrived, Mariana and Victoria, who went above and beyond to ensure all our questions, needs, reservations and a surprise anniversary gift was given to us. We will be back soon.

My girlfriend and I had The best experience at the Viceroy. We stayed at one of the penthouses and Mariana and Victoria were AMAZING!! They were super fast to take care of all of our needs and truly went above and beyond to make our stay flawless!!

Very pleasant stay with the family. The gym was very well equipped, staff were attentive and kind, we went to the Spa and the attention of Scarlett and Juan were the best. We had a very nice time there.

This was one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at. The layout was gorgeous, the room was pristine with an unbelievable view, and the staff were so accommodating and so friendly. Victor and Jacob made my stay seamless from the start. When we met at check in I was given their numbers so we could communicate via WhatsApp. They helped me via booking taxis, arranging housekeeping, dinner reservations, and I’m sure anything else I would’ve asked for they would have assisted me. Their responses were prompt and it was so nice to feel so taken care of. Especially being a solo traveler, this gave me peace of mind that I had some trusted people to help me with whatever I needed. The location is perfect, in San Jose del Cabo away from the crazy party scene in San Lucas. The spa … unreal. I entered another universe there. It was the ultimate relaxation and the massage from Jesus was exactly what I needed. I was lucky when I arrived there weren’t many people in the spa so I enjoyed silence and peace, when I was leaving the spa it was more crowded so the noise level was higher than I would have wanted. The vibes of the hotel overall were incredible. Everything is so aesthetically pleasing and so clean as well. The property is very well kept. And the food at Cielomar was delicious.. best steak I’ve had in a while.. get the chimichurri sauce with it! And the ocean view room with a plunge pool on the balcony .. enjoying a bath, with epsom salts that they provided, at night listening to the waves was just incredible. Overall one of my favorite trips of my life! And big shout out to the concierge team who helped me arrange my private airport transfers, my spa services, and multiple excursions, including a super fun horseback riding experience on the beach! This is an excellent spot for solo travelers, friend group trips, or romantic getaways. Must visit!

We stayed at Viceroy Los Cabos for my partner’s milestone birthday, and Edin was hands-down one of the best parts of our trip. He went above and beyond at every turn, anticipating things we needed before we even asked, making sure every detail of our celebration felt special, and doing it all with genuine warmth. It’s rare to encounter that level of service, and it elevated our entire stay. If you’re visiting, ask for Edin by name, he’ll take care of you.

Going to start up by saying Angel was amazing and made sure we were good through out our whole trip. Would definitely recommend not only the butler service but Angel. He made the whole experience flawless and easy . The whole viceroy team was honestly amazing. Very welcoming and on top of room service! Will definitely be coming back!

Everything was great from the second we arrived. The staff and atmosphere make it one of my most favorite relaxing places and never want to leave. We got an unexpected room upgrade with a balcony which was the best surprise and to top it off they decorated my room for my birthday with the cutest decor and complimentary champagne and desserts. Edin was the best host ever and can’t thank him enough for making my stay so wonderful.

Amazing experience at Viceroy Cabo! I come back every year and always have a wonderful time. The rooms are great and service is even better. Highly recommend the breakfast and Casero and the beach/pool food. Special shoutout to Israel and Jorge for making our stay a 10/10. They were extremely attentive and responsive and truly made our trip the best!

We had the most incredible time at Viceroy Los Cabos. The level of care & hospitality is unmatched. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt pampered & cared for. Victor & Jacob were our butlers for the stay & provided the best service! Any questions or assistance we needed they were there. To my surprise my daughter arranged the most beautiful birthday balloons & decorations in our room with the concierge Jeanete. She helped curate the most amazing itinerary for us that made my birthday so incredibly special. From our cooking class to world class dinner at Nido, I felt like we were transported to a different world. Christian our chef was incredible. He was friendly & talented. Our ceviche and sashimi class was so much fun! So fresh & elevated without being too hard for us to truly enjoy. Our day at the spa was another highlight. We were guided through every room with ease & care. The smells, the sounds it was all such relaxing experience. Scarlett my masseuse was the best! I absolutely recommend the hot stone massage. We love the viceroy at Los Cabos. Every employee there has the art of hospitality mastered & will make you feel like a princess!

