Gentillesse du personnel, magnifique villa, la piscine, la proximité avec la plage, le calme. De très beaux coucher de soleil

Wij zaten in de poolvilla en dat was top! De bedden sliepen heerlijk. Het lang gerekte zwembad was helemaal geweldig voor de kinderen. De ligging aan het strand was ideaal. Heerlijk zwemmen en snorkelen. De kinderen hebben samen met één van de vele vriendelijke hotel medewerkers een boom geplant. Hoe leuk is dat!

Er is niet echt iets wat mij niet beviel. Ik kan dit hotel aan iedereen aanraden.

The staff were friendly and tried to accommodate

Where do I start! Old, run down, dirty…. We had a broken shower, broken blinds, rusty old single beds for kids, so bad the headboards were covered with sheets, yellow stained walls, dripping taps, plugs tied on with string, broken kettle (replaced straight away), dirty fridge, mosquito net above bed looked like it had cigarette burns, no reception staff on check out, breakfast and pool bar tables filthy We left early and relieved a partial refund. I’m sure these villas were once luxurious but they barely scrape a 3 star now! Do not book … this place needs to be closed down and majorly renovated!

We zaten met 3 kids in een villa. Het gedeelte van de villa’s ligt apart van de appartementen en daar was het heerlijk rustig. Het is een mooie onderhouden tropische tuin, je wordt met het golfkarretje rondgereden als je dit wilt, heerlijk zwembad voor de deur - wordt ook continu schoongemaakt, altijd warm water behalve niet voor de jacuzzi buiten, ontbijtruimte bij de villa’s was fijn met genoeg keuze aan eten - westers en Indonesisch. De villa was goed schoon en werd dagelijks goed bijgevuld en schoongemaakt. Een nespresso- machine in de villa zou een plus zijn geweest, maar die was er niet.

- Wel kunnen de bedden een upgrade krijgen. Die zijn verouderd, te dunne matrassen en wiebelen. - De jaloezieën kunnen niet allemaal open, donker in het huis - te weinig stopcontacten - roomservice is geen aanrader

Location and outdoor

Room lights were very dull, and the overall cleanliness was not up to the mark. The furniture was quite old and could use an upgrade. The beach was disappointing, with strong currents making it difficult to enjoy. Breakfast was okay, but the pool was not very clean. Overall, the property needs improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, and facilities.

Het is goed onderhouden, schoon en de service is fantastisch. We vonden het echt een heerlijke plek. We hadden de poolvilla en die zou ik op dit complex ook zeker aanraden. Vanuit je kamer het rivierzwembad in gaan is super!

The Villas are beautiful and cleaned very well but they to need some proper maintenance rather than just calling in the team when a request is made.

Frühstück an zwei Orte jedoch nicht gleichwertig. Anlage sollte ein wenig gepflegt werden. Kommt in die Jahre. In der Nähe liegen Moscheen und wird sehr viel und sehr laut gebeten. Sollte erwähnt werden, wenn man buchen will. In den Restaurants totale Katastrophe, sowie Pool Bar, Restaurant und am Strand. Totales versagen.

The staff are amazing. The villa was huge and the details inside made it feel like home. We were surprised that there was a bathroom downstairs so my 17 year old had his own ensuite. The upstairs master is huge, complete with massive ensuite and walk in robe. We stayed in villa 409 so we also had ocean views from our balcony.

Our pool villa was beautiful and the staff were so friendly. There were also some great little warungs to eat at just around the corner from our accommodation.

Breakfast in the small restaurant for the pool villa guests wasn't great, so we had it at the bigger resort restaurant and it was much better.

Relaxing stay with a giant pool to keep the kids busy. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms, in need of an update, but still enjoyed the stay. Easy trip to Gili by boat for snorkeling and other parts in the north of Lombok.

Мне не понравилось что менеджеры отеля совсем не выходят со мной на связь.не в приложении Booking, не в мессенджере. Мы съехали с этого отеля после пребывания в нём 3 ночи,. Попросили нам вернуть деньги за оставшиеся ночи на нашу карту. Нам коротко объяснили что нужно писать в поддержку booking.com. Мы это сделали, после чего отель пишет что им не приходило от букинга никаких подтверждений. В поддержке Booking говорят что они отправляли, и что отель должен вернуть деньги на карту. Но ничего не происходит . Мы покинули отель не дожив несколько ночей в нём, сделали check out 5 января, и нам не вернули деньги и перестали вовсе отвечать на наши сообщения !!!

