The location was great for the cathedral and close enough to the city centre to walk
The bathroom needed a bit of TLC but still usable
Convenient for philharmonic
Nothing that would stop us rebooking
The lady doing breakfast was friendly. The shower cubicle was a decent size.
Wasn't aware that needed code to obtain access or would not gave booked. Also this by no means can be described as a hotel its at best a B&B.I could not find any instructions on how to contact anyone if there was an issue as apart from lady doing breakfast never saw a member of staff.
Location.
So much. It was not clean. The shower did not work properly during the heatwave. The owner said it was fine but it really wasn’t. Breakfast was dreadful. The kitchen area did not feel clean
Great location for cathedral and for baltic markets
Breakfast
perfect location as i was attending an event only 10 mins walk from hotel
Stairs
Perfect location
Nothing, we couldn't stay there as it was disgusting
Muliple iron marks on the carpet, curtains hanging off rail, mould in shower, musty smell in room. huge dirty air conditioning system right outside our window, Drug addicts and homeless hanging around outside front door. Photographs on booking.com nothing like reality.
Love the city
Nothing. cheap and cheerful.
Beds comfy
Location about 20 mins walk to centre. Needs tlc, could be really nice, got potential. Fan in bathroom on for ages. Can't fill kettle dies go under tap have to fill cup up and pour in kettle, plug near floor to connect. Stayed in room 5, Self check in and out. Would be nice to offer a breakfast like fruit cereal in the room in the fridge.
Great location,quirky furniture comfy bed
Weird smell (room 6) temperamental shower. Breakfast to be avoided at all costs.
Ann was lovely to talk to and gave me tips about the city. We enjoyed the hotel. It was luxurious and a very beautiful property. My deluxe room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and plentyful and the location was so close to everything was walked the whole time we stayed.
If Paul McCartney visited us!
Not clean, a very bad smell in the room, very limited breakfast options, doesn't deserve the price.
not a lot
difficulty getting in. Had to phone assistance. Attic room, up a great number of steep stairs, very noisy with traffic throughout the night. Breakfast very unappealing and would not recommend. pl
A luxurious vintage feel with a grand, elegant atmosphere, beautiful decor , and wonderfully comfortable beds.
Location was good
The room was in a poor state of repair. I reported the shower riser broken and soap dish. I was promised this would be tended to - it wasn’t. We had no room service at all on the Friday - no tea, coffee, bins emptied or fresh towels and toilet paper! The carpet was in an appalling condition and the general decor was tired. Not good value for what we paid - a deluxe apartment! We would never stay in that establishment again and the basement kitchen was a health hazard! Breakfast included? - it wasn’t!
Easy access to hotel very large room bed, very comfy bed, quirky down a couple of steps dressing table and large bathroom.
A little tied dated needs attention but for price ok I suppose ! Shower could do with a better clean around the silver tray part that was disgusting use a tooth brush to clean thats easy to do ? Fridge had to be turned off at night to noisy
Camera ampia e pulita. Letto comodo. Staff cordiale
Schoon
Bediening douche
Location is good
Small for your money, no staff at the hotel.
The location was ok as it was in a quiet area and close to the bus stops.
The room was clean but the tv didn’t work and it was a bit outdated. The curtains were not properly on the rails and the wash basin took ages to Empty.
Great location and the room had everything needed.
Room was spacious, bed comfy, good blinds and curtains so not too light. Windows OK for traffic noise. Very easy to get in and host very accommodating of our request to drop luggage off early.
Breakfast was a bit underwhelming.....
