Room was good, clean. Room service was also great.
It was advertised on booking as room with breakfast. The hotel website also says free breakfast. The truth is, the hotel does not provide breakfast at all anymore.
Wonderful staff
Cleanliness

Central location
Room was very hot, and heating was on but was told it wasnt the right time of month for aircon. Room was right next to the front desk which was loud all night due to no soundproofing. Also room windows opened into internal kitchen dining area, so no privacy/fresh air
The hotel’s location is great—you can reach all the main attractions (I mean tourist spots) on foot. The staff are kind and helpful, and it is also safe for solo travelers. The room was clean. I would choose this hotel again on my next visit. The only thing that could be improved is providing breakfast, toothpaste, and water.
The only minor downside was that breakfast wasn’t included, toiletries like toothpaste and a toothbrush weren’t provided, and drinking water was available at an extra cost.
Posizione pulizia e prezzo
Mancanza ristorante e sala comune
Camera sempre rifatta perfettamente.
We stayed 5 nights , we were satisfied , very close all the attractions . The bed is a bit small or I am too big 🤣I liked the floor heating in the shower . People in the hotel there to help . I would chose it again .
I did not like the coffee but I am from different culture . Noise outside started early morning sometimes woke me up .
Did not honor request for twin bed. Was not friendly
Our room was not cleaned for 3 days. Instead of clean towels, the towels that were on the floor were just folded. Washroom was not cleaned for 3 days. They just make your bed with same sheets and that is it. Floor in the room was so uneven and squeaking. Terrible experience overall
Yes
Great service and good food. We had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend.
Well, my stay here was really good Nice clean rooms, kitchen area where breakfast is served is super clean as well. Rooms are cleaned every daynwith fresh towels and the receptionist is super polite, provided an iron in about 3 mins. It's about 4 or 5 mins from the blue mosque, you go outside, left down the very steep road then straight upto the top (very steep) right at mini market, (this is about 1 mins walk) go to the end then take a left. As you go to the end of this street you'll see the blue mosque appear on your right. Would definitely stay here again.
The front desk guys were lovely. Helpful and nice when needed. The location is perfect!
We asked for a garden view but it was booked. They told us the new room had city views but it had carpark view. The breakfast was lovely but the lady was so loud with the dishes.
I would not recommend Four Door Hotel. The staff were very rude and unhelpful from the start, which immediately gave a bad impression. The rooms were not clean, and it was hard to get comfortable. On top of that, the noise from the street kept me awake almost all night, making it impossible to rest. The breakfast was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had at a hotel — very poor quality and not worth it. Overall, a very disappointing experience
Tiny beautiful hotel on a very steep hill. Stayed in the double bed room in the basement. Quiet and comfortable with very good, icy cold air conditioning. Room was small but served its purpose. Free breakfast was delicious! Got to the hotel and after a 22 hour, three flight trip from Canada to Istanbul we were greeted at the hotel with a bombardment of buying a boat cruise excursion ( over $200 Canadian )which was a complete waste of money. Everything is tourist priced in the area so it’s at least three times more expensive than usual. Don’t shop anywhere if there are no price tags. Use public transportation,it’s easy and costs just over a dollar per ride. Absolutely stunning place to see. Highly recommend if you don’t mind walking up many very steep inclines and hot weather! No free beach close by, everything is expensive.
Room was excellent for the price. We asked for a room for 3 people and we got a suite with 2 rooms and 1 and1/2 bathrooms. Everything was clean and breakfast was plentiful and with a lot of choices. Close to main attractions. Highly recommended.
Location is really convenient
I got bitten all over my body by some kind of insects. Went on the reception and ask to the change room. They said they are fully booked and did not offer any possible solution to my problem. Had to rebook another hotel. Of course no money had been refunded.
Good breakfast, view was alright, property was friendly and located near to the main attractions. Room was clean and well situated near restaurants. It is a slightly steep road though. The room we stayed in didn’t have an elevator so we had to transport the bags via the stairs, and WiFi was poor though, constantly cutting out. Overall, good property for the price.
