Mama Bella’s Retreat is awesome! We just spent a week in their new villa, which is absolutely gorgeous and much larger than expected. It has a huge private pool as well. We were amazed how quiet it was, there is a pretty good amount of vehicle traffic just a block away, but you couldn’t hear it at all in the villa. Very peaceful and relaxing. As great as all that was, the staff are really the highlight! You can tell they really care about looking after their guests, and it’s truly appreciated. Thanks so much for the amazing stay!

Le sol autour de la piscine n'était pas très propre

Le paradis sur Lomok Sengiggi ! Le confort de la chambre, la douche avec bon débit et eau chaude, une connection wifi de qualité. Bouilloire avec café et thé et petite terasse personnelle. Le petit detit déjeuner copieux et très bon. La piscine et le jardin sont très agréable et bien proportionnés pour le nombre de personnes pouvant séjourner ici. Vous avez les menu de tous les restaurants alentours pour vous faire livrer vos repas midi et soir si vous le souhaitez. Toute l’équipe est très gentille et authentique, vous pouvez tout organiser de votre hotel, que ce soit vos transports, locations ou circuit touristique. C’était vraiment un super séjour de 3 nuits, trop court ! N’hésitez plus a réserver ici pour votre halte a Sengiggi !!!

Die gepflegte Anlage wird von der Besitzerfamilie mit viel Liebe und Engagement geführt. Sie legen sehr viel Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit. Es steht frisches Wasser, Tee und Kaffee im großzügigem Zimmer zur Verfügung. Das frisch zubereitete Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass das Zentrum von Senggigi gut zu Fuß erreichbar ist und die Unterkunft trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen ist. Der Pool war sehr sauber. Die oft beschriebene Störung der nahegelegenen Moschee können wir so nicht bestätigen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und wünschen der Familie alles Gute!

Ich hatte nur für eine Nacht gebucht und war sehr sehr zufrieden. Man kann hier auch definitiv länger bleiben. Sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, justo al lado del puerto, por lo que no hace falta ni pedir taxi: se llega andando en unos 10 minutos. Para visitar otras playas o las islas Gili, puedes desplazarte perfectamente en taxi. Es una muy buena base para hacer excursiones de un día a las islas Gili o al norte de Lombok. El desayuno fue espectacular, especialmente los pancakes, ¡de lo mejor! El staff fue súper simpático y atento durante toda la estancia. Además, el sitio está muy limpio y cuidado. En general, una opción muy recomendable.

Tengo el máximo respeto por la religión y entiendo que soy turista en la isla, pero creo que es importante comentarlo: a las 5 de la mañana se escucha muchísimo al rezo de la mezquita y nos despertábamos cada noche. El hotel está dentro de un pueblo, no en una zona hotelera turística. Recomiendo revisar la ubicación en Google Maps antes de reservar para saber qué tipo de entorno os encontraréis (es un pueblito).

Nos encantó el lugar y la habitación. No le falta detalle, la habitación es amplia, limpia, cómoda, con todo lo necesario, armario de baldas super práctico, mesitas , lamparitas, enchufes, el baño con la mejor ducha de toda Indonesia xD la terracita porche con butacas y tendedero... Pero es que el exterior con un jardín de ensueño y con hamacas, camas balinesas, tumbonas, la piscina con pelotas para jugar, espacios sorpresa como el hall biblioteca con sofá... Nos hubiéramos quedado una semana. Buen desayuno también: huevos con pan o granola con yogur, zumo y café.

Lo único fue no haber podido probar el servicio de masaje a la vez porque no tuvieron disponibilidad

Amplitud de la habitación, zonas exteriores con vegetación, piscina rodeada de camas balinesas y hamacas con ambiente tranquilo para tomar el sol o leer. Desayuno muy sabroso y facilidades del personal para traslado al aeropuerto y realizar actividades.

Hay una mezquita muy cerca y el primer rezo de madrugada (entre las 4 y las 5) se oye muy fuerte y, a pesar de usar tapones, te despierta. Respetamos el rezo, pero quizás deberían plantearse no usar los altavoces de la mezquita a máximo volumen en ese horario.

Superb property tucked in at the end of a path away from the hustle and bustle. Arif and the staff made sure that we had anything we needed. There's a lovely pool with sunbeds where we relaxed. The warung just outside is worth a visit, nice food and great for watching grey monkeys from a distance.

Un petit hôtel plein de charme, à taille humaine Nous avons adoré cet hôtel à taille humaine. Les chambres sont vraiment très grandes et confortables, on s’y sent tout de suite bien. La gérante est adorable et fait vraiment tout pour que les clients se sentent à l’aise et bien accueillis. La piscine est très agréable également. Un très bon moment passé sur place, on y reviendra avec plaisir !

Lugar muy tranquilo cerca de la playa. Personal muy amable y atento, ambiente familiar.

Rustige plek met mooie binnentuin en zwembad. Zeer vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel. Ontbijt is echt goed.

Dicht bij een moskee maar het geluid veel heel erg mee. In andere review was het als minpunt omschreven maar wij vonden dat erg overdreven. Het is zeker geen reden om het niet te boeken.

Very big room, great air-conditioning and ( really) hot water with the best water pressure I've experienced. Beautiful garden around a very nice pool, the staff and owners are great ( they came after me to the port because left something behind), had a fantastic week at a really nice retreat.