Nice room and comfortable bed Close to town centre Easy checkin
Couldn't fill the kettle in the sink, also the lead was not long enough to reach the plug socket, so had to either put the kettle on the floor or on the bedside table
Disappointing stay – definitely not “deluxe” My mum and I recently stayed here and booked two deluxe double rooms. Unfortunately, they were far from what I would consider deluxe, and the hotel itself is in desperate need of some love and attention. Both rooms felt very tired and dated. There were numerous maintenance issues, including broken door locks, light switch sockets hanging off the wall, and in my mum’s room the curtains were broken so they couldn’t even be closed properly. The furniture was old, with stained chairs, and the bathrooms looked worn, with dirty, stained grout that made them feel unclean despite appearing to have been cleaned. Breakfast was another disappointment. Finding the breakfast room was confusing as it’s located in the basement, and there was nobody around to direct us. We genuinely thought we’d gone the wrong way and ended up wandering into the laundry room before a member of staff eventually appeared. We were then told she’d just been out shopping for the breakfast ingredients. The breakfast itself was very poor. The “bacon” looked more like slices of warmed ham, and the overall quality was well below what we’d expect from a hotel charging for deluxe accommodation. The staff we encountered were pleasant enough, but unfortunately that couldn’t make up for the overall condition of the hotel. With some significant investment and refurbishment, it could have potential, but in its current state I don’t feel the rooms or the hotel justify being described as “deluxe.” Sadly, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
Расположение, чистые полотенца и постельное белье, горячие завтраки
Плохой сигнал интернета на верхних этажах, в номере даже мессенджеры проверить невозможно,
Comfy bed ,friendly staff, nice and quiet, ideal location, clean The owner was accommodating and did supply oat milk and vegan sausage
There was a very nasty smell coming from the shower drain ,3 flights of stairs to climb to room, the morning we were leaving there was a very large water leak through the extractor fan in the bathroom ceiling
La camera era grande, il letto comodo e il bagno funzionale. Coffee corner molto apprezzato. Self check in rapido e spiegato alla perfezione
Unica nota negativa la colazione. È troppo scarna metterei più opzioni.
Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. Unless I missed it, would benefit from a fan as the room is in the eaves and very hot ( though stayed during exceptionally hot time of year). Had to call to gain access but not an issue as the lady I spoke to was very helpful. A little further out of the city centre up a very steep hill but was good value for the money I paid. Thank you.
Great location
Attic bedroom very hot. No fan or AC. Common areas tatty. Alley next to hotel strewn with rubbish .
La posizione, la zona non mi ha ispirato serenità e viste anche le altre recensioni ho rinunciato al pernottamento
Room was spacious spotless, self check in worked fine. Excellent location on a relatively quiet street in the heart of Liverpool.
Absence of any staff made it a pretty impersonal place to stay.
Bed was comfortable and provided coffee and tea facilities
Wifi did not reach top room, shower had mould, hair conditioner not provided. Bedroom door did not have a double lock. No front desk to talk to anyone.
Ann was amazing very helpful and very friendly also really knowledgeable about the area and pointed us in the direction of a lovely pub.
Nothing really. Although it's dated in places however it is a Georgian town house.
It's positioning on the edge of the city and all amenities.
Location fantastic hotel spotless Met ann lovely lady very friendly and helpful
Nothing
Lo stile è molto bello, l entrata fantastica e la camera spaziosa
Troppi scricchiolii del legno , staff inesistente e colazione solo salata su richiesta
Everything was automated so entry and exit was simple with no persons involved. Room was small but comfortable. Double glazing reduced the traffic street noise. Breakfast was basic but decent and the service was very prompt and personal.
One of the bulbs in the bathroom was out so it was a bit dark inside it. The stairs were a bit tough for an old man like me but it's a Georgian Townhouse!
The bed was comfy, bed and towels were clean. Good location
Unfortunately the room was not like the pictures at all. Furniture was old, curtains had holes in and the curtain tie back hook fell off the wall when I closed them. The shower door didn’t shut fully, the bedroom window had a gap from the glass to the seal! The property was not clean overall, there were stains on carpet, dust and dirt on outside of shower and under the bed looked like it had never been hoovered! Glad we were only staying for one night but was absolutely not worth the money and a disappointment to the photos
Good location, next to cathedral, good breakfast
Some sockets did not work, a bit ghosty and tired
The tv
Pore Indore lights when you get to the room after dark
Everything was great. The host was very responsive location was perfect and the rooms were really well kept.
Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but not a big deal as I was able to use my data
Confortable
The location was fantastic for what I needed. No fuss checking in. Room was on the ground floor, no stairs, which was ideal
Nothing to report
Nothing
Room was smelly not universal friendly
Grand, Victorian decor , massive room.