The Pool Villa was spacious for 4 of us, the room was spotless. The staff were very polite & helpfull always with smile, especially Mitha. The beach was nice & clean. The New Year's Eve Gala Dinner & Entertainment were amazing and it was free of charge for all the guess who stayed in the hotel. We had a great time spending our New Year 2026 Holidays in this hotel.

The infinity pool in front of Pool Villas was a bit dirty with some dried leafs. The Rinjani restaurant was a bit small to serve breakfast for a lot of guess, we were queing almost every morning, they should have opened Pool Villa Lounge to serve Pool Villa guesses breakfast.

Some of the old door need to be replace or fix and also shower heads is need to be replace. I been there 2017 also so I know this is a old hotel but still very good just need to check something.

The villa is exceptional, quiet with a nice view. The staff is lovely and helpful. The location in the city is perfect.

The swimming pool was not clean enough to be used. The jacuzzi was dirty, likely due to inadequate water filtration.

The breakfast was very good with attentive staff.

The mosquito net didn't cover the overall bed.

Large villa, friendly staff, location, pool was clean

The entire hotel needs serious renovations. Lots of things broken in the room, holes in the bathtub with electrical tape around it, lights that didn't work, shower head blocked. My Room was full of mosquitoes, the housekeepers did try to help when I reported it. Lots of the walkways are really broken and I did trip and cut my foot in the dark. I stayed here 10 years ago and it was great, unfortunately hasn't been updated. The staff are friendly but most found English difficult and didn't have much hospitality training, especially in the restaurant and bar. Seems to be more catered towards domestic Indonesian tourists than westerners.

We paid for a "Pool Villa", however we were requested by the resort NOT to use the pool due to a leak! No compensation was offered, considering we paid extra to use a facility that the hotel did NOT want us to use. This is outrageous!

Everything was wonderful, from the moment we left the car to the moment we left for our onward journey. The staff were helpful, the place was luxurious and clean and we felt like royalty.

Het is een mooi villa/vakantiedorp op een groot terrein direct aan zee met een eigen strand. Het was er heerlijk rustig toe we er waren. We verbleven in een villa. Villa was erg ruim en mooi ingedeeld. Op de 1e eerste verdieping ook een balkon met uitzicht op zee. Alle villa delen een enorm zwembad. Villa gasten worden gezien als VIP’s en kunnen beroep doen op vervoer op het terrein in een buggy. Iemand komt je dan vervoeren met een buggy. Er zijn meerdere restaurants op het terrein. Sommige gaan alleen open als er voldoende gasten zijn hebben we gemerkt. Hygiene was voor Lombok normen redelijk goed te noemen. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij zijn de afgelopen jaren aardig verwend en daarom zijn we misschien erg kritisch.

De villa’s zijn vrij verouderd en dat merk je wel. Niet alle jaloezieën werkten goed. Er was te weinig licht. We kwamen stopcontacten te kort voor onze apparatuur. Het grote zwembad is groot en erg mooi maar soms zag het er niet heel schoon uit. Is ook erg lastig met zo’n groot zwembad met veel planten en bomen eromheen (bladeren en bloemen). Ontbijt was goed maar de keuze is beperkt. We hebben betere ontbijten gezien in deze prijsklasse.

Merumatta is a former flagship resort at Senggigi, and the pool villa club was built 2000. It is very well maintained, and the service is superb. Positioned on the Senggigi beach, it is a great place for relaxing and sunbathing. It is also a great start point for tours to the gilis in north or south, as well as to the Rinjani mountain. The villa and its surroundings are clean. The villa is spacious and well maintained. The personell is attentive and ever-present when needed. One day our jacuzzi stopped working. 5 minutes after we told the receiption, a guy was on-site to repair it. At the same time, it must be mentioned that the facilities are a little worn down. A renewal would be appreciated. All in all, we had a great time and would absolutely recommend the Merumatta Pool Villa.

We booked this villa on the impression it was a 5 star hotel with 5 star facilities, on arrival I found it very uncomfortable as they were picking out things with my appearance becoming very judgy telling me where to party and my holiday in no way is a party holiday I am here with my family and meeting friends who travelled across the world to see us. The accommodation is very dated, we had a storm as we arrived and the next morning the ceiling had leaked water in the upstairs bedroom and I called to make them aware, they came and put a towel down without any explanation all my belongings got wet that was on the vanity. The villa pool was pretty dirty and had a few dead lizards at the bottom with lots of leaves. The main pool has loose tiles and wires coming out of pool. there is not a spa just someone coming to your room which is not great if you have the whole family staying in the villa. The dinner service is awful and extremely slow! And if you go to the restaurant next to the pool they only get food and drinks from the beach bar so service is very slow. They seem to run out of a lot of products. There is no facilities in the villa pool club area. There is very minimal activities and if you ask the staff anything they cannot accomodate as they do not have sufficient English to answer any questions. Overall I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this establishment for the money we spent for 3 days we expected a better service in all.

