Good location, peaceful and within easy reach of good walking and various attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very spacious with a large comfy bed. Not the prettiest building from the outside but very nice inside. Bar / lounge area was very comfortable and the food very good. Would happily stay here again
Host was excellent, couldnt do more.
There were a lot of flies
Clean, nice location and friendly staff
Needs updating. Quite dated
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable room.
There was nothing to dislike about the property.
Very charming hotel.. Staff were quite friendly and helpful... The breakfast was delicious Will definitely be back...
No Air Conditioning....
Secure bike storage was much appreciated. We enjoyed our meal in the bar. Breakfast was also very good.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and well stocked. Great shower.
A bit dated but this did not alter our experience.
Overpriced
Really nice hosts.
Excellent breakfast, nice quiet location, perfect stop on our way north. A certain old world charm.
Comfy traditional country hotel in stunning, totally peaceful location. Run by lovely people.
Nothing to dislike.
Nice location, well furnished, comfortable.
A failure of attention to detail in some areas took the shine off a little.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

It was cozy
Ideal stopover and dog friendly. Small but clean room, hotel has character and a nice friendly feel, helped by the lovely team working here. Had supper in the conservatory and an excellent breakfast. Good value for money too
Room was a bit hot but a fan was provided
Location great, food delicious, room clean and comfortable with efficient and friendly staff.
Friendly, comfortable and clean
Food in the evening ordinary.
Schoon en vriendelijk personeel
Ziet er aan de buitenkant niet uitnodigend uit
A very warm welcome to a beautiful location. The room was well equipped and comfortable with a pretty outlook. Beautifully cooked fish for dinner and a very good Full English breakfast with what looked like plenty of alternatives if you didn't want a cooked breakfast. Particularly good Cumberland sausages! A pleasant conservatory for relaxing after dinner, looking onto the garden and field beyond. Beautiful walks just straight out of the door.
Just a few minor maintenance jobs like the bathroom door not closing and a slightly noisy fan. The sort of thing which doesn't really affect your stay, but need fixing for next time. I let the receptionist know and she was very professional about it.
Dog friendly, clean, comfortable hotel in a lovely area with friendly staff.
Nothing
The management and staff were amazing and worked so hard they really make the place, they work so hard and he can see that they’re genuinely doing everything to make your stay amazing, keep up the good work guys we appreciate you.
Thank staff everyone one of them just amazing
Nothing apart from rooms very hot. However they provided a fan and it was hot

Everybody very friendly and cooperative, I two times arrived quite late but both times was still able to order dinner.
I stayed during days that temperatures went up to over 30, so without airco the room was quite hot.
Dog friendly, clean, pleasant location
Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Goed diner is de relaxte tuin
Geen bijzondere omgeving. Als Coast2coast fietsers ook niet van belang

Beautiful property out in the countryside. Very peaceful.
Excellent breakfast. The room was clean and well proportioned with everything that was required. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and made the stay.
Slightly disappointed with the limited choice for gluten free options for dinner as my wife is coeliac.
Very convenient. Nice staff. Great walk for the dog
Ugly outside appearance but everything inside good
Comfy
One cobweb
Perfect place to stay to break our journey home, just off the M6 and far enough away to enjoy the peaceful village location. The room was comfortable, food delicious and friendly staff.
The hotel was very clean, perhaps a little dated in the public area. The dinner was excellent well presented and delicious, as was the breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable, spotless bedding and plenty of hot water.
We found the hotel a little difficult to find ,we thought the hotel would have been nearer the M6.
Friendly welcoming staff. Good breakfast. Great dinner menu, plenty of choice & enjoyed everything we had. Comfortable room.
Bathroom floor could have been more thoroughly cleaned.