Near to hospital
Black mould n scum at lower area of shower
We paid £110 per room, per night. Room 1- smelled like very strong of wet dogs/ damp. Carpets looked and felt unclean. Shower didn't work properly and no plug for the sink. Bedding and towels were clean. Room 2- heating didn't work. We stayed on a cold, rainy night when a bit of warmth would have been welcomed. We couldn't close the curtains as one of them was partially hanging off its hooks. This meant the sun came through early morning and woke us up. There was no door on the shower, it had a plastic curtain which was also hanging off. No iron or hairdryer in the room. Definitely no slippers as advertised. They were needed as the carpet wasn't clean and had iron burn marks on it. The bed was large, comfortable with clean bedding and towels. It says it has a garden but this wasn't looked after, broken outdoor furniture. I can imagine in it's day it was a lovely hotel. However, it's now very dated and needs some TLC.
Large room with 3 single beds great for the price and 15 minutes walk into town
Wifi doesn’t work in the top room Cleanliness was cursory Parking is non existent
El alojamiento estaba cerca para poder llegar cómodamente a todos lados . La atención de la anfitriona
El TV no era smart solo podíamos ver programas locales
Wart polecenia, dobrze zlokalizowany, wygodny.
Dobra lokalizacja, architektura, wyposażenie, dostępna kafejka. Bezproblemowy kontakt z obsługą. Szybkie zameldowanie/wymeldowanie.
Łazienka - popękana i trzeszcząca podłoga, nieodnawiane od dawna pomieszczenia, przetarte sprzęty.

Shabby needed tlc
its position in Liverpool.
The blind in the room did not work so there was only privacy if I closed the curtains which made room very dark. The shower needed cleaning. It was grubby around the outside.
Anne the host was amazing, she was very accommodating to us. She was easy to contact, and very responsive if there was an issue.
It was a fairly comfortable room for a night.
There is no hotel parking so cars are left on the road. This means everything needs to be removed from the car and carried to your room. Sunday breakfast was due at 8.00am however staff were late so I ended up with only tea and toast, so that I could get to a 8.30 function.
No positives
I booked this hotel purely for its location near the cathedral for a graduation, but it turned out to be just awful. I genuinely considered leaving and driving home rather than staying. We stayed in Room 2 on the ground floor. The building is essentially an old Victorian house with seemingly no soundproofing whatsoever, every footstep and bit of movement from the room above could be heard clearly. The room was absolutely freezing. There is a small electric heater in the corner which does not work, so the room never warmed up. Cleanliness and overall condition are extremely poor. The carpet and furniture is heavily stained with visible burn/iron marks. The TV remote was filthy, with built-up dirt between the buttons 🤮. Wallpaper is peeling off the walls, and the curtains are barely hanging on. The bathroom was just as bad. There was visible mould in the shower, and the proper glass shower door has clearly broken at some point and been replaced with a cheap, dirty plastic screen which looks completely unhygienic. The bed was also in a terrible state, the divan base is ripped and badly worn and should have been replaced a long time ago. The décor feels neglected and thrown together. At the back there is a garden area which appears completely overgrown and not maintained at all. Check-in is via a lockbox at the front door, which adds to the overall impression that this is not a properly managed hotel. It felt more like entering a dirty HMO than a place intended for paying guests. This is, without question, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I have never regretted a booking as much as this. I would strongly advise others to avoid.
Central and comfortable
Nothing
Literally everything, if I am up in Liverpool again for work or anything I will be looking to stay here.
The only negative is no WiFi or none that I saw. Apart from that I have no negatives about my stay.
Very easy to find in a great location. Room was really comfortable!
Security.... Someone walked into our room at 1am. Dread to think what would have happened if I was alone.
Hotel was in a great location just a short cab ride to centre or 20min walk. Check in was easy with full instructions and the room was clean with no issues. Would use again.
Great location, very comfortable beds, reasonably priced. Easy check in.
Little tired in places, could be very luxurious because it’s a beautiful building. Wouldn’t stop us coming back though!
Lovely building, nice and clean, checking in was seamless, thank you.
The room was great
The club nearby made it hard to sleep but thats out of the hotels control
Shower didn’t work properly. Water went warm for 30 seconds then constantly changed between scolding hot and freezing cold. Cannot fill kettle up in the room as it is too bulky to fit within the toilet sink for the tap.
Location
Dirty shower. Tired decor Cheap toilet seat wouldn’t stay up
Nothing
Unfortunately we did not like our stay here. It was sold as a deluxe room. Leaking toilet. Screws all over the place and dirty carpets. I spent 20 mins adjust the door closers just so me and my wife could walk in and out safely. Definitely not as advertised
Excellent location and was facilitated with a late check out which was very much appreciated. Really good value for money
Nothing, for the price no complaints
Great location, easy check in, big comfy bed and decent shower.
