The staff is amazing, super friendly, and helpful. Breakfast is homemade and yummy. The room is spacious, and the AC works wonders. Its located right in the city center, which makes it close to the main points. The entrance looks sketchy, but upstairs is fine. The terrace/rooftop is really nice.

When you take a shower, it floods the bathroom. If you're a light sleeper, it might get noisy from all the traffic, but it it didn't bother me.

Det var hyggelig, hjelpsom og imøtekommende betjening. Hostellet var rent og ryddig, og frokosten var god.

El personal era molt amable, simpàtic i atent. Ens van donar una bona benvinguda i ens han facilitat molt les coses i ens han aconsellat llocs per anar. L'habitació està neta, els llits són còmodes i l'aire acondicionat va molt bé. Està molt ben ubicat.

L'entrada de l'edifici i l'escala estan en força mal estat i bruts, això ens va impactar bastant. Tot i que quan arribes a l'hostal tot millora molt.

Cecilia Hostel ligger ganske sentralt i Cairo. Hostelet ligger på top etasje med flott utsikt mot byen og en nydelig takterrasse fir å skap av etter en lang dag rundt i Cairo. Rommene er flott dekorert og personalet er utrolig hjelpsom og hyggelig. Det følget som å være hjemme.

Location was great - very walkable to shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Staff was wonderful - very friendly and welcoming and helpful with coordinating tours.

Because of the central location, it does get noisy with the traffic outside but ear plugs solved that!

This is the second time I've stayed in Cecilia Hostel, which says a lot. I've had some good hostel brekkies in Cairo, but this was the best. Its varied buffet-style started my mornings right. I love the people here, the vibe is spot on, and the chill spots have a relaxing aesthetic. The shower was hot with good pressure, which you don't always find in this city! Filtered water available Great location.

The wifi did not work for days. But once they fixed it, it was fast and stable. My bed broke!

Located in downtown Cairo, great for first time visit. This place has such a great vibe. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The best part about it the staff however. We stayed here for 4-5 days, and almost every night we used to sit on the terrace with them and chill. They are so welcoming and wholesome. Made some lovely memories. Will definitely be back :)))

Perfect for a couple of nights when visiting Cairo! Very well located, just a 5-10 minute walk to Tahrir Square. Highly recommended, with super-friendly staff and a cozy terrace.

Do not shy away when passing through the entrance. The building per se is old and a bit ugly and dirty, but once you get to the 6th floor, it is completely different.

Great location with the friendliest staff and charming owner in the whole of Cairo. Everyone is always very accommodating and runs the extra mile. The delicious breakfast is always enjoyed on the terrace. As a regular visitor to Cairo, this is always my first stop!

I went in as a solo traveller and it was very comfortable. The owner and the folk working there are really kind, welcoming, interesting to talk to - super accomodating people and nice to be around. I had to change rooms for example as I had trouble with the street side being noisy, and they made sure I was able to see some options to settle on, and we often were offered food to share during dinner. The guests were also very cool and I made some nice travel buddies on occasion. They also have an amazing rooftop balcony, and I really enjoyed the hearty breakfast which is always the same, but fresh and filling. The location is right in the heart of old town Cairo which is also a great mid-point. (paid) laundry options are available, and the bathrooms were fine to me.

The building is quite old and creaky and right above the busy downtown, which comes with certain limitations. Nothing too concerning for me and was just a rustic part of the experience. There are also plenty of stray cats that also call it a home, so if you have allergies to cats/dander or you require a luxurious stay, this is not the place for you. For the easy-going, budget-conscious traveller, it's a very nice stay.

The location is great, the balcony offers some nice space to rest in buzzing Cairo.

The entrance to the hotel is like Gotham city - cat's shit and pee everywhere - horribly smelly, everything almost falling apart, the lift scary and old. The windows in the rooms are very thin, they're shaking every time a bigger car passes on the street below.

The location is perfect and the staff was so friendly, helpful and nice! The view was beautiful.

The bathroom was a bit dated and not very comfortable (for European criterias) though perfectly clean and hot water.