Jeanete, Victor, and Jacob deserve special recognition for making our stay truly exceptional. They have convinced us once again that the only choice in San Jose del Cabo is the Viceroy. Jeanete (Concierge) was absolutely amazing. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. She helped make every interaction a pleasure. Jeanete and I exchanged 28+ emails to help coordinate surprises and decor for my mom’s birthday. I had to consult alot and had so many questions she walked me through every choice and possibility. She did everything like more than it was her job but like it was her happy duty. I loved her and have never worked with a concierge that is SO above and beyond. She is a wonderful at making every moment magical. She is also very beautiful and happy, just great energy I wish I could’ve vacationed with her but she was hard at work making every guest feel as magical as me! Victor (Butler) was always attentive, quick to respond, and ready to help with anything we needed. His service was outstanding from start to finish. Jacob (Butler) went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. He was always available, efficient, and genuinely kind, making our experience even more enjoyable. Jacob and Victor are the best duo team there is! They are always in the chat offering up any ways they can help. They got us transportation, so many reservations, and lots of ice to our room. I loved that I could any questions and they would answer so warmly and quickly. They even assisted us in off property activities. They are genuinely great staff and our stay wouldn’t have been the same without them!!!!! I would stay just to have these two chatting me daily! The best. I will be requesting them during our next stay. Brandon delivered ice to our room, complimented my Spanish, and was incredibly sweet and friendly! He does all of his service with the biggest smiles. Ricardo (Bellman) greeted us warmly upon arrival and quickly took care of our luggage along with big hugs. Ricardo is one of our many reasons we returned to Cabo, he is fabulous. He provided amazing service and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. I about shed a tear when I saw him as we were pulling up in a car, then big hugs commenced!!! It’s been 2 years since we visited and he remembered. The entire bellman team was perfect. Everyone was friendly, professional, and efficient, making arrivals and departures seamless. Misael (Cielomar) provided wonderful service and helped make our dining experience enjoyable, keeping our cups full and ice to the table. Willy (Cielomar) was attentive, friendly, and contributed to an excellent experience at the restaurant he answered all of our questions with the menu. Chef Cristhian led our private cooking class and made it both educational and fun. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and created a very memorable experience. He was sooo friendly and engaged with us while still teaching us what we were working with. We made the most delicious Sashimi and Ceviche. A must do experience. Jeanete created a special surprise for us at the experience also since we were celebrating my mom’s birthday! As far as the regular things, great rooms always clean, turndown service is wonderful, staff is everywhere always ready to help and direct you. We love pool service and in room dining. The showers in the room are some of my favorite, very spacious. I could go on and on but The Spa was life changing. MUST DO, I could say a lot more but just take my word for it the vitality pools are so good. Big fan of it all! Thank you Viceroy, be back soon!

My wife and I went for her birthday and it couldn’t have been more memorable! From the view walking down to our room, to the room itself, as well as the service, I’ve never been to a more luxurious place. Truly an experience that everyone should have once in life!

Our stay was incredible! We stayed 4 nights and it was a perfect getaway for a couple. Everything from the rooms to the service and the amenities was top-notch. Our host, Jacob, made sure that we were not only taken care of, but got the most out of experience. He helped with activities, questions and even got us discount on the hydrotherapy area of the spa. The variety of options for food on property was also a huge plus. We will be coming back soon!

Nido was beyond special! Wow what a gorgeous setting! Between the bar manager Hector (who personally delivered our first drinks), the Head Chef (Christian) who made a special off menu dish for us, and our superb server (Samantha)… We had an amazing experience! Mark (Nido Manager) also made sure our every need was met WITHOUT having to ask! Thank you Viceroy for starting our vacation off right!

I had an amazing experience at the spa . Make sure you ask first Scarlett . I went to her 2 days in a row because she was that amazing . Best massage I’ve ever had and this is coming from a massage therapist.

Absolutely great experience!! Got upgraded to a beautiful villa and all of the staff were so friendly and attentive. Our butlers Victor and Jacob were exceptional - always checking in and offering to help, and they organized a beautiful surprise birthday treat in the room for my husband’s birthday! All of the amenities were perfect for us all to enjoy: gym, kids club, dining options, room service, and of course the beautiful pools and beach! We barely left the resort :) cannot recommend it here enough for a group - family friendly but still very chic and high end. Will be back!!