Lo mejor del alojamiento es el entorno donde se encuentra la piscina, es super bonito. La cama es cómoda y la habitación es grande y está bien equipada con buen aire acondicionado y ventilador. El personal es super amable y atento, el manager está pendiente de lo que necesites. Tienen buen precio para el traslado al aeropuerto.

Lo que menos nos gustó fué, con todo nuestro respeto, que se escucha muchisimo el rezo de la mezquita por las noches y dificulta el descanso. También que el calentador de agua es justo para dos personas.

The most amazing place to stay in Lombok. The staff were exceptional in every aspect. Organising tours and drivers and making sure we were comfortable and knew where to go for eating out as well as recommending local places to eat. Absolutely fantastic. Honestly, my new favorite homestay in Senggigi—and possibly in all of Lombok. After discovering Mama Bella’s Retreat, it honestly feels like I’d been missing out on this hidden oasis. Mama Bella’s is top-rated for many reasons, but here’s why you may never want to leave. The homestay is peaceful and private, just a 5-minute drive from Senggigi’s main beach road. The entire property is beautifully maintained with lush tropical gardens, papaya trees, and an atmosphere that instantly makes you feel relaxed. The sparkling pool is the heart of the retreat, complete with hammocks that are perfect for an afternoon of unwinding. One of my favorite little touches was the cozy library and relaxation space, where guests have left handwritten reviews, travel tips, and recommendations for exploring Lombok. Breakfast is served beside a beautiful fish pond with a calming waterfall feature, making every morning feel special. And hooray for vegan breakfast options! 🙏🏻💛🌱 This is something I almost never find at Indonesian homestays unless I’m staying at a dedicated vegan resort. Mama Bella’s offers delicious vegan pancakes and smoothie bowls, which made me incredibly happy. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. The bed is spacious and comfortable, there’s a mini fridge that’s perfect for storing fresh fruit or drinks, and the bathrooms really stand out—spotlessly clean with hot water and excellent shower pressure. The Wi-Fi was also reliable, and I noticed several guests comfortably working from their laptops during my stay. The yoga shala is another highlight. I highly recommend joining one of the classes. The instructor is a wonderful local teacher who comes to the retreat, and I was lucky enough to have a private session since I was the only one signed up that afternoon. It was exactly what I needed and such a peaceful way to spend the day. The location is also very convenient. Pepito Market is only about a 7-minute walk away and is one of the best grocery stores in the area.

The cottage was clean and pretty and very comfortable. The staff was super nice, and the gardens were lovely- nicely maintained. I also enjoyed the two resident Kitties💕 and my favorite coffee on Lombok!

Brilliant location, everyone was super friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the breakfast was amazing. There is a lovely pool area to chill and relax in. It was very easy to arrange bike hire or even a massage to the place.

The grounds were immaculate, good proximity to local bars and restaurants, nice pool, quiet. The breakfast was lovely, they make their own yoghurt which is really tasty. Nothing was too much trouble and the service from checking in, laundry scooter rental, ordering food etc was really efficient.

Mama Bella's Retreat felt like a home away from home during my stay in Lombok. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and I loved having my own veranda to relax on. The property is in a quiet area but still within easy walking distance of Senggigi's restaurants, shops and beach. What really made my stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They organised my airport transfer, helped arrange my transport to and from Gili Air, safely stored a bag for me while I was away, and also organised a wonderful cultural tour. Their kindness and local knowledge made travelling around Lombok so much easier and more enjoyable. Although I didn't use the swimming pool, it looked beautiful and added to the relaxing atmosphere of the property. I would happily stay here again.

The staff and owners were extremely helpful and attentive, helped us with scooter hire and went above and beyond with helping us reschedule our transportation. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. There is a wide range to the breakfast.

Amazing property!!! The rooms and bungalows are spotless and maintained with great attention to every detail. The swimming pool and garden area are also beautifully kept, making them the perfect place to relax and unwind. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the breakfast is fantastic. Without a doubt, this is the best accommodation I have found in Indonesia so far.

Location is good in a walking distance to the main road where you can find many cafes, restaurants, spas, markets. Breakfast area with fish pond and breakfast itself is good also. It's run by a couple who are very pleasant and attentive, the staff is also super.

Honestly, I was so delighted with Mama Bella and I highly recommend staying here if visiting Senggigi. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful in every way. Firstly, I messed up the booking dates and they quickly fixed it for me. Then the transport from the airport was quickly arranged and pick up was perfect. Arif, who is the driver, tour guide and general a manager was amazing. I cannot speak highly enough if his professionalism. The accomodation consists of large and clean villas with aircon, a bar fridge, TV (we didn’t even turn it on!), and a large bathroom. Hot water a plenty. The pool area is fantastic. The pool if clean and a perfect temperature. There are two large day bed and plenty of lounges. The facility is so pretty. Set in lush gardens with a jungle at the back. You wake up to the sound of prayers and birds. Heaven. Breakfast is a choice of hot drinks, fruit and a range of freshly cooked hot meals. We had the Nasi goreng, eggs with toast and jam, French toast and banana smoothie granola bowl. All delicious. The resort is a 5 minute (max) walk to the Main Street, where there are delicious places to eat, drink and be merry. The beach and port area is 8 minutes walk. We organised our day trips through Mama Bella and the tours were incredible value for money and amazing fun. We did the secret gille snorkelling day trip and the day trip to the north Lombok waterfalls. Arif also took us to the local market in Mataram and the huge mosque. All of these are must do experiences when in Senggigi. After 5 days I am so sorry to leave but will 100% return.