I had a really nice stay at Cecilia Hostel in Cairo. The biggest highlight is definitely the location, it’s right in downtown, just a short walk from Tahrir Square, the Egyptian Museum, and the Nile, so everything is super convenient. The staff were amazing, genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything from directions to organizing trips. The atmosphere is very social and relaxed, making it a great place if you’re traveling solo and want to meet people.

旅程上、ど深夜にチェックインさせてもらったが、 問題なく部屋へ案内してもらえた。 砂漠ツアーへ早朝出発するため、滞在時間数時間だったが、お湯はちゃんと出たし、部屋もきれいだった。 一泊二日の砂漠ツアーの帰りにシャワーだけ使わせてもらえないかお願いしたら、快く応じてくれた。 砂漠ツアー帰りにシャワーを借りた時も、困ったことがあれば声をかけてくれ、とか紅茶は飲むかい？とかかなり気遣ってくれて、とてもいい対応だった。

Notre séjour au Cécilia Hôtel s est très bien passé. L accueil du personnel était chaleureux et chacun a fait en sorte de nous renseigner. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et délicieux. I recommend to absolutely anyone travelling to Cairo! The staff are like a family, the rooms and communal space are lovely, and the location is perfect. Will miss you all.

J'ai adoré l'accueil reçu au Cecila Hotel de tout le personnel qui est aux petits soins. Mon séjour a eu quelques complications et ils ont été très arrangeants. Les chambres sont confortables pour ce prix. La terrasse pour le petit dej (très bon) est royale et surtout il est idéalement locéalisé, en plein centre ville.

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad. Het hele team was erg aardig en behulpzaam! Ze wilde zelfs spelletjes met ons spelen en gezellig kletsen. De locatie is top en de tours via het hotel zijn daarnaast ook super!!! Een dikke 10!

Accueil chaleureux de Georges et de ses collègues, qui nous ont permis de nous sentir à l’aise dès le début, et les moments de thé et de discussion dans le salon étaient très agréables. La terrasse du 6ème étage est superbe, très joliment décorée, avec une fontaine en son centre qui offre un vrai moment de calme après nos déambulations dans les rues animées du Caire. Un très beau moment !

The hostel is amazing! I highly recommend it for everyone. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I suddenly end up to hospital during my stay and they even came to the hospital to see me and took care of me. I appreciated this very much, so kind of them and this showed they truly care about their guests.

Le personnel était très accueillant et bienveillant, ils et elles donnaient de vrais bons conseils. Je me suis directement sentie "comme chez moi", les espaces communs sont cosy et on s'y sent bien. Tout est fait pour que l'on passe un excellent séjour !

Les égouts ont eu des odeurs forts, une fois nous n’avons pas fermé la porte de la salle de bain et ensuite l’odeur dans la chambre était insupportable. Un des quatre lits grinçait.

Review for Cecilia: We booked two rooms for a couple of nights to visit Cairo for the first time. Our welcome at Cecilia hotel was second to none. George and his staff were extremely friendly, helpful and informative. No questions were too many and - we had plenty 😇. Sandra and Mohammed were particularly hospital and willing to help. We booked taxis and tours via them and all were better than expected. We have no hesitation in recommending George and his team. We felt safe and welcome. Thank you for your hospitality and we wish you all the best.

Excelente ubicación en el centro del Cairo. El personal del hostal es muy amable. Habitación cómoda y amplia. Nos coordinaron los taxis ida y vuelta al aeropuerto, un caro si. Muy recomendable. Nos dieron a probar unos dulces muy ricos. Todas las personas nos trataron muy bien

Por mais 5 euros ou 5 dólares, poderia ter ficado com o dobro do conforto. Toilette, seguramente a pior que vi, nos 55 países que já visitei. Internet não funcionava, tive de pedir inúmeras vezes para reiniciar o router. Qualquer barulho dentro do Hostel, ouvia-se no quarto. Muito raramente dou notas negativas, mas Infelizmente não foi uma experiência positiva

George e tutto lo staff sono persone veramente gentili, disponibili e accoglienti. Ci hanno organizzato varie escursioni e il transfer dall'aeroporto in maniera molto efficiente. La posizione della struttura è centrale e molta comoda. La terrazza panoramica è accogliente e caratteristica. Le stanze erano pulite e spaziose. La colazione era molto tipica e buona. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Such an amazing staff (extra special thank you to the young girl with a beautiful curly hair!!), all my questions were answered and I never felt like a burden. Rooms were clean, the location great if you want yo explore Cairo, and breakfast vegetarian!<3