Hosted a wedding (~70 people), all inclusive , beach wedding; cocktails on pool deck, reception roof. The people/staff are exceptional! 1 room issue was resolved & well handled. We were extremely well served to have a flawless wedding. There had been hiccups in planning but this less were resolved with some changes the weeks before wedding & the staff there now were perfection! Our villa was perfect! All guests impressed!

Victor and Jacob were amazing during our stay. They were very attentive and assisted with all of our needs. They made reservations for activities and dinner, and also gave great suggestions for things to do during our stay! The room and service while on property was amazing.Top notch views and great location. Everything we ate tasted very good. Highly recommend Viceroy hotel.

Viceroy is absolutely gorgeous. Every angle of the resort is picturesque, especially at sunset. Our junior suite room was spacious and very clean, both aesthetically and from the excellent housekeeping. We also chose to do the seafood cooking class with Chef Hector - that was probably the highlight of the whole trip. He walked us through amazing oysters, tuna with avocado, shrimp and octopus cocktail, and ceviche with aji sauce and plantain chips. For comparison, we also had dinner at the Four Seasons down the road, and the food we ate at the cooking class topped it by a lot. We also had dinner at Nido, the stunning sushi restaurant that looks like a birds nest on the reflecting pools. Special call out to Shamanta for the excellent service - she offered to take pictures of us and was very attentive and patient when we accidentally spilled our wine - thank you!! We also had fantastic personalized assistance from Jorge and Israel throughout our stay. My only note is that I wish the nightlife vibe was more lively, but this was a great stay for a relaxing trip to disconnect.

El hotel es bastante bueno, sus habitaciones bastante comodas. Creo la alberca es algo pequeña y deberia de haber otra mas en donde la gente pueda nadar ya que tiene espacios bastante amplios y creo algo mas utilizados. Pero es buena la ubicacion.

Yo creo algo que no me gusto es que te tratan de vender unos servicios de Spa que a mi manera estan algo elevados los precios. Tambien los precios en los restaurantes estan algo elevados. Una cerveza tiene un costo de $ 170 pesos lo cual es excesivo para un lugar en donde uno se quiere relajar pero a la vez no sentirse que lo estan asaltando en cada consumo que uno hace.

Omg I had the best time here!!! Staff is 10/10! I went to the spa and I had Scarlett ... let me tell you I've been all over the world and I've been to many spas! Scarlett was 100000/10... I woke up wondering where I was lol!! Go to the spa while you are here!!!

GG recommended a bottle of wine and it just so happened to be my favorite bottle of wine - Whispering Angel. It’s like he could read my mind! He brought it up to us from the beach to the upper deck pool, and was so nice and kind and friendly along the way. Can’t wait to see him again and come back to Viceroy again.

This was our third visit in as many years visiting the Viceroy Los Cabos. Aside from the location and views our favorite part of the property is the staff. From our hosts Laura and Oscar to Carlos and Karenn at breakfast the staff is warm and welcoming. Laura and Oscar are one of the reasons we will continue to return to the property. From pre-travel communication, arranging dinner reservations, recommending a local taco restaurant to making sure our anniversary was celebrated with bottles of sparkling wine, they made us feel at home. Even more impressively, they remembered some special treats we enjoyed the year before and surprised us with them, completely unprompted. The hotel itself is showing some wear around the pool area and elevators. It certainly is not the newest resort in the area. We were excited to hear about upcoming renovations. But, if you’re looking for a high quality resort with exceptional service, you can’t go wrong with the Viceroy Los Cabos.

GG , Caesar, & Jesus were incredible at the pool! 5 star service!! Jose made sure our towels & umbrella were set up However we wanted & moved them to keep the shade just where we wanted! Kudos to Arturo for a great pool staff!!! Fantastic experience! 5 star service with these guys!!

Francisco and GiGi were very welcoming and made us the best freestyle drinks we’ve ever had. we really enjoyed the service and want to say thank you for everything.

Well maintained. Beautiful rooms and excellent service. In particular we appreciated the ample sun loungers and quick and efficient beach waiter staff. Food orders on the beach were good, arrived fast and at a reasonable price.

