Very friendly and professional stuff. Great location. Good facilities food good. Lots of space for evening time pleasures. Quite nights.

Location is fantastic with a lovely walk along the river into the centre of York and free parking too. Room was clean and comfortable. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and staff super helful.

Great facilities like all the UK YHA hostels. Very clean. Each bed had a power socket and light. There were individual lockers in the dorm. Plenty of on-site parking. The guy who checked me in at night was really helpful.

Quite pricey for the dorm compared to other YHAs I've stayed at. No ensuite in the dorm (but there was a sink). It's about a 20 min walk to York town centre.

La chaleur irrespirable alors que la canicule était finie depuis 2 jours et qu'il faisait 16° dehors. Le ventilateur fourni n'était absolument pas suffisant. Se réveiller avec l'impression d'étouffer n'est pas normal quand une simple aération de la chambre (impossible avec les fenêtres actuelles) aurait réglé le souci.

It was only a small walk to the centre along the river. Good facilities.

The room was very clean and the bedsheets were fresh. Check in staff was efficient and friendly. Same with checking out. Smooth and easy.

Nothing that I dislike. I will certainly stay in YHA hostels in the future. Super value for money!!!

Reasonable accommodation for the price, the reception area is nice and the staff were very welcoming and friendly Room is basic but for the price and the fact I just needed a bed to sleep in and somewhere to shower it did the job

Room was great location was in good distance for the city centre facilities were very well staff were friendly and helpful parking was good for staying over night room was clean and great for the 4 of us.

The floors could have been hoovered a bit more And overall good cleanliness no further comments to say was all great

The private room for 8 was spacious. Toilet had a separate door in the en suite. Staff were very helpful and breakfast very good. I took 6 grandchildren 6-15 and they loved the experience

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man hatte die Möglichkeit Wäsche zu waschen und zu trocknen.

A comfortable stay. Nice, spacious and cosy room for family. The stay lived up to the expectations from YHA. The location was 10 mins walk from the city centre.

Nous avons passé une nuit. La chambre privée était confortable mais nous aurions aimé pouvoir ouvrir complètement la fenêtre pour plus d'air frais. Sinon les installations sont très bien, il y a de la place et c'était très calme. Bon séjour.

Personnel très gentil, accueillant et donne de bonnes recommandations. Couloirs calmes et peu fréquentés. Literie confortable.

Only a pleasant half hour scenic walk into York centre along the river bank. We enjoyed our stay. It was clean and the beds was ok. Breakfast was ok too. Can’t complain at nothing really. It was reasonably priced for us for a one night stay to put our heads down. This is our second stay

Free parking. Excellent cafe/bar area. Kitchen facilities very clean and organised. Secure doors.

Need at least 3 large sets of washer/ dryers. Laundry system gets bogged down with only one set of very small w/d and dryer needs 2x 50 mins. Internet very weak Cabinets in our room t15 had no shelves or drawers to organize clothes ...only one cabinet and a place to hang clothes!!! ( ps noone brings hangers to a hostel!) So our stuff was all over the floor

Posizione eccezionale per visitare York, parcheggio disponibile nella struttura. Staff gentilissimo e disponibile, area comune ben attrezzata e ambiente rilassante. La cucina era fornita di tutto il necessario e la nostra camera disponeva di doccia e bagno privato.

La camera non era pulitissima e la luce di emergenza notturna era un po' fastidiosa. Per un breve soggiorno è sopportabile, forse soggiornando per più giorni sarebbe stato un problema.

Some of the guests can be quite rude and didn't seem like sharing facilities which is strange considering that you booked a hostel

Le personnel était très serviable et souriant (c'est par égard à leur service que je mets quand même 4, sinon la note serait inférieure), le prix est abordable (heureusement!). Il est très bien situé pour visiter York, l'entrée du parking est assez jolie et verdoyante, on s'attend donc à une adresse correcte, bien que ce ne soit pas le cas. C'est à peu près tout ce que je peux dire de positif sur cet établissement. Tout le reste oscille entre médiocre à catastrophique!

YHA et une chaîne d'hôtels bas de gamme (nous ne connaissions pas, puisque ca n'existe pas en France, heureusement) avec des chambre indignes même pour une catégorie économique: aucun espace pour circuler dans la chambre à étage que nous avons eue, éclairage très faible voire lugubre, lits ridiculement inconfortables à cause de matelas 1er prix inacceptable dans un hôtel (et même un trou dans la literie!), douche cabine minuscule avec jet d'eau non réglable et propreté indigne. De plus, alors que j'avais réservé une chambre avec lit double + lits superposés, on a essayé de me donner à mon arrivée une chambre avec 4 lits superposés... Avant d'avoir évidemment feint l'erreur quand je suis revenu à la réception, bilan: 10 minutes perdues et des valises qu'on a dû balader dans tout ce labyrinthique hôtel. Ce n'est pas un hôtel de vacances dans un pays développé, mais une escroquerie pure et simple.

Les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent que très peu et il faisait assez chaud. A 6 dans la chambre, nous avons vraiment mal dormi. Dommage, je suis sûr que c'est mieux d'habitude !

Good location a short walk from the city centre. Hostel & facilities were clean, and staff friendly. Bar was reasonably priced. As a base for my short stay it was perfect. I stayed in a private family room with more than enough room for us all and a toilet 1 door away.

Le lieu est très agréable et assez calme. L'accueil a été très chaleureux et sympathique. L'établissement est à une vingtaine de minutes à pied du centre de York, en marchant le long de l'eau, ce qui rend la balade très agréable. Bon rapport qualité-prix

the breakfast was not great value for money , asked for hot water to make a drink and the caddy was replaced with an empty 1 , the fried eggs were rubbery and the only thing that was hot was the plates . plenty ov continental selections which made up for the cooked food

Nothing I didn’t really like, plastic mattresses were a bit odd and the room was really hot but manageable for a few nights and ultimately it’s a hostel, I’m not expecting the ritz!

Ubytování se nachází v klidné části města, přibližně 25 minut chůze od centra. Z bezpečnostních důvodů je většina dveří zabezpečena čipovou kartou. Navštívili jsme více hostelů YHA a s tímto jsme byli zatím nejspokojenější, především z hlediska hluku na chodbách.

The building itself is really accessible and easy to park next to. The check-in, staff and public facilities were really nice and had AC! It was fun to see a lot of other travellers in the area. It's extremely well situated and we were able to walk into town from the hostel.

The rooms are dormitory-like (which is as advertised), and windows barely open (which is also customary in the UK). I learned later that we could've borrowed a fan from the reception... don't be like me. Some of the outlets and lights in the room didn't work. The shared bathrooms have no counter space so taking a shower with your personal items and a change of clothes can be a difficult affair. It's also quite a trek from the reception to the rooms themselves, so if you have large luggage be ready to drag it around a few flights of stairs.

Clean room and great facilities. Spacious enough for the guys we had present and easy enough to book, check in and check out.

Posizione a circa 25 minuti a piedi dal centro,immersa nella natura,struttura molto grande con ampi spazi per gli ospiti.

Tutto ok ,forse a chi non piace camminare un po distante dal centro se si viaggia senza auto ma per me era ok,anzi camminata piacevole.

There were a lot of squirrels in the yards, and the facilities were clean, the staff was very kind.

Room was very nice, clean and a good size. Staff were mostly friendly welcoming and helpful. The facilities were decent. Overall better than I expect for hostel.

Room's were a bit hot but it had been a really hot day. Not a great deal could have been done.