Nothing
Pictures on booking.com completely different to the room
Rooms were comfortable and clean, and in a great location to explore the city.
Some things in need of maintenance (e.g. broken shower rail, so the shower had to be hand held, and the bathroom sink was slow to drain). But overall, the room was comfortable had everything we needed.
Great location ,very clean
N/a
Location is okay
The fabric of the building and room needs a complete refurbishment. Completely outdated.
Location and parking
No central heating, wifi information wasn’t in the room so it got missed in the hallway, didn’t meet any staff, no real service or cleaning, interior was tired generally
We raved so much about this hotel when we stayed the same time last year that we couldn't wait to return. This time it was different. Room 10 was warm and comfortable and perfectly adequate; its location, however, right next to the staircase, meant you could hear any guests walking up. The bathroom looked great, but the hot water tap was almost impossible to turn on; it had to be held in place, as otherwise, it rotated completely round. We did inform reception, but nothing was done, nor did they suggest we relocate to another room. The shower was equally in need of attention. Apart from water spraying all over the place and wetting the floor, it was impossible to turn it off completely and therefore, it dripped all night. We had to ensure the door to the bathroom was closed during the night so that it didn't disturb us. We ate here on both nights and enjoyed the food, which was reasonably priced. The staff were very nice in the restaurant area. Would I stay here again, of course. Perfect location, close to the town centre, free parking, fridge in the room, coffee machine, and comfortable bed. We just struck unlucky with the room this time. Will be more picky next time we stay
Room was what we needed for the night, comfortable, spacious, good check in and check out time. easy enough instructions to follow to get in accommodation without desk to check in. would recommend accomdation
Nothing not to like, everything we needed
On street parking really beneficial.
Some minor maintenance tweaks needed in the bathroom
Historical location very close to city cathedrals
Cleanliness Old electric sockets didn’t work No socket near kettle had to use floor Bathroom smelt of damp
Booked standard room that is now called standard room (attic). I The booking info showed a picture of a large Georgian windowed room - very unlike the one we got. A third of the room was too low for me (at 6ft) to stand up in. It was up some windy, unevenly carpeted stairs that my wife chose to crawl up. The shower had lots of mould around it's base. The skylight had a unremovable cover, so minimal natural light was accessible, let alone views. The same skylight would not close properly so we were treated to traffic noises, from the busy road, for most of the night. There were other issues (no socket near the drinks tray) and the absence of any evacuation information that, combined with the aforementioned stairs, made for an uneasy stay. In retrospect I would have preferred to driven home to Manchester. It is very likely the worst hotel room that I have stayed in.
I am an editorial content creator , I was glad the rooms are as pictures if not better and Staff was the best Gorgeous Ann was so accommodating, reliable, understanding and caring. She is expectional and a good problem solver .
Nothing
Lady checking in friendly and very helpful Location
Bug on bed Water leaking through light
Comfortable bed
Location too far from city centre given the weather room dated and no instructions
Good location, clean.
Great location
Nothing like the photograph. It was cold and very tired looking
Easy self check in
It was all good no issues
the room was a great size, lovely big windows. included a tv, and radiator you could control- really liked this! I like how there was also a make up area!
its hard because I don't like giving negative feedback, but the room is just so tired and dated. the wallpaper is coming off the wall, I think one of the plug sockets didn't work as when we tried to turn the lamp on it wouldn't work, but when we moved the plug it did... the curtain is hanging off the rail on the top, the bathroom has a ridiculous amount of build up of limescale- it just isn't getting cleaned properly. there's an iron burn on the floor, dust around by the lamps, and the light in the bathroom- you can barely see in there! realistically that room is only worth 60£ a night at best, and I think they need to reevaluate their prices if they are not going to do anything about the quality of their rooms.
Lovely character building. Warm and comfortable.
It was all good.
Good location, easy access, comfortable bed
Very tired looking, rooflight doesn't close properly, door not terribly secure, shower decent but needs resealing, lots of extension cables as few sockets. Get what you pay for tho
The location was very convenient.
As predicted, it is a steep climb up the stairs to an upper floor room, especially if one is carrying heavy luggage.