The restaurants are indeed over priced and not in line with the value the rest of the hotel presents. Breakfast was particularly disappointing, so we had breakfast and dinner out on most days.

Our stay at the Viceroy Los Cabos in San José del Cabo was absolutely incredible. From the stunning property and beautiful amenities to the exceptional service, everything exceeded our expectations. We traveled with a large group, and our server, Glerbin, truly made the experience unforgettable. He was attentive, proactive, fun, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our group was taken care of. His energy and outstanding service added so much to our trip and created memories we’ll be talking about for years. If you’re planning a visit to the Viceroy, we highly recommend asking for Glerbin (also known as Gigi). He is a true professional and one of the biggest reasons our experience was so special. We can’t wait to come back!

The entire staff was very welcoming and kind for our entire trip. They constantly checked in on me and my fiancé to ensure we were taken care of. 3rd day in. Can’t think of a better place on the planet to be! The quality and service has been stellar across the board. Thank you Double G, Jesus, Giovanni for all the special pool side service and total peace and greetings from all the staff. Alexis and Jennifer as our personally assigned concierge has been so quick to help no matter the time. The fish ceviche, the drinks and all of the things have been exceptional. We have had the best vacation in the first 3 days even compared to some 7-10 days that we’ve taken other places. Everyone was very detail oriented and provided a great experience! Was very relaxing and clean and we all felt taken care of- especially my massage with Suneli was amazing!!

Overall, we had an amazing stay at the Viceroy Los Cabos. The property is absolutely stunning, the architecture is beautiful, and the service was generally very good. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite, which was spacious and comfortable, and we truly enjoyed our time there. There were a few minor issues. Upon arrival, the floors in our suite were noticeably dusty and dirty, though housekeeping addressed the issue promptly. Before our trip, we also experienced some frustration with confirming our reservation after a credit card authorization issue. It took several days and multiple phone calls to get everything sorted out, which was stressful given the importance of the trip. That said, neither of these issues significantly impacted our vacation, and once we arrived, we had a wonderful experience. My biggest criticism is the value. While the resort is beautiful and delivers a luxury experience, I don’t believe it justifies the extremely high price point. There are many excellent resorts in Cabo that offer a similar experience for considerably less. Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if budget is not a concern. However, if you’re looking for the best value for your money, you may want to explore other luxury options in Cabo before booking.

Love everything about this resort-especially cocktails by the pool! Jesus and Ignacio are the absolute best humans and made our vacation relaxing and enjoyable. The staff from check in to check out is amazing!

This was our first time in San Jose Del Cabo. We typically Vacation is Cabo San Lucas and we will plan our vacations at Viceroy in the future. It was our family summer vacation and our daughter turned six so the room was set up with balloons and HBD lights when we arrived. All the staff knew her name and acknowledged her throughout our stay. The accommodations were clean and comfortable in every way. The staff were very friendly and professional and our concierge Edin helped us with everything we needed including a reservation at a local restaurant that was “ booked up”. He was really amazing ! The food and drinks are pricey but there are a lot of restaurants nearby that provide many options at reasonable prices if you need to get away for some of your meals.

Edin made our stay much more pleasant from the moment we arrived! My friend and I always felt welcomed and cared for, our reservations were handled and we got very good advice depending on the mood we were feeling (even for stuff outside the hotel). Edin also made sure to accommodate our requests as much as possible - sometimes with little time in advance. Thank you so much for everything! It was the perfect stay

Our dinner at Nido was very good! The seafood was very fresh and everything was very flavorful.Samantha and Abraham provided very good service and it was an awesome experience overall. Would definitely recommend!