This was a delightful little hotel within walking distance of Sultanahmet, Aya Sofie etc. Our room had a little balcony that had views to the sea. The good breakfast was in a pleasant room
The room was small but efficient for one person, which worked fine for me. The biggest issue was the air conditioning—it was very loud and made whistling noises every 10–15 minutes, which woke me up several times during the night, even with earplugs. My room overlooked the street and parking lot; it could get noisy during the day, but things quieted down by evening. The bathroom had a slight sewer smell, and the towels were badly frayed and really should be replaced. Communication with staff was sometimes difficult due to language barriers, which made it hard to explain my concerns. I didn’t get to try the breakfast since it started at 8:00 am, which is too late if you have early tours.
Clean rooms and quiet area.
Perfect place to stay .. the workers are polite helpful and lovely …. Will stay again if I came to Istanbul again ….
Location was very good, close to all main attractions, this was my second stay
Last time I had bigger room, it is ok as this time I took single room, but still it was too small - there was no space for luggage. I would also appreciate lift to not bother myself with 23 kgs,but receptionist was kind to help me. AC didn't work properly with a very strange sound, so I didn't really sleep properly.
Hotel Review: A Deeply Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at what can only be described as one of the worst hotels I’ve encountered. From start to finish, the experience was far below even basic expectations, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this property entirely. Location & Safety: The hotel is situated in an unsafe and poorly maintained area. Even local taxi services were reluctant to pick up from this location, which speaks volumes. There were no nearby dining options, and services like Uber Eats were not available in the area—making food access a major issue. Facilities & Comfort: The hotel has a scheduled power outage every day from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, during which time there is no electricity and no air conditioning. In a hot climate, this made the rooms unbearably uncomfortable and nearly uninhabitable during those hours. This lack of basic amenities during peak daytime hours is unacceptable for any lodging establishment. Cleanliness & Food: The breakfast offered was not only unappetizing but also questionable in terms of hygiene and quality. It did not meet even the most modest of standards and was left largely untouched. Service: Customer service was nonexistent. The staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and seemed completely indifferent to guest concerns. At no point did I feel welcomed or valued as a guest. Overall Impression: This hotel fails in every critical area: safety, cleanliness, service, a
The hotel is clean and very well located, the personnel is somewhat indifferent, of the two male receptionists the one with the dark hair is nice enough, the one with lighter hair not so nice. Sorry I do not have their names. The breakfast is good, and the lady who works there is very attentive, and yet, one day she was sneezing all over the food. I am convinced the cold we caught originated there. If they assign you a basement room, try to change it, the floors are high, and there are 3 windows at street level, so you get quite a bit of noise and they do not have shades/curtains covering them completely.
For commuting to this area you must have minimum luggage since the area has lots of elevations
Great staff! Extremely helpful. They arranged a taxi to airport, had an extremely tasty breakfast daily, my room was spotless and very modern! Thanks!
Die Lage war sehr zentral
Personal sehr freundlich
The hotel is acceptable, but the staff are not very welcoming.
Positive : Room and bathroom are very clean. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was rather basic but of good quality. Excellent location for visiting main tourist attractions like the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazar and Hagia Sophia as these are within walking distance. Also very close to restaurants and bars. Negative : Not everybody at the reception speaks English. The hotel is in an area with some very steep slopes (as Istanbul is build on 7 hills, this was to be expected). This makes the hotel not easy to access for people with physical handicaps or elder people. Not much parking space and very narrow streets around the hotel area. The seaview from the room is not as shown on website. Coffee and thee in the room is not replenished after use, so after 1 day you are without.
Lovely boutique hotel in a quieter area of Istanbul, still walking distance to major sites in Old Town. They set us up with a fun Bosphorus cruise and a delightful, luxurious Turkish bath and massage! Their breakfast was delicious with interesting local cuisine.
Don’t over sleep because u will miss the housekeeping,I ask for housekeeping they told me no housekeeping available at this moment, which I see it inconvenient for me Don’t lose the key room they will charge you five euro and they give you only one key even if you have two people, that’s what happened with me. I never had experience about that hotel charge five euro if you lost the key room
Clean and comfortable. Very close to the historic core and easy to get everywhere. Great breakfast.