Dog friendly, lovely staff and a beautiful area.
The only negative was the cleanliness of the room.
The WiFi. The food was rubbish, 70s microwaved meal. Hideously old fashioned. It was like something Ramsey would have on Kichen Nightmares!
All of it.
Good quiet location to break up a long drive back from Scotland and within easy reach of the lakes.
Nothing.
Good location
We had previously stayed in a 5 star Hotel near Windermere but we far preferred Edenhall for lovely welcoming owners and their staff, Clean comfortable totally relaxed atmosphere where you don’t feel you have to dress up if you don’t want to. Loved the log fire and best breakfast of our entire holiday Bar food extremely good very reasonably priced delicious chips and food piping hot. Our Room was very comfortable
Leaving the Hotel and beautiful surroundings. Could have stayed longer
Good location, really nice staff, comfortable, good for dogs, reasonable food. Good parking. We just like staying there.
Enjoyed the meals
Breakfast should be included in the booking
Restaurant is nice
Room is too small
Weinig
Bedden te smal, te kort, kamer is steeds verlicht door de lichten buiten
The woman who checked me in was really helpful—a joy to deal with. She went above and beyond to make my stay the best it could be, even offering to make me a sandwich because i arrived too late for dinner. Incredible service.
Lovely hotel in a quiet village, close to M6. A stopover night for us. Comfortable room, friendly staff and excellent food. Very dog friendly and staff told us about lovely local walks that our boys 🐕🐶really enjoyed.
Perfect location for our group. Rooms all good and comfortable. Evening meals very good especially the Sunday roast. Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly.
Cannot think of anything.
Great place to stay nice food clean nice rooms friendly staff
Breakfast was excellent huge choice and freshly prepared. Had dinner in hotel pub menu was great
This place was beyond amazing. The staff were great, breakfast was on point and the area was perfect. Probably best sleep and comfortable bed outside my own.
The hotel is set in nice surroundings, the building itself is mostly modern. The room was large and comfortable, with a new bathroom and big bathtub. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The garden could do with a little more care. Also, signposting for the hotel on the road to Edenhall village wasn’t great.
Great location, comfortable rooms, fantastic food and staff. Plenty of parking and garage for bikes.
It would have been good to have a fridge
Close to C2C cycle route. Shower very good and Nice breakfast
Room quite small but tidy and clean
Rooms. Beautiful, tranquil location. QUIET. Stunning country location.
Great location for our stay in easy reach of the Lake District. Friendly staff and good food. Bathroom was modern with a lovely shower. There’s a small garden area that we enjoyed for drinks outside when we arrived. Comfortable bar area and a lovely dining area. The cooked breakfast choice was only standard cooked English breakfast items, but there was fresh fruit and lovely yoghurt pots as well as various cereals
Our top floor room was very hot on the day we stayed. The curtains had been drawn to block out the sun, but as they’re unlined, it was still very warm. Fans were however provided in the room however to cool it down. A non slip bath mat would be useful as the bath was quite slippy when getting showered
Brilliant located for Penrith
Gap between door and wall let light in
Lovely big room
Bar area needs a deep clean
Staff very friendly and accommodating Nothing was too much trouble.
Nothing
This time we had penthouse suite, room was spacious, nice big bathroom, we ate in the Bar, lovely meal, Breakfast was good too, good continental or a cooked breakfast was on offer, service was very good .
Not much really , as i am older a grab bar for when you take a shower would have been good as the bath is very big and nothing to hold onto .
Great breakfast and dinner menu. Room clean but a little on the small side.
Room was a little smaller than I expected.
Loverly bath and comfy bed.
location, room layout was amazing Every member of staff i dealt with was excellentk
windows are hard to access and obviously hadn't been cleaned for a very long time No elevator so anyone with limited mobility will struggle No master light control at the side of the bed...
The property is an excellent location for family get togethers or events. The layout ensures safe space for children to play and a secure garden.
Would have liked another pillow on the bed.
Breakfast very good
Room 4 had a generator close to my room and I couldn’t sleep because if the noise, very annoying plus a lot of movement noise which continued till 1 am,
