the customer service
the room smell and the noise level
Very clean. Staff was attentive and warm.
Shower was difficult to set at a comfortable temperature.
Beautiful
Elevator wasn’t working and I had to walk down stairs on crutches to spa area.
The property is beautiful, breathtaking even, the bed was very comfortable, the room AC worked, the hot tub and pool area was amazing even had a locker room for you to change and shower in before.
No free breakfast.. with the amount for ONE night being almost $400 no free breakfast was disappointing. The room did not have a microwave which was also disappointing. And then the mini fridge and the thermostat could definitely use some updating..
The location was in close proximity of stores, entertainment facilities and spa treatments.
The distance waking through the hotel to get to different areas.
Nice environment. Everything keeped up nicely. From the outside to the inside.
The café staff needs some training to serve customers. Long line. One EE was working, and 3 others were staying around and chatting
Bed was comfortable.
Lack of room amenities, no cutlery, glassware or cups. Plastic and paper throwaway only. Room smelt musty and old, the hotel was aged. I felt unwelcome by staff in the hotel restaurant, I wasn't the only one to be turned away and told not to even bother with room service.
Clean, welcoming, and comfortable
I didn’t like minimum towels and I also didn’t like neighbors noise
The staff was incredibly helpful. They always seemed happy to see us. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
Peaceful with friendly staff, amazing food and a welcoming atmosphere. It really feels like home.

The dinner was amazing. Everything was superb! I will be back very soon.
Only issue I would say is not knowing the location of the bike trails and the associate did not know as well.
The property itself
Rooms need just everything digital
It was beautiful and the staff was nice
I didn’t like the fact that I was there on business and they had no printer that was working and the computers and printers was sooo old that they didn’t work and I had to leave early to go to the library and find a printer
It's a lovely place. Wonderful pools and hot tub. A game room/cafe with entertainment for the family, a coffee shop, and a restaurant. We enjoy everything here.
This was an anniversary staycation. I made a request prior to coming that we have a high floor room. They accommodated us by giving us a room on the 11th floor, overlooking the golf course. The food was great! We ordered room service twice during our 2 night stay. Room service and restaurant staff were friendly. I had a spa treatment on my last day, the dry brush. I LOVED IT - I fell asleep during the service because I felt so relaxed. We will definitely return again.
The door to our room was hard to open and closed really hard. We literally had to fight with the door to get it opened. A couple of other guests mentioned having the same issue.
My friend and I went for a semi-annual girl’s shopping trip. The Grandover is our FAVORITE place to stay while in Greensboro! The hotel is so inviting, peaceful, and comfortable. From the moment you walk in you are warmly greeted and feel so at home. The decor is stunning and the rooms are very comfortable, especially the beds. At night it’s fun to sit out on the patio next to the cafe’ and sip on some wine. The cost is very reasonable and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay so pleasant!
Everything was amazing!
Long wait for food for dinner, they made up for it during breakfast! We will be back next month! 😂
Lovely place to explore, stay, and play. A fun little game room and café, so much artwork, dining, drinks, and lovely pool and hot tub experiences. We ran out of time to do everything!! The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms offer a good sized rain shower experience. All the service workers greet you kindly. The location was perfect and felt easy to access Greensboro while still being very private and out from the city bustle.
There needs to be a few short cuts offered from the pool to the café or to the rooms. The pool to guest quarters elevator was apparently broken during our stay (they kindly gave us this heads up at check in) so we felt a little out of place walking our wet family (little wet kids!!) down a gorgeous corridor of expensive art each time we went to and from the pool. It may have gotten fixed later as we didn't check again, to be fair. It also was quite the distance to get food and bring it back to the pool so be prepared and take food with you! Still totally a wonderful place... just a heads up!
