A Boat House

The staff was amazing! They were very warm and inviting. It felt like visiting friends. I totally recommend this place 100%. You should definitely stay here when you are visiting the Cape Town area. Also the views are amazing.

Nothing

Surclassement gratuit

Rien

The welcoming and friendly atmosphere the view super room very comfortable and very nice hot shower really tasty breakfast I have stayed a couple of times and hope to stay again

There is nothing not to like

The staff were extremely friendly, the room was large, clean, and very pleasant

The Boat House is a lovely small hotel with wonderful hosts - Walter and Amanda who were very helpful and had lots of knowledge about the area and South Africa in general. We couldn’t fault their hospitality and that of the staff.

The downside to this hotel is that the owners have decided to build another property slap bang next door so it was a building site from 8am to 6pm and therefore impossible to have any peace and quiet on our balcony. At no point did we have any prior knowledge of this building work taking place - such a shame as it’s likely to continue for quite some time.

Lovely and comfortable B&B in a nice town

Nothing

Views to die for. Exceptional breakfasts. Hospitality excellent. Clean and comfortable.

Little far from town and a hike up and down. Cold pool.

It’s very lovely boutique hotel with amazing views. The stuff super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice, I would say 9/10. I highly recommend it.

The location, the view and the staff were absolutely fantastic, very made our stay to be special and memorable.

There is a construction site happening right next to the place. The noise and also the site is quite dangerous for guests unaware of the unstable soil. The manager was hurt by falling on the construction site during our stay but still did her best to make us feel safe and comfortable.

Everything I travel all the time and this is one of the best places I’ve stayed the owners and staff are amazing people the breakfast is super with lots of choices I would recommend going there and if I am in Cape Town again I will definitely stay there.

Nothing

A great location for seeing the penguins and visiting the Cape of Good Hope. A very comfortable guesthouse with lovely views. Parking outside the door, and indoor pool, and a great choice of breakfast options.

Amanda & Walter are extremely friendly hosts. Stunning views

Nothing to complaint

Breakfast was very enjoyable with well cooked and presented food. The hosts and general staff were excellent; very welcoming, informative and thorough. I rate Amanda and Walter were a great tag team

The information supplied by on booking.com did not include a building site next door and definitely should have. This was misleading. Potential customers should be given all the facts regarding a property to enable them to make an informed judgement.

Beautiful house with stunning sea view balconies. We had a very comfortable stay. Very tasty breakfast options and friendly helpful hosts.

Nothing

Amazing view, amazing breakfast, amazing staff 🥰❤️ it was a pleasure again, see u next time 🥰

The house was very beautiful, but we didn't stay as the room did not have an enclosed bathroom with a door!

A toilet in the room with just a curtain in front of it, is absolutely terrible! Surely they can build a wall (to the ceiling!) and a door for the bathroom!!!!

Great location with a beautiful view. The house is very nicely decorated and the host and staff are lovely. We would definitely come again.

Walter and Amanda are a fabulous couple that add soul to The Boathouse. Breakfasts were exceptional with room in the menu for flexibility. Views from the balcony add to the tranquility. Probably the best place to stay in Simonstown.

All good

Comfortable clean room with amazing view across the bay and table and chairs to sit outside. Excellent hosts and staff. Great choice of freshly prepared breakfasts. Simon’s Town has lots of options to eat and drink and is a short walk down the hill from The Boat House. We would definitely recommend staying here and it’s a great base for visiting Boulders Beach and Cape Point.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Fabulous location. Stunning views. The publicity photos & views are accurate. Hosts Amanda & Walter were simply superb, making our stay in Simon’s Town and surrounding area one we will return to. Responsive, helpful, knowledgable and delightful. They also make the best breakfasts and run a good team, keeping this property tip top. All doors & windows have security bars locked on to prevent local Baboons from entering. We visited all the places we wanted to very easily. Special area. Wonderful memories.

Property is adjacent to a huge construction with 20 builders on site from 7:30am until 5pm. Est completion late ‘27! We should have been notified before or on booking. No Aircons in the bedrooms. They would really help esp with minimising construction noise & dust. Pointless to open the 2 small windows for a cross breeze as building site is 1 meter away, with workers & noise from the cement mixer & red brick dust. Our rental car was parked overnight in guest parking bay subsequently covered in dust and splashes of cement!

Wat een mooi plekje! Dat uitzicht…je went er niet aan! Personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, erg leuk ingericht allemaal, prima locatie in Simonstad.

Alles was top!