The property is old but well maintained. It is a sprawling resort offering space and privacy to the guests. The rooms are in individual buildings, which are spaced apart. Typically 4 rooms per building. The resort is situated alongside a long, beautiful stretch of Senggigi Beach. The beach front is lined with many mature trees where you can find shadow while you enjoy the sea views from your stretcher. Towards the end of the afternoon drinking a cocktail or a beer at the Sunset Bar during Happy Hour is a special pleasure while the beautiful sunsets create a unique atmosphere. The hotel staff in general seem well-trained, are very friendly and always trying to please the hotel guests.

The guest experience could be further improved with a bit more attention to detail by the hotel management. For instance the menu cards in the restaurant are falling apart, which creates a strange first impression. The food in general was OK but could be better. My daughter had a steak which was un-chewable. Room for improvement of the pizza's also.

The location is great and our pool villa was very clean & comfortable.

When we checked in we were told the villa pool was out of order & to use the main pool. Not really what we booked for & the staff didn’t offer any solution or alternative. The staff were always friendly enough but we think a few things may have been lost in translation. That said, for a big & expensive (ish) resort you would expect better customer service. PS. The welcome drink voucher is for orange cordial.

L’emplacement sur la plage de Senggigi avec un magnifique spot de snorkeling. Personnel adorable. Proche des restaurants.

Attention c est un grand complexe hôtelier. La pool villa est un peu sombre dommage. Le restaurant de la plage est très cher pour Lombok et pas très bon. Petit déjeuner moyen, très développé en plat indonésien (pas facile le matin pour les européens) mais mériterait des jus de fruits de frais (pas des briques).

De villa is mooi ingericht, heerlijke bedden en mooie badkamers, goede televisies en airco's. Het zwembad voor het huis is mooi en rustig, wat voor een heerlijk ontspannend verblijf zorgde en een paradijselijke sfeer. Het hele resort is prachtig aangelegd en er wordt duidelijk veel moeite gedaan om het schoon en netjes te houden. Elke dag zijn er veel medewerkers aanwezig voor tuinonderhoud. Personeel overal op het resort is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Voor de pool villa's wordt er apart ontbijt geserveerd in het kleine Beachcomber restaurant vlakbij, maar indien gewenst kan ook ontbeten worden in het grotere Rinjani restaurant iets verderop op het resort, waar een iets ruimere selectie aan eten en drinken is te vinden. Voor het avondeten kan je naast de de strandtent Basilico, met fantastisch uitzicht op de zon die ondergaat achter mt Agung, terecht bij het Rinjani restaurant, waar heerlijke Indonesische en Aziatische maaltijden werden aangeboden. Een aangename toevoeging sinds ons laatste bezoek 13 jaar geleden, is het leuke koffiezaakje Matta Coffee vlak bij de receptie. Voor boodschappen is er een goede Fresh Market op loopafstand van het resort te vinden, met veel internationale producten. De excursies vanuit het hotel waren zeer goed verzorgd en de chauffeur/reisgids (Pak Razaq) dacht goed met ons mee. Hij ging zelfs mee op de boot tijdens een van onze snorkeltochten, om op onze peuter te passen terwijl de rest van de familie lekker kon snorkelen!

Laat ik als eerste zeggen dat geen van onderstaande punten ons tegen houdt om in de toekomst weer te komen. Merumatta is een fantastisch resort, deze opmerkingen zijn dan ook meer bedoeld als info voor toekomstige bezoekers, en verbeterpunten voor het resort. - De pool villa heeft een open bovenverdieping, wij sliepen met de baby boven, en twee oudere kinderen beneden. Dit was vrij gehorig. Ook geluiden van buiten (moskee rond 5.15am, vogels een half uur later) waren goed te horen. Dit wende echter snel! - Het eten bij het Basilico restaurant viel tegen, generiek menu met weinig echt lekkere keuzes. Rinjani daarentegen bood heerlijk eten, maar was gek genoeg altijd bijna leeg. - De directe omgeving van het resort is vervallen en deels verlaten. Hier kan Merumatta natuurlijk niets aan doen, maar het lijkt er op dat het toerisme in Sengiggi sinds ons laatste bezoek 13 jaar geleden behoorlijk is afgenomen. Dit was ook merkbaar op het resort zelf. De poolbar wordt niet meer bemand en de aparte receptie voor de pool villas is gesloten. Beachcomber restaurant is alleen open voor ontbijt. Er is achterstand op onderhoud aan de villa's, met niet sluitende lamellen en schuifdeuren. Niet genoeg om te storen, maar valt wel op. - De zee rondom het resort is vrij wild, er werd veel gesurfd maar zwemmen met de kinderen was geen succes. Het strand aan de zuidzijde van het resort is niet onderhouden en daardoor bezaaid met afval.

