Sandman Inn Smithers

Location was convenient for morning coffee.

Our bathroom door didn’t latch. Wifi didn’t work, couldn’t even find it on our devices. Three tv channels worked everything else was just sound with a black screen. The parking is almost non existent, the few spots they have are behind the Tim Hortons.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss. Dieses war sauber und die Betten gemütlich. Wir wurden nett empfangen und das Hotel-Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gegenüber ist ein Tim Horton’s, wo wir jedoch nicht frühstücken konnten, weil der halbe Ort einen Stromausfall hatte. So gab es einen Kaffee und einen Cookie bei Bugwood Coffee.

Das Zimmer zur Straße hin war etwas hellhörig.

The front desk with exceptional. We are elder travelling and I am handicapped. On very short notice I requested to be placed on the first ground floor. When we got there the front desk lady had relocated us from the basement rooms to the main floor plus the rm closest to the front door. Excellent

It is nice and close to restaurants and shops etc. The front desk staff was nice to deal with. Pleasant etc

There is no way to get your luggage and all belongs in without lugging them up stairs as you enter on the second floor. Makes it very difficult when travelling with a crate for your dog. You have to make several trips and it’s very inconvenient. I found it quite loud, people walking and such normally you can’t hear in most hotels, could be the age of the building perhaps. There was no staff in the evening or morning. I noticed people waiting in the morning to check out but no one was there. I wondered what would have happened if someone accidentally left there key card in their room…they’d have had no way back in their room…

When you first walk in, it looks fine. The room was digusting, it smelt like mold in the room.

The hotel was clean. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Excellent bathroom and shower. The area around the hotel felt safe.

The price seems to increase when you book it. The amount shown on booking seems to be different than what you actually get charged. This seems to be an ongoing problem with booking.com

Beyond terrible. Noisy. No parking.. old. No hot water. Internet sucks. Low budget and is a scam. If you want a terrible sleep, this is the place to stay. Absolute worst

The location is beautiful and convenient. For a night or 2 this is a budget friendly option (compared to other places here).

The rooms (we stayed in 2 different rooms on 2 occasions) are outdated with uncomfortable beds/pillows and really chipping away bathrooms.

The property was nice and well kept, the girl at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy and the last-minute price was a great deal.

The location was right along the highway but I expect that in small town BC. The staff was very helpful and polite. Bed was comfortable.

The parking was terrible. There is angle parking by the lobby but it was occupied with pick up trucks and I could hardly get past between the trucks and the fence and I was driving a small vehicle. The parking area behind the building was unmarked and I ended up parking at Tim Hortons. The lobby access does not feel welcoming from the outside. The building itself is very tired and need of and updating.

Noticed that the property was not handicap accessible.

Friendly staff. Nice sized room. Simple and very clean. There's a Tim Horton's right next door - so easy! I saw people complaining about the size of parking stalls. I'm from a big city, drive an average-sized car (not a monster truck) and the parking was just fine. If that's all people can find to complain about, you have to figure the rest is okay. Recommend.

I love the location and Geraldine and Mohammed were both exceptional managers. The little hot water area with tea available was a godsend also after a long day on the road.

Nothing really to note except our room on the first floor seemed a little nicer than the room in the second.

I think we paid to much for 2 rooms for 3 nights. The hotel is old and the rooms are small and outdated. The bathrooms are very small. The air conditioner didn’t work very well.

Nothing, parking was horrible no ice machine, no vending machine, stains on everything.

Everything! Was run down. Staff was on the rude side. Horrible smell. Whatever kinda fitness room there was, it was licked. Honestly, felt like a dungeon!!!!

Was in town early and they still let me check in early👌😊 was a nice quite stay😊

Older property but comfortable beds for a good sleep

Lots of staff in training. They try hard, but patience is need while they figure things out.

Very little parking. Very old facility with a poor remodel.

Central location. There were a lot of USB ports for charging devices, and a few plugs for the usb-c cubes.

The wallpaper was peeling, the room smelled terribly of cigarette stink, and there were sticky spots on the desk when I checked in. The water smelled terrible, and clearly wrecks the coffee pot, didn’t even want to boil the water in the microwave—but I did try, and 4 minutes wasn’t enough time to make the water more than lukewarm.
