Tolle Lage direkt am Strand und schöner Aussicht. Team ist hilfsbereit.

Pool war bei unserer Ankunft leider nicht sauber. Wurde später gereinigt. Bei diesem Preis muss meines Erachtens aber alles perfekt sein.

So eine schöne, gepflegte Unterkunft in Plett! Sehr aufmerksames Personal, tolles Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit Meerblick. Am Valentinstag gab's Sektfrühstück. Gerne wieder.

Der Ausblick und das Frühstück war phänomenal, zusätzlich super nettes Personal.

Der Fitnessraum ist eher eine kleine Kammer mit nicht nutzbaren Geräten.

Booking.com problems! I paid upfront but Periwinkle says otherwise! This causes great discomfort

The whole property, facilities, food, location but most importantly the staff! This house is amazing and everything in it. Everything you could wish for is here. Our room overlooked the sea. The breakfast was amazing as was the afternoon cake, (lemon meringue). The restaurant recommendations perfect, Barringtons and Sotto. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

That we didn’t book to stay longer!

Sehr schönes Guest House direkt am Meer gelegen. Beim Frühstück haben wir einmal sogar Delphine gesehen.Wir waren vier Nächte da und konnten mit dem Auto alles gut erreichen, was wir vor hatten. Das Personal ist top und das Frühstück sehr gut und ausreichend.

Periwinkle was a great little guest house. Wonderful views of the beach, fabulous food and great service.

We had an amazing time at Periwinkle Lodge—everything was perfect from start to finish. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the lodge had the most beautiful sea views. A huge thank you to Brian, who truly made our stay extra special! He was so friendly, helpful, and always went out of his way to make sure we were happy. The rest of the staff were also lovely, the breakfast was amazing , and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the beach and close to everything. Thank you to Brian and the Periwinkle team for an unforgettable stay and making my birthday so special with the lovely cupcakes.

Very attractive accommodation in the waterfront. Rooms and breakfast excellent. Only slight reservation is that transport - car or taxis- is essential for dinner. But otherwise a wonderful place.

Excellent location and sevice! The guest house provides excellent service (Clifford did a very good job!) and the rooms with balconies offer a stunning sea view. Breakfast was very good. Rooms are clean and luxurious. We did not use the pool due to weather, but it also was very clean.

A stunning location , very nice rooms with a beech and ocean view and super friendly helpful staff. Faultless. Morning breakfast was also such a pleasure in the airy balconied breakfast room watching dolphins in the bay.

Perfect hideaway in top location. Small (only 8 rooms), but super attentive staff and delicious breakfast. 50 meters from the beach.

Staff wonderful.location great. Don’t like security in room 3. Blinds don’t close properly. Security light outside bright. But anybody can walk directly to outside your patio door in seconds. That’s not comfortable. All staff leave by 8 pm. Suggest security review.

Breakfast excellent

We stayed at shellfish for 6 nights it was a lovely quiet lodge to stay at, very close to the beach, the staff were all very helpful . It really felt like your own home, we will definitely be returning

The accommodation is satisfactory. The room description nor photos matched the booking.com description as it said there that ours had a balcony. It didn’t! Pool is far too small. It’s a plunge pool. There are also only 4 sunbeds with no space for any more. This was on for us as no one else using it but wouldn’t have been good otherwise. Says it’s in the beach - it’s not! It’s a 5 min walk to access steps. Beach has no sunbeds. It’s not within walking distance of any shop or restaurant. Nearest is 5min by car There are much better located places than this guest house Room is ok. Nothing special and the shower is too small and low. Staff over friendly and irritating to almost a condescending manner, especially re conversation about no balcony and booking.com description. Breakfast was nice. Cook friendly. Lounge area comfortable

Fabulous guesthouse right in the beach, fantastic view over the beach and bay. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Delicious breakfast and very comfortable room.

We were fully satiesfied with the friendly and professinal Service. Accomodation was top. Ist was a wonderfull stay.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Periwinkle Guest Lodge . Our room was very spacious, clean and fabulous views over the bay. It was my birthday and they very kindly made me chocolate brownies and sang happy birthday at breakfast. Thank you to all the staff that made us feel so very welcome and the breakfast on the terrace each morning was perfect. We had afternoon tea with the best lemon meringue I’ve had, delicious. If you get the chance to stay here you will love it.

A nice and proper Hotel with a beautiful view over the Plettenberg Bay. We spent 3 nights there. Every morning started with a marvelous breakfast and the passionate and warm welcome approach of Brian the manager. He and the entire staff gave us the feeling to be among Friends and welcome.

Our room with balcony overlooking the ocean was lovely, and extremely well appointed.Eating a delicious breakfast whilst watching a pod of dolphins play in the bay was something special too. The staff could not have been more helpful and arranged taxis and restaurant bookngs for us and recommended some great places to eat.