Near to several tourist sites within walking distance. Lots of nearby restaurants, shopping and mosques. Breakfast was generally very good. Very hilly and steep streets, have to be physically fit to traverse the terrain. Excellent stay, hotel staff were very good.
The interior
We stayed on the top floor and there didn’t appear to be any evacuation procedures/facilities in the event of a fire etc
Our stay at this property was excellent, the suite was clean, the staff was extremely friendly especially the lady that serve the breakfast, and the two gentleman’s that work at the front desk , always willing to assist us
Would definitely recommend
Excellent services and hotel was very clean.
Excellent accommodation for Istanbul! Highly recommend this place for the cleanliness, space, and location. The owner was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay and allowed us early check in without issue. Breakfast was included and we loved our time here! The rooms were clean and room service did a fantastic job maintaining the space every day. The bathroom was very spacious with plenty of room to get ready comfortably. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the main city-center and the staff are incredibly helpful for anything you need. One thing to note is that the hotel is at the top of a somewhat steep hill, but beyond that we had absolutely no complaints with booking this place. Again, highly recommend.
Location is great.! We walked to everything we wanted to see.
Very comfortable bed, modern decor and bathroom facilities. The room and bathroom were very clean. However there were problems. The sliding door of the bathroom was very difficult to open and shut as it had come away from the wall. The toilet lid was broken and kept falling down. Not nice while using it. The TV didn't work and had to be reprogrammed online which took forever. The guy on night service was sullen and unfriendly and made no effort to rectify anything. It's a pity because it could be a really nice little hotel.
Walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, grand bazaar and cistern. Close to restaurants.
Enjoyed my stay here. Very convenient to the major landmarks.
The hotel is located in a convenient location, pretty close to the tram stop and also walking distance to main attractions. The room was good. Breakfast was fine with enough choice. The staff was nice but now and then we had issues communicating as their English was very basic.
In one of the rooms we booked the shower door wasn't closing properly. It's worth it to get it fix as it's flooding the floor each time a shower is being taken.
Clean, good location, great breakfast, the staff were helpful.
The hotel was perfectly located in the old town, with the blue mosque and other attractions within 10 minutes walk. There were also plenty of restaurants in the area and the tram to go to other parts of the city was also withing 15 minutes walk. The breakfast was great and had lots of options, the eggs were hot and fresh everyday! The staff was friendly and recommended us where to get food and how to find the safest ATM. The only thing to note is that our rooms were on the ground floor, right next to the reception, this was loud at times as the walls were not insulated and we could hear everything that went on in the reception until late at night. Earplugs did help but if you're a light sleeper I would recommend asking for a room on another level.
To much noise at night couldn’t sleep. Had to pay for drinking water.
Everything thing was amazing. The room was good and the breakfast lady was very nice. The only thing to note is there's two buildings in this hotel and the second building does not have an elevator. We booked the deluxe double room with sea view and it was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so bringing the luggage to the room with no help was a difficult task. Thank you.
This hotel it's walking distance to several attractions service was amazing and hotel was really clean
I got the superior Room with a balcony over looking the bosphorus strait top floor no other room on our floor watch the sunset in our balcony quiet and buffet breakfast lots of choices
This hotel is amazing, clean, modern and properly located. The breakfast is a full turkish buffet. Hospitality is top notch. A short walk to the Grand Bazaar.
Overall had a good experience but the hotel doesnt have noise cancelling. We could hear our neighbours screaming at each other every night. Just be prepared to experience paper thin walls. The breakfast spread is average. They cleaned our room everyday so thats a plus.
Loved location. Very nice staff helped with booking tours. Would not recommend for elderly since has steep/ uphill routes.
our stay at four doors hotel in Istanbul was excellent. The hotel is very clean and their breakfast is amazing. We stayed there before and loved it so that is why we went back to this hotel.
Very clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and delicious breakfast spread provided each morning.
