Al Meroz Hotel Bangkok - The Leading Halal Hotel

Personal war superfreundlich. 10 Punkte*. Ich persönlich lege keinen großen Wert auf Türsteher/-öffner. Das finde ich als Bonus für Gäste, die das möchten, ganz nett, aber nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Gehört zum Inventar des Hotels dazu?!? 🤣 Fairerweise muss ich anerkennen, dass eine Übernachtung zu dem von mir bezahlten Preis völlig in Ordnung ist. Mehr ist es auch nicht wert… .

Das Frühstück hat mich nicht überzeugt. Angebot, Qualität und Geschmack enttäuschten… .Da bin ich von vergleichbaren 5 Sternehotels wesentlich mehr gewohnt. Mag sein, dass die Einrichtung von einer orientalisch gewohnten Klientel entsprechend gut angenommen wird. Ich fand das Dekor und die Inneneinrichtung sehr altmodisch, wenn nicht zu sagen altbacken. Wie wäre es denn vielleicht mit frischen Blumen in Vasen anstelle von verstaubten Plastikblumen. Mir kommt dieses Hotel nicht mit einem Schwung Frische daher, sondern ist in einer Zeit von Jahrzehnten zurückgeblieben.

كله حشرات وصراصير داخل الغرف وتم تصويرها للاستقبال وقام باستبدال الغرفه ولكن الغرفه الجديده كذلك موجود فيها اكثر من الاولى🙃

Excellent local cuisine. Halal and wonderful varieties each morning. well mannered and helpful staff. Hotel has beautiful Islamic design and architecture and few halal restaurants around. Restaurants are clean and food is cheap and much cheaper than Australia from where we traveled.

Too many mosquitoes, Staff were not helpful. No basic amenities like water/coffee in the lounge area (unless you pay for it) Smelly and dirty rooms. Basic hygiene stuff were not available. Bathroom would randomly get locked, room and bed were small, not suitable for more than 2 people, not even child. Transport options they provide is way too expensive then outside options. not even in a good location from everything else.

Staff at the hotel are amazing, always helpful. Name a few Fattah, Chikka, Noorudeen, Imel….all very attentive to your needs…hotel is well ran. Breakfast is great…variety of food choices from noodles, rice, breads, selection of porridges .. Made me love Jakarta and its people!

Good halal hotel in a non Muslim country. The door staff (bellmen/porters) are very helpful and polite.

The check-in staff seem robotic (unfriendly). The hotel boasts many restaurants but it only has one, and the staff don't speak any English at all, hence made lots of errors in our order and caused delays. We had to wait for check out while they checked our room which took a while, and our taxi was outside - unnecessary slow checkout process.

5성급에 걸맞지 않은 방 컨디션은 별로였습니다. 청결도나, 침대 옆에 콘센트도 꽂을 곳 하나 없고 욕실이나 전신 거울 옆에 콘센트 꽂는 곳이 없어서 헤어 상태를 보면서 준비 할 수 없는 구조여서 좀 불편했습니다.

الفندق إسلامي بالكامل من الطاقم إلى نظام الغرف الراقي ووجود المصلى والهدوء ونظافة الفندق ونظافة المشاهد والاحتشام للعوائل المسلمة، علما ان عندهم نظام جميل وهو من الساعة 6 صباحا حتى الساعة 10 صباحا يُفتح المسبح للنساء فقط ، ايضا وجود مصاعد ، أمانة خدمة الغرف

لا شي يذكر بصراحة ، سوى ان الموقع بعيد نوعاً ما عن سيام سكوير في حدود 35 دقيقة فقط ولكن نظافة الفندق الإسلامي للعوائل لغت كل مشكلات البعد

We had an outstanding stay at Al Meroz Hotel, made even more meaningful by the exceptional care shown to our family during a difficult time. My son was very unwell during our stay, and the hotel went above and beyond to support us — from arranging a late check-out to making thoughtful adjustments to our stay without any hassle. Special thanks to Apisit, the front desk manager, whose warmth and genuine concern made a real difference when we needed it most. He handled everything with patience and professionalism, and it truly felt like the staff cared about us as people, not just guests. The restaurant manager, Thapphisak also deserves a mention — when my son wasn’t able to come down for breakfast, he made sure food was sent up to his room every single day. Small gestures like this meant so much during a stressful time. Beyond the exceptional service, everything about our stay was excellent — comfortable rooms, great food, and a genuinely caring team throughout. Highly recommend Al Meroz to anyone visiting Bangkok, especially families who may need extra support or flexibility. Thank you to the whole team for making a hard time so much easier.