The breakfast was enjoyable

The beds were too small and the room really needs air conditioning it was very hot

The view was amazing , we had the captains cabin , stunning 😍

Sharing a balcony

Everything is prefect here! Strongly recommend for stay!

Personalen och utsikten. Utsökt frukost.

Varma rum då luftkonditionering saknas.

Cudowny personel, przyjazny i bardzo pomocny, pyszne śniadania- naprawdę trudno gdzieś o lepsze wykwintne posiłki, wygodne łóżko, piękny widok z tarasu.

To jedyny drobiazg.

Excellent professional and thoughtful management and staff. Great views.

Everything perfect

What an absolute gem of a guesthouse. Mandy and Walter are just the BEST! so welcoming and friendly. They were great with our son and he loved talking with them during breakfast. Walter has great knowledge of the surrounding areas. The view from the rooms are amazing. It is a quick 5min walk downhill to the town and Boulders Beach can be reached in 20mins (walking).

Lovely staff, great breakfast and great view.

Everything was perfect. The room, the views, the breakfasts were just delicious and a very special thank you to Carmen, Amanda, Walter and all the team for making our stay so lovely.

Nothing

The bed mattress, pillows and quality of linen and towels need to be upgraded.

Location, views, friendly staff and owners, delicious breakfast

Nothing

Carmen, Karen and their team are absolutely wonderful hosts. They are warm, welcoming and genuinely thoughtful. When they noticed from our room that it was my birthday, they chilled a bottle of champagne and surprised me with it when I returned — such a lovely gesture. Breakfast was incredibly delicious, and the view from both the room and the breakfast area is truly beautiful. From here, it’s easy to take great day trips to Cape Point or Boulders Beach.

Spacious rooms, good views. Good breakfast. Congenial hosts.

Difficult to work out which key fitted which lock from several on the bunches.

Limited but good

The room was too small, bathroom needed an update, no sun loungers on balcony

Sehr gut

Second time we’d stayed so we knew what to expect. Really big well furnished comfortable rooms with great views over the bay. Walter and Amanda, the managers, are so friendly and welcoming and happy to help with recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Good breakfast.

Nothing.

Excellent accueil.

Obsługa, położenie, widok z tarasu, spokój, sam obiekt i wystrój, bezpieczeństwo, czystość.

Desayuno excelente. Check in autónomo sin problemas.

Perfect location in Simon’s Town, elevated ocean view, walking distance to downtown and about 25 minutes walking to Boulder beach. Very clean, great contact with Amanda and Walther, perfect breakfast!

Absolut empfehlenswert.

We stayed for 2 nights. Excellent stay in a cute and safe town. The hosts were brilliant with lots of good advice on where to eat (lighthouse cafe) in town and advice on travelling in South Africa when we met for breakfasts. The breakfasts were really good with good coffee. There was great privacy, parking on site and you could walk into town for dinner. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. Gorgeous views of the ocean. I recommend.

The breakfast was exceptional

The view is fabulous

Property was wonderful in every way. Beds super comfortable, rooms spotless and the breakfast was exceptional. Carmen the host and her staff are attentive and delightful.

Nothing

Location and the view, both amazing.

No complaints!

Everything.....delightful location, lovely room, wonderful staff ........ we enjoyed the best of times.

I wish i could think of something!

Breakfast, hosts Amanda and Walter, rooms (stayed in lower deck), cleanliness, view, extra features like pool.

Nothing to dislike

Everything, the view, room, breakfast, staff and brilliant hosts.

Nothing.

Amanda and Walter welcomed me in such a warm way that I felt home away from home, from the beginning to the end. They are the soul of this place and I felt held and safe. The rooms are just beautiful and Carlos's omelette and smile in the mornings made the sun rise even brighter. My need was to relax and the spacious terrace and view was just perfect for that. There is a lot to see and do there, pinguins, whale watching on a boat trip...cute towns nearby. Hakunamatuktuk was my easy ride. 8 min walking distance to the harbour where you can find little restaurants and take away. I had a relaxing and wonderful stay. Thank you Amanda and Walter, you are the BEST!

Just a small thing, the mold at the ceiling by the pool entrance, but they said it will be taken care of these days.

Colazione e vista panoramica

Beautiful views, delicious breakfast, friendly hosts

Clean..relaxing..good service..Amanda and Walter excellent hosts..

Beautiful!

Bad internet reception, but not the end of the world.

Amazing property, cozi room, friendly hosts, marine interior, beautiful view from the window, very tasty breakfast

I couldn't find the location quickly at night, the navigator got confused