This attractive hotel was clean and comfortable, located in an excellent spot for visiting many of Istanbul's historic sights. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of delicious food. I would highly recommend this hotel for one's next stay in the city.
Weather let us down a bit for this trip. Hotel was not as described.
Although the property was clean it was dated and very small . Reception was really nonexistent. Staff spoke little to no English breakfast was very limited. Just 2 hot drinks tea and coffee no herbals tea or hot chocolate. The hot food was cold. Was a good location
Amazing stay
Property was decent and was only 8-10 mins walk towards the grand bazaar. We did request a twin room for our visit but was given a king bed which was a problem but had to put up with it as apparently there was no availability. There was no A/C in our room and was very warm and there was no facilities for this. The breakfast included was very basic.
Everything was excellent, close to famous site, staff are lovely people.
Pretty bad hotel. Claiming sea view rooms and rooms don’t have sea view. Also faucets are broken and ceiling had molds.
m
This place excelled our expectations! We picked this place based on positive review and we weren’t wrong Great customer service, More options in the breakfast menus. Price reasonable . Will definitely come back again
Everything
Perfect from start to finish. Good location, good breakfast.
Good location, really comfortable bed
The breakfast was boring, the same every day in a cold small place. The eggs and everything was cold, the women in the kichen wasn't kind , wash the dishes while you eating, and rude when you would like a 2. plate...
Room and hotel description does not match the reality
It's a good property
This a small hotel with nice, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The Turkish style breakfast is tasty and filling with plenty of choice. It's very close to the tourist attractions, restaurants, transport etc. It's quite difficult to find at first as it's tucked away in a corner of Sultanhamet. The streets round and about are narrow, cobbled and steep. Good mobility is needed. All in all I enjoyed staying here.
A small local hotel, comfortable & easy access to a lot of eateries & attractions. We arrive pretty early in the morning and the hotel staff is nice to allow us to check in early.
We loved it. Thank you

I was really amazing service i highly recommend it 👌
The place was affordable and decently appointed, the manager was wonderfully friendly and polite. So conveniently located. I would definitely stay there again.
All of the bed pillows were firm, too firm for me. Even went down to the single room at the end of the hallway to see if I could find a softer pillow and could not. Having at least one less firm/softer pillow as an option would be most helpful.
They made me and my wife feel like family and did everything they could to make us feel at home there
We had a room with double bed and bathroom, i am not sure which one it was exactly. But it was more than enough for us. We had a bathroom with shower. Daily room cleaning service was done with towels change, cleaning and topping up of any items that needed to. There was good heating in the building which kept us warm as temperatures were not all warm during the time we went. The hotel was situated with 5-10 mins walk to Blue Mosque, grand bazaar and the bus tram stops. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in any questions, order food or guidance we asked. Breakfast included all basics. İt was good but its one thing that could be improved on. Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant and we didnt have any kinds of problems or issues. As long as you speak to the staff they are very friendly and helpful. İ would definitely recommend and wouldn't mind coming back here. We would give it 10/10
Simply amazing
I’m giving this place 5 stars and more for their outstanding hospitality, from the front desk to the dining room to the room cleaning staff. Although the breakfast was the same daily, we enjoyed it. Our room on the second floor was spacious and featured a large bathroom. The hotel is within walking distance of major attractions, including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Topkapi Palace. It's also conveniently located near public transportation and offers a pleasant walk to the seashore for a Bosphorus cruise. There are great restaurants and shops nearby, making it a very convenient location. However, it can be noisy in the area due to the proximity of all the hotels and tourist attractions. Keep in mind that the area has a rich history, and the side streets are cobblestone and hilly. We were there during the first week of October and it was sunny and warm every day. Also, stray cats are everywhere and well-loved. A few stray dogs and they are also cared for.
The property was in an excellent location. The staff was great even with the language barrier. The room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great and plentiful to start our busy days of sightseeing. I would highly recommend this hotel!
This hotel was an outstanding value for the price! Friendly staff. Immaculately clean. Excellent breakfast. We stayed in the Sea View room on the top floor. Lovely view, especially at night with the boats on the sea. Would definitely return without hesitation. Highly recommended!