We got the premium room with an ocean view. It was a large room with King sized bed and a living room area that is separated by a short wall with a TV on each side of the wall. It has a bartender area with a fridge and 4 chairs, an open closet area with a safe, a bathroom area with a large bench space to hold our luggage. The balcony has a dining table and two large lounge beds. It was plenty of space and very clean. The floor was full on travertine; very comfortable walking around barefoot. Having the balcony with lounge beds was an excellent convenience. At times were totally lazy on the lounge beds and just stared out to pool areas and the sea. The bathroom has a large sink with two faucets. The shower was real nice with easy controls and three separate shower heads (two rain showers and one hand shower). This was over the top. The king bed was very comfortable with different levels of firm. The sheets were super comfortable to the skin. Oh yeah, the motorized blinds are a nice touch of convenience. Overall, I was very happy with the room. Dining: We tried all the restaurants on the grounds. The daily breakfasts at Casero were delicious. I had the eggs benedict, pancakes and pork sausage with eggs and hashbrowns, waffles with pork sausage and eggs, croque madame, chilaquiles with green sauce, salmon lox bagel, and huevos rancheros. All of them were good and tasty. Lunches there were also good. Gotta get their fish tacos; so tender and flaky with the perfect batter crunch. The salsas that came with it? So good, they are fire! At Awacate, they had a special Oaxacan tasting menu that we went for. While on the expensive side, we were served a lot of food. I thoroughly enjoyed each dish sample. Also had a drink from their special Mexican Gin menu that went very well with the dishes. The service was superb at every moment. The live music from the mariachis and vocalists was a nice enhancement of the scenery. Excellent dinner to start the vacay. The Nidito poolside restaurant was a nice experience while lying on the lounge bed. The service was excellent. We received plenty of help to move the umbrellas to keep us covered. The casual food was perfect for a poolside luncheon. We had fish tacos and fish and chips. Highly recommended both. At Cielomar, the service was excellent. We received much attention from the servers. The pork chop came out sizzling and delicious. I had the Sea Bass catch of the day: very tasty and flaky. Both were excellent, as we shared our entrees. We finished with the Lava Chocolate cake with ice cream. We liked this dessert so much, we when back to Cielomar another night just to have it again! At Nido, the hamachi tiridito sent waves of excellent Asian flavors in my mouth. The ate up all the shrimp tempura; so good with the dipping sauces. Then had the NY Strip Robotayaki, which was not bad for a version of yakitori in Los Cabos. We finished with a match tiramisu - fantastic finish! The Cooking Class: This was a total treat with a personal class taught by one of the executive chefs. Hector. We got to see details of preparation and to taste unique sauces for raw oysters, a fresh Mexican style shrimp cocktail, a special tuna sashimi flavored with a mixed soy sauce, and a fresh ceviche with a special signature aji sauce. Hector provided nice touches to the cuisine by talking about the background of each of the foods. Very interesting and enhanced my appreciation of the dishes. Spa: The Spa is a must do at least one day at the Viceroy. The massage, facial, and body scrub services were all excellent. The massages that I got took care of my muscles, and got me at the relaxed mental state that I totally needed. The added value of the spa is access to the hot baths, sauna, and steam shower services that are included with a treatment purchase. These services took me to another level of total relaxation and wellness, giving me much needed time to disconnect. Exercise facility: one of the best and most equipped I have seen. Includes two additional rooms: TRX/Spin studio, and an open studio for Yoga. The service of the hotel is top notch. We had a butler/concierge available to us for any questions and recommendations. Everyone on the grounds and restaurants were super friendly. We had housekeeping service twice a day. The evening turn down service was over the top. The location of the Viceroy was good as we could try some of the restaurants at a short walk. Catching an Uber on the street was easy to get to other shops and the Art Walk in downtown, which is a tourist must do. Overall, an excellent and very enjoyable vacation at the Viceroy Los Cabos. The service and friendless of the staff made the stay so relaxing.

We stayed at on of the Villas at the Viceroy Los Cabo . Our Consierge team Victor and Jacob were amazing . From ensuring our guest had everything we needed to scheduling services and store runs . So grateful for their service and the accommodations .

Everything was fabulous! Victor & Jacob reached out to me once our room was booked. From there they helped with booking airport transportation and babysitting. Francisco was an excellent driver and we enjoyed having him drive us to and from dinners offsite and back to the airport. He even found and returned my favorite sunglasses to me after leaving them in his car the night before. While staying we used the babysitting services onsite. Ms Brenda was the best. Our son loved spending the day with her at Kids Club and she had no problem entertaining and putting him to bed in the evenings. She was also the most communicative with us and kept us updated the entire time!