다합서 밤버스로이동해 카이로 아침일찍 도착했는데 체크인도 해주고 조식까지 제공해 주었습니다 그 어느호스텔보다 다양한 메뉴로 조식을 제공해 숙박객들의 건강까지 챙겨주는 멋진 숙소입니다 다음에 다시 카이로 방문 한다면 저는 꼭 세실리아를 선택하겠습니다. 여행중 이런 만족스런 숙소를 만난다면 그 여행은 성공입니다.

Super lovely hostel. Booked one night, stayed 5 in the end. Beds are some of the most confortable I had in hostels, bathrooms always clean, terrace is amazing, plenty for breakfast and the best is the staff. All of them are amazing and helpful. Location is great not far from the nile, restaurants, shops everything around. Definitely stay here when I come back.

Mukava hostelli keskustassa, lähellä ravintoloita ja palveluja. Terassilta on upeat näköalat kaupunkiin. Henkilökunta on todella ystävällinen ja avulias. Hostellissa on kotoinen ilmapiiri

Hostellissa on useampi WC mutta jos huoneen läheinen WC on varattu osaan pitää mennä vastaanoton kautta.

Absolutely brilliant hostel. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. It’s very social and easy to meet other travellers. The hostel is very well situated, as a solo female traveller I felt very safe at all times. I don’t want to leave , the place feels like home now.

Old building but renovated room

L’accueil et le personnel sont exceptionnels! Certainement le meilleure de tous les hôtels et autres hébergements que nous avons expérimenté en Égypte. L'équipe est toujours disponible , jour et nuit. La petite terrasse au dessus du bruits des rues du Caire est un havre de paix, cosy avec ces coussins, ses plantes, etc. On trouve ici un refuge reposant âpres une journée fatigante des divers visites au Caire. Bon lit dans les chambres.

Les chambres sont correct et propre, mais spartiate. Un armoire avec des cintres, une chaise et une place pour poser sa valise seront un plus appréciable.

A good central location with good access to the city and surroundings, friendly helpful staff always available to give a hand.

L'hôtel est très bien situé à deux pas de la place Tahrir. Les chambres sont très spacieuses et les lits étaient très confortables et très propres. La vue était très belle depuis la chambre (vue sur une église Copte). La vue depuis la terrasse du petit-déjeuner est aussi agréable ! Le personnel a été remarquable, ils ont répondu à nos questions très rapidement sur internet avant le voyage, puis ils ont été très professionnels et aidant pendant notre séjour ! Il régnait une très bonne ambiance entre tous les touristes et le personnel. Le petit-déjeuner est aussi un plus ! il est copieux et avec des plats égyptiens !

Il y a peu de mobilier dans les chambres et peu de placards, Il pourrait y avoir des petites lampes de chevet pour lire également mais ce sont des détails ;)

Shoutout to the people running this hostel! Always smiling, they are very attentive to their guests. Sandra always have great tips! Breakfast is simple, but it’s fresh and there’s all you need to fill up your stomach for the day. Great restaurant 2 minutes from the reception. You’ll get nothing better for the price. Evening beer at their terrace is priceless.

酒店位置很好，就在解放碑附近，举步能去kfc、金拱门或者pizzahut解决餐食。

酒店位置在平台上没有标注清在6楼，虽然有电梯，但是不熟悉根本就没注意，整个楼很老旧，除了顶楼的酒店其他都黑压压的，有点瘆人。临街的房间真的很吵。早餐很一般。

スタッフはみな感じがよく親切でした。 朝食がとても美味しかったです。 部屋は広くて、バスルームも清潔でした。 地下鉄の駅にも近く、立地も良かったです。

窓が密閉タイプではないため、外の空気や音が部屋の中に多少入ってきます。1月に泊まったので少し寒かったです。お湯の温度も少しぬるかったです。車の音は聞こえますが、睡眠には問題ありませんでした。 朝食会場にハトがいるため、衛生的に少し気になります。椅子が糞や食べカスで少し汚れていたので、もう少し清掃してもらえると、より素敵な朝食になると思います。
