Very nice ans spacious room

The beach which is close buy is not suitable for swimming and you had to walk for 15 minutes to get to the proper beach. The reason I chose this hotel was the 500 meter to the beach which is not true for someone who wants to use the beach!!!! The spa and outdoor swimming pool opens 9:30 till 19:30 which is not convenient for someone like me who attended a congress and i needed to use the facilities either before or after the hours

This was our second time staying here and we’ll definitely be returning in the future. We adored our experience here. The location is perfect, the hotel is fab and staff are incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Not a deslike at all, but the hotel would be even more enjoyable if it was adults only.

We stayed at the InterContinental Cascais in November 2025 for the third time in four years, and once again, the experience was absolutely outstanding. The room was excellent as always, and the terrace—with its stunning sea views—remains one of our favourite parts of the stay. The service is consistently superb, and this trip was no different. A special mention to Mr. Pedro, Mr. Paolo, and Mr. Bernardo, who were exceptional throughout. The staff here truly set the hotel apart with their professionalism and warmth. The location is fantastic, and the views from the room’s terrace are simply beautiful. This time, we also tried the gym, and it was very good. Overall, I can confidently say that this is one of the best hotels in Europe. Already looking forward to our next stay!

cOn the first day of our stay, we had no hot water. We reported the issue to the front desk that evening, and it was not resolved until the middle of the following day. On the second day, I discovered that the hair dryer was not working, although it was replaced fairly quickly later that day. By the third day, we encountered another issue — this time with the cold water. No matter how the shower or sink faucet was adjusted, even on the cold setting, only extremely hot water came out. I actually burned my leg while showering. I chose not to report the issue because I did not want to appear to be someone complaining every day. Additionally, the breakfast was overpriced for the quality and variety offered. Compared to many other hotels we have stayed in, the experience did not meet five-star standards. Guests should not have to search for salt or sugar or repeatedly ask staff for coffee service. The food quality was average at best, and the omelets were bland and tasteless. Overall, some members of the staff appeared somewhat indifferent and even slightly snobbish, as though they were accustomed to catering exclusively to high-end clientele. Unfortunately, based on the numerous issues we experienced and the level of service provided, I would not consider InterContinental a true five-star hotel.

We were disappointed with the service during breakfast no one welcomed us, and we had to look for staff to get coffee. Additionally, there was no hot water in the room, and we had to call maintenance to fix the issue.

We had a really lovely stay at the InterContinental Cascais. I am 5 months pregnant, and what stood out most was how considerate, warm, and proactively helpful everyone was throughout our stay. The staff made us feel genuinely cared for, which meant a lot. Our ocean view room was amazing and made the whole experience feel extra special. The food throughout our stay was outstanding, and the breakfast in particular was exceptional. Everything was so good that it honestly spoiled us for the rest of our holiday, because nothing else could match the taste, quality, and service we experienced here. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and one we will remember very fondly. We will definitely go back at some point just to stay here again. I genuinely hope the same wonderful level of service continues, because it made such a big difference to our experience.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Lisboa-Estoril for two days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel and the rooms are tastefully decorated, and the spa with its heated pool is the perfect place to relax. The breakfast selection is varied and of high quality, and you can enjoy a beautiful view of the bay and the Atlantic Ocean from the terrace. We were also lucky with the weather. The hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel’s location is particularly impressive: in just a few minutes’ walk, you’re in the center of Estoril at the famous casino or small, traditional restaurants. You can leave your car in the hotel garage or drive to Cascais in 5 minutes. The world-famous castles and gardens of Sintra are also nearby. There are a few suggestions for improvement, however: During our stay, the outdoor pool was undergoing renovation. The construction noise could be heard from the room’s terrace all day long, making it impossible to use either the pool or the terrace. The steam room in the spa was out of service, and luggage racks should not be missing in the rooms of a 5-star hotel. These are minor issues, but there is still room for improvement here. This also applies to the staff. Although all employees were friendly, courteous, and helpful, not everything seemed competent and professional. With some, you could tell they had years of experience and were well-practiced, while others clearly needed more training. Still, we’d love to come back and remember our stay in the best way.

for the price the hotel was underwhelming and not worth it - gym is small and not modern equipment, location is out of time and has a train line between it and the sea, my room had an interconnecting door and was noisy when people came in next door, breakfast was not good for vegans,

The hotel itself is wonderful and rooms are spacious.

Service isn’t aligned with 5 star hotel needs. They misused my credit card multiple times and ended up charging me twice. No apology no solutions to solve it. Very not a nice experience and won’t be going here again, be careful with your payment methods they charge your card without any warning or might do it multiple times even dats after you check out.

An absolutely top class hotel, the rooms are exquisite (especially on floor 3- groud floor, they'll explain better). The view from the balcony is magnificent. We had a wonderful breakfast too, where the staff were so exceptional & attentive, as they are throughout the hotel. Wonderful dining areas & areas to relax in their gardens. Very secure & spacious car-park (additional fee) where you know your car is safe. However, it is always the staff who make the difference and we felt welcomed from the moment arriving until we depaerted. I cannot praise the hotel enough. We felt sorry to leave will definitely wish to return in the future. Also there is a station right by the hotel that'll take you into the heart af Cascias. Also easy access down to the promonade for those wishing for a sea walk.

It started during the pre arrival planning when Magdalena reached you to prepare for our stay. She was focused on our needs, and made us feel really excited about our first stay. Sophia and Alejandro gave us a warm welcome, using our name. The gorgeous room with an amazing view became our sanctuary. Housekeeping is perfect. Every detail covered. A stunning breakfast set up, and a superb dinner shows the skills of your culinary brigade. As you can imagine, we do have many properties to choose from, but are thrilled that we chose this fine hotel, with a freindly, professional & proud team leading the business. We had a room on the second floor with an amazing sea view. The room was very clean, spacious, and offered a beautiful view over the pool and the ocean. We also brought our cat, which was no problem at all. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was that good that we actually returned for a second night the same day we checked out.

Everything was great, but if we had to mention one small thing, the room service on the first night was a bit slow. It wasn’t a big issue at all the food was good and we enjoyed it.

The Intercontinental Cascais-Estoril is a great property. It's located just outside downtown Cascais (about a 20-30 minute walk), right in front of the ocean. The hotel occupies the bottom 3 floors of a residential building, with the third floor occupying the lobby, bar and restaurant. The hotel has a very nice ocean front pool, spa, and gym. The rooms themselves are very large and comfortable - round table that seats two people, arm chair, large beds, separate bath tub and walk in rain shower and our's had a wonderful outdoor couch and chairs on the patio. The twice daily cleaning service was wonderful and the rooms are very well maintained. Breakfast is served on the outside patio and is just beautiful - Portuguesse pastries, fruit, fresh juices, sparkling wine, eggs, etc. Additionally, the food in the restaurant and bar is just wonderful. We noticed a lot of people that were not staying at the hotel come to eat. Additionally, the staff at the bar is just wonderful - we had drinks each night and it was so relaxing sitting and hearing the waves crash with a glass of wine. Would absolutely come back and stay the Intercontinental.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental Cascais. The hotel was spotlessly clean and housekeeping should be highly commended. Breakfast staff were very organised and friendly. Our room was beautiful with the most amazing view. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was very varied and delicious. A truly well managed and beautiful hotel. My only slight complaint is that my husband’s diamond ambassador status was not really recognised as it has been in all the other Intercontinental hotels we have stayed .
