Reviewed Sep 19, 2026La ubicación, en pleno centro de Madrid, a un paso de Ópera. Muy bien comunicado con metro. Rodeado de tiendas de barrio, restaurantes, cafés y cultura. Además, la habitación era cómoda y contaba con todo lo necesario. Repetiría.
A pesar de las ventajas de un alojamiento así, continúa teniendo precios altos.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026The location is very good and communication with the staff was excellent. The room was clean and it was thoroughly cleaned every day. The AC functioned properly and the shower gel / shampoo bottles were filled in with quality products. The furniture and appliances are still new and very functional, despite their minimalism. There were plugs and night tables on each side of the bed. The floor is a decorative cement that keeps cool in the summer and is easy to clean. There was a refilled bottle of water with two glasses on the desk every morning after cleaning, which was very useful when coming back to the room from a hot day outside. The small fridge and the AC (set at a higher temperature) were quiet. The room also had a kettle, biscuits and tea bags but we did not try them. The WiFi worked well in the room and all the common areas. In the reception area there are three lockers (two small and one big) with code which may be very useful if one arrives in the morning as between 22:00 and 14:00 there is no one at the reception desk. In the small locker one can put two regular backpacks (the kind that is usually placed under the seat in the airplane). The big locker can accommodate a bigger suitcase such as those that are checked in when flying.
The bed (one mattress on two separate steel supports with wheels) was unstable and during the first night it was impossible to sleep as at every move the supports were squeaking. The second night I changed sides with my partner and it was better but the whole bed still felt quite unstable. The staff answered fast and offered a room change but we decided to stay as after changing sides it was better and we could rest. The sink in the bathroom is a bit on the small side and for some people might be difficult to wash their face properly there. Washing the face while taking a shower in the morning was a good alternative. There is no problem in washing the hands well in that sink though. The accommodation is on the 2nd floor and the building has an elevator but it can be reached after several stairs, which may be inconvenient for people with mobility difficulties. The building staircase looks a bit derelict, with uneven steps and occasional stuffy smells, but when the windows were open the smell was obviously less of a problem. All doors are painted a shocking blue on all floors, which may be a bit off putting for some people especially in a building and an area with some history behind, but the place is clean and safe, including for solo female travelers.

Evidentemente no es culpa del lugar sino de la situación pero hay bastante ruido exterior por ser una zona tan céntrica de Madrid y estar cerca de una pequeña plaza

The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan, so we had to open the window a bit, which let street noise in.

The staff worked with us on dropping of our luggage early before check in, much appreciated!!! Also an issue with the door code was corrected right away! Awesome staff!! Thank you!
It would be nice to have a wash cloth in the bathroom, as there was only the hand towels and bath towels. We are just used to having them. And although the elevator works great, the stairs are a bit dilapidated and very uneven. It makes it a bit tricky if going that way, and we are stair people, it is part of our daily routine to help keep us in better shape. Small things that did not take away from the best parts! Thanks!

Tendo em conta que estávamos no centro do centro de Madrid, poderia significar algum ruído, mas não aconteceu: as janelas mantêm o silêncio perfeito dentro do quarto. Extremamente limpo, fácil de aceder através de código e com facilidades para guardar as malas antes do check-in e depois do check-out. A Helena foi um encanto de paciência, super simpática e atenciosa. Voltaremos sem dúvida.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Zentral gelegen und trotzdem eher ruhig. Pastelería Santa Eulalia mit dem besten Frühstück ever an der selben Strasse. Der Plaza de Mayor ist direkt neben an. Mitten im Barrio Austrias findet man auf Schritt und Tritt feine kleine Details die den Aufenthalt speziell machen. Gleich gegenüber des Bypillow Citadel ist übrigens der älteste Sohn von Gayo auf die Welt gekommen.
Das Schlesssystem ist nicht unproblematisch. Um die Zimmertüre zu öffnen, brauchten wir immer mehrere Anläufe. Sonst waren wir jedoch sehr zufrieden.

On the first night, there was no hot water. When I called the emergency line, I was told to go to sleep and that it would be fixed in the morning. The person kept saying ‘good night’ repeatedly, which felt dismissive in that situation.