Would I stay here again? Yes. Here's the context: I was traveling alone with my kids, and safety was my number one priority. Greensboro has its share of questionable hotels, so I was willing to pay more for a place where I felt secure. We're a Disney resort family, but we rarely stay in ultra-luxury 4- or 5-star hotels. We appreciate a nice resort, but we're also realistic. The Grandover was nice enough, and whether you'll love it really depends on what you're looking for. We booked last minute and ended up with a room by the elevator. I expected noise, but it was surprisingly minimal. The room itself was clean and odor-free. The lobby and exterior are absolutely beautiful, and the staff were consistently polite. The resort is also easy to navigate. That said, there are a few things to know before booking. The property definitely has a 1990s luxury hotel vibe and is showing its age in places. Some areas could use repairs, and the elevators needed a good wipe-down. The hallway on our floor had that unmistakable stink bug smell, but thankfully it never made it into our room. The indoor pool area is gorgeous... but the temperature completely ruined it for me. It felt like walking into a sauna. The stagnant, hot, humid air made it uncomfortable just sitting there while my son swam. Staff, if you ever read reviews—please turn the heat down in that room! Nothing about it felt relaxing. The pool atmosphere also wasn't exactly what I expected from a family-friendly resort. There was a fair amount of drinking, some rowdy guests, and one group was smoking and blasting music with explicit lyrics despite the posted no-smoking rules. To the hotel's credit, I did see uniformed security step in after what I assume was a complaint, and they handled the situation. Unfortunately, a few guests can quickly take away from the otherwise classy feel of the property. As a parent, it was also a little awkward watching kids play while couples were openly making out in the pool. Again, not the hotel's fault, but something families should know. The food was excellent. The mattresses were comfortable, although I wish they used fully encased mattress protectors and better-fitting sheets. (I'm the person who checks every hotel room for bed bugs the minute I arrive—even in upscale hotels.) The pillows are feather down, which some people love. Personally, I found them a little too flat by morning, but they were acceptable. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again because I felt safe, the staff were kind, the rooms were relatively clean, and the food was very good. If you're visiting Greensboro and safety is your top concern, I'd recommend choosing the Grandover, O.Henry Hotel, or Proximity Hotel. In my opinion, those are worth paying for. Greensboro has some great hotels—but it also has plenty I'd rather not risk, especially when traveling alone with children.
Beautiful property Staff was friendly and helpful Room was ready early
**4/5** We stayed at the Grandover over the Fourth of July weekend and had an enjoyable stay overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, and our room was clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, very quiet. While everything was well maintained, both the room and the hotel as a whole are beginning to feel a bit dated and could benefit from some updates. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and the golf course is clearly very well maintained, making for a pleasant setting to relax and walk around. My biggest complaint was the indoor pool area. It was suffocatingly hot, with very little ventilation. The air felt stagnant and humid, making it uncomfortable to spend much time there. Improving the ventilation would make a significant difference. Overall, this is a solid hotel with excellent service, peaceful accommodations, and beautiful grounds. With some modernization and improvements to the indoor pool area, it would easily earn five stars.
Excellent
Everything was great
I like how clean and cozy the rooms work. I also like the amenities.
I didn’t like how they did not have free breakfast available. I also didn’t like that we weren’t allowed to check in until after 4:30 due to the rooms not being cleaned.
I enjoyed to much to list the art gallery, the room cleanliness the 1808 bar and restaurant pool & spa area
Nothing
Clean , and nice customer service
The didn’t have a microwave and a compact fridge
It’s beautiful.
There were patches in the carpets, it’s obviously seen better days.
I was a visitor at your lovely spa and I had two wonderful young ladies that made my experience an enjoyable and relaxing experience. One of the young ladies that showered me with such kindness was Tatyana and the other young lady that made everything pleasurable was Yasmeen. Isaiah is the best massage therapist ever. I have been getting massages for around ten years now and he has been the best I've experienced!
After a bumpy start, our visit was fine. This was not our first time staying at the Grandover, so we knew what to expect. It's a relaxing atmosphere, and the restaurant is above average.
My wife and I were given a gift card for the stay. I called the hotel requesting information on how to use it. I was advised to make the reservation using a website and then pay with the gift card when checking out. Unfortunately, the desk clerk did not explain that the reservation had to be made on the Grandover.com website. That meant we had to pay for the room out of pocket. It was an avoidable and unexpected expense. I fault the front desk clerk.
Fint svømmebasseng, store og fine rom
Beautiful place
Good was reasonably priced. Good food for breakfast and dinner. Hotel is very clean with attentive staff. Would book again without hesitation.
Pricing was steep for NC
The cleanness and staff the property nice and Quiet, restaurant are good.
Everything were nice except pillows wasn’t comfortable too flat.