The gym was great! Large space with all the equipment you could need including a sled, boxing bag, training tower and two separate rooms. They also offer 3 training classes each day. I went each day and Ruby was an excellent coach taking me through challenging routines and cheering me on. We were there for a week and the gym was never crowded.

This place is a total gem. We felt like we were in paradise. So fun when you find something like this place. The staff was incredible and our valets Victor and Jacob were amazing.

Where to begin when I share about Israel and Jorge, our wonderful Concierge Team @Viceroy Cabo?!? Every need we had from a dinner reservation that was not just made, but changed and changed again due to our timelines getting shifted to tracking and securing for us a very unique Cannon camera battery that did not arrive in time before our trip, to being attentive each day and warm with nothing but golden hearts to help make our trip memorable and fun. They have been wonderful dedicated hosts. The family trip we had this time was effortless and they were a major reason for it. Thabk you and we can’t wait to see you again soon!

Excellent service and excellent quality

Ann gave me the deep tissue massage of my life. No words to describe how much I loved this massage.

The Good: -- Masseur and massage were amazing. The massage facilities are nice and punch a bit above their level for this caliber of resort. -- Breakfast service: Continuous great service from the team. -- Housekeeping was fantastic and always on time. The fine/OK: -- Beach service is generally what you'd expect from a resort of this caliber. Generally attentive but can be hit or miss at the pool or other areas. They also don't know how to make a pina colada that actually has flavor and had to remake it. The Bad: -- The worst part: Our dedicated "host" (i.e., concierge) focused his attention on my partner, who is white, while I'm not. I'd have to assume it's because he thought my partner was the one paying for the vacation, but it was clear that the reservation was in my name, the host saw me pay twice (once for incidentals and when we checked in), and I gave him my phone number to reach me (and not my partner). Little eye contact my way or any conversation -- it was all directed toward my partner. This treatment also continued at the end of the stay, which left a very bad taste in my mouth. This tells me one of two things: -- The staff don't know who is who and didn't take the time to learn (even though they identified us by passports). They don't pay attention to when we introduced ourselves; OR -- There is bias and they assume white people are the ones that should be addressed. Non-white folks can be secondary. Which is it? ++++ Other issues: -- The resort plays loud music starting at 9:30am by the pool. Think club music, not relaxing. I asked for it to be turned down and the response was "it's for the guests." After 30 mins or so, they were finally able to lower the volume for the speaker close to us. -- The room, while large, had broken sink drain stoppers on both sinks. The toilet also failed to flush but we managed to fix it ourselves by re-attaching a part. -- Prices are steep for what you're getting, although that's generally true of Cabo. Expect $21 cocktails and $30+ pizzas, etc. -- The resort added a small donation to a "foundation" on our incidental bill. They neither disclosed this nor asked for my consent. They did offer to remove the "donation" after I asked them what this was (but didn't explain further). No idea what this charity is. More transparency is required if this is a legitimate foundation. -- I also found them asking twice to be reviewed on Tripadvisor to be in poor taste of a luxury resort.

Amazing costumer service ( specifically from Estefania ) and food was excellent!

This is our second time at this property. We stayed in one of the villas with our family for our wedding week. It was the perfect place to host a family. The service was impeccable. Victoria and Mariana helped make everything effortless before and during our stay - from wireless speakers to grocery shopping to restaurant reservations and pre-set menus to boat charters. It exceeded all our expectations.

Great location in a beautiful hotel. Our butler team, Victor & Jacob, were really on top of things. They were very responsive. I had asked for a drip coffee maker because I like to bring my own coffee. They made sure it was there in the room when I arrived. They arranged transportation for my husband & I as well as my daughter & partner. My daughter forgot something in the room after she left for the airport and they helped in the coordination to get it back to her. This was our third time at Viceroy Cabo. We are never disappointed. This last trip, GeGe was our server at the pool; he was amazing! So dedicated to his job and just a great guy! We had two 2-hour massages during our stay. Both of mine were with Jose Justo; so fantastic!!! My husband’s massage was by Scarlett; also a great experience. Throughout the resort the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend staying here.

