Felt completely indulged from the moment we stepped over the threshold of this gorgeous place. The hotel's own Onsen was better than most of the public ones in my opinion, the cold plunge pool was great as the hot pools are very, very hot. We also used the free massage chairs and foot massage machines in the hotel a lot as we were recovering from a lot of temple trekking. The breakfast was like a banquet and the cold water in the room was very useful. The short free bus transit into town was also really handy as although it isn't far, walking in the wooden shoes is an acquired skill! Staff were very helpful and friendly. I genuinely didn't want to leave.

It would be great if the hotel shuttle ran a little later to allow more time to explore the town and the onsens.

Staff were excellent. Atmosphere was incredible. Rooms were big. The onsen in the hotel was excellent. The shuttle service to and from town was very helpful. The staff knew the town well and made great recommendations.

Le lieu était magnifique en style traditionnel, le Onsen était superbe notamment la partie extérieure qui donnait sur le jardin. Le système de navette était très pratique pour aller au centre ville et dans les autres onsens.

Sehr freundliches Personal, außergewöhnlich schönes Ryokan mit tollem Onsen, sehr große Zimmer und ein kostenloser Shuttlebus zu den anderen Onsen und zum Bahnhof (sogar um 6:30 Uhr morgens!)

Super Frühstück, hilfsbereites Personal. Schönes tattoofreundliches Onsen. Gratis Bier, Glace, Massagestuhl etc. Echt schöne und grosse Zimmer.

Lag ein klein wenig abseits. Dafür gabs aber einen Shuttlebus.

Los cojines de los futones son bastante incomodos y solo dan uno.

清潔で快適に過ごせました。スタッフはとても親切で丁寧でした。

建物、お部屋、お風呂、中庭も広くて新しく綺麗でした。お食事も色々あって美味しく、ドリンク、アイス食べ放題で大満足でした。

あえて一つ、浴衣の匂いがしたのが残念でした。

出迎えて下さったスタッフ、館内の施設の清潔さ、フリードリンクやマッサージ機のサービス等、どれも至れり尽くせりで、快適な一泊二日の旅となりました⭕️

外国のお客様がいらっしゃって・・・ タトゥーの入った人が温泉に入ってるのには少し・・・抵抗がありました

初めに受付対応してくれた人が丁寧で、良い印象でした。

Tolles traditionelles Hotel mit eigenem Onsen. Das Hotel ist sehr bemüht einem alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Wir haben uns als Familie sehr willkommen gefühlt. Kaffee, Eis etc. sind kostenlos. Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits aber durch den Shuttle Service macht das gar nichts. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Almost everything and everyone . Staff are just amazing, respectful and accommodating. The food - beautiful . Thank you so much for letting me experience Japanese style breakfast and dinner.

I’m not used to their pillow.

Super vriendelijk personeel die een goede uitleg geeft over het hotel en wat het allemaal inhoud. De onsen waren heel netjes en fijn. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt gekregen. Veel gratis faciliteiten zoals een shuttlebus die je heen en terug brengt naar een gewenste locatie, gratis koffie en thee in de “lobby”, gratis voetmassage apparaat tegenover de onsen en ook lekkere gratis drankjes op de kamer in de koelkast.

Alles was goed alleen wij Europeanen zijn gewend om op een dik matras te liggen, hier slaap je natuurlijk op de grond op een best dun matrasje dus dat was wel wennen. Maar het gaat natuurlijk om de leuke en authentieke ervaring in Japan.

Einfach alles! Extrem hilfsbereites Personal, sehr schönes Zimmer, großartiges Onsen sogar mit Sauna und Kaltwasserbecken, sehr gutes Essen und persönliche Betreuung. Auch der Fahrradverleih funktioniert einwandfrei und man erhält E-Bikes.

Die Klimaanlage war nachts recht laut, trotz der niedrigsten Einstellung.

Le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner délicieux avec un service impeccable. Le service de navette avec la gare.

Yukata un peu usé, les grandes tailles (XXL) ne sont pas proposé, la clim de la chambre est très bruyante.

L'endroit est vraiment très joli et tout le personnel est au petit soin. Des bains sont présents à l'hôtel et les chambres de type japonais donnent sur un tres joli jardin. Petit déjeuner traditionnel incroyable. Je conseille aussi de réserver le dîner kaiseki. Vos repas seront pris dans des salles à manger privé. Certes il est un peu plus loin, mais ils prêtent des vélos (moins de 5min du centre) ou ont un système de navette. Bref une chouette expérience et merci pour l'accueil.

Navette gratuite, prêt de vélos bien pratique pour se promener. Le.village n'est pas grand. Personnel très gentil, ambiance traditionnelle, onsen bien équipé. Et petit bonus pour le dépôt des bagages devant la gare le jour du départ.