Recently, four girlfriends and I visited Grandover Resort for a staycation as a belated Mother’s Day celebration—our first trip away from our babies. We were looking forward to a relaxing day of spa services, dinner, and drinks at the resort. The front desk and concierge staff were wonderful and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience at the spa left us disappointed. A couple of the mothers in our group needed to pump before their massages. As first-time moms navigating this situation away from our babies, we were unaware that we could request a private room and instead used a corner of the locker room. The spa manager approached us, stating that she had received multiple complaints. While she was polite, the situation could have been handled with more sensitivity and discretion, given the circumstances. After that interaction, we felt uncomfortable and self-conscious, and it seemed as though the staff were repeatedly checking on us, which made the remainder of our spa experience awkward. My massage therapist was kind, but the service felt inexperienced at times. Several moments felt uncomfortable, including awkward positioning (on his knees during the massage, whispering in my ear, towel placement on my buttocks/back), accidentally turning off the lights during the massage, and extended periods where he stepped away without explanation. We did enjoy lunch at the café; however, after reviewing my credit card statement, I discovered that I had been charged twice for the meal. Lastly, our dining experience was also disappointing. When we called to make reservations, we were told the restaurant was completely booked for the evening and were only able to secure an 8:00 PM reservation. However, when we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be only about 25% full. Service was extremely slow; over the course of a two-and-a-half-hour dinner, we saw our waitress only a handful of times, and there were long waits for both drinks and food. It’s possible the restaurant was short-staffed, but the overall experience did not reflect the level of service we expected from a resort of this caliber. While there were certainly some positive aspects to our visit, these issues ultimately overshadowed what was meant to be a special and relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we do not plan to return. I recommend just spending the money at the Omni Grove Park Inn instead or going to a local spa instead!
The outside spaces and walking path were wonderful.
The location, the pool & spa
Everything
I called the front desk regarding the buffet breakfast. She knew nothing about the cost etc. and gave me another number. Told me the days the breakfast buffet would be open. She should have suggested that reservations are recommended but she did not. So when we went to the buffet for breakfast was told it was over an hour wait. I told them why didn"t someone suggest reservations. The did not know, so we ended up going out for breakfast, Very disappointed. Poor communication
More knowledge of the facilities For example times of breakfast, elevator location etc.
Friendly staff and clean!
I booked a room for one evening to celebrate my wife’s birthday and attend a concert in Greensboro that evening. I also scheduled massages for us at the spa. The hotel is beautiful and our room was very comfortable. We booked 80 minute massages which were outstanding. Breakfast the next morning in the restaurant was very good. A great experience can’t wait to go back.

We used Grandover Resort & Spa for our hotel block during our wedding weekend. Rebekah was extremely helpful in not only setting up the hotel block for our guests, but keeping us updated and organized throughout the process. Our guests all enjoyed their stay and gave raving reviews. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay!
Food in restaurant excellent
I highly recommend The Grandover Resort if you are looking for a night away or staying for a week. We had my son’s wedding there and it was absolutely perfect. The Resort has so many amenities, there is something for everyone. Rebekah DeMarcantonio was simply amazing. She was so easy to work with and helped out tremendously in planning the perfect Rehearsal Dinner. Rebekah made the whole weekend the perfect wedding weekend. We had our Rehearsal Dinner in The Griffin Room and I highly recommend it. It’s absolutely stunning. Carolina was our bartender both nights and she was fantastic. She was always smiling and so fun to be around. The overall staff, at The Grandover Resort, was truly amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We had the best weekend ever at an extraordinary venue!! We will definitely be going back!
Came to play golf and ordered food on cart, only to be told when I go in on back nine to the cafe I have to go to back of some long line full of people not playing golf, seems ridiculously will not be coming back after such a terrible experience !
Ambiance, customer service and overall great hotel accommodation experience! Golf course is a must for avid golfers. Hit it short versus long off the tee.
Staff was great. Restaurant was awesome and my server was the best. Her food auggeatu9ns were spot on.
