The room was quite smaller than expected based on the listing pictures. Additionally, the host's communication regarding payment was incredibly rude. Despite the agreement that payment would be handled at check-out, the host continuously pestered us and aggressively demanded payment before we even had a chance to speak when we came downstairs to check out early for work.More importantly, the host is highly hostile and unprofessional. When honest feedback about the stay was communicated publicly which I had to remove it cause, the host resorted to severe personal aggression and intimidation over private messaging. I strongly advise people to look elsewhere, as guest privacy and safety are not respected here.

I had a truly comfortable and homely experience during my stay. The staff was exceptionally polite, helpful, and attentive, always ready to assist with anything needed. Cleanliness was maintained at a very high standard throughout the property. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

チェックインでホテル場所がWEB地図上で正しく示されておらず、バイクタクシーで離れた所に止まったのに、スタッフが迎えに来てくれた。 チェックアウトが早朝にもかかわらず、何かと親切に対応してくれた。

屋上の部屋だったので、エレベーター無しで登り降りするのは少しきつかった。

This was an amazing experience from start to finish. The apartment was spotless, beautifully arranged, and in a perfect location. The host was incredibly helpful and communicative. Everything was easy and stress-free. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Premier séjour au Népal, sans référence sur l'hébergement, j’ai attendu pour publier mon avis. A notre arrivée, la chambre de luxe choisie sur booking était occupée . Première proposition chambre avec toilettes communes que j’ai refusée. Seconde option, chambre avec toilettes, non rénovée, froide, triste, sale . J’ai accepté et je n'aurai pas dû. Les autres établissements que nous avons réservé depuis sont accueillants, propres. Je regrette que le propriétaire loue des chambres qui ne correspondent pas aux photos de booking.com. les prix sont identiques ailleurs. Certaines chambres semblent rénovées , propres et ensoleillée s. Pas de chance pour nous, pour le premier jour au Népal.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The team is exceptionally friendly and genuinely trustworthy, which immediately made me feel welcome and well taken care of. The building itself has great charm – well-maintained, clean, and full of character. My room was quiet and very comfortable, perfect for a good night’s rest. Overall, a truly pleasant experience. I would happily stay here again

Peu d'intimité, le patron passait souvent devant la fenêtre, il était aussi assez désagréable, voir méchant du fait que nous n'ayons pas choisi son guide pour notre randonnée.

Отличный чистый номер Мы бронировали 2 - для себя (мы семья) и для нашей подруги. Оба номера со свежим ремонтом, особенно понравились в одном номере резные окна, в другом очень большие в пол. Завтрак тоже хороший.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut, die Lage ist perfekt. Man ist etwas mehr in local Straßen aber trotzdem in 5 Minuten Fußnähe zum Touristenviertel Thamel. Die Dachterrasse ist toll, man hat einen Wahnsinnsblick auf die gesamte Stadt. Das Frühstück hat uns auch sehr gut geschmeckt und das Personal war immer sehr aufmerksam und freundlich zu uns. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das ist der Grund warum wir am Ende unserer Reise in das Blue Mountain Homestay zurück gekommen sind.

I loved the beautiful home with magnificent marble stair cases, a big room with a big soft bed, a fan, hot water and a good cupboard and mirror and complimentary drinking water. The restaurant is.great and the staff are so lovely.. it's a super quiet location and I'd go again anytime! Thank you!

Buddhie the owner is a wonderful host who will do anything to make you comfortable along with helpful Raj who cooks the good food and Krishna who makes sure your room is good and you have everything you need ., all together they make you really feel at home safe and secure helpful and attentive .. this is a lovely place to stay with lots of old Nepali vibes

Blue Mountain Homestay truly felt like home! Very nice, friendly and accommodating owners and staff, very cozy building carefully decorated with family pictures, historical trinkets and love. The location is ideal for walking around the tourist district and reaching the interest points of Kathmandu. The wifi on the upper floor was good enough for my work video calls. When choosing a hotel and homestay this one seemed with character and homely, and it didn't disappoint! I will be returning.

The attached bathroom did not have ventilation which made the bathroom and the room stuffy and unpleasant after a hot shower. However, so far I've noticed this is a Nepal-wide issue.

