Voyageur Motel

— Has convenience of being able to cook one’s meal although we didn’t use any of the cooking equipment — Accessible from the main road through Rocky Mountain House and Range Road 63 — Very clean and some interior renovation clearly done in the bathroom and guest room — Very helpful staff in Fred! We grazed a huge porcupine in the middle of the range road and he lent us a pliers and an empty cup to remove and collect the porcupine’s needles. We asked Fred if we could borrow a broom and dust pan to sweep off the porcupine’s needles that fell onto the ground, but he let us know that he’s take care of them. Thank you so much for your help and assistance!

— Bed is only a full or double and dips towards the middle when both husband and wife sleep which do not make for a comfortable night’s rest — Missing or no night table on the left side of bed to place phone or eyeglasses down—easily remedied by pulling one of the dining table chairs — Being asked to photocopy a driver’s license for incidentals that will be retained for a year due to incidents like guests taking the key upon checkout—we understand why—it probably costs a fortune to replace keys but perhaps a mailbox of some sort should be attached to the door so guests in a hurry to leave could drop off their keys there?

The man at the desk was kind. The check in and out was very quick and easy. Affordable (but sometimes its better to just spend the extra $40-$60 dollars to stay somewhere more comfortable)

I was very confused upon entering the suite as the other reviews were so good! The smell was awful, I actually went and bought airfreshner. The suite was dirty. Mud at the bottom of the bed frames, dirt all over the walls. Black stuff on the fridge and floor around the fridge. The 100 year old sponge left in the sink. The front desk man was concerned about the noise my dog and I would make throughout the night and had us promise him we would be quiet, but did not mention the amount of noise that came from the worker men who stayed in the motel, too. I would have cancelled this room to stay somewhere else, but it was a long weekend and everywhere else was booked up.

I did not like diesel trucks idling 15 feet from my door at 3.15 in the morning for an hour at a time. At one time there was 6 diesels running at the same time . There was a diesel smell in my room both nites. I only slept for 5 hours over 2 nites.

The room is nice and the hotel staff are accommodating. The location is also great as it is near the usual establishments you'll look for when you are on the road. I am glad that I got value for money.

My favorite feature in this hotel was the huge bathtub! We came to Rocky Mountain House for hiking and it was so nice to soak in a deep bathtub after hiking.

Everythinbg we needed room very clean just right for couple night stay nothing fancy but dont need it. Just need it to sleep and shower. WE spend little time in the room. Parking is limited but we did ok. Price is right. Staff friendly and helpful. We would highly recomment it. Thanks for the weekend.

We liked how clean the place was and that it had everything in the room we needed and the ac worked. There was a pretty good amount of parking even with it being a busy weekend in town. The owner gave great instructions at check in and for check out. We didn’t hear much noise throughout the night which was nice. We drove a motor bike and felt it was safe for the night(which is was)

The doors to the rooms could be better sealed. The rooms look a little dated but that’s not overly important for us. A night stand for each side of the bed would be nice. Parts of the parking lot/ property looked cluttered and dirty.

Place is really good except there was a some kind of smell. Which I believe Simone must have done some smoking inside of it, even we asked for non smoking room!

This is my third stay at Voyageur Motel. One of the reasons that I like the location is because there is a Boston Pizza across the road. As well, the motel is easily accessable.

Good motel. Our room included a small kitchen and induction cook top. Very handy for multiple night stay. Average location of the motel and parking situation is very casual though not an issue. Staff was nice during late check in. Definitely recommend.

Stayed here for a wedding and the staff were friendly! The room I was in was dated but it was nice and clean! The AC was strong! It was surprisingly quiet being beside the main highway. Would stay again~

The cleanest hotel/motel in Alberta (and I 've been to quite a lot). All you could possibly need - TV, kitchenette, even BBQ area. Yes - the rooms are comparably small and modest, but the best in a class

Earlier check in, received upgrade to get ground floor for mobility reasons. Stay here every time we come to area. Like kitchenette.

I was pleasantly surprised, very nice room with everything from an induction cooktop to a full fridge. Only thing was I wish there were more secure locks on the inside and a sign for housekeeping.
