Koch Haus Bed & Breakfast

.

Farm house and grounds were beautiful. The hosts were gracious and most hospitable.

The residence was lovely with a lot of character. It had a lovely wooded setting and a rafter of turkeys emerged from the woods to greet us upon arrival! The hosts were kind and interesting! They played a mean game of cards as well!

Hosts were awesome, very welcoming, accommodating

The property is lovely, spacious, beautiful and quiet. One night is not enough to take in the beauty of this place. Ilya is kind, fun and hospitable. Breakfast was delicious and filling. I was happy that the town is less than 10 minutes from the property.

Property was in the country and the surroundings were beautiful. The house is quite old but updated. I enjoyed the host and hostess very much.

This property is set in a rural quiet setting on the outskirts of Stratford and we enjoyed the setting, guest house the owners, and their friendliness made us feel at ease. The breakfasts were amazing and lots of food and choices to suit every palate.

Great place to get away and relax in a quiet setting with a delicious breakfast and excellent care.

a very charming century stone house. Ilya & Bruce were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating and made you feel welcomed. Would highly recommend this B&B.

The house itself takes one back into Canadian history, and the property and gardens are a delight to one's eyes and spirit. The hosts are outstanding, being warm, friendly and accommodating. Everything is as described with no unpleasant surprises.

Loved the warm and welcoming hosts and quaint charm of the house and surrounding property.

Beautiful, quiet setting just outside of Stratford. Great breakfasts, beautiful home and wonderful host.

The property is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. The owners are inviting and friendly. We were in town for the Stratford Festival, and the house was a very reasonable distance from downtown while still feeling secluded and quiet. The food was amazing. We are definitely planning on going back!

Completely charming, gorgeous grounds, warm and friendly hostess. I would choose to stay here again and again!

The experience at Koch Haus B&B was top notch. We were treated like family. The information on Hotels.com site about the location need some corrections: You state that they accept VISA ONLY but that is not accurate. It is farther from the Festival Theater than you state by a few km. It certainly is fartherto Lake Huron than you indicated - which was 5 minutes. 50 minutes would be closer to the needed travel time. Angus and Nancy MacLennan

Friendly host, very clean, comfy, great landscaping/shrubbery, fantastic breakfast.

The owners are awesome. Felt like staying with family. Great country farm setting just outside of town.

The hosts were really friendly and helpful. We felt at home.

Enormous gardens, if you like todo a lot of walking. comfortable bed.

Beautiful property, Friendly and accommodating hosts. Very clean. Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Very impressed with the country home. Thank you Ilya and Bruce!

Everything was perfect, the hosts, the rooms, the breakfast.

Our stay was fantastic. We enjoyed everything. The bedroom was so cozy, breakfast was delicious with such a variety. We loved the hostess. She was very helpful and friendly.

Gracious hosts, tranquil setting, lovely room. One of the best B&B's we've ever stayed at. Looking forward to our return next year.

Beautiful place, Lovely people, and wonderful breakfast. Simply wish we had locks on our bedroom door!

Hosts and property excellent.would definately stay again

Loved the blooming lilacs under my window. Happy to see it's a bike-able distance to Stratford for next time. Great breakfast.

Owners were great ! Breakfast was wonderful. GPS & Google put it 3km away from B&B, so do check road numbers carefully as you approach.

Ilya was very friendly and welcoming. The room was great and the breakfast was amazing! Would highly recommend.

The Koch Haus is charmingly beautiful. The home was immaculate and the hosts were hospitable, gracious, and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We hit the jackpot by staying there and would love to stay there again if in the area.

This is a lovely century home that has been lovingly restored, set in a wonderful garden. We didn't meet Bruce, but Ilya was an outstanding host, friendly and helpful, made us feel at home, and gave us one of the best breakfasts we've had in a B&B. Stratford is minutes away, but you might be tempted to linger on the patio.

The property is in a quiet rural location. The grounds contain a pond, lots of gardens and bird feeders to draw in a variety of birds. The eggs for breakfast came from their own hens. Very fresh.

Hosts were wonderful! Lovely home and property. Breakfast had everything one could want and they made sure to check for any dietary concerns. The neighbour's dog came for a visit and we took the time to go for a walk on the trail that runs alongside their property. It was lovely! We highly recommend this property and will certainly stay with the Koch's again if in the area. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Ilya and Bruce are very friendly and warm hosts. Beautiful scenery, delicious breakfast, and wonderful experiences. Wish to visit with my family once again.

Enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and the hosts very very nice. The breakfast was excellent, lots of variety and very fresh. We would go back.

There was no comfortable seating in the home. A powerful deodorizer was used throughout the house and we felt rushed to finish our coffee and get through our self-serve breakfast.

Excellent home and host

Beautiful quiet B&B, very friendly, great breakfast.

Super accommodating and welcoming hosts. 5 minutes from theatres. Need a car. Rural charming setting and interesting heritage house.

Very friendly, forthcoming service. Great Host.

I would strongly recommend staying here. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The bed was excellent as were the linens. The owner/operator was a joy to talk to. I also enjoyed the conversations with other customers whom which we shared a breakfast table. Breakfast was also very good. Though I didn't have a chance to use it there's a lovely pond at the back which kept saying come sit by me and relax. The only negative I can say about place is that the water is hard and has a bit of an odor. Bottled water was in the room so drinking it was not a problem.

Two of the most pleasant hosts I have ever met!

This bed and breakfast has a cozy feel to it. The owners are very friendly and are happy to sit and visit. Breakfast has a variety of offerings including hot options, you will not leave the table hungry!! It is quiet. Located just outside of town but close enough to be convenient. We enjoyed our stay and made new friends, we look forward to returning.

Great owners/operators, wonderful reception and a great breakfast

Absolutely outstanding experience: beautiful place, delicious breakfast, immaculate rooms, spectacular gardens and warm owners. It is a great place to stay and within a short drive to the Stratford Festival. 100% recommended and we most certainly will come back!

Quiet, beautiful surroundings, friendly hosts, cozy rooms, plentiful and delicious breakfasts.

The place was immaculate and the room comfortable, if a bit small. New bathroom worked very well. The grounds behind the house are superb, treed with a small pond, the whole thing surrounded by mature trees. Service excellent and the breakfast was excellent,. The owner even got up to make us breakfast before 7:00, as we had to be on the road asap

Ilya and Bruce are wonderful hosts who graciously provided a friendly comfortable stay in their beautiful farm setting. Delicious breakfast - with fresh eggs from their own chickens! I love their attention to detail in the design and decoration of this century home. What was extra special was the opportunity to stay in their "travel home" (given that the three bedrooms inside the home were already booked). This was no trailer, but a luxurious home on wheels (that they use for winter travel) with all the comfort and privacy of an upscale condo. We were so surprised and delighted! And we look forward to booking with them again on our next Stratford visit.

Great place, wonderful people. Grounds make you wonder if there is any way you could stay there forever. Breakfast amazing. If you're going to the Stratford area you won't go wrong staying here.

It was an amazing stay. Old style house with modern services and equipment. Every corner is unique; the property is beautiful. Ilia and Bruce, the owners are great in terms of hospitality and attention to details; and they are very very nice people ! The breakfast in the sunroom with a beautiful view to the property was huge, tasty and relaxing. We will stay there again and recommend our friends

The Koch house was wonderful. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, room was very comfortable and the wonderful breakfast in the screened in area overlooking the grounds was very relaxing.