Les repas sont très traditionnels japonais et peuvent ne pas plaire à tout le monde. Surtout le poisson au grill au petit déjeuner ! Le personnel ne parle pour ainsi dire pas anglais du tout et une appli s'avère vitale.

There was a whole army of crabs in the onsen and one even fell in the spa when I was trying to relax in the onsen

I have no words! It was amazing! Id give it more than 3 stars. The staff were out of their way, helpful with everything. The place amazingly beautiful and comfortable, located 10 min walk from the center but the view on the way is amazing with all the nature around. And if u don't wanna walk there's a shuttle from the hotel which take u to the center. I enjoyed my time so much it was wow!

A stunning location with delicious dining and a highly convenient shuttle service to visit other Onsen in the village. The entire place has a wonderfully serene and zen atmosphere.

Terrible pillows and futons. We know it's traditional Japanese bedding, but we've stayed at other places that were much more comfortable.

La zona onsen è molto bella e curata, e garantisce privacy nonostante la grandezza della struttura. Ci sono molti servizi aggiuntivi gratuiti, come soba alla sera, gelati e bibite gratuiti. Un hotel completamente di tatami è un’esperienza da provare!

Maybe our best stay in the entire trip. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff extremelly helpfull, the room was big and so comfortable and the kaiseki diner was great too. It's not in the city center, but they have a very helpful driver who can pick you up from the onsens and even bring you to the station the next day. We felt like royalty, thank you soooo much!

Per noi il tatami e il cuscino erano scomodi e l’aria condizionata nella stanza difficile da gestire per avere una temperatura ideale per dormire. Però credo sia solo una questione di abitudine

The staff was so attentive and helpful, even though their English wasn’t the best. The shuttle service was great, they drove us to the hotel from the train station, and drove us back in the morning when we checked out. They even stored our luggage after we checked out, so we could walk around the last couple of hours before our train departure, and sent them to the station for us. The room was very spacious with tatami floor, and they made the futon bed while we were eating dinner, it may be a bit too hard for someone, but we slept great. The food was also a great experience, and tasted great.

We had some minor inconveniences, and one of them was about our dinner. We had a very sweet and attentive staff member at all our meals, but there was a very strong language barrier. This sometimes made us unsure of a few things during dinner and breakfast, whether it was about what we were about to eat, or if drinks costs extra. We could manage, but we thought that maybe other guests would have more trouble than us, and it could help to equip staff with a tablet/phone for translation.

Unglaublich freundliches Personal, Japan ist dafür bekannt immens freundlich, höflich und respektvoll zu sein, doch die Menschen die im Onishiya Suishoen arbeiten, überbieten dies noch einmal, ich werde wiederkommen.

On a tout aimé. C'était le meilleur souvenir de notre voyage. Le personnel était au petit soin. Tout était fait pour nous assister et nous faire profiter de la ville.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Onishiya Suishoen. The staff were exceptionally helpful, caring and friendly - particularly Wang. The rooms were very comfortable, the food delicious and lots of attention was given to every detail of our stay. We feel this is an exceptional Onsen with a rich atmosphere and the authentic feel of a ryokan and highly recommend staying here!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike!

Ryokan très bien rénové. Très belle chambre spacieuse. Excellent repas. Joli jardin central et beaux bains. Bien qu'un peu éloigné du centre (... 10 minutes à pied !) il y a des navettes pour rejoindre la zone des bains publics.

Si la majeure partie des touristes étrangers apprécient qu'on leur parle anglais, je trouve un peu dommage d'engager des étrangers pour parler aux étrangers. Pour l'immersion culturelle, on repassera.... Les choses ont bien changé à Kinosaki Onsen depuis notre première visite en 2014... on appelle ça le sur-tourisme.....

The outdoor onsen was beautiful! Especially while it was raining at night!

We would have liked it if we could have breakfast at a later time. 8:30 was the latest the offered.

About 500m walk to the main town which is a good walk after full meal.

Communication was a little difficult with staff about meals. Wish they offered kaiseki meals in-room; all meals are in a private dining room instead of in your ryokan room.

Das Peronsal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft bietet auch einen Shuttle an, nicht nur am Tag der Ankunft und Abreise sondern regelmäßig auch in die Stadt in zurück. Die Badeanstalt in der Unterkunft selbst war auch sehr sauber und modern, top ausgestattet und mit schönem Außenbereich

Las instalaciones del Hotel son de excelencia. La atención de Tao, pendiente en cada detalle en nuestros desayunos y cenas. El onsen y los masajes de pies luego de haber recorrido todo el día otros onsen's. Sin duda volvería a hospedarme aquí. Son 10 de 10.

The staff were amazing; helpful, gracious and kind. The in-house Onsen is very nice with indoor and outdoor tubs and a cold pool. The food was well done and plenty of it. The “on-demand“ shuttle to the main part of town and free e-bikes are a nice bonus.

It’s very clean, it has many amenities, and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The setting is serene, and the cafe they take to make sure you have everything you need is wonderful. The ryokan has a hot bath on the property so you could have a wonderful time without needing to ever leave the place.