The service throughout our entire stay was nothing short of outstanding. What truly impressed us was the consistency, every single team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our experience special. Fantastic week spent at Viceroy Los Cabos! Everything was top notch but I want to specially highlight the attention of ALL staff, in all restaurants, pools, gym, spa, etc., especially Oscar, Phoebe, Ismail, Gigi, Abraham, Eric, and Jesus.

Disappointing in so many ways. The exterior is beautiful, well maintained, excellent staff. Cement stairs everywhere but no handrails (I'm 75 so this is rather important). No filtered water dispenser anywhere for personal water bottles. Lots of plastic bottles in the rooms, other water costs $8/bottle. We traveled with 3 people in our room and so used the sofa bed. This was never set back into a sofa making the living area unusable during the day. No hooks anywhere for hanging robes in the bathroom or for wet swim suits. No reading lights - lights off in the bedroom meant lights off everywhere. Room service breakfast of 3 mimosas and 3 sweet rolls (cost of $100) came with one napkin and no plates. Only one mug was ever provided for the poorly working coffee machine - despite requests we couldn't get a replacement or extra mugs or coffee pods. As the room cost over $1000/day this is not what I'd consider luxury that is worth spending your money on. We are three middle income folks who wanted a lovely vacation and were sad about our choice.

I just had the best massage of my life, and I have to give a huge thank-you to Nancy. From the moment the session started, she was incredibly attentive, professional, and clearly very skilled at what she does. Nancy immediately understood exactly where I was holding tension and worked through those areas with the perfect balance of pressure and technique. Every movement felt intentional and therapeutic — not just relaxing, but genuinely effective. By the end of the session I felt completely reset: relaxed, loose, and pain-free. What really stood out was how intuitive she was. She adjusted pressure perfectly and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. It’s rare to find someone who is both highly technical and deeply calming in their approach. If you’re looking for a massage that truly makes a difference, Nancy is exceptional. I’ll absolutely be coming back and would recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding massage experience.

Everything about The Viceroy experience was exceptional from the atmosphere, food, service, restaurants! Every member of the staff where outstanding, especially our butler Alexis who was available for all our needs!

Long time reader of TripAdvisor, not much of a poster but felt it necessary given my experience at the Viceroy. I looked over a year's worth of reviews of this resort and want to share my notes. THE PROs: 1). The resort is what appears on the pics, beautiful and one of a kind. Modern, clean lines, and an architects mushroom'd dream. 2). The guests = great people watching. Think older folks, mid 30s the youngest, mid 50s the average, with disposable cash and looks to prove it. Lots of couples, many from metro areas in CA or the East Coast (NYC) with some Europeans sprinked in. A few kids as well though they were pretty well behaved and were rarely a distraction. 3). Noise - or lack thereof. We stayed in building 5 a barely heard any neighbors or resort noise, save for if you open your balcony doors, but even then it's peaceful and quite. I don't get any sense of a "club" scene at all, with some music coming out of speakers by the beach pool, but really not much out of the restaurants and bar. 4). Clean - hard to find any guest litter, everything was washed, picked-up, mopped, sanded, etc to near perfection. 5). Transparency on costs - outside of resort fee, the room cost and extra charges were exactly what I calculated. 6). The service is really the crown jewell here, I read so many other reviews that list a handful of people and initially found that to be irrelevant; but after a 3night stay, I understand that the entire staff, waiters, butlers, factilities workers, all go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. So here I go...shout out to Jesus, the best pool side waiter I've ever had; Rosa, the sweetest waiter; Victoria our Butler that tended to our requests; Fernando our waiter at Nido, simply brought the fun. AREAS of IMPROVEMENT Only a few to think of and none of them even close to a deal breaker 1). Wish we had more/bigger wastebaskets in our room 2). We had only one closet hook to put our wet bathing suits on 3). We thought we paid for our entire room up front via Amex, but got hit with a $290 USD resort fee, which I thought we would have taken care of via the Amex website POSITIVES SURROUNDING THE VICEROY 1). Weather, we went the 3rd week of February and the weather was perfect. Nothing to do with the resort but complete sun 4 days in a row really showed off the Viceroy's landscape. 2). San Jose - just a 8-10min Uber from the hotel, we went Thurs night for Art Walk and the scene was fun but nothing to a Cancun Spring Break vibe; populated but not crowded, clean and safe. Dinner at La Lupita made the best tacos I've had in a looooong time 3). Flora Farms/Acre - about a 15-20min drive, but close and incredible grounds to visit when in Cabo 4). La Comer - whole foods type grocery basically across the street from the resort, grab some sundries and fill up your room's mini fridge Net-net: the Viceroy isn't cheap, but you will feel a ROI+ given the hotel grounds, the fellow guests, the service, the 1%ers experience, and the good vibes. We've done the LeBlanc in Cabo last year and wouldn't even think of another spot in Cabo than the Viceroy.