Terrible customer service. Every single item any employee touched was a hot mess like they’ve never done it before. Check in: failed to give us the necessary vouchers for massages and fo brunch. No offer to help with luggage. Bellhop: non existent. Not enough people working valet to park cars. Had to leave bags and give up and park ourselves. Massages: double charged with a weak apology. One of our friends said her massage therapist was on his phone (!!!) and couldn’t tell you which one bc they’re all named Steven. Dinner: double charged my friend. Service SLOW. Food mediocre but priced liked luxury. Brunch: said there weren’t any reservations when we called. Day of- Walked right in and got a table. Service very slow even with lots of empty tables. But not before requiring 3 front desk staff to find our vouchers. That were sitting at the front desk with our names clearly marked on them. Rooms were ok! Checkout: again they were confused and it took 3 employees. Fridges in rooms are so old. Coffee shop closes early on saturdays (whyyyyy) and is mediocre. Service very slow. Broken glass on lights above your head in coffee shop. Nothing about this felt luxe. I’ll go to Omni Homestead, Pinehurst, greenbrier or even grove park before I’ll come back here. Staff is slow and is not very motivated. Food meh. Decor outdated. The grandeur of the Grandover is gone.
Es war alles perfekt
Room Service täglich musste man anfordern
As someone who travels often and regularly stays in luxury properties, I have a clear understanding of what constitutes acceptable service—and what does not. My arrival experience at Grandover Resort & Spa fell far below even basic hospitality standards. I arrived at the front entrance, a solo female traveler, alone after a long day of travel and work, a physically demanding day, in poor weather—with three large suitcases. I expected, at minimum, a bellman. I waited. No one came. No one acknowledged me. No one offered assistance. I ultimately had no choice but to unload all of my luggage myself and leave it UNATTENDED at the front door, then walk to the parking lot, park my car and walk back through the wind and rain to check in. To add insult to injury, and already wet and exhausted, the front desk’s response was to offer me a bell cart so I could transport my own luggage to my room. Let that sink in. There was no meaningful apology, no urgency, and no attempt at service recovery—no courtesy gesture of any kind. Instead, I was given a casual explanation that the bell staff were assisting another " important" guest off campus. That explanation only underscores the issue. Properly managed hotels do not leave arriving guests unattended because staff are elsewhere. They staff appropriately, especially during Highpoint Market, communicate proactively, and recover immediately when service fails. None of that occurred here. This is not a minor lapse—it is a fundamental failure in operations and guest care. A property that markets itself as a resort should understand that arrival sets the tone for the entire stay. In this case, the tone was indifference. Luxury is defined by service, not branding. And in this instance, the service was entirely absent. I would greatly appreciate a direct and substantive response from management outlining how this situation was allowed to occur, why no service recovery was offered, and what concrete steps have been implemented to ensure future guests do not have a similar experience. I have two more nights at this hotel, and quite frankly, if I wanted this level of service, I would have stayed at a La Quinta. 😡🔥😡
Wow I cannot recommend this place enough. Rebekah was fantastic from the very beginning when I was inquiring and then throughout the entire planning process. She was so accommodating and flexible. The staff is amazing from the bellhops , to the front desk and restaurants. Carolina in banquets was absolutely amazing. Her personality and attitude stood out the most . She also makes fantastic drinks ;) Shevic in the Cafe Expresso bar was also amazing she remembered our drinks and was so awesome to talk with. The whole experience was seamless and I didn’t have to worry about anything. If you are looking for a wedding venue please consider the Grandover . They also have 2 two story suites . This made for the perfect place to get ready in. So much room and just a beautiful view. I miss it so much already
Clean. Nice staff.
No microwaves.
I asked to heat up food as there is only a fridge in each room. Was told the microwave in the restaurant closed at 10pm by concierge.
Very relaxing

The breakfast was good and the staff was very kind. Especially the security guard.
There was a man that tried to attack me and my friend while staying. I believe maybe he was drunk. It made the stay very uncomfortable & I didn’t get to enjoy the facilities out of fear of seeing the man again. I’m not sure if he was staying at the hotel or just there for the bar. But it felt like a waste of money because I couldn’t really enjoy myself. The security guard walked us up to our room thankfully, but there wasn’t much else the staff did to accommodate anything.
Location and comfy beds.
Prices didn’t match up when booking with third party.
This was the absolutely best experience ever. Mariah was amazing along with Milly. We celebrated our 3 years here as a group - Validated for Purpose Women's Ministry Inc. annual Retreat. The rooms, food and location is 5 star service. I would recommend this location if you are looking for a one stop service.