La villa avec piscine en lagon, seulemeny piur les villa, vous sortez de la chambre avec acces direct a la piscine. Chambre familliale avec a l'etage suite parentale et des lits simple au rdc avec un petit salon. L'emplacement de l'hotel est tres bien situee proche de toute comodites. Le personnelle magnifique a disposition, au petit soin ils nous ont meme emmener nos bagages jusqu'au port de sengigi! Un programme vert tres interessant, nous avons meme eu la chance de planter un arbre avec le nom de nos enfants, quel souvenir et trace de notre passage!

Pros... Staff and service. Views are wonderful. Pools, lounging chairs. Beach access was not busy. Breakfast was included and many options. Nice place to walk around. Loved the pool villa with a private swimming area. Cons... Rooms were very nice but somethings were a bit dated/didnt work well (locks, doors). Sewer smell coming up from the toilet and shower drain. Loved the stay overall! Great staff and location. Would come back again.

Rooms were little rusty, hotel restaurants too far from the Villa. The rooms are not separated even if they are on two different floors, no intimacy possible. Breakfast was below standards, after sale taxes at restaurants were outrageous compared to outside restaurants.

Sehr schöne ruhige Unterkunft mit direktem Poolzugang. Räume werden sehr sauber gehalten. Viele Restaurants, Shops und Bars in der Nähe. Sehr gepflegte Anlage.

Frühstück nicht dem Standard entsprechend. Safe funktionierte nicht, wurde erst nach langer Wartezeit ersetzt (3 Anrufe!!!). Dasselbe passierte uns später mit der Schlüsselkarte. Kein warmes Wasser vorhanden!

Amazing pool and beautiful villa

The resort grounds are spacious and well maintained. The location is walkable to shops and restaurants. The resort is surrounded by water 270 degrees and has spectacular sunset views. The staff are friendly are always focussed on your enjoyment. The pool villa pool was excellent.

Beautiful outdoor swimming pool and the view from my villa. Spacious and perfectly organized facilities. Breakfast buffet near the beach was very good. Walking in the fantastic garden with a lots of tropical trees along the beach side after the breakfast was really good. The beach just right beside the garden was so clean that I had lots of fun in the beach. Easy access to the restaurants with good local food and the "Fresh Market" within at most 10 minute walk.

Wifi connectivity was bad and slow.

The villa was beautiful. Large, well appointed and clean. The pool out the back was amazing. So much fun for the kids.

The pool was being repaired when we arrived and was only half full. We were not advised of this at check in.

Our stay at Merumatta Senggigi Lombok was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel is nowhere near the five-star experience it claims to be. The villa we were given was filthy, with visibly worn-out furniture, and it was clear that basic cleaning standards were not met. The outdoor facilities were poorly maintained, the tennis court was unusable, and only one restaurant was open, leaving us with hardly any dining options. What makes this experience even worse is your management's complete failure to follow through on a promised refund. We were forced to leave the hotel immediately, incurring extra costs to find alternative accommodation. Despite numerous follow-ups and a verbal agreement with your manager for a full refund, we have yet to receive any confirmation or payment. Your lack of professionalism, both in maintaining the hotel and handling this situation, is appalling. This is not what guests expect when booking a so-called luxury hotel, and the way you have treated us since our departure is nothing short of unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay at Merumatta Senggigi Lombok to reconsider. You are far better off choosing a hotel that values its guests and delivers on its promises.

We had the pool villa and I can say it was the best accommodation we've stayed in! Lots of space, a spa pool, access to a pool (from.our door step), comfortable bed... we could not fault the villa.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

I like the breakfast and the view from the beach. The place is huge and so greeny, so refreshing. The lobby and the restaurants is a little bit far from the villa but there is an access exit gate to the local restaurant from the villa, so it's easier to stroll around. The room is more suitable for a family than a newlywed. The pool is incredible. They gave us 1 free photo session too.

I think this place has a low-maintenance service. We arrived at night, there was no light near our villa and it was raining, the key is not working. They don't have walky-talky for better communication. So we needed to wait and it was so dark I could not see anything and made the vibes creepy. We stayed more than 3 nights but could not enjoy the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is awful, the hot water is not working well, it only lasts for 15 minutes, and it's starting to be cold. we complained several times. But they took so long even until our last day and finally ended up can not fixing it. That's why I feel it's not worth it. In some parts of the beach near the villa, it's so dirty the beach. I've told the worker about that, and I think the next day they start to clean it.