Extremely disappointing stay at Al Meroz Hotel Bangkok — this is NOT a 4-star hotel, it barely deserves 2 stars. We stayed 4 nights with family (4 rooms), and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. Honestly, the positive reviews online feel misleading or fake. Rooms were in very poor condition — toilets constantly blocked, dust everywhere, and a bad smell that never went away. Maintenance and cleanliness are clearly not taken seriously at this hotel. Breakfast was terrible — easily the worst we’ve had anywhere. Very limited, low quality, and not worth it at all. As Muslim travelers, we specifically chose this hotel through a halal-friendly booking platform expecting a clean and comfortable stay. Instead, it was a complete letdown. Do not trust the high ratings. This hotel is poorly managed, badly maintained, and far below the standard it claims. Definitely not worth the money.

-"after checking in I was assigned room 706 but it was without power/electr8city. Room was changed to 811 but after entering the room, I was told it had assigned to another customer. Again room change and finally assigned room 1007. After a long flight this was really frustrating and unexpected - expected good quality of customer service. - when asked for extra bottle of water, I was told I had to pay Baht 35, which was shocking to me. I stayed in many 5- star hotel in various countries but never experienced this.

They asked me 2000 Thai Bhat at 10 AM morning as earlier check in. Room was available and ready and i have to wait in the lobby to check in at 12 PM. I was having long international flight.

I had to change my room because of the air conditioner. The location is not that great but the muslim friendly neighbourhood is worthy. The worst part for me was the constant ants. There are a lot of ants in the rooms so you can’t let any food, any crumb or else a hundred ants will appear but it’s the same everywhere in Thailand so I don’t know if they can do something about it …

- Air-conditioned so loud, have to move the room on the night - first room key was not working. - after moving to another room when we back from dinner new room key not working again. - got a call from reception at 11:30am ask about would you like to stay more night or check out, I ask them back what time is check out, she said 1200 so what the reason to call???? Very annoying 😑 and unprofessional.

The room was spotless, staff were very attentive, and the hotel is just a short walk from the MRT. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

AL Meroz Hotel Bangkok is officially classified as a five-star hotel. When I looked up what defines a five-star property, service is often implied rather than explicitly detailed. For me, true five-star service means staff are accommodating, generous, and solution-oriented — in short, they never say no. Unfortunately, that standard was not met during our stay. Within the first hour of arrival, we experienced several issues. Upon check-in, staff informed us that the hotel offers van service and that we simply needed to notify them 30 minutes in advance. However, when I called the front desk shortly afterward to request transportation, I was told the van was not available and that they could call a Grab for me — something I can easily arrange myself. That inconsistency set the tone. Also within the first hour: The toilet in our room was clogged. We had to request additional toilet paper and towels because the room was not adequately stocked. For a hotel carrying a five-star classification, these oversights are disappointing. Later in our stay, we needed a few documents printed and were charged 10 baht per page. While not a large amount, such small service gestures are typically complimentary at luxury properties, especially considering the room rate. We booked a twin room with breakfast and a vista. The room itself was acceptable, but the bathroom design was concerning. The bathtub lacked vertical handrails, making entry and exit genuinely dangerous. We slipped multiple times on the bathroom floor. This feels like a liability issue waiting to happen. The bathroom amenities — shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion — were of noticeably low quality and did not reflect a five-star standard. We used the “Do Not Disturb” light during our stay. Housekeeping left a note but did not provide fresh towels, water, or replenished toiletries. As a result, we had no additional towels, water, or amenities for the remainder of our stay beyond what we requested during our first hour.

I love everything from the hospitality, cleanliness and breakfast. Absolutely value for money. Will come back on our next thailand trip.

I guess I don’t like that the location was far from the city.(around 30 minute ride to an hour if theres a traffic jam) but other than that, its great.

Staff super helpful and Anirut aka Pooh was great he allowed me to check in earlier than 2pm and helped me to rest as I needed. Staff were awesome… and helpful