Rooms are very spacious. Great for families!
My family stayed here for 4 nights for a college tour and golf trip. While I appreciate that the space is nice (and the beds were comfy), the service was some of the worst we have dealt with in a long time. While everyone was basically nice, no one was at all helpful. We sat down for drinks in the bar one night and it took 30 minutes to be served. The food was terrible and extremely expensive ($9 for an Americano). No one knew how to book a tennis court, even though it is advertised as a golf and tennis club. And there were several times when I was told by the front desk that I needed to do something in the pro shop. And the pro shop told us we needed to do something at the front desk (it is a long walk between them and no one offered to pick up the phone). The pro shop told me I needed to call customer service to change a tee time. And customer service put me on hold to call the pro shop. I travel a lot for work and with my family and I dont think I have ever written a bad review before. But I thought it was worth pointing out so perhaps they can make a few changes. Don't stay here if service is something you care about.
The staff was very nice and friendly

Really enjoyed this hotel it was nice and clean.
I initially booked this resort for a birthday getaway Grand experience package and chose to do the spa back in October. While I was so excited to stay at the resort I must say the resort itself is over hyped. The rooms are outdated and could definitely use some upgrades for the pricing of the packages. We checked in on a Wednesday night and I will say the customer service doesn’t match the pricing of the property or give a “resort” type of vibe. Our room key didn’t work upon arrival and the toilet stopped working while we were there. As I understand things happen I think if the money made is invested back into the rooms that would help a lot! The greeters at the door rarely spoke or attempted to even look at you walking in to provide a welcoming experience upon arrival. On Thursday we had our massages and let me say when we stepped foot in the spa area the energy was UNMATCHED!!! We were welcomed with a warm greeting upon arrival, and personally walked back to spa area by the supervisor Debra Stephen’s. She was very detailed of the spa inclusions, walked us around to the spa areas as well as walking us through using the lockers in the spa areas. She gave us her time by being patient and ensuring she provided us with an EXPERIENCE. I had Maggie as my massage therapist when I say she’s the BEST therapist I’ve had she is PHENOMENAL and so personable!!!! After we had our massages we had the pleasure to meet the Spa Director Jayme Bridge-Pass she followed up on our experience and literally walked around to show us the quiet room if we were interested in relaxing more. After showing us the quiet room she offered us something to drink as well as sharing with his upcoming promotions the spa would be having. I’ve been to a lot of spas and I can tell you not one time has a Director personally came out of their office to do ANYTHING but for her to take her time and personally talk to us won be over with that spa! Because of the spa we booked a 4 day stay and 2 days of an 80 minute massage. During that time I fell sick with a terrible cold literally 24 hours before check in time. I contacted the resort and of course grace wasn’t extended. We still went and checked in. We contracted the front desk and asked to speak with a manager and was told that we would have to stay all 4 days without being penalized as well as completing the spa services. My wife walked down and spoke with Jayme and let her know we were at the resort however I was sick and didn’t want to risk her staff getting sick. Jayme extended grace and allowed us to reschedule our massage appointment and protecting her staff without hesitation. This week tried the massage therapist Isaiah and he was absolutely phenomenal as well!!! I can’t brag on the spa enough!!! We live in Charlotte, NC and will continue to drive to Greensboro, NC as long as the spa is open just to have spa services. To be honest the spa area needs to be extended because of the phenomenal customer service they have, the phenomenal team they have and I’m sure with those combined that would open the door to the grow team as well offer new spa services!!! I hope that Jayme and her staff sees this review and I wish Jayme was the director of the property because she is compassionate and is truly understanding when things happen beyond our control.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Everything is clean.
The rooms were spacious and the check in process great. We ate at the Finial several times and it was always great! David helped me with my luggage and was so very nice and helpful.
Came for a business meeting. Nice hotel with very nice facilities. Very good fitness center and spa. Rooms very nice as is bathroom. Free parking. Friendly staff.
Many options for things to do and pool area and food was amazing!!

Had a nice meal in the Cafe on arrival, and a brief breakfast. Both times the staff were exceptional.

The property was beautiful inside and out. We loved the scenery, location, and the amenities. It was peaceful and we were both able to relax quite comfortably when it was time to retire for the night.