I was sent to San Jose del Cabo for a business situation and extended my stay at the Viceroy. It was one of the resorts I had heard of but never had been to before. I was pleasantly surprised at the layout and was given a personal concierge Victor. He was very kind and helpful and went above and beyond to assist with some hiccups along the way even after I had come home we stayed in touch to complete a task. Additionally the front desk staff and servers we all fantastic and made me feel special..ill definitely be back! Muchas Gracias

Amazing service throughout the resort! Especially our butler Jacob with the help of Victor. We especially loved the big loungers by the beach pools with great shade and delicious food and warm pools.

The hotel was in a perfect location for our vacation itinerary. Easy walk to the market and downtown. We enjoyed watching whales breach from our ocean view room with coffee each morning. Onsite breakfast was good and we were not charged for bottled water in our room. All the staff on site were polite.

There was really nothing to not like during our stay. Not sure why they charge for bottled water at meals when you get it for no charge in your room.

My stay was incredible, I went to celebrate my 63rd birthday with my wife. The hotel is beautiful, its warmth and wonderful people made me want to return, although we had a small issue in the pool, Gustavo took care of giving us attention and we were able to turn something uncomfortable into something great. Without a doubt, we will return.

A wonderful experience staying at Viceroy. All the waiters are very friendly, quick and make you feel seen. The remember you from years ago. Good sign that you see the same employees, after all these year, that says a lot. Eapecially Carlos is a super waiter :) a very kind, friendly, good sense of humor and you can see he loves his job.

My friend and I had a great time at Viceroy Los Cabos. Everyone was helpful and friendly. And a special shout out to Victor, our Butler, who was always available, always asked to help and see what we needed, and went above and beyond for us. Definitely increased the enjoyment of our stay. It was mostly couples during our stay, but we found everyone to be very nice. It was clean, quiet and very chic. It's very expensive, as others have said. In fact, I think it's over priced for what you pay for and preferred eating offsite. More reasonable prices - and this isn't an affordability question, it's a value for money and where do I want to spend my money question - and we would've definitely tried the restaurants and bars. But with other options easy to get to....another shout out to the breakfast staff. They were excellent every single day, making sure we had what we needed. I don't remember names as I was too busy to write the review until now, but they all deserve recognition!

Highly recommend. The property is one of the most beautiful I have ever been to. I rate everything a 10. Our villa was breath taking. All the restaurants had excellent food. The tacos at Nidito are the best. Try the steak quesadilla too! The service was amazing from arrival to departure. Friendly staff. The spa and gym were superb . We would definitely go back. There are a lot of room configurations that are quite unique and inviting. The best is the water features through out the property . So unique! You feel like the resort is in the ocean.

Stayed at the viceroy over valentines weekend. Resort was great and staff had tremendous service. Particularly the concierge team led by Victor. I highly recommend.

We had such an amazing time. The staff are so well trained to be friendly and of service. Food was awesome in all restaurants. Our most coveted experience was having Alexis as out host. He was on call 24/7 and would handle anything from reservations to spa to our hot tub not working. He was FLAWLESS and went far above the call of duty! He MADE our weekend!! I would HIGHLY recommend this property and getting the HOST AND SPA package!! ( the spa was the first spa that my wife and i could steam/ sauna/ cold plunge/ hot tub and massage together. Super fun!!!). Thank you Viceroy and THANK YOU ALEXIS!!!!

This was our first time at Viceroy Lis Cabos and we had a fantastic time. The location and property are stunningly beautiful and minimalistic. Just tranquil. All of the staff specifically our hosts Jorge and Israel went above and beyond. From dinner reservations to making sure they were available for the smallest details. We could not have been happier.