Cet établissement est tres bien placé pres du Thamel mais demeure excessivement calme. Chaque etage dispose de terrasses utilisables agréablement decorees. Les chambres sont propres. Le personnel est souriant et serviable. Côté petit dejeuner , aucun reproche à formuler non plus. C est amplement suffisant (oeufs, toasts, beurre, confiture, fruits frais et une boisson chaude au choix qui peut etre resservie si besoin). Merci d avoir contribué à notre bien être à Katmandou. We had an excellent stay! Very clean rooms and bathroom, the staff was very friendly and helpful, great breakfast.. Because of the location we had a quiet and peacefull night!

The owner an staff (Deepak and Dawa) were so friendly and helpful. They make sure that your stay is unforgettable. They are running this homestay with their hearts. The location is pretty quiet but only a 5 min walk from Thamel area. The roof terrace is so nice and the views and sunset are lovely!

Herlig opphold. Veldig avslappende og lite stress. God seng, varm dusj, god frokost og fantastisk beliggenhet. Transporten til flyplassen var også enkelt og greit. Alt til en ganske billig penge. Ikke helt hotell, men fortsatt 10/10.

Super friendly and caring staff, welcome dinner, balcony and rooftopterrace to enjoy. We could recharge and escape the busy town at the homestay. Good Continental breakfast with Coffee refill and very hot shower to warm up in Winter.

Bedsheets were pretty dirty and the bathroom did not smell very fresh.

Amazing value for money and what a lovely spot. Just a short walk away from the main shops and restaurants. The setting was beautiful and had such a lovely vibe. The rooftop restaurant was very reasonable and really good and fantastic views accross the city and mountains beyond. The staff were also just so lovely and helpful. Definitely recommend! If we return to Kathmandu we will definitely be staying here!

The BEST shower we’ve had in six weeks of Nepal - amazing pressure and so hot! The shared bathroom was exceptionally clean and so was the bedroom. Lots of space and really comfortable. The location was also great, just a 5 minute walk to Thamel and nice and quiet. The staff were so lovely, on our last day they gave me a complimentary tea and helped to carry our bags down. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

We came here during festive season. They did not have sufficient staffs. Still they prepared the food for us. The rooms were clean.

I paid money to reserve 3 rooms on Booking.com, but only 2 rooms were reserved. When I asked him why only 2 rooms were reserved, he said he forgot to reserve 1 room. And he told us that since this place was overbooked, one of us should go to another hotel. So I told him we would both cancel if we couldn't all sleep in the same hotel, but he told me he couldn't cancel. He then went further and demanded money from us, saying we had not yet paid for the room we had booked. I told him that I had made a reservation using my credit card on Booking.com. He persistently asked us for money, saying he had not received any money from Booking.com. As a hotel owner, how can you be so rude?

This home stay is very colorful and cozy! The room was a really good size and nice and clean. There is a power outlet near the bed, which can really make a difference! Also, the hot water in the shower takes a minute to figure out, but does work really well! The staff is very friendly and will help with any questions you have about your trip.

Blue Mountain is a little bit of a further walk from many of the attractions in Kathmandu- but if you are looking for a nice, quiet place to relax and unwind- this is a very good place to do so.

The initial communication via messenger was a bit difficult to understand each other. I needed a room with a table or desk to work from which I initially didn't get, but they made everything possible for me to be comfortable and changed my room to one that satisfied my working needs. The internet on the top floor works perfectly.

Staff is very nice. Our room was not big but the bed was comfortable and the hot water after a tiring day was something we were grateful for. Also the location is very good.

This was our first stay in Nepal and what a wonderful welcome we received from Mr Buddhi and his family we could not have asked for more. We enjoyed a lovely clean room, hot showers, great internet, wonderful breakfast and meals from the restaurant. Thankyou for starting our journey in Nepal with such beautiful memories 🙏🙏

Very beautiful building with a nice view of the city. Hotel manager and staff were very helpful when I asked to stay one more night.

Super clean, amazing location and the friendliest family running the place, the owner was very kind and made the stay, has a lovely lil kitchen on the rooftop that does lovely breakfast as well as other meals :) definitely recommend!!!!

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! we loved this place, they were so welcoming, the bed was the COMFIEST we have slept in, fantastic wifi (even for streaming Netflix), hot showers. you really couldn’t ask for anything more- the location is just a walk away from all the main things in Thamel but it’s nice and quiet at night for good rest.

We have stayed at Blue Mountain Homestay on 8 separate occasions now and the experience just gets better. Mr and Mrs Buddhi have made sure that your stay with them will be one you enjoy in this sometimes chaotic city. The location is perfect and all the rooms are spotlessly clean and very inviting. We come to Nepal often and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