The location is good, we had beautiful sunset and sunrise moments.

Food - the breakfast spread and quality is not good. Massage- no spa available. Frog - made too much noise in the night. Loud prayers from mosque can be heard in early morning. Overall, i would give a 4/10.

A huge resort area. Not many people were around at that time. Super cozy and beautiful. The location the best in the town I could say. In between the port and the main road with many restaurants. The breakfast is very good and huge.

Well maintained property. Our room had everything we needed for our stay. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us. Food at the restaurant was wonderful. Snorkelling straight out from the resort was beautiful, lots of fish and impressive coral.

Staying at the Merumatta was likened to Indonesian tourism in the 1980/90s. Everything was outdated - the villas were tired, and quite poorly furnished. The aircon in bedroom had to be attended to three times, on the last night it spat ice before then again blowing warm air. We got sick of asking it to be repaired, when what actually was needed was to be replaced. The outdoor spa would only fill to half full due to leaks, so it could not be used. The shower head on en-suite bathroom was faulty, so we largely showed downstairs. The breakfast was perhaps the most disappointing. It was poor quality and chaotic service. The salad bar was dirty, the egg station was slow and disorganized, juice warm and not fresh, coffee tepid - limited fresh fruit, you get my drift. It was perhaps the worst breakfast experience I have had in Indonesia in the many times I have travelled here, and certainly not worthy of the hotel rating. We ate breakfast outside of the hotel a couple of days, because we just could not cope with the poor quality. It would benefit from an experienced and organized service manager - who understands modern hotel breakfast catering/service. To balance my negatives, the cleaning service and linen were good, and the grounds lovely. Sitting at the beach to watch the sunset was a highlight; and the food and beverage prices were reasonable albeit limited to one venue. This isn’t enough for me to consider returning or recommending to others. Overall disappointing.

Wifi in de kamer, flinke onbekend rekening vanuit het restaurant die eij niet eens hebben besteld!!

La villa était superbe, avec sa piscine. Le parc et les jardins de l’hôtel étaient très bien entretenus. La plage privée était propre. Dommage que juste à côté la plage publique soit remplie de déchets plastiques. Le petit déjeuner était très copieux sous forme de buffet et abondant. Le personnel était très sympathique. Emplacement bien à l’ouest de lombok à mi distance pour aller aux Gili et pour aller aux plages de Kuta.

Le 2ème restaurant sur la plage était moyen. Et pas le choix l’autre était fermé. Qualité moyenne, dommage.

In its time, this was a great place. And the greatness lasts… in a way. We stayed in a Pool Villa, direct access to a seriously long pool, which is great. And the villa has pretty well all you want (although, if you think a Pool Villa with 4 beds means you’ll be getting 2 bedrooms, think again. The two extra beds are in the lounge, and aren’t separate from this living area). Everything is really clean, the staff are exceptional, but there are details, some bigger than others, which let the place down.

The whole complex has been around for a while (probably late 90s), and maintenance hasn’t kept up with with the times, or with use of the hotel. An example: the blinds in the villa no longer shut properly, letting in lots of light. Housekeeping arrive quickly (we arrived late, and their quick response was good) and put sheets on the windows, as if they had done this before. The next day they arrived with blackout sheets, stapled to the window. It’s a solution that works, but makes you think if a five star hotel should be having these problems in the first place. There are tiles missing in the pool. The barrier which should stop leaves and flowers circulating in the pool has been broken, and only partially fixed. The breakfast menu seems stuck in a loop (the food is decent, but could be so much better if someone gave the whole service a bit of a kick). We arrived on a Friday, and found that there was an even planned in the hotel on the Saturday (Merumatta Xckusive, “7 till we drop”. The hotel made no mention of this, and the music went on and on, forcing you out of the room (the glass in the bathroom rattled with the bass, especially in the sound check, at least 400m for the stage). We assumed it would finish at 11, no problem. At about 11.40 we stayed asking reception when it would finish, being promised 12, then 12.30, then ‘soon’. It eventually stopped at 12.47. We left on a Thursday at 12. There was already another event underway, with a stage, with music (although quieter). No idea how this would develop during the weekend. The management here need to be very careful: if they don’t use some of the income they make to renovate the property, it will no longer be desirable (and even that desirability is fading). And if they continue to make money from events that the hotel guests may not be interested in, that desirability will disappear completely.