It is unfortunately a little off the beaten path, and so walking to the different baths in town is not something most people will do. Although they do have a shuttle that will take you and pick you up from any and all baths (kind of like a personal taxi for the hotel), the service doesn’t start until 4pm.

Location a bit far off, towards the end of the stretch of onsens

The room was spacious, comfortable and a great traditional experience. Nice seating areas and facilities but bathroom very tired. The staff the were really kind and helpful and the shuttle bus a welcome bonus.

The whole hotel felt like it needed updating. A lot of the furniture looked worn and slightly grubby. Although lovely to have a private dining area the kaiseki meal was disappointing both in taste and quality - with the exception of the sashimi. So much so we decided not to take the breakfast we had previously ordered.

Facilities and very friendly helpful staff. Free beer and water in the fridge and free coffee from machine and tea. The Onsen is fantastic as is the lounge with its massage chairs. Free electric bikes makes it very easy to get around. The location is a few minutes from the main sector of the town, which makes it quiet.

Hôtel exceptionnel avec un accueil parfait, personnel aux petits soins. Un peu retiré du centre de Kinosaki Onsen mais jolie balade le long du canal pour s'y rendre. Petit-déjeuner délicieux dans une salle privée. Onsen de l'hôtel très joli et calme. Salle avec fauteuils de massage. Boissons et snacks à volonté. Prêt de vélo électrique à la demande. Une expérience merveilleuse.

The environment is pleasant .

First accomodation and everythinf was AMAZING. The people were very friendly and kind. They sat down to explain various things to us such as transport, free to use 24 hours drink station, things to bring to the various onsen, etc. When you leave the house they will send you off and welcome you back when you return. They give good recommendation and would even help you book a reservation for dinner. The room was very clean and comfortable too. The atmosphere and environment was beautiful. Their onsen was gorgeous especially the outdoor bath. 100% will be coming back again!

The location was a little far to walk but it can be easily solved by calling their private pick up service which last till 10 at various point through out the town. Was also actually very walkable to and from the station/main area by my standard.

We had the absolute pleasure to be able to stay two nights at Onishiya Suishoen. After having traveled Japan for months already and staying at a dozen Ryokans, I can easily say that the hospitality exceeded anything we experienced anywhere else. From the warm welcome in the cozy lounge, being guided to the rooms, the friendly staff anywhere in the location, the outstanding food we received - and believe me, our friend who didn’t quite like fish posed quite the challenge, which ended in one of the best dinner we had in our life - to the amazingly kind grandpa driving us around town to the other Onsens. Thank you so much for giving us the privilege of feeling like part of the family for our weekend stay. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Japanese garden and fantastic onsen in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was beautiful!

This was the highlight of my trip. Their food was amazing, the facilities were clean and beautiful and the staff went beyond the requirements of hospitality.

We loved our stay in onishiya suishoen! There’s free shuttle buses from the train station to take you to your ryokans and afterwards, there are drivers from the ryokan to bring you to and from your choice of onsens in kinosaki. Moreover, the meals are organised in private rooms which is truly a luxury experience for us :) One thing to note though: dinner preparations were fantastic and I loved the local offerings which was really yummy. However I noticed that I was not asked any dietary questions during my booking process and thus I was served some foods that I could not eat during my meal. Nevertheless, when I brought it up to the staff they were able to help me change out some of the items and I really enjoyed my meal in the end. The meals were delicious and the room is so comfortable, it’s worth every cent to stay here. The staff is also very welcoming and accommodating and there’s even a coin laundry just a short 3 minute walk away

Exactly as described on website, beautiful facility, clean, helpful staff and able to communicate with Google Translate very well, shuttle to/from town centre very available. We stayed three night and a different Japanese style breakfast each day, coffee options available in lobby all day, onsen was terrific. Had the Kaiseiki dinner one night which was delicious and very focussed on seafood if that is a preference, beautifully presented.

Beautiful place, shuttle bus drivers so good and happy to help, lovely onsen, gentle music in the corridors, lovely decoration and design, room was lovely, massage chairs and refreshing icey poles after the onsen. Private dining room was devine with beautifully presented food,

It was a little outside of town although the hotel offered pickup shuttle service in the evening which made up for its location. The pillows were like bags of cement so be warned and the kaiseiki dinner (which was beautiful) was a little too authentic for our tastes.

This place is the real deal. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spectacular. the courtyard was beautiful and being a little out of town was great.

The pillows were not my favourite part. Trad Japanese pillows are not for me though.

El mejor hospedaje en mi viaje a Japón, personal con excelente servicio, habitación tradicional, Onsen, gran numero de amenidades para disfrutar la estancia, nos permitió vivir una experiencia muy bonita, muy estilo japones. sigo sorprendido por el excelente servicio que nos brindaron en todo momento.