It’s a beautiful property overlooking the beach

2 issues for us. The room we booked was a superior sea view and balcony. However our room sat directly over the roof below which spoils the view. We did ask to move to the room next door which did not have this obstruction but we were informed there were guests there already. We were the first to check in and so we were confused as the room was not open all day and not occupied until the evening. The website photos do not show this obstruction in any picture of the rooms. Additionally the first 2 days were lovely but on the 3rd day drilling started immediately next door and went on all day we had to go out. The building works were on going for some time but not mentioned on the website when booking. However I spoke with the manager and he did compensate us for this.

Amazing place in a perfect location with beautiful views over the sea and beach which is just across a quiet road . Brian and his team will look after you from the moment you arrive . Wonderful!

I loved the decor and general feel of the gorgeous guesthouse

Stairs and Access was confusing Food intolerances were not addressed, e.g., no greek yogurt, decaffeinated coffee, or milk alternative at breakfast

Luxury accomodation in prime location with fantastic view over the Ocean. Attentive Staff friendly and efficient. Rim pool used by guests and local birdlife ..to wash their fresh fish catch. Really comfortable bed. Great effort by staff to get tv going. Lovely Breakfast. Parking good.. Good sized room with quality linen and ammenities.

Wifi could do with a boost.

Richard and Donovan were great, the views from the lounge/patio are exceptional and the location to the beach is outstanding. I will definitely come back for another visit. Freshly baked scones and cakes is a lovely touch that makes it feel homely and the ladies working the breakfast shift are all lovely and helpful and ready to assist in any way they can. The buffet spread was very fresh with a good selection.

Only one thing - the pillows are hard but I say that only because you are asking me what I dont like and perhaps the feedback will be useful to Periwinkel. The Pro's far outweigh the Cons and I would gladly put up with hard pillows as everything else more than makes up for it.

Leider haben wir nicht das Zimmer bekommen, das wir gebucht haben. Wir hatten Meerblick gebucht, also ein Superior Zimmer. Bekommen haben wir ein Standard Zimmer, mit Blick auf den Hof. Das lag daran, dass Expedia in der Unterkunft das Standard Zimmer gebucht hat, und nicht das Superior Zimmer, das wir bei Expedia gebucht haben. Berechnet hat Expedia allerdings uns das Superior Zimmer. Das war sehr ärgerlich. Ich möchte ausdrücklich erwähnen, dass die Unterkunft, der Service, und alles Anderen perfekt war.

beautiful location, gorgeous pool, friendly and helpful staff. wonderful stay.

I was warmly welcomed with the best lemon meringue cake and cappuccino by the deck overlooking the sea. The pool is great - it was drizzling when I went in but still loved it. My room was big and warm too 😊 I forgot his name now, but the man with dreadlocks was really helpful on my arrival. Please give him his flowers 😄.

I didn't get to have breakfast because I was going to do an activity and felt I could have thrown up had I eaten, so I didn't get to taste all that food. 😞

Alles bestens, Frühstück, Lage des Hauses und Zimmer. Jedoch wurde nach dem ersten Tag das Zimmer gewechselt, da Expedia unsere Buchung 40 qm Superiorzimmer anfangs als Standardzimmer weitergegeben hat.

Alles fantastisch. Meerblick, Frühstück, Massagen, Service - alles exzellent.

Periwinkle and it's sister property, Scallop, offer you the loveliest of accommodations and so tastefully done .. the staff make you feel so welcome that it justs elevates your whole trip experience - excellent !

A beachfront guest house, overlooking a beautiful sandy beach. The house is modern with lovely colour schemes to blend with coastal location. All contemporary furnishings. Our rooms looked out over the beach. The lounge and breakfast balcony is on first floor for maximum views. Really friendly staff and great breakfast. We went for a walk before breakfast, you’re on the beach in 2 minutes!

If you want that pampered special feeling with only a few other guests, and a perfect position on the beach, then Periwinkle Lodge is the place for you. A small boutique, family owned, architect designed lodge, we enjoyed personal attention without intruding, comfort and peace and the most perfect views of the beach and the passing dolphins. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the stay and hospitality by staff, however we were quite disappointed that the spa facility on site was not available as we actualy booked at Periwinkle lodge to utilize this facility.This situation was not communicated to us when we booked and the staff were also not familiar with same on our arrival.

We stayed 3 nights and were only let down by the weather, which meant we couldn't enjoy the huge beach across the road and hotel amenities like the fab balcony deck and infinity pool with honesty bar or cocktails made by the small staff team...a very special place where every comfort had been thought of, also treatments on site are good and well priced. Awesome breakfast, thoroughly recommended and a five minute drive from the town with all the great places to see and eat at
